I sent Vinny a few glances as I worked with Chris. The band had hired me to do makeup for their new video and I was beyond excited. I had worked with them before and really liked the atmosphere they provided as a team. I focused on blending his eyeshadow out based on the few pictures I had from their older stuff. I wanted to do a new take on something they had done before.

"Other than black what colors were you thinking?"

He crossed his arms over his chest as I continued swiping the black shadow across his eyelids. I looked down at my palette.

"I'm thinking maybe red. I noticed you don't really do that much. Kinda wanna get away from the purples and things, break you out of your box."

I winked at him as he smiled at me.

"We getting that color palette for every body?"

I nodded, humming an 'mhm' to him.

"What color palette?"

Vinny asked, walking over to us. I looked up and smiled at him as I changed brushes.

"I decided to do red instead of purple. You guys tend to do a lot of purple and the video concept I think, personally, has less of a cooler undertone and more of a heavier, darker... hotter one."

He raised a brow as I started blending red shadow into Chris's crease.

"Hotter?"

I laughed a little bit and Chris smiled.

"Yeah hotter."

I glanced over at him quickly.

"Okay, I guess."

I finished blending and put the brush down, moving to liner.

"eyes open please."

Chris did as told, looking up so I could line his water line.

"You doing the rest of us?"

Vinny asked as I worked.

"Do you want me to? I mean Rick and Ryan don't really do makeup makeup, mostly paint. And Justin kinda has his thing down pat, also red this time though, we talked earlier."

I glanced over at him as I put the pencil down and grabbed another brush to blend the liner out. He shrugged.

"I've only ever done straight purple on my lids and a little black here and there. Do you think you could do something simple on me?"

I nodded as I started on Chris's lipstick.

"Of course I can, if you want me to."

"I'd love that."

I checked Chris's face and did last minute touch ups.

"Alright, all ready."

He looked up at me and smirked.

"Thanks y/n."

I handed him the mirror and he checked my work.

"Beautiful as always."

I blushed a little as he looked up and handed me the mirror back.

"Thanks. I'll be to the side of the set if you need touch ups or anything during filming."

He nodded and stood up, giving me a loose hug.

"Thanks again."

I waved to him as he walked away to finish getting ready. I looked at vin.

"My turn?"

I smiled and nodded at him.

"So, we doing red too or just black?"

He sent we a nervous smile and nodded.

"If that's what you think would be best."

"I think I have an idea. Little bit of red centered on the lid and on your under eyes and blend out with a charcoal gray color."

He shrugged.

"Okay."

I nodded and went to work, telling him to close his eyes.

"So,"

He said, gripping the arm rests of the chair lightly.

"How have you been?"

I laughed a little as I worked.

"I've been good vin, and you?"

He raised his brows quickly before dropping them again.

"Same old same old. Pretty good too."

I hummed in response and kept working.

"How's your boyfriend? What was his name? Jack?"

I pursed my lips as I swiped color across his lid.

"Uh actually we broke up."

His eyes snapped open as I moved back.

"I'm so sorry to hear that."

I shrugged and dipped the brush back into the color.

"It's not that big of a deal."

I moved back to his face and he closed his eyes again.

"We actually broke up right after the last video I worked on with you guys. It seems so long ago but then again I guess I haven't talked to you guys in a while except for like social media and stuff."

He frowned a little bit.

"I guess it really has been a while. Wasn't the last video you worked on with us made like a year ago?"

I laughed a little bit as I blended the shadows together.

"Yeah vin, it was."

I set my brush down and he looked up at me.

"Have you started dating someone new?"

I let out a nervous Laugh and scratched the back of my head.

"Uh, no, actually. I've been pretty busy working and haven't really had time to date. My schedule is a little less hectic now though and I wouldn't necessarily be opposed to it but who knows."

I shrugged and he smiled at me.

"Well what do you say to Friday at one? We could grab lunch from that little Italian sandwich shop and then head to the zoo or something."

I blushed at his words. I had no idea he'd even thought of me like that.

"I didn't think you were into me,"

I laughed a little.

"I think I'd actually love that a lot."

He smiled widely at me.

"Great, I can pick you up. And if I'm being honest it took me some time but the more we talked i realized how into you I really was. I've been meaning to ask you out but never got the chance."

I tucked my hair behind my ear and nodded.

"Understandable, our schedules aren't exactly puzzle pieces."

He laughed a little and sent me a look.

"Puzzle pieces?"

I nodded.

"They don't fit together. Or at least, they didn't, but I make my own schedule now so I could make it work however we need."

He stood up and smiled down at me.

"Well I'm glad, cause I'd love to take you on as many dates as I can."

I blushed deeper and looked down for a second, bringing my gaze back to his. He had a goofy grin on his face.

"Can't wait."
