LOVE LIKE BLOOD

SPRING 2023...OR SOONER WITH YOUR HELP

well this is what ive been working on for the past almost 5 years- my first graphic novel. Love Like Blood is set in 1986 los angeles, and follows Nikolai Volkov, an eccentric, fashion designing vampire, and Vincent Rivera, a young rebellious type hired by Nikolai to model. the two navigate through the challenges and stigma caused by the then-ongoing AIDS crisis in the united states, and both learn about each other and themselves along the way.

this is still currently a work in progress, however as i get closer to completion, a kickstarter will be made to deal with the financial aspect of self-publishing. if you are interested please share with your friends and foes. cheers this has been a looong time coming and i am so happy that i can now push it onto other people

behold! the Filipino-fication of og characters Vincent and Scott! tbh this is a rushed product from a small manic episode at 1am, and I’m starting to cook with this new design.

honestly, a lot needs to be ironed out about the whole Nadiverse lore, including these two. Most of all Vincent, since he was once thought of as William. In my AU, (as of 2024), William and Vincent are not the same anymore. ties.

as for Scott, he is pure filo, migrated to the US with plans to bring his family with him. but when his high paying job’s main ship sunk, he lost all funds to be able to come back home. hence, ending up at Freddy’s. ( a small nod to the difficulties of Overseas Filipino Workers )

So... as to not get bored of BG3, I installed CP2077 again. And came to the conclusion that I wanted to start from scratch again, and thus deleted all my save files.

Even though Silver will always be close to my heart, I felt it was time for her to move on. And as such, I made new characters whom I hope I will fall as much in love with as the old ones.

question ! what would be the RO's plus the other characters (like alex, lucas, callie and etc) to a super self destructive MC who had no regards to their well being. like my guy will literally get shot multiple times and have a broken arm but will shrug it off as 'tis but a scratch XD

Not sure if I’ve answered a similar ask before but oh well. Anyway, I probably won’t do this for all asks I get, but I’m in a right kind of mood right now, so you’ll get the answers for some of the non-ROs too :)

Alonzo: “No, that is not a scratch.” Look, they may hate you but they still need you alive, so seeing this happen is incredibly frustrating for them. Would probably end up tearing their own hair out with all the stress.

Wesley: would just give you a nasty side-eye. Unlike all the other ROs, this is not new to them, though an argument may still arise depending on the gravity of the situation.

Owen: “I can see that it’s a very small scratch.” Owen can basically have either of two differing moods while saying this. He can say it while tending to the MC’s injuries, keeping his concerns to himself if the latter has kept trying to ignore his concerns, with some carefully placed questions in between small talks. Or he might say that with a poorly hidden sarcasm while ignoring the MC for the rest of the day (unless the wound actually warrants a huge emergency).

He’s kind, not saintly.

Jade: Mostly staring at the wound and at the MC before she drawls “You’re a fool” with such weight you’d almost think she’s not just as reckless. All I’m saying is, she’s not really in any position to say that but she still will.

Alex: MC gets the big brother talk nobody wants. Spoilers: Alex is not that good at it, and the conversation would probably turn into a massive mind game.

Lucas: “Sure, whatever.” He simply doesn’t care, though it is bizarre to him.

Callie: “As long as you’re alive, I suppose.” Not too comfortable with how the MC is shrugging it all off since she’d met a lot of people who were initially just as reckless and they’re all dead :))

Richard: Always thinks about whether to give the MC a lecture on why they should not take things so lightly or just. to heave a sigh and give up. He often opts for the latter.

Vincent: No, you don’t want to know what will happen.

Can someone tell you what to do? You have been carrying so much love within you for so long it is starting to turn into anger (why does it matter, all you see is red anyways) and you have been dragging this body through each day and every night you are split open on your bed and it is so so so lonely. If someone were to walk in while you were on your bed that way and they stitched you back in a new way, lining the seams with their love and kisses, you’d probably find this dreary world a little more bearable. You want someone to turn you over and over until you look in the mirror and see yourself looking back at yourself with a gentleness which has been lacking in you since forever.

meet valerie waters! valerie and indi have been friend’s since kindergarten. they did everything together, inevitably becoming best friends. valerie comforted indi through her later teen years, and she encouraged indi to take up yoga and writing in a journal.

meet vincent mesa! vincent moved from selvadorada to oasis springs in first grade. the moment he saw indi his stomach was filled with fluttering butterflies. throughout the rest of elementary school, vincent continuously tried to impress indi. although indi would tease him, they became very good friends.

meet mateo rivera! indi, valerie, and vincent met mateo in their first year of high school. mateo, valerie, and vincent got along well, but there was this tenseness between mateo and indi. this tense relationship stayed the same throughout high school, but now mateo wants to make up for the lost time of this friendship.
