Howdy ho Tumblr! Me again!! Happy to report that I have yet again chosen to spend my adult money on very adult things again. Like dolls! This time around, I got another one of my grails...
Voltageous Frankie Stein! I got her for a pretty decent price, just under 105 with shipping and tax included. I'm so happy with her, she's so pretty!!
In other news, for those of you wondering, which you probably weren't, I have officially begun work on a new Monster High fanfic! I've made a promise to myself that this one will NOT sit in the wip pile for longer than a week or two, so expect it to be out soon (ish). It's not in my g3!Jax/Holt series, but it does center mostly around them in an undetermined AU. It's a super self indulgent fic that I've been wanting to get on paper for a while, and I'm about 2k words in so far. I'll rb this post with the link when it's done, but for now, keep your eyes peeled!
im wondering if the reason why mattel barely has any safeguards against scalpers for their website is just because... it looks good when the doll sells out in under 5 minutes. practically every skullector doll release has been an absolute trash fire when it comes to scalpers, but mattel still hasn't done ANYTHING about it. i obviously don't know how fast the dolls would sell out if there weren't scalpers buying hundreds up at once, but mattels lack of action towards stopping them kinda makes it seem like they don't have faith the dolls will sell out quickly if it's left up to normal collectors to buy them lol.
honestly at this point, mattel probably wants the dolls to become extremely expensive on the 2ndhand market, because it gives them an excuse to hike the prices up themselves ("you can buy it for $75 from us, or for $250 secondhand. your call") and it's just so blatantly scummy lol
