my dad went to the library to get some books (his goal is to read more this new year) and he brought me back a lil announcement abt a 'bring your own craft' kinda event that happens every Friday from 10 to 12
on the one hand: possibly a cool way to make crafting friends, get out of the house, go to the library more often
on the other hand: the odds of me being conscious before 12pm most of the time is Extremely Low

trying hard lately to get good grades in socialising which, for once, is actually both normal to want and possible to achieve it seems
#ppl at my internship place are super lovely and i've had some very pleasant chats since i started last thursday#one even gave me her phone and discord and was like 'here#if you ever need to talk :)' and that was so sweet of her tbh!!!#the kids are rlly sweet too and they've talked a lot more with me today which was also nice. and yes i count that as socialising lol#and just now for once i got over my anxiety and offered to help some ppl out in the ffxiv fc i joined a lil while ago#we did some dungeons and a trial and it was super fun!!#idk. i will ride this high for as long as i can because who knows when the seasonal depression is gonna drag me back into a hole#where i don't wanna see or hear anyone#:')#anyways. i should go to bed lmao

life is really beginning to feel like Life again. it's nice :')
#)#moving to wellington has been SO good for me#and even tho i've been here four months already i still stop and feel wonder and gratitude at the fact that i'm HERE.#this time a year ago i was so desperately clinging to the idea of moving here and. i did it.#and i'm so glad i was able to recognise that this was the change i needed in my life :#i know i have said this a LOT over the last few months but it bears repeating every time#i spent so so long in purgatory last year feeling like i was living the same shitty day on repeat#that it began to feel like i would never claw my way out of it. that i would never know what it felt like to LIVE again bc id forgotten how#and slowly but surely i'm getting there!!!#tonight i visited a local girl guides unit that i'm hopefully gonna join as a leader#and literally the MINUTE i walked in the door my flatmates were like hey! we're going out! wanna come!#and so i joined them for a boogie at a local gig and it was so much fun! even tho i was sober and SO anxious the whole time :')#now i am sitting in bed eating hashbrowns and watching fullmetal alchemist and feeling so content with life :)#kiwi speaks#positive blogging#now THERE'S a tag i haven't used in a long time#lol

I'm in this weird state of being both over and under stimulated and it's wild. Like, I should be paying attention to my D&D session rn, and I partially am, but I am also out of it and need to fidget and claw my skin off at the same time.
