20s vs 30s

#river dipping #matthias evanoff #theodore doe #echthroi #ts4 #ts4 edit #the older they get the more i need to [redacted] them...#matthias is already 26 so. not much changing going on in his face. his hair just starts receding a bit before he gets it under control #but theo’s in his early 20s so his cheeks definitely lose some baby fat in his late 30s #MIND YOU! matthias is really vain. so. he has a skincare routine and he's very serious abt it along w/ regular dermatologist visits #and injections/surgeries probably... so he is someone who will age very gracefully thanks to money lmao...#theo on the other hand is just blessed with beautiful skin <3 well that plus he rlly doesn't emote often... not many lines on his face #until he's in his mid-forties probably. but like fr... theo isn’t someone who puts a lot of work into his appearance like matthias does #and he uses and smokes like. his skin looking so good is just the result of a genetic lottery #i do think he quits both by the time he’s 30 #but while he doesn’t go back to cigarettes… hm. he probably continues to relapse w/ drugs every few years #not with anything hard—he’s off the stuff for good i think past 28-ish #i think when he relapses he’s usually safe with matthias who helps him by focusing on harm reduction so. lighter ones.#…just got a bit emotional thinking about that but anyway #kisses for theo 🫂#i was going to post this last night before bed but decided that i wanted to actually edit them first so! here take this <3 #i've gotta get ready to go get my novavax shot in a few hours but then i'm going to start editing again #seriously rlly enjoying my editing process rn... like it makes me so happy!! to finally really like the way i edit and how things look #but yeah........................ mattodore are so sexy as they age god.#i gotta redo that old family lineage post i made now that mattodore look different... and i need to redo their parents for sure #…anyway cross your fingers for me 🧎 i’m hoping my side effects aren’t too bad this time around

Ya know, I never actually considered Tim burned down the hospital more recently in the timeline of events until yesterday

I always just assumed he fucking torched that hellhole as a kid while he was staying at the psych ward and, ya know, that's why it closed, or it was at least the last straw of the business or something. But thinking about it now and how strict mental hospitals can be with stuff like that, it's unlikely

VERY RANDOM THOUGHT but

To go on about your post about Lleu and how pretty he is, I can't help but notice how black is usually always associated with masculinity and stuff(If you look closer a lot of anime couples the guy usually has darker skin even if it's only by a little)

And Lleu is always emphasized as having dark hair and dark eyes yet Medraut solely calls him beautiful(or some variation)

Just things I think about as I make oc's

another thought I have is that Medraut is kind of female-coded (I don't know how else to phrase it) in the sense that he is a healer, and his weapon of choice is poison. Poison was often associated with women as the "weaker" sex whose domain was the kitchen, the garden and the medicine chest. Not only does he fullfill the role of a nurse/caretaker towards Lleu but he also functions as a sort of parental figure/educationer (child raising).

#usually the older character is the more masculine one but Medraut is defying gender roles here #they are both defying gender roles #at least Lleu in the first part of the book: he is fragile/sickly/pretty/vain/fearful/naive/weak #these are all traits traditionally given to women #and even when he does start beating people in sparrings it's never because he's muscular but because he's acrobatic & fast #answered asks

I am not going crazy. Having excess beta brainwaves IS correlated to ADHD symptoms (in children and adolescents), specifically metacognition issues, inattention, and irritability:

#This is one study; but it’s interesting that usually the stereotype is having high theta; but that hasn’t really been proven #because correlation ≠ causation #which doesn’t mean much for the beta thing either but STILL #They were looking mainly for high theta and found a lot of diagnosed ADHD kids with high beta and no ODD #I want my brain readings. I want my brain readings n o w #Two more days. I bet they’re gonna say I don’t have ADHD because of the high beta #I bet they’re gonna say I just have anxiety #Again EEG isn’t alone a proven method to diagnose ADHD but I took a written diagnostic too #so maybe this is just to determine what medications will work???? idk I definitely passed the personal history test lmfaoo #But I have a bad feeling I’m gonna get shrugged off #because when they were asking me questions I felt like they were cutting my answers short a little #but that could be because I was infodumping #But yeah my beta power with eyes open is 5.70 and the normal range (if I’m reading it correctly) is 3.65–0 #Beta is supposed to be related to focus so maybe it’s possible that some ADHD people are TOO focused on too many things at once #which leads to focus issues VS some have “sleepy brains” with high theta which can’t focus on anything???#idk #ehehehehe feed me scientific studies and numbers #yummy #Yeah it’s not that my brain “runs slowly and is spaced-out” it’s that I can’t get it to stop accelerating and latching onto everything #and in order to do one thing I have to rip the suction-cupped tentacles of my brain off five different things before I can focus #which LEADS to anxiety because I can’t always peel myself away from everything else so I’m just stuck there #like a statue #trying in vain to break out from the inside #hence the anxiety

so i just clawed my way out of a depressive episode by forcing a hypomanic one and inadvertantly triggered my OCD by fussing with my hairline so much i've actually rubbed part of my hair out of my head? and now it's a constant cycle of is it malnutrition is he finally going bald is it aging is it from compulsively tugging on his hair is it -

i claim to avoid relationships with other bc it makes me lose myself too much the performing the anxietying over like what they think how to act etc the unconscious adapting all their interests etc etc n it is true n yes isolating helps me do tht less but also i actually still very much 'perform' and make certain decisions to hmm 'appeal' to the real 'audience' i imagine judging me if tht makes sense so like yh no i'm still living unauthentically in some areas n i wld like to stop

I generally feel pretty icky commenting on anyone's appearance except in a positive light, but I will say that I don't disagree about season 6. When it got even shorter in season 7 (around about Maleeni) though was probably the one I like the least.

But yes, season 5 was definitely a - maybe THE - highlight. I mean:

I'm rewatching season 8 right now and finding myself pretty partial to the look in some of those episodes too, though I concede my opinion may be colored by my just generally loving the angstfest that is season 8.

(there's something a bit Never Againy about it isn't there? like the fringe or something? idk i know literally nothing about hair. anyway i think it's similar just with ANGST CLASSIC™ instead of Rebel Angst Lite™)

I have to admit I haven't watched past the end of season 8 yet, at all, ever, so take this with a Big Grain Of Salt but I just really really gotta give honorable mention to IWTB. Just look at this post!!!!!!! It just works. Never seen a gif from that film that I didn't like.

My last opinion is also a PSA, but I also really think Scully deserved more ponytails. How you gonna do science much less CORPSE science with your hair at risk of falling in your eyes! You can't just brush it away! You're wearing gloves! Those things touch your subject and your tools and nothing else!!! Safety first guys!!!!!
