Favorite list of royal women | Regnant queens (who crowed herself queen without her husbands)
Been a queen regnant is not always easy specially when you are married but mor common than one would think. Here four of my favorite queen that were married and despite what society, and often the husband himself, thought decided that her lands by heritage or conquest were only hers to rule.
i. [1081-1116] Called The Reckless, Urraca was one of the most powerful reigning Queens of her time having inherithed the kingdom of León. Upon the death of her first husband she was convinced to marry Alfonso of Aragon the most successful warrior king of the Iberian Peninsula. It went horribly wrong. Personalities clashed and Alfonso emprisoned Urraca at one point. With Galicia rebelling and the Almoravides menace the spouses still went to war againts each other. Finally they separate and while Urraca still has a long way ahead and could keep most of her lands for herself.
ii. [1697-1731] Louise Hyppolite was at her time of birth the last Grimaldi. Monaco was under French control and it was decided that man from the French King family will be Louise’s husband and rule along with her. She was married and had to leave her land with her husband. Described as shy and submissive she did not enjoy her time at Versailles. When her father was ill she came back alone to Monaco and when he died she crowned herself Princess of Monaco with the people enthusiastic support naming her firstborn heir. There is no much her husband could do and though she ruled fr a short time she did it as the sole Princess.
iii. [1717-1780] Maria Theresia’s father Emperor Charles VI of the Roman Empire, did not prepared her to rule as he was convinced that her husband would rule for her. However, she had other plans and when her father died Maria Theresa, a 23 years old set to stablish her right as a moanrch against Prussia and most of Europe. She manage to gain ruling experience and be a monarch for 40 years. Though she deeply loved her husband she did not let him rule in her name and even refused to kneel in front of him when he was elected Holy Roman Emperor as she was of highest ruler. She was Sovereign of Hungary and Bohemia and Archduchess of Austria on her own right her husband being the consort.
iv. [1583-1663] Njinga was Queen of Ndongo after her father and brother. At the time with the Portuguese slave trade Njinga became a symbol of resistance to the Europeans. In order to gain power in the center of the region she married an Imbangala leader and learned the techniques and strategies of his people. However when she set to conquer the kingdom of Matamba and ruled there as the Queen as Matamba had tradition of female rulers. As she gained influence she was recognized as one of the great queens of the region at the time.

If you don’t mind, could you give some tv show recs with canon incest?
Sure! I will recommend only what I have watched myself.
Starting with the most popular, House of the dragon. Although I can't say that Daemon and Rhaenyra's couple is my favorite, the show as a whole is good and full of consanguineous couples. (I'm not talking about Game of thrones because I haven't finished it, but I think you know about it).
Tumblr media
No less popular, The Borgias (Showtime). It was a starting point for my incest fetish xD I started watching not knowing anything about the Borgia family or that there would be incest in the series, but I shipped Cesare and Lucrezia from the very first episode.
Tumblr media
The second season of Elite features a hot pair of half-siblings.
Tumblr media
Speaking of less popular shows, we have Another period. This is a pretty peculiar show, but if you like trash comedies, then it will be an ideal option. A canonical twincest couple, they are adorable.
Tumblr media
A taste of honey. A very good thing about a couple of uncle and niece. Japanese drama.
Tumblr media
Hope it was useful information for you, Anon! :)
UPD. It wasn't mentioned because I forgot about it, but I'm adding it now. El Cid. The chemistry between Alfonso and Urraca is unreal and they are comparable to Cesare/Lucrezia.

Well alrighty then shaking the cobwebs question let's gooo
Hmm what are their feelings towards the mc at first? Why do they feel that way?
You can't see me but I am holding a broom and cleaning the cobwebs as we speak. It's honest work and that is all that matters.
As for your question, I answered this partly wayyyy back when I first started the blog here, but this is their impressions of the Villain before their self-imposed exile, and as such, I will be adding their feelings towards the MC post that exile.
Archie
Arcturus does not know how to feel about the Villain. Milo has kept him appraised of their adventures over the years, and he has begun to wonder if they have changed, but he remembers them from before the exile and he is conflicted. He hopes that what he has heard is true, he hopes that [SPOILER] means that they are no longer the person he remembers. But at the end of the day, this is merely a hope and he will have to wait and see.
Adhy
Adhara is wary of Ophiuchus' new Minister of Foreign Affairs. Tales of their exploits have reached her ears through Milo, and she has heard from [SPOILER] that the Villain is [REDACTED]. She is to take the wait and see approach, because she remembers their callousness with other noble children and the rumors she believes they spread regarding her brother. Like Arcturus, she is taking the wait and see approach, but unlike her brother, there is no hope within her, merely a patient sort of wariness.
Vicky
Victoria had only seen the Villain from affair, but she knows of their reputation and has seen them at their worst. She might have been from a lesser noble family, but she has always been watchful and she notices things. Her love for life makes it so she is willing to welcome the Villain with open arms as Milo's reports do show a change in character, but even then, she keeps a wary eye out for she won't allow them to ruin what she has built.
Carmen
There is no mixed opinion, no doubt on this case. Carmen hates the Villain for their bullying. She is not aware of the Villain's exploit's abroad, so to her, it seems as if her old bully is returning victorious after gaining everything they wanted and more. It is made worse by the fact that she knows the story and knows [SPOILER] so she worries that they are playing right into their hands.
Milo
Funnily enough, for all that Milo's job exposes him to the worst of humanity, he is the one that has the most faith in the Villain at the beginning of the story. Since he gained his position as Spy Master, he took special care to pay close attention to the Villain and he has seen how they have changed and their feats. Still, he is aware that he was not one of their victims so it is not his place to forgive the Villain, and he knows that the Villain might regress to their old self once they return 'home', so he has kept his opinion to himself.
Blake
Simply put, they do not care about your previous reputation. To them, all you are is a potential rival. As another person blessed with the Obscurae Arcana since birth, the Villain had a much better life than Blake could have dreamed off when they were young. As such, they want to surpass the Villain's accomplishments and demonstrate that they are stronger than them, better than them because it was Blake who abolished the unjust laws against the Obscurae Arcana, not the Villain. Not Navis.
Val
Yet another person who has no previous relations with the Villain. Xyr opinion of the Villain is simple: xe cannot judge them for things they did before xe knew them, so xe will wait and see what is the Villain's behavior once they meet.
Rowan
Even before Milo, Rowan is the biggest supporter of the Villain. Fae knows more about the Villain than anyone else, bar Orion, and that means that fae trusts them explicitly. Fae knows their struggles and know that they regrets their actions, has seen their efforts to change.

The Bastard Kings and their families
This is series of posts are complementary to this historical parallels post from the JON SNOW FORTNIGHT EVENT, and it's purpouse to discover the lives of medieval bastard kings, and the following posts are meant to collect portraits of those kings and their close relatives.
In many cases it's difficult to find contemporary art of their period, so some of the portrayals are subsequent.
1) Ramiro I of Aragon (1006/7- 1063), son of Sancho III of Pamplona and Sancha de Aybar; with his son Sancho I of Aragon & V of Pamplona (1043-1094)
2) His wife, Ermesinda of Foix (1015 - 1049), mother of Sancho I of Aragon. Daughter of Bernard Roger de Foix and his wife Garsenda de Bigorra; and Sancha of Aragon (1045-1097), daughter of Ramiro I and Ermesinda
3) His father, Sancho III of Pamplona (992/96-1035), son of García II of Pamplona and Jimena Fernández
4) His brother, García III of Pamplona (1012-1054), son of Sancho III of Pamplona and his wife Muniadona of Castile
5) His nephew, Sancho IV of Pamplona (1039- 1076), son of García III of Pamplona and his wife Placencia of Normandy
6) His brother, Ferdinand I of Leon (1016- 1065), son of Sancho III of Pamplona and his wife Muniadona of Castile
7) His niece, Urraca of Zamora (1033-1101), daughter of Ferdinand I of Leon and Sancha of Leon
8) His niece, Elvira of Toro (1038-1099), daughter of Ferdinand I of Leon and Sancha of Leon
9) Sancho II of Castile (1038/1039-1072), son of Ferdinand I of Leon and Sancha of Leon
10) Alfonso VI of Leon (1040/1041-1109), son of Ferdinand I of Leon and Sancha of Leon

Reckless, warrior, indomitable... this extraordinary queen of the 11th century demonstrated that women could be great leaders, govern with their own criterion, decision, perseverance and intelligence. She scandalized the world by separating from a tyrannical and abusive husband, taking lovers, and having illegitimate children. In a time when women could only be devoted mothers and obedient wives, Queen Urraca of Leon managed to reign with the freedom of a man.
