the whole point of his character was that he felt things which is why shogun didnt choose him to represent her ???? like ?? the shogun created him to be her vessel but when she saw that he cried she felt like he was too weak to carry the job of being her vessel so she chose to set him free yet people make scaramouche to be very unfeeling and stoic

i simply love scaramouche who has so many emotions bubbling within him to the point it can be overwhelming for him and he has trouble expressing it, but he loves you so so much and he wants to be able to openly tell you but just finds it hard, but you get that its hard for him and regardless of that you continue to love him

idk im just really picky i think and my god i love scara sm but ig interpret characters how you want, i just wanted to rant abt it quickly. hopefully this didnt come off as too bitter 💀

Curled up rn losing my mind bc my mortal nemesis Muscle Pain has returned. The back of my right knee hurts so badly I almost cried while driving home today. Walking hurts. Standing hurts. Straightening my leg hurts. And on top of that my wrists are acting up again 😔😭

regarding the 2023 kisses fic, though: i'm not ENTIRELY sure when i'm going to update it (i wanted to update it before the spa weekend, but unfortunately my writing brain just turned itself off and went on a fucking windows-laptop-restart or something. (it has still not finished restarting.) and i ALSO had a couple of unexpectedly hectic irl events happening this weekend, so.... just not at all conducive to writing, unfortunately.) with all that said, though: soon! i hope. i trust. i believe. i still have every intention of catching up the chapters for the races i've missed in the summer break - so maybe we can say a chapter for each week we don't have a race??? no promises, though. but i would love to be able to do that 🫶

my mom sees a woman in a pant suit with short hair and her brain cells stop rubbing together as she starts looping about how weird and confusing and wrong it is to anyone in the vicinity I have heard the same shit 3 days in a row cuz she saw someone on tv for 5 seconds and she keeps telling people about it on the phone

Really wish people didn’t take the information that Butch has been used as an identifier for two main groups historically (ballroom culture for gay men and lesbian working bar culture) and go “well I suppose that means anyone could be a butch if they really want to. Why, the whole world could be butch!!1! Just put on a suit and tie and youre there!”

Currently listening to the audiobook of “Murder Must Advertise” and I’m not very far in to it (so obviously don’t know how it will turn out) and even though it’s obviously part of the wider Peter Wimsey series, it has just struck me that a murder mystery but shot as a workplace mockumentary (like the Thick of It or the Office) would probably have gone down a storm in the noughties.
