I just learned that white-spotted pufferfishes have this mating ritual in which they are creating geometric shapes and circles in sand and place there seashells to impress a female. And it's a tone of work and it's symmetrical.

And since i can make everything into a Star wars thing JUST IMAGINE...

Mermen Kylo doing this elaborative circles in the sand, spending weeks on placing shells and shiny stuff all around bc there is new mermen around and although he is not the best in symmetry and geometric shapes he desperately wants to meet this guy.

And mermen Hux from a different part of sea (first time here) have no clue what this strange guy with spikes is doing but it's actually quite pretty and charming, and he likes shells, so he watches him every day in hope that one day Kylo will eventually talk to him instead doing things with sand.

Let's be honest who would resist circles in sand....

really feeling the lack of people like me irl. most of my friends are cis girls or fem enbies who just. don't get it. the few trans guys i DO know have very supportive families (one of them has been on t for years). like. what am i supposed to do with this. what am i supposed to do with my incredibly queerphobic parents and inability to cut my hair even though it kills me to look in the mirror and forced dress-wearing that makes me feel like shit all day.

#today we went to a shopping complex area after our competition and i was following around one of the two friends i have in choir #i was already feeling very dysphoric and sick at this point #so of course she and her group (all extremely fem cis girls) decide to go to sephora #and bath and body works #and francescas #and i cant just go off on my own so i stand awkwardly in the corner scrolling through the transmasc dysphoria tag #and said friend comes up to me joking about how much i must hate these stores and tries to find blush that suits me or whatever the fuck #things like this are what make me say “i hate femininity” and then i have to do a mental course correction #“i hate people assuming im feminine” “i hate feminity for myself” “i hate being expected to be feminine”#“i hate being surrounded by feminine girls as a masc trans guy” except that one was kinda my fault #slight upside is that i saw them cooing over dresses or earrings or smth idk and felt so extremely removed from whatever they had going on #a real Trans Man Moment #well. anyway #pigeon coos

this was a big big post in my drafts for a while and it mentioned all of my beautiful friends and mutuals, but i got shy and less intoxicated. ill put some of them in tags.

other than obvious monkey see - monkey do, i think the most influential thing was getting the basics of academic art? i won't say i was good at it (i wasn't. though my oil painting was fine, to my knowledge) but it did help me a lot. and believe it or not, getting medicated also changed my process and end result a lot. something in antipsychotics is forcing you to use every texture in the world and abandon line art all together

#well. anyway #@ffc1cb - was a fan before i was a friend (which was more than 6 years ago and says something). their composition skills are unmatched #and their linework is so so good. colors too. love their work to bits #@hceinart - once again a fan before becoming a friend. saved her pieces to a secret folder to admire.#they have an insane sense of shape and color. so good #@al-norton - every piece they post makes me stare at it for a long time. composition and colors and shape and the way they paint. very good #@wiltkingart - painting skills of a madman. the way he captures bodies in his work explodes my brain #there's a whole lot more people whos work i admire and i can do this for ages. genuinely. i may be a hater but im also a lover #ask tag

okay JUST for you @toosday a continuation of the ‘how bad would their first time be, ranked’ based on some of the non-western ships I love (I won’t include any canon ships from danmei because their first sex scenes are literally described in detail in the books.)

kang yo han/kim ga on: there is so much catholic symbolism and bdsm going on here. gaon hearing ‘good boy’ during the act alone makes this a 15/10 experience

kurogane/fai: 12/10 world-transcendingly amazing even though fai cries during or afterwards because he doesn’t know how to accept love in a normal way

ash/eiji: if they HAD sex it would be 10/10 the first time even if either of them had Guilt about it afterwards (for different reasons; ash because he’s dragging eiji into his life, eiji because of ash’s past sexual abuse), but they never had sex because ash died. boner killer!

victor/yuuri: real ??????? on whether they had sex in canon yet actually. there are so many doujin that deal with this I won’t even try to chime in. 9/10 world-class athletes do it well

kotetsu/barnaby: well due to barnaby’s bad knee (derogatory) and kotetsu’s bad back (honorary) they don’t manage to be as athletic as they’d like about it but it’s still very sweet and overwhelmingly emotional for them both. 8/10 marks deducted for the dad jokes kotetsu made which ruined the mood

richard/seigi: they’re in the middle of having 7/10 pretty good sex and seigi says ‘you’re the most beautiful thing in this entire world’. richard has a complex about it and seigi only at this point wonders if he loves richard as more than a friend (novel readers don’t @ me this is an early canon based joke)

nezumi/shion: mutual handjobs at some point during canon in the west block are a solid no. 6/10 (ha, ha)

langa/reki: unfortunately I am SO sorry to tell you they have sex while skateboarding no I’m not kidding. despite grievous injury they enjoy it immensely and a 11/10 sexual skate gets downgraded to 5/10 only because of the bone fractures and hospital bill

lee dong sik/han joo won: this is SUCH an unbelievably bad time between joowon’s hangups over hygiene and daddy issues and guilt and dongsik’s hangups over literally everything else. 3/10 but they still come back for more because they’re far more compelling to each other than anyone else

shinji/kaworu: mind-meltingly overwhelming and existentially terrible for shinji and, much like eve, he dooms the human race while he’s at it. -100/10
