My masking making group, "Gondor Calls for Aid" has made well over 400 masks and has donated them to various hospitals, hospices, vet offices, and convalescent homes throughout Southern California and Florida. This is being passed around (anonymously, as far as I can tell) my local Coronavirus Community Care group. It encourages those of us who will not be vulnerable to the virus or at least the worst of it, to help those who have to self isolate or self quarantine for fear of getting or spreading the virus. It also encourages combating the fear and selfishness that is helping fuel the destructiveness of this outbreak.

Whether you feel comfortable with this form, or some other way of offering kindness, compassion and assistance, I would encourage my fellow young and able people to reach out in these trying times and try and help the vulnerable amongst us make it through this.
