(BTW none of this is in an argumentive tone it’s all casual!!)

OKAY so I mentioned this in a separate reblog but I was wrong abt Frankie!! A lot of things in g1 get randomly changed for episode or movie lore sake, including the mention of who created Frankie (like in her introduction she says “daughter of Frankenstein” and in freaky fusion she calls Frankenstein her grandfather and only really mentioned her dad) SO I was just remembering the whole .. intro thing lol

And about the g3 not mentioning certain parents THIS IS TRUE! I totally think that Toralei’s mom is divorced bc who would wanna stay married to that, plus Toralei has been staying with the wolfs rather than another parent so I think it’s safe to say he’s not in the picture. Same for Abbey, though there were no alternative parenting types really mentioned in g1 (although I hope to see at least a LITTLE bit of Bloodgood caring for abbey in g3!), I’m unsure of anything to do with the rest of her family. And I could be misremembering for Lagoona but I thought she talked about both parents in the chomps episode, which looking back, it was a family fight which could be said they don’t have a good relationship (which I know one fight doesn’t exactly mean they ARE separated but. Eh)

Also that image is really cute I’m obsessed with it

ALSO also I will confess I’ve never really read the diaries all the way through (I struggle with reading/comprehension) so a lot of it is based on animated stuff, and for the wolfs I might also be remembering more of g2 where we saw her mom but not really her dad!!!

But!!! All of this aside the main point is that almost all students (especially those with parents in the monster pta) are shown to have two healthy parents which, yes, two healthy parents is realistic!, but a lot of g1 had otherwise! And it was nice for kids to see what they had in a casual light

Why did they give all the main characters both biological parents (minus Deuce as I’m not sure whether Lyra has any bio relation)???

Most of the main characters in g1 had either one living parent or divorced parents or adopted and to be honest that was good rep (as minor as it was, as most rep was actually in the diaries) the p much the only big showing of divorced parents even AROUND that time was Phineas and Ferb (hehe mentioning my two big special interests)

Draculaura was adopted after her mom died, Lagoona/Clawdeen/Cleo only showed one parent, Frankie was created by one man, and YES I know that g3 wants to avoid talking about death but you can have different types of families without saying a parent is dead!! All we really have is everyone with a mom and a dad, then deuce with two moms, and spectra with her ghoulma. And to be honest!! It’s fine!! Not everything HAS to be represented everywhere!! And I know that g3 is an alternate universe!! But it’s still a bit disappointing that pretty much everyone has two parents now

So, I am Palestinian, and there isn't really... Arab rep in total drama. Zoey is someone I relate to a lot, and ever since the publication of the genocide, I decided to project my identity onto Zoey in art and headcanons. Since it's the start of the strike, I decided the only total drama content I'd be posting this whole week is this image.

Also I like giving her the last name Wahid, which roughly translates to "lonely" LMFAOOO and the flag is kinda her color pallet???

So the Mean Girls musical movie clearly has a lot of problems, and I see the phrase “queerbaiting” get misused a lot, but… did the movie. Do that? Like, one of the selling points was “REGINA GEORGE IS GAY” but… she wasn’t. No one really said the line “can a gay girl get an amen” was for the credits song sung by Renee as herself, NOT as Regina… throughout the movie, Regina is still hooking up with guys. And yeah she could be bisexual, but the only thing that “showed” that was how she looked at one girl (if I remember correctly) and by kissing Janice in middle school to make fun of her and be homophobic.
