"Because, underneath it all, Crowley was an optimist."
"If there was one rock-hard certainty that had sustained him through the bad times—he thought briefly of the fourteenth century—then it was utter surety that he would come out on top; that the universe would look after him."
"It was all a matter of being in the right place at the right time."
the universe didn't look after you this time Crowley
Headcanon about 60s ineffable wives; by the 60s Aziraphale has found the outfit he’s always comfortable in (bowtie, stim waistcoat, his jacket he’s kept in tip-top condition) and he’s not going to compromise on that, plus women wear trousers now. If Aziraphale notices they’re being called gay slurs while dressed like that as a woman in 1960s America, they don’t really care as it’s something they’ve sort of learned to not pay attention to for centuries. (Basically Aziraphale is obviously super gay no matter what gender they present as).
Crowley took responsibility for inventing the mini skirt/mini dress to Hell (they didn’t) and I think sometimes presents as a woman depending on who they’re tempting, so would find it fun/liberating. She always likes to look ‘of the moment’ so her accessorization/style is on point.
Here’s a cute bowtie lesbian (stock photo) and a 60s lady to demonstrate:
well I planted a bunch of yellow flowers today and just finished up painting my french doors in the closest to Va Va Voom I could find
I used to not be the biggest fan of yellow, but I have to agree with Our Angelic Queen Of Simps that it may not perfectly match my other red and black decor choices...
