There’s more to weirdness than anime and paramore, two things that aren’t even considered weird at all, they’re both mainstream and popular.

And it offends me, as a black person who was born weird, and is constantly ostracized for it, that normies have hijacked the word for themselves to look cool when they will be those same damn people who turn around and laugh at someone for having green spiky hair, carrying a stuffed animal, or wearing diapers because they want to, or hissing like a cat because they want to, or collecting bones. Quit playing with me.

I’m also reminded of those two young black people who laughed at me, and took a photo of me without my permission because I wore an all pink vintage-looking outfit. Bet they claimed they wanted weird black friends. >_>

Weirdness is so fucking sanitized and commercialized and made palatable for society (looking at how normies praise Netflix’s Wednesday, but then turn around and make fun of neurodivergent people), and it pisses me off.
