Our souvenir, which depicts King Sancho II of Castile being impaled by his own golden spear while doing his business, is a fun way to have a piece of history on your fridge.
Something went wrong long ago and now it’s the present. You’re out of time, a person from the past. The world has moved on far from where you came from and where you’re going is uncertain but things aren’t so different. There were people to fight back then and there seems to be more of them now. So, you fight.
Another Icon finished for one of the Worst Generation Playbooks! Art is still in progress, but the book with full written content is available for purchase (or download if you backed) on the Five Points itch store!
“When you see that poor, sweet Sanbi girl’s blood dripping between your fingers day after day, night after night, does it ever become less vivid? Can you smell the iron and gore as fresh as the day you did it?” The hand that had since been content to rest against his chest begins to press down.
Don’t...
“And that poor boy’s father …” She trails off, and at this, Kakashi tries to twist away. He doesn’t want to hear what comes next. He doesn’t need to listen to what he already knows is the truth. “… you know, it was your cursed touch that marked that man for death. It is your fault the child never had a family.”
“You venerate a dead man, elevating him to the level of near worship. A man who will never, ever love you back. Not in this world, or the one of the living.”
Stop it ...
“He only asked you to do one thing,” his head lolls to the side from the nudge of a leathery nose against his temple, nuzzling against his hair to whisper in a crackling wheeze, “and you still couldn't do it.”
Chapter 18 "Curse" - Love Will Find You (This Is a Threat) by @sthene
Some close ups because compression my beloathed and also the canvas I used was huge sjbd
Bonus:
I couldn't choose which color overlay I preferred cause I wanted both a fantastical feel but also a cold atmosphere, so here's the more "fantastical" variation of the piece :p
Various pictures from my "Weekly obscures" series (that I actually do when I feel motivated, as i never wanted it to become a pressure) done in 2020 and 2021.
Cesó el aguacero; ríe el viejo sol
en la pista rosa y blanca,
mas quedan aún gotas en las ramas
del gris manzano.
La tartana rola como una loca
y el eje sin untar chilla;
en el prado la urraca sacude sus plumas
y echa a volar.
Mi vida es igual:
cierto que el antiguo dolor dormita
y el pasado va perdiendo las hojas;

Et l’essieu mal huilé crie ;
La pie secoue ses plumes dans la prairie
Puis s’envole.
Ma vie est ainsi :
Certes la douleur ancienne est assoupie
Et le passé peu à peu s’effeuille ;
Mais des larmes pourtant pointent parfois aux cils
Et mon cœur reste en demi-deuil,
Comme cette pie.
This illustration was inspired by a rainy day combined with a fall season. I realized how the shape of pumpkins and umbrellas are similar, so I tried to play with the design and the composition in a simple way, giving a touch of irony to the storytelling using one of my favorite characters “La Urraca” #iluzmarie #fall #rainyday #rain #pumpkin #reven #urraca (at Austin, Texas) https://www.instagram.com/p/CkWNrtdvPxP/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
