modern au laios would 100% be a zookeeper. i feel like they'd start him with mucking out the monkey pits but hes so good with kids that they eventually just let him do shows and demonstrations. actually where's the dungeon meshi we bought a zoo au
#dungeon meshi#laios touden#senshi runs the hot dog stand but theres a million menu items that arent hotdogs and they all take 30 minutes#marcille is a volunteer receptionist shes doing this for an essay for her university course and then falls in love with falin#falins a vet (she dropped out of med school to become a vet work at the zoo)#izutsumi well. shes a middle school kid who comes to visit the panther exhibit everyday because thats her#who when in high school despite her best efforts and how lame she thinks the crew is (teenager) starts working the summers there#chilchuck is the guy who used to take his kids there and then got in an argument with marcille about ticket pricing and profits so#he started doing their finances because he solemnly believes the zoo would go under the original financial management (not wrong)

Fan theory: Narinder wasn’t the one who asked Forneus to give up Aym and Baal.
It’s been established that at the start of the game, Narinder is imprisoned and unable to interact with the physical world…unless, of course, that person is dead. The Lamb has to die in order to be offered their deal, and presumably Ratau has also died and been resurrected at least once.
Forneus is very clearly not dead. When she talks about her children, she says this: “And yet one lackadaisy summer day, my beautiful children were taken away… a gift, they said, for the one they loved most, the one that waits… I wept, I keened… But how can one say no to a God?”
Someone physically came and took her children; meaning it wasn’t Narinder, as he can’t physically enter the word anymore. They were taken as a gift. By who?
Ratau is a fair assumption. He served as the vessel before the Lamb. But given he fell out favor for being unable to perform a sacrifice, it seems out of character for him to be able to separate two children from their mother and then sacrifice them.
“A gift, they said, for the one they loved most.”
Shamura is referred to with they/them pronouns. And they say this about Narinder: “He was gluttonous in his ambition. And in my imprudence I loved him.”
The god Forneus speaks of is Shamura.
Shamura loved Narinder the most of all their siblings. After a thousand years, in a moment of clarity, they tried to ease his solitude by sending him companions.
Who he not only kept, but held in a place of honor beside him.

school administrators assigning 150 enl students of all levels to one teacher and two teacher assistants sounds crazy, as that makes it impossible to help all the students properly, and in turn they perform poorly, and it’s a terribly exhausting job for one teacher. thank god things like these don’t happen… oh wait
#when i tell you our school system is fucked i am not kidding#they want teachers so desperately but they don’t make an effort to improve things for students and teachers#not to mention how there’s demand but they don’t actually give opportunities to some of us who would readily accept it#oh but if i’m not damn stubborn#i’m volunteering to help out in one of our school’s enl classroom#seriously looking at the state of our education system breaks my heart#students deserve better#teachers deserve better#the board of education needs change and fuck if i’m not gonna try to get there and try my damnest to help#logan.txt
