Just want Rayyan and Davy to date tbh—
Bouncyyy omg this thought has been stuck in my brain for the past 24 hours - along w your question about what would happen if Davy came onto Rayyan. Here's a short response to that (Ha, I thought it would be short, it was not).
They are both intensely ambitious and out to be the very best at what they do, so on one level they really understand each other on that front (but I suspect given their work schedules they really might not see much of each other). I wonder if Davy might start out flirting for the sake of it, confusing the shit out of Rayyan, who actually might be the first to actually develop feelings-- though I think they might... be fwb for a while.
Davy: you seem... tense today and I can do something about that
Rayyan: you mean a massage?
Davy: *smirks* Among other things, yes...
But I think Davy would probably be the first to voice their more-than-fwb feelings for Rayyan. I think the main angst/struggle for both of them would be being willing to invest enough of their time and energy/soul into making a beyond-fwb rship work, but heck, no matter what they pursue, we all know the sex would be🔥🔥
Though ya know, after a recent replay of Citadel, I've also been thinking: JEAN IS SO DAMN CUTE. Rayyan and JEAN??? I'd be on board with that. Unbridled sunshine energy meets... grumpy hothead? Ahhh. Chef's kiss. Davy and Tobin give me huge best friend vibes. And uh, I dont know why but G with Vic feels kinda hot to me, something about the push and pull of flirty fun "here for a good time not a long time" energy with "I don't have time for this/for you" vibes BUT with an edge of... I think G would be smart/interesting enough to push back and challenge Vic in some ways, and Vic's "hard to crack exterior" would be absolute krptonite for G who loves the... chase, shall we say.
Okay that was way too long and sat in my inbox for also way too long, hope you'll indulge me in my madwoman ravings and also I am so excited for part two of the lovers??

Christian and Dr. Grey:
Tapping his finger against his desk, Christian could feel the way his nerves were starting to get to him. Of course, he knew that Peter would never do such a thing to him. They may have disconnects at times when it came to communicating properly, but he believes wholeheartedly that they were good friends. That Peter was actually one of his closest friends he had in his life.
The dial tone was finally interrupted by the smooth tone of Doctor Grey.
“Christian?”
The sound of his friends voice causes him to sag. All of his earlier indignation leaving him. “Peter.”
Such a simple statement, laden with years and years of pent up emotion, clearly causes a concerned reaction out of the older man. “Is everything all right?”
For a moment, Christian thinks about asking Peter for an explanation but he also knows his friend well enough to know that he would keep something like this from him. Not when it came to her…
Settling back, an actual smile pulls at Christian’s lips as a soft chuckle falls from them. “I’ve never been better, Peter. How’s Citadel treating you?”
Alcina and Dr. Sloan:
“It’s been too long, darling.”
The statement is followed my a warm smile as Alcina placed a light kiss on the shorter woman’s cheek. Sparkling emerald eyes meeting faintly amused hazel.
Ivy Sloan situates herself in the chair opposite the First Lady as she folds her hands neatly in her lap. The deep red of the dress she decided to wear complementing her fair complexion and auburn hair. Her keen eyes assessing Alcina just as Alcina was doing so to her.
“It has been, Ali,” Ivy begins almost testing the words on her lips. Her brow arching in a silent question that neither were willing to voice. Even though they both knew the root of it. “I’m quite curious as to what prompted this sudden visit.”
Alcina fakes a gasp of outrage. Settling back in her chair with a hand to her chest. “Are you not happy to see me, Ivy?”
“Happy isn’t quite the right word, Alcina.” Hazel eyes turn sharper as her concern for her friend grows. “Now why don’t you actually tell me what’s wrong? Even though I have an inclination on what it may be.”
Shaking her head, a slight smile quirks Alcina’s lips before she stifles it. “Are you dating, Anon?”
An incredulous look is all Alcina gets for a moment before a light laugh erupts from Ivy’s lips. “No, Alcina, I’m not.”
Nodding, Alcina tugs at the corner of her napkin for a moment.
“So how about brunch?”
The Sunshine Squad:
Stevie Wonder- Jean are you dating, Anon?
Sunshine Kid- What!? Of course not, Stephen.
Stevie Wonder- …
Sunshine Kid- …
Stevie Wonder- Are you sure?
Sunshine Kid- I’m pretty positive I’m not dating anyone at the moment, Stevie.
Stevie Wonder- Okay, I believe you. I just wanted to ask because I heard it through the grapevine.
Sunshine Kid- Well, thank you, for asking.
The Dancing Clown- I’m in here too, guys. Why didn’t you ask me?
Stevie Wonder- Because you’re too busy pining over your own best friend to go after mine.

Three sets of eyes stare at one another from various points in the room. No hostility being passed between looks as gazes shift from one to the other.
Finally, gray eyes narrow as Quinn straightens out. “It was foolish to think either of you would go after, Anon, without consulting me first.”
Glancing back down, their eyes furrow in thought before a small smirk quirks their lips.
Looking back up, they can see the makings of hostility beginning to grow within their opponents gazes.
“Uno.”

A/PI Heritage Month Featured Author
Play as a first-year surgery intern at Citadel Health. Will you become the star intern and curry the favor of the chief? Or will you uncover Citadel Health’s secrets and break a story or two? This will be the best and worst year of your life. Don’t forget to save lives and break some hearts along the way.

Q1: First of all, introduce us to your project! What is it about?
Citadel is a Choicescript WIP where the reader can play as a surgical intern at Citadel Health! Thanks to Citadel Health’s NINO technique, once incurable diseases are now completely manageable. However, like any good medical drama, there’s secrets and scandal abound…
Also, like any good medical drama, the reader can romance 6 ROs, including: 1) Eli Sanford, the best friend who’s not-so-secretly in love with you 2) Davy Jackson, the “oh-no-they’re-hot” surgery intern 3) Jean Liu, the medicine intern who radiates sunshine 4) Victor/Victoria Uytterhoeven, the chief surgery resident who’s soft only for you 5) Dr. Peter Grey, your very own McDreamy and 6) Dr. Ivy Sloan, your very own Dr. House.
Q2: If it’s not too spoilery, what are you most excited about your project?
There’s a party sequence in Case 2 that I’m particularly excited to code! You’ll be able to mingle with the intern/resident ROs as well as hang out with other members of the cast. I’m also particularly excited to code Case 3, where it gets…um, for lack of better words, particularly real.
Q3: What inspired the current project you’re working on?
As a medical student, I’ve always wanted to see a medical choice game. I just didn’t feel like I had enough medical experience to code one until I finished a year of rotations in the hospital!
Q4: Do you pull from your own identity for inspiration? How has that been reflected in your work?
I think a lot of what happens in Citadel is pulled from my own experiences in medicine. This isn’t just the “action” sequences like the surgery scenes, but also the little choices, too (for example, what the best snack to buy from the vending machine is). I really want Citadel to showcase both the drama and the mundanity of medicine!
Q5: What’s been your experience so far? With writing, with the if community...
Writing has been a lot of fun! One thing I like about choice games is just how many ways a scene can change based on your choices. For example, I’m a huge fan of making interpersonal dynamics really matter: i.e., whether you choose to be a rival to your fellow intern or choose to be their friend can have meaningful consequences later that might even affect your own performance.
The IF community has also been super great to be a part of! I’m a little shy online, so I’m glad I’ve found a community that’s so supportive. Shoutout to the people on the Citadel Discord, especially!
Q6: Do you have any future projects in the works?
As of right now, I’m focused on Citadel (my goal is to get it finished before I start residency in a year). I’ve also had an IF project floating in my mind based on my quarantine experience with my partner and his two roommates, but that’s more wishful thinking right now!
Q7: Finally, what piece of advice would you give to fellow authors?
I think at the end of the day, it’s really important to write for yourself and not for others. As long as you enjoy what you’re putting on the page, that’s what really matters!

"Suburban Legends" - A Short Snippet
For @chidichi, who won one of the 3,000 follower short snippets!
Based on the prompt, "A romantic moment with Victor."
You never expected to run into Vic's ex-fiancée at a Trader Joe's, but - shit happens.
One moment, you're teasing Vic in the pasta aisle - the next, you hear someone call out his name. No, that's not entirely right. Not just his name - Victor. His nickname - Vic, full of surprise and (you're sure of this) tenderness.
The two of you turn at the same time and, to be honest, you don't even see her at first. Instead, you see the fat, happy baby strapped to her chest - all flushed cheeks and big eyes - and your first shameful instinct is that this is Vic's secret love child. You know, of course, how wrong that is; you also know, of course, that Vic and her (her, who you've stalked on Instagram - an act that you instantly admitted an hour later) have long been over and that this baby, this family has nothing to do with Vic at all, yet...You don't need to complete a residency in psychiatry to know that you - people - anyone - are, at even the best of times, irrational.
"Claire," Vic says, and you can almost see the gears in both their heads turning - the best way to approach a hug with a baby in between. They settle for a quick side squeeze, and then Claire turns to you, her smile tired but warm.
"You must be MC." She lets out a self-conscious laugh. "Our parents - they go to church together. Vic's mom is really excited about you."
You feel your face heat up, and Claire quickly adds, "Not that they gossip about you. I just meant - well - only good things. You know."
"That's a relief," you offer, and Claire gives you a grateful look - her face pink.
"I should - " She shifts the baby against her chest. "It was nice meeting you. And - " Her eyes flick over to Vic. " - seeing you again."
"Take care," Vic murmurs, and you gaze up at him, find that his face is bright red.

After Claire leaves, Vic lets out a breath, runs his fingers through his hair.
"I just want to say - " he starts, shakes his head, starts again. "I know I'm - blushing. And, it's not because of her or you, my face just gets like this sometimes - "
"I know," you say. "It's okay."
"Just - I don't want you to think - my mom - "
You step closer and press your hands against Vic's cheeks, unable to help a laugh at the startled noise that escapes his mouth. His skin is hot in your hands, and you brush your thumbs gently against his face.
"I know," you say. "It's okay. I promise. We're good."
"Yeah?" You feel Vic relax against you, and you press a soft kiss to the corner of his mouth.
"Yeah." And then, because you absolutely can't help yourself, you grin. "Confession...I did think, for - like - a split second, that she was holding your secret love child."
Vic laughs, that full, rush of a laugh that never fails to warm you. "My secret love child? What is this - Grey's Anatomy?"
"I was thinking more soapy. Days of Our Lives. The Young and The Restless."
"You've never watched any of those shows."
"The gist, then - " You yelp as Vic suddenly pulls you against him, his body solid and stable against yours.
"I really, really love you," he says in a lower voice, and you look up at him - trace the details of his face again, memorize the colors in his eyes.
"I really, really love you too," you say, and he kisses you - right in the pasta aisle of Trader Joe's.

Can you tell me what the Pros and Cons of the Ros?
I'm stuck between Jean, Vic, and Dr. Grey😭
Good question! It's so hard to choose 😔
Pros for Jean: The sweetest. Will fiercely advocate for their patients (and for you). You literally get to go on a date with them to McDonald's in Case Two.
Cons for Jean: None. But, for real, it will be very hard for you to continue their romance if you're not on (spoiler)'s side.
Pros for Vic: Muscly. Tall. A great mentor. A great cook.
Cons for Vic: It is heavily alluded in multiple posts on this Tumblr that something bad involving Vic will happen in Case Three.
Pros for Dr. Grey: He's Dr. Grey.
Cons for Dr. Grey: His ex-wife is Erika...who is extremely intimidating. He has a kid (if kids aren't your thing). You never know what he's really thinking.

Hi, Dr. Bouncy. I was wondering completely out of the blue...
What do the insides of the Citadel character's fridges look like?
Good question 👀
Eli: Haphazard. A lot of grocery store ready-to-eat meals, Citadel cafeteria food, and free food from events.
Davy: Their meal preps in neatly stacked Tupperware containers and bottles of seltzer would take up most of the fridge space.
Jean: Jean would be the type of person that would have a lot of fresh vegetables in their fridge but also have sauce jars that have been sitting there for an undetermined amount of time.
Vic: Depends on when you catch them. If they're stressed, it'd be pretty barren. If they're not, it'd be well-stocked.
Dr. Grey: Just the essentials.
Dr. Sloan: The fridge of someone who cooks well and eats well.
