I try not to talk about negative stuff on my tumblr but tw getting canceled today was really a bust but what was really upsetting was the absolute insensitive comments and post I’ve seen celebrating and being happy the the Winchesters got canceled.

If you don’t like tw then fine, but celebrating when people literally lost their jobs during a writers strike is so insensitive and shitty. And if you’re one of those ppl block and dni immediately. Ofc majority of the post I’ve seen were from none other than j*red stans, w*ncesties, misha and jensen antis, anti hellers, etc etc. Not surprised really but it doesn’t make it right to act this way. You may not like ppls favs but laughing about ppl getting fired isn’t okay.

I’m sorry to the wonderful cast, the writers, costume and makeup designers, and literally every other creative who may have had to witness any of the negative post today. TW is a great show and it really deserves a chance to grow and get its name out there.

So my betrothed has been Suffering with backlash from Wyvern and allergy testing. They’re having trouble working out and their chest is consistently tight even with nasal sprays and antihistamines so we’ve been looking to get a beefier air purifier for their room.

Today I went on a secret journey to go pick one up off OfferUp. It’s a city that has taiyaki which isn’t near us and so I’m also getting delicious treats while I’m in the area. I’m excited to have it set up and surprise them when they get home.

I think why Endhawks is so cathartic for me is that you have two people who have been through a bunch of trauma and made fucked up choices because of it and are both terrified that deep down that they aren’t worthy of love, that they’ll end up alone, that they are inherently bad.

And they are trying, trying so hard to change, to be good, to be lovable.

And they accept each other so easily. Like yes I see you. I see you trying so hard. You’re not hard to love at all. You are a good person at heart and that’s why you try so hard. I won’t flinch away at the hard, sharp edges of you because mine fit together with yours.

And it hits me right in my trauma core.

I just love them. Anyway…

It’s so weird to hear a good d20 motivational speech

Being an OW fan is so funny cuz like we’re just going about our business. Having fun with the game discussing characters getting hyped for future story content. Then every so often someone will come barging into the tag like “omg guys remember people ACTUALLY LIKED OVERWATCH” with 50 billion notes from randos you’ve never seen before and never will again. And nobody in the OW fandom engages. We just skip right over it and continue with our fanart and discussions lol

The most terrifying question a person with tummy troubles can get: what food can you eat?

All thoughts immediately leave my head. What? No food. Don’t do that. Me, my food? You’ve probably never heard of it. You don’t want me to answer that. I’m moving to Antarctica.

I’ve already attached this to a re-blog, but it feels like something that I want to post as a standalone as well. Sometimes I scream into the tumblr void about shit. Thanks to a gifted copy of The Body Keeps the Score I’m doing more DIY therapy work and processing some of my thoughts through the interwebs. So here’s a brain thing.

🎶Let’s talk about projection baby, let’s talk about you and me!!🎶 All joking aside, so many of us who deal with CPTSD use fictional works to process our trauma. We are outsourcing emotions and memories that we, for whatever reason, struggle to deal with unless there is some remove from the immediacy of them. We seek to find ourselves in characters, parallels in stories and situations for our own experiences. We live their struggles and triumphs as our own and so find catharsis within them. Aziraphale as a character is a particularly good example of this. He’s doing the thing so many of us who are trying to convince everyone else and ourselves that “we’re FINE, thank you!” do. He isn’t really processing his shit. He’s putting it on a third party to release some pressure before he completely loses it. And in so doing, us the audience, have gained a character that we both empathize and sympathize with, and in turn, use to work through much of our own trauma. I honestly think that’s why so many of us are waiting for S3 with bated breath. We need Az to figure it out. We need them both to heal. To defeat the odds. To find happiness. We’re all waiting for that because we need to believe that it’s something we can have too. If this Angel who foists 6 millennia of grief and rage and maddening questions about the “why” of everything off into an entire bookshop’s worth of stories and characters, if he can figure it out…surely we can too. Surely there is hope for us buried somewhere in the stacks. Surely there is some understanding that can be found, some catharsis or healing within the lines of these narratives. So we’re all holding our breath, our hope and our hearts, in our hands, waiting to finish the story, and in so doing, complete some part of ourselves. Finally framing those cracks where the light comes in, into something beautiful.

Fun horn facts!

Jack’s horns are modeled off the pronghorn. I chose it because 1) American, 2) I thought it was cute and 3) the shape of its horns is cool, but then it got infinitely better when I discovered the pronghorn is the fastest land mammal in the western hemisphere. A very appropriate coincidence :D

Nico’s horns are modeled off the alpine ibex, a species of wild goat that lives in the Swiss alps. Nico's are scaled down because I don't think he'd be able to hold up the weight of full-size ibex horns lol. The inspiration here is pretty obvious: hee hoo Swiss man gets Swiss goat horns

I know I talk so much trash on my stepsisters for having random canvases that say “𝓗𝓮𝓵𝓵𝓸 𝓰𝓸𝓻𝓰𝓮𝓼𝓽” on them, but to be fair, I have a painting hanging up in my living room of the long term nuclear waste warning message in cursive script hanging up in my living room.

they were over once and asked me “what does that canvas say?” and I told them “this place is a message, and part of a system of messages. pay attention to it!” and they cut me off to ask me what the hell I was talking about.
