RTD made the most perfect partner possible for this doctor I cannot beliiiiieeeeve how gorgeous this was!!!!! The pining was so visible the entire episode, the matching backstories and understanding that comes with it, the understanding of loss, and that leading to that beautiful end scene with them, the doctor in a typical high crisis moment where he could lose another companion, but this time with this guy by his side who totally validates the heartbreak and impossibility to bear this responsibility and takes it from him because yeah, he knows what it's like.
