I love this scene and the way it's blowing up the internet bc to me its PROVING the importance of NC scenes but also WHY THE FUCK THEY'RE THERE. The reason these scenes need to bee included is because they show things that you wouldn't see. The characters dressed head to toe in their vulnerability, in their desire, in their love for one another. This scene is the culmination of so much pent up love, heartache, hurt, longing, and it shows. It shows what's important, not what's explicit. It has dialogue, it has intimate shots. The purpose of GOOD and WELL PLANNED sex scenes IN ANY PIECE OF MEDIA NOT JUST BL is to tell something, to show us something. NC scenes are part of the plot, and the fact that its THIS ONE everyone is talking about shows it... or maybe I'm deep in my internet bubble and I don't notice what else is going on but my point stands.
