standing headcanon of mine I think more people should use: iskall and stress still worship the vault gods on hermitcraft. a little bit of improvisation sometimes has to be done in order to do the proper sacrifices, but it wouldn’t really do to get their gods upset with them while they’re away.

The Secret Keeper is the only vault god you can make sacrifices to. Gives you additional hearts/healing ability in the vault if you do a task it gives you
The four vault gods all giving different secrets and representing various past seasons of Life (Tenos - Third Life, Idona - Last Life, Velara - Double Life, Wendarr - Limited Life)

Ok so I LOVE the Vault Gods and I'm already going crazy from the Hermitcraft Vault Hunter series, so here are my headcanons for which of the participating hermits will find favour with which gods, and why. This has nothing to do with their play styles btw this is entirely guessing based on vibes:
BdoubleO100 - Clock boy will worship clock god. Wendarr loves time. Can't wait to see him build a temple to Wendarr outside the vaults.
EthosLab - Tenos. The man is a loot goblin and the promise of treasure will be irresistible to him. This also makes VH! Bdubs and VH!Etho into Loot&Scoot
FalseSymmetry - I was originally going to say False would go for Idona but I actually think False is more of a Velara kind of gal?
Hypnotizd - I'm feeling Idona for Hypno. Seeing him in the first vault he was so focused on Killing he completely missed mining up four different ore POIs... in part because he didn't know they were treasure!
iJevin - Speedrunner go fast. Wendarr.
ImpulseSV - I watch Impulse a lot but I'm finding him hard to pin down! Currently thinking he might be drawn towards Idona for the shard shopping? Or maybe Wendarr because yellow.
Iskall85 - In his other SMPs Iskall usually seems to be drawn towards Velara I think, but here he seems more Wendarr or Tenos aligned? Maybe it's just because he's using the early episodes to help his friends find their footing with the vaults and the gods? But let's be real - Iskall is too ingrained in the vaults themselves to fully belong to any one god over the others.
JoeHills - I feel like Joe is incredibly Wendarr aligned already, not least because of his philosophical musings on the way time passes differently in vaults.
Rendog - Do you think Rendog the bloody handed king will be able to pass up the worship of a god like Idona? For real? Like Bdubs, I expect to see a temple built outside the vaults.
StressMonster101 - Stress is giving either Velara or Idona vibes to me, mostly because of Muscle Vaults I think. Either health or strength, you know?
VintageBeef - Beef is building a battle royale arena for his card game on hermitcraft, so his friends can fight to the death to get better cards instead of buying them from him. Idona.
Welsknight - Wels has played Vault Hunters before, and is always asking questions. I feel like Tenos is the knowledge god? So Tenos to me.
xBCrafted - XB went in to the first vault with no healing? Velara worshipper already if you ask me.
Xisumavoid - X took time in the first vault to gather blocks for his base, both at the beginning and at the end of his run. This is SUCH a Wendarr move to me.

Here is a Minecraft deities/entities list I have created for myself but that I tought might help out others so I am putting it here... It's a mix canon headcanons, theories and interpretations so everyone is free to disagree with stuff, also keep in mind I am not into all these series so I am not an expert and a lot of these was made through research.
Creation deities and fundamental concepts of the universe:
Mojang/Minecraft/Microsoft - triple faced embodyiment of existance.
Hatsume Miku - canon creator of Minecraft apparently.
Clara - goddess of space.
Wendarr The Timekeeper - god of time.
Sad ist - goddess of lore (not canon but I find it funny so I am keeping it here).
Joehills - as Joehills, also a Joehills.
Molympus Slimecicle - God of magic, enchanting and crafting.
Molympus Condi - god of dimensions.
Light associated deities:
Jeb - creator and god of colours, probably inventor of light.
Aeor - reindeer deity of light and good.
BdoubleO - as god of the sun, possibly a god of rulers (he is the kingmaker after all).
Darkness associated deities:
Exor - god of darkness and evil.
The World Historian - god of the void.
Null - god of emptyness, the lack of existance.
Life/nature/earth deities:
Prime - goddess of Life and possibly Fortune.
Velara The Benevolent - goddess of health, healing, regeneration, possibly growth.
PearleascentMoon/Santa Perla - goddess of agricolture and fertility, possibly goddess of the moon. (Agricultural cycles used to be measured using the moon cycle in the past so not too unlikely).
The Goat goddess (the perimeter one)- mostly a goddess of redstone but also goddess of tomatoes and fertility.
Molympus Grizzly - god of nature and tools.
Molympus Blitzy - god of mobs and animals.
Death/rebirth gods and entities:
Kristin - goddess of death and depending on interpretation the afterlife.
PhilZa - The angel of death.
Foolish - as the totem god of undying, is also a sky god and a sea god.
Lady Irene - I am not sure exactly about her domain but I am putting her here because it fits the themes.
Shad the destroyer - could have put him with the chaos gods but this feels like a better placement.
XD - as the god of Limbo, is also the main dsmp god and possibly a god of dreams.
Chaos gods:
Dianite - god of chaos and the Nether, also a god of trade and thievery.
Entity 404 - entity of pandemonium, somewhere between god and demon.
The blood god - pretty self explanatory.
Idona the malevolent - goddess of conflict and war or murder(?). Possibly a goddess of retribution like Nemesis in greek mythology.
Drista - goddess of mischief, pranks and levity (I think?).
The egg - who tought to create a sentient parasitic red egg is either a genius or insane lmao.
Herobrine - as creator/entity/deity of monsters, also possibly a god of mist.
Sky and water deities:
Jimmy - as demigod of rivers, possibly also a Listener.
Axolotl Lizzy - demigoddess of the ocean.
S2 Joel - god of the sky.
The Sky Gods (Wilbur Soot random items videos)
Foolish - as a sea and a sky god, also totem god of undying.
Herobrine - as possibly the god of mist, also creator/entity/deity of monsters.
Order gods:
Mianite - god of order, law and the Overworld.
BdoubleO - as possibly the god of rulership, also sun god.
Cucurucho - as rule enforcer entity...thing, also Qsmp entity.
Neutral gods and entities:
Ianite: Goddess of balance and the end.
Gray forester: Grayscale entity.
Tenos The Omniscient- god of experience, knowledge and wisdom.
Eldritch gods:
Grian - Watcher.
Martyn - Listener.
Jimmy - as possibly a Listener, also a demigod of rivers.
Joehills - as Joehills, also a Joehills.
Server gods and entities:
XD - as main god of the dsmp, also god of Limbo and possibly a god of dreams.
Callahan - minor dsmp deity.
Tubbo - main god of the Bear smp.
Cucurucho and Other Qsmp entities.

Was watching Iskall's Vault Hunters series and it really started to hit me just how much of the lore of the Vaults feels vaguely Watcher-related. For example the Vault God named Wendarr, who the more I look at the more I feel is connected to Martyn. Time alignment because of Limited Life? Same color palette? And then you realize each of the other three Vault Gods could correspond to the rest of the players who've ascended because of the Watchers (minus Scott because the Watchers hate him). Idonna Red? That's Grian. Velara Green? Saint Pearl. Tennos Blue? BigB or Scar. I dunno man, but from now on, all the Watchers in my fanfic are gonna be named Wendarr, Idonna, Tennos, and Velara.

I want to talk about the Vault Gods and my design process
Each idol was drawn as though they were statues or altar peices, something of worship not necessarily what the gods look like but what the villagers would interpret their looks to be.
First I wanted to ensure that they looked like villagers, or have a villager template. The initial drafts has them with their arms together in a villager pose.
Each design had multiple aspects I gave them, a material, a gem, a minecraft mob, and an item
Idona The Malevolent, kill and sacrifice the marked to appease this god
The idol is designed after cinnabar a toxic red material with high levels of mercury.
Idonas item is the vault hunters altar with reference and designs inspired by Mayan and Aztec sacrificial alters.
They are designed to look like a bat and a Wolf with lots of sharp angles and shapes, with cultish and sacrifical undertones
The eyes are rubies, a gemstone that symbolises life force. They are cut with a 5 point star facet and bezel with means the eyes are also pentacles, there is also a hidden sacrificial knife in the eyes.
They say experience makes you wiser, but is it wise to give it up for treasure? Sacrifice your experience and knowledge to Tenos the Omniscient to be granted treasure beyond your wildest dreams.
Tenos is made of silver or iron, a pure metal that is reflective
Tenos has the enchanting table book, a potion of enchanting and xp balls
They are designed with a lot of softer rounder shapes compared to its counterparts and is based on a polar bear with angelic bird wings to give it a wise and pure vibe.
The eyes are sapphires, with a gemstone meaning of focus and inner vision. Tenos also is the one one to wear a gemstone accessory to give the allusion to a third eye.
Velara The Benevolent, sacrifice your health, sacrifice yourself to appease Velara, only then will you gain the riches
The idol is designed to look like oxidised copper. I wanted Valara to look like an old and ancient god from a forgotten religion, the kind where you find a forgotten statue in a forest overgrown with new life.
The like all the idols, it focuses on a theme relating to what you use to open the altars, so Valaras design is health or in this case life.
Velara has the fern and tall grass as its minecraft item.
Initially designed to be more rabbit like the design ended up becoming vague in animal and more bug like.
The eyes on Valara are emeralds that symbolise rebirth and growth.
Wendarr The Timekeeper, you only have limited time, will you sacrifice some of it to this god for riches?
Wendarr is a brass idol, a very common metal for clocks and timepieces to be made from.
Wendarr is designed to look the most like a villager with wings similar to that of DaVincis flying machine.
Unlike the other gods, Wendarr did not receive a minecraft item as I felt the minecraft clock did not fit the ancient and old aesthetic. Instead, they received an hourglass and an alluded clock face in the background, and some rococo inspired designs in the foreground.
The eyes are made of topaz, which apparently stands for manifesting clarity and astrology?
Anyway that's my thought process and some small details about each God and my designs.

How about this
Once apon a time in a land known only to the sages of the past there was a kind man. The man had fled from his home from a tirant king that wished death on him and his family.
The man had been blessed with a new start and used it to create a vast safe space, a Sanctuary for all those without a home.
His love and kindness attracted the attention of 3 local gods.
A god of the stories passed around by large and small, from the tiniest of bugs to the most powerful of rulers
A god of the sun, his radiance spanning from one corner of the earth to the other
And the goddess of harvest, her love spanning through every kernel of corn or pop of wheat, feeding everyone she has placed under her protection.
The gods appeared before the kind man one by one, each showering the man with gifts and promises, hoping that the man would pledge his loyalty them.
The God of stories creating a son in his image, if the man raised him with love and compassion the child would go on to do great things the God promised
The God of the sun promised him the power to destroy all those who would ever threaten the beautiful lands of the Sanctuary
And the last goddess of harvest promised to protect the land with bountiful harvest each year for the lost souls who stumble apon the land seeking a new start.
The man, without skipping a beat, pledged his loyalty to the goddess, promising to never stray from his goal of giving homes to those who are like he once was.
....
Then there was something with a bunny man who happens to be his dad and a bard and stuff but that's a story for another time.... Now tell us another story

Scar: The only sun god I know is BdoubleO!
Scott: WHAT?!?
Scar: Oh yeah we had this meetup with Empires and Bdubs came back a sun god.
Grian: I... uh...
Scott:... So then I shall recount a story as well! Since yours was so god heavy I am going to choose a story from: A collection of tales of Gods and Monster by Soliana Scarlet Terzed, first court writer of the fourth reign.
Grian: Do you remember all of that...by memory? Why?
Scott: When I was a child it was the book I used to learn how to read and write, I know every bit of it.
Scar: Cool!
Scott: So this is the story of the birth of Aeor himself so you might have heard of it?
Scar: Nope!
Grian: Yeah, no.
Scott: Ok, so, Aeor is the son of Clara, the goddess of space, his father is uncertain but what we do know is that Destiny despised his half brother to the point he declared that Clara would not birth any more children in the future.
Grian: Already sounds like a bit of an ass...
Scott: First Clara went to one of her grandaughters: The goddess of birth but even she could not go against Destinys law. And so she had an idea, she went to Wendarr, the god of time himself, with a request to allow her to give birth at a time before Destinys order. Wendarr tought and tought of the pros and cons until he came up with an offer, Clara would play a game of cards against him and if she won she would be able to give birth... The game lasted a long long time with Wendarr seeing Claras plays in the future and Clara omnipresence making her able of seeing Wendarrs cards. After days and days of playing however, Wendarr in part tired and in part convinced by her points purposely looses putting an end to the game and letting Clara win and finally give birth to Aeor and Exor. Destiny embarassed by his loss eventually agreed to go back on his edict and Clara had many more children.
