The bass pounded loudly, mixing with the drums and main guitar as it shook the entire arena; Alejandro was stood beside you, mopping sweat from his brow as he suddenly regretted wearing a hoodie.

Outside was freezing, but with the pyrotechnics and the crowd, it was getting close to sweltering for Alejandro; he grabbed the hem of his hoodie, as well as the hem of his shirt, and quickly tugged it over his head, tying it around his waist.

You looked at him, grinning as you looked him up and down; daring to grin. He didn't seem to notice when you started singing and dancing along again, completely enthralled by you and utterly hypnotised.

He made the right choice in getting you the tickets for your anniversary; it wasn't really his type of music, his taste swayed more towards bands like Slipknot and Rammstein, but he was more than happy to see you so fucking ecstatic.

"Fränder, bröder, vår stormaktstid är över! Vårt rike blöder, fanan står i brand! Aldrig, aldrig, aldrig återvända! Svea stormaktstid till ända! Ambition och en strikt religion! Drev svensken uti krig!" Your voice rang out louder than the band, and Alejandro couldn't help but to nearly stumble over his own feet.

You were fucking stunning, singing at the top of your lungs with such passion that he found it difficult to compare it to anything; you were where you belonged, after all, and he had certainly made the right decision.

Laughing a little to himself as he pulled you to his side, kissing your temple sweetly as he hummed to himself. You tilted your head to the side, eyeing him for a moment as you squinted at him.

"What?"

"You only do that when someone's flirting with me!" You shouted over the music, laughing. "How can you be jealous right now?!"

Alejandro giggled, shaking his head. "No, amor! You're just so happy! I love it!"

You rolled your eyes, grinning as you did your best not to shake your head at him. But he was being honest.

Alejandro had not seen you so happy in what seemed like forever; the only time that ever rivalled it was when he had agreed to watch the extended editions of The Lord of The Rings with you... even if he did fall asleep by the first hour.

He rarely got the chance to see you so happy; often away on deployment or stationed at the training fields, Alejandro barely ever got the chance to see you happy, let alone be the cause of it.

He could never understand why you had stayed with him for so long, but he appreciated it, he appreciated you.

There was no one in the world he would have loved to call his spouse more than you. In truth, he adored you massively, so much so that he would have done anything for you.

If you asked him for the moon, he would have put a lasso around it and pulled it down into the front garden.

If you asked him for the crown jewels, he would have shot every last English royal to get them for you.

If you asked, Alejandro would have done it for you; he knew full well, though, that it went both ways. If he asked, you would have done it. If he wanted something, you would have gotten it for him.

Utterly and completely devoted to one another in every sense.

The show was coming to a close, though, and as the band said their final goodbyes after their last encore, you turned to Alejandro, and grabbed him by the back of the neck. He grinned when you planted a kiss to his lips, immediately kissing you back and pulling you closer, as much as he could.

You were so fucking happy, he couldn't help but to be infected by it. Spending a lifetime at war, constantly having to see destruction and death at every turn, of course he was more than happy to have a spouse who reminded him that there was good in the world, and that that good was worth fighting for.

But once the band had finished, he brought you outside with him, and as he tugged his hoodie and shirt back on, you sat on the smoking area steps, grinning at him.

Alejandro couldn't put a price on such a smile, it was the single most precious thing in the world and he would have done anything to see it. He could never say that your smile was anything but priceless.

"Cigarette?" You hummed, and when he sat beside you, you handed him one. "Thank you for this, by the way. I know they're not really your thing."

Alejandro shook his head as he took a drag from his cigarette and put his arm around you. "I got to see you smile. That makes it more than worth it."

You grinned, looking at him so fucking fondly that it nearly made him faint. "I love you so much."

"I know," he hummed. "Do you wanna go to the merch stand after this? I'll buy you whatever you want."

"Do you mean it?" You asked with a hopeful stare.

Alejandro nodded as he did his best not to laugh so fucking fondly. "Of course! You're my spouse, mi amor, mi corazón."

You nudged him with your shoulder as you laughed softly. "What'd I ever do to deserve you?"

He shrugged, pursing his lips for a moment. "You got lucky, same as I did."

Softly, you stole a kiss. "I love you. You're the best husband in the world."
