1) My interpretation of the Pact Mark of Gluttony (Beelzebub) for my current MC Zinc, which is the werefox I posted earlier. As seen there’s is some variation in the way it’s colored because I had a few combos I wanted to try out. I think combo I like most is the last one, just had to lower the opacity on the oranges a bit.
2) Also, Zinc’s fully human form! Decided to finally work this one out since both the Halfway and Full Beast forms have solid designs already.
(I’m going to be reusing pic’s from previous posts)
3) Technically only a fourth of the way between human and beast forms
4) The Halfway form! Bigger, stronger, and fluffier.
5) Full Beast form! Overall the fluffiest.
6) A little bonus close up on one of the smaller details that I am very happy with. Very much a shading win in my books.

Poll for my WIP Enchanted Illusions
Okay, so, I am developing one of my minor WIPs, my Victorian gothic fantasy, Enchanted Illusions. It takes place in a vaguely Victorian (as the genre suggests) inspired world where magic, monsters, and myths come to life amidst all the humans. I already know that it has Vampires, Dhampirs (half-human, half-vampires), Wizards/Sorcerers, and some form of ghostly hauntings, BUT... I need help to figure out what other creatures I should add to this period. (As in, actively create an MC that is a mythological creature). Keep in mind that the vibe of this story is heavily inspired by classic gothic literature, and so the creature this character will be should fit this vibe.

Gunnerkrigg Court: Chapter 3 part 1 (title page)
So considering how fascinating the title page is I decided to dedicate the first post to it.
I’m sure those of you who know how I work are not surprised.
Stuff like this is like cocaine to me. :D
Before we continue I wish to address something I discovered while reading chapter 2. It’s an alchemy symbol. I recognize most symbols since I find them fascinating. But it was so late at night I didn’t look into it until yesterday.
And then I saw the title page for chapter 3

So the symbol turned out to be for the element Antimony. Which also happens to be the element our MC is named after. Very interesting. Let’s investigate further.
And thanks to this neat little site. I have been made aware it also symbolizes wild spirit. Wolves in particular. Very interesting and I’ll say why.
Wolf lecture time :D
Many peoples throughout the world respected and thought very positively of wolves. Among the various peoples and tribes of North America, wolf represents not only creation, but also death and rebirth. Wolf is also seen as a teacher-animal to the peoples of California and the Great Plains. They saw the wolf retreat into the mountains and hills to get away from humans, and made the connection between wolves and high places (in other words, spirit). In the Lakota language, the word for wolf, sunkmanitu, means “divine dog.”
In western Europe, wolves were not seen as positively. In both German and Norse mythology, wolf was a symbol of destruction and death. Vikings saw wolf as a representation of Fenris (their Chaos), who would bite through his chains and consume the sun at the end of time. In an unusual story exhibiting the wolf’s loyalty, in Great Britain, Merlin in his time of madness is kept company by a she-wolf, who stays by his side until he becomes well again. Romulus and Remus, the famous twins in pre-Roman times, were said to have been raised by a she-wolf--even suckled by her.
Wolves are respected nearly everywhere except Europe, where they are instead feared. They are seen as teachers, instructing us in our daily lives and all the troubles that go with them. The lessons wolf teaches are not always easy to swallow, but nevertheless necessary. Wolf is a symbol of guardianship, ritual, loyalty, and spirit. Wolf has the ability to make quick and firm emotional attachments, and often need to trust their own instincts. Thus they teach us to do the same, to trust our hearts and minds, and have control over our own lives.
Antimony is a regarded as a cooperative metal because it works best when it is combined with another metal, notably lead, brass and bronze. It is actually a metalloid that does not react chemically as a metal but has metal-like appearance & physical properties. It is a protective metal and teaches the values of transformation and adaptability. It teaches of wisdom and strength that can be gained from others and also given in return. Antimony represents the free spirit, wild nature or animal power dwelling within all humans. A person can benefit by wearing this symbol when feeling meek.
Governed by the planet Saturn, Lead has dark connections and is related to death and transformation. This toxic metal represents impurities, of the metals as well as the humans and its burning is metaphoric with cleansing and removal of imperfections. It was associated with divination spells. The lead was one of the earliest metals known to man and was widely used by the ancient Romans, Egyptians, Greek, and Chinese.
Now I couldn’t find an animal like with the others but if I looked up the planet it’s connected to then I get this. Saturn historically governs snakes, mice, foxes, dragons, and nocturnal birds of prey such as the owl. It is interesting to note that the owl is commonly misunderstood as a symbol of death.
ANTIMONY is also used for hardening LEAD.
Associated with the planet of the same name, Mercury is an unusual metal that exists in the liquid form at room temperature. It is a toxic metal and is associated with death, mystery, and transformation. It is connected with divination and scrying. Mercury is also related to travel and movement, be it of physical or spiritual nature. The metal was known to the ancient Romans, Greeks, Hindus, and Chinese. The alchemists considered it one of the three principal substances on Earth, along with salt and sulfur. The metal is often also represented by a serpent or snake.
The Roman god he was often accompanied by a cockerel, herald of the new day, a ram or goat, symbolizing fertility, and a tortoise
Similiarities between all three: Common heavy metals, toxic trace elements. (Side note all three along with another element cadmium can be found in never-pregnant women of fertile age.)
Next we have the title. And here is where it gets extra interesting.
Now what’s interesting is that Lead is connected to foxes... and this tale is about a man who is a werefox.
Makes me wonder if we are going to run into a character who will have ties to the element. And if we are going by the legend they will try to attract others. Even though they are a dangerous person with possible ill intentions that could lead to death.
Anyways let’s move on to the ballad itself to see how it relates to the story now.
In a historical context, a rake (short for rakehell, analogous to "hellraiser") was a man who was habituated to immoral conduct, particularly womanising. Often, a rake was also prodigal, wasting his (usually inherited) fortune on gambling, wine, women and song, and incurring lavish debts in the process.
And the werefox claims to want concealment... the action of hiding something or preventing it from being known.
This Reynardine is quite the chrismatic... and seems to merge well with Lead symbolism. Hmmmmm... Interesting.
Anyways Antimony may end up running into someone of a “foxy” nature. Badoom psh.
Also she may have connections with wolves... just saying.
I love Alchemy and wonder how much we will see intertwined with the story. :D

🦊SHAPESHIFTER🐺 🔥This novel is the 2nd book in The Madison Wolves Series. Werefox, Michaela Redfur and Lara Burns, the Madison Wolves alpha. "A new threat. Durian, alpha of the Chicago wolves, wants Lara's pack for himself in order to replenish his dwindling power. Michaela and her fears built from the past while struggling to find her place in the pack." 🦊 I loved the build-up this one had. The difference between each character is so clear, that when one compromises, you can feel the necessity of it all, Love like that is just so beautiful. That's what Michaela and Lara have. Admirable. 🐺 The stuff that happened in this book though, some were rather intense and slightly triggering, especially those intimate scenes between Mich and Lara, I would feel vulnerable if I was in Mich's shoes. I would probably not be able to do what she did. 🦊 So far, all men in this series are bad news, apart from Benny of course. Durian definitely had it coming and don't talk to be about his wuss son, little fucker was just overly dramatic. never gonna give you up
I am looking for CHARLIE HUNNAM as the estranged husband of my Elizabeth Olsen character. He was human when they met, but his species is open to having changed just like hers since she's a werefox. Their marriage wasn't good and ended on their one year anniversary with him hitting her then her stabbing him and running off with the carnival. Sound dramatic enough?
They haven't seen one another in almost three years, but I'd like to see them reunited; however, this is not an intended romantic relationship so much as a power struggle. He could come in with ties to the Sons of Mayhem motorcycle club in town since her history mentions he existed within the MC world without details. I'd prefer his arrival was relatively new, though since the carnival she lives and works in only arrived earlier this year.

Mc!Zinc pact mark placement headcannons
Pride: Lucifer’s pact mark rests on the knuckles of Zinc’s right hand. The symbol is near/on the middle knuckle with feather-like flourishes on either side and is Royal Blue in color. (#4169e1)
Greed: Mammon’s pact mark wraps around the second joint of Zinc’s right side middle finger like a ring. The symbol is on the underside of the finger with a simple array of dots that rap all the way around and is Goldenrod in color. (#DAA520)
Envy: Leviathan’s pact mark rests above Zinc’s tailbone. When Zinc is in a form where his tail is out the symbol sits a few inches up from where it protrudes. The flourishes look like a snakes open mouth and are a Marmalade orange in color. (#D16002)
Wrath: Satan’s pact mark is on the back of Zinc’s left hand. The symbol is in the middle of his hand and the flourish looks like an open book that’s directly centered around the symbol. It is India Green in color. (#138808)
Lust: Asmodeus’s pact mark is on the underside of Zinc’s chin and is rather small. The symbol is slightly off center, closer to the back of the space near his neck with swirl like flourishes stemming from it that end off in a flower petal shape. It’s Azalea in color. (#c53d56)
Gluttony: Beelzebub’s pact mark sits over Zinc’s heart. The symbol is a few inches down from the collarbone with curved lines, hearts, and little diamond shaped flourishes. It’s Blood red in color. (#880808)
Sloth: Belphagor’s pact mark sits on the back of Zinc’s neck. The symbol is a few inches below the hairline with simple looking cloud flourishes and is Periwinkle in color. (#CCCCFF)
Other miscellaneous pact mark headcanons
The pact marks can shift their appearance to match the strength of the relationship between demon and pact holder. The stronger the relationship between demon and pact holder (platonic or otherwise) the more the mark grows out from the demon’s symbol.
Beel, Satan, and Levi’s pact marks are the most elaborate.
The purple in Belphie’s pact mark is constantly being mistaken as a bruise which is something Belphie has conflicting feelings about.
I might draw out what the pact marks look like at some point in the future but I just needed to get them down so my brain can move on to other things :)

Decided to use Hero Forge to do the full body design for all three of my Obey Me MC’s forms :)
Also some bonus info about his forms:
-Zinc in his human form is 5ft 3in and 105lbs
-Zinc in his halfway form is 7ft 2in and 163lbs
-Zinc in his beast form is 10ft 6in and 236lbs
•In his human form Zinc has slightly increased senses and endurance but is weaker and less agile. This form is best suited for cramped environments and traveling long distances on foot.
•In his halfway form Zinc has increased durability, agility, strength, and his senses are enhanced by a lot. This is typically the most balanced form for everyday life.
•In his beast form Zinc is at his largest, strongest, most durable, and most agile but his size can be a detriment in quite a few situations. This form also uses the most energy so it is usually reserved for situations that demand quick and efficient action.

I decided that Zinc, having been raised by a werefox family group (or Skulk), is very touchy. His biggest love language is physical touch. He drags the HOL boys (and occasionally the others if given the opportunity) into cuddle piles because it reminds him of piling up with his siblings when it gets colder. When he does he almost always takes up his full beast form so he can curl himself around whoever he’s cuddling, otherwise he lays across people like a giant, furry weighted blanket. The most common victims of the Zinc cuddle pile are Mammon and Beel though it’s also not uncommon for Zinc to drag as many people into it as are willing.

Latest drawing, first time I have had the motivation to art in awhile and it was a Zinc. I’m very happy with these results even if I wish my brain would let draw literally anybody else.
The motivation for this stemmed entirely from listening to one cover of “Rises the Moon” on repeat for an hour so there is that.
