nico and hazel got matching tattoos. nico made a diamond and hazel's real birth date, and she made a skull and nico's real birth date. they were very small and were on their wrists so whenever they were far away they could see the tattoos and they felt closer

y'know what we don't talk about enough? Hazel died. We talk about how she grew up in the 30's and 40's and we talk about how out of place she feels in the modern world, but! She died! She was dead! She has spent more time dead than alive, and not by a close margin!
How does that effect a person??? We got some of it in the flashbacks, but once those caught up with her present timeline and she shared them, they just kind of... disappeared. And she was a regular girl with some weird past experiences. That's one way of doing it, sure!
I think it would have been a lot cooler if she was just a touch creepier. If she felt a little bit Wrong. Yeah, in general she's more approachable than her brother, she's more sociable and less closed off, but. If you actually spend any time with her, it can be difficult to tell which child of the underworld is actually more unsettling.
Hazel is bright of personality and has a dazzling smile, but sometimes she'll just... shut down. She'll go completely blank for like half an hour and nobody knows what to do with it. Sometimes she forgets she's alive. Sometimes she'll spout the grimmest shit you've ever heard like it's nothing, she won't even notice it's weird until the room goes quiet. She spent decades in Asphodel, which is designed to make people forget about themselves and wander around for eternity, only she didn't have the luxury of forgetting! Wild! After she comes back to life, sometimes she forgets that she's allowed to Do Stuff now. She can spend so long sitting and staring at nothing. Sometimes she'll start crying on cloudless days because it hits her again that she can actually feel the warmth of the sun on her skin and she can hear birdsong. Every little mundane experience is a blessing and she will make you remember that in the most foreboding way possible.
#hazel levesque#hoo#mj talks#like. i am fascinated with characters who die and come back different and it JUST hit me that there was so much potential for hazel there#the idea of how death lingers was not explored At All in heroes of olympus#of course there's the obvious part in that there were what. 3 named character deaths total? 4 if you count leo#which i very much don't because it didn't stick! there were no consequences to this gigantic war!#the first series did well with that because we had plenty of named characters who died#even though some of them were introduced only to die like six chapters later. we still knew them on some level#and more importantly percy knew them. he felt their loss in a way that made consequences seem real#heroes of olympus didn't have any of that. hazel could have been a great way to talk about it a little more!#also i just love characters who have obviously gone through death. that has to change a person! tell me how it changed you!#anyway. i think i'll make hazel creepier from now on in my writing#she deserves it <3#nico is creepy in an obvious way. he's got power over death and that clings to him like a second skin. he can't hide it#and he's learned that he doesn't have to. there is power in being othered#hazel seems lovely when you first meet her! none of the death power all of the glitter and gold and riches#and then she'll look you dead in the eye and say 'you really don't know how lucky you are to be able to breathe until you can't anymore'#and move on like it's nothing! what!#underworld siblings

—- a tour
Luke Castellan x Persephone!genderneutral!reader
warning - persassy, mention about danger in the forest, mentions of couples making out in the forest, percy : 🧍🏼, soft Luke
plot -
Luke gives a tour to Percy and they come across a certain someone.
or
The child or Persephone babysits her younger half sibling when two boys see her.
”and that’s the entrance to the forest, i’d advise you to stay away from it though. it gets pretty dangerous at night and in the day time couples just go there to hang out.” Luke said mumbling that last bit.
Percy shot him a look of confusion and disgust, and Luke responded by just saying ‘yeah i know.’
The two boys then come to the strawberry farm where they see you playing with your eight year old half sibling.
At the sight of you, Luke’s eyes softened and his lips curled into a slight smile.
Meanwhile, you were using your powers to make a small flower for the younger girl, your half sibling smiled a toothy smile and fidgeted with the flower you’d given her.
Feeling the boys’ presence, you turn around to see the two and smile at them and wave.
Luke’s hand uncurled slightly giving you a small wave and Percy just stood there confused.
“who’s that?” Percy asked the older boy. Luke quickly snapped out of his trance to hum in confusion. “i mean who are they?”
“[ name ] [ last name ],” Luke said snapping his gaze over to you again watching you weave together flowers to make a crown for the girl.
“so you and them, huh?”
“what do you mean?” he said looking now back at Percy
“i mean you and them, forest?” Percy looked at him in genuine curiosity
“what? gods no!” he said a little too quickly, his face was flustered as he thought of you and him dating.
“i mean, they’re pretty. and everything just gets better when they’re around. and everything just blooms in a flourishing way.” he muttered to the younger boy his mind still fixated on you.
“mhm.” Percy hummed and before he could say anything, a certain child of Persephone showed up.
“whatcha guys talking about?” They both looked up to see you holding the hand of an eight year old girl.
“gods [ nick name ], don’t scare us like that.” Luke muttered teasingly and you fake laughed before a smile tugged at your lips.
Luke was right, Percy could see that everything just got brighter around you. You gave off a welcoming and kind aura and it made it 10x better with your kind smile. the flowers the wilted from dehydration looked crisp and clean around you.
you smiled at Luke but only glanced at Percy for a split moment with a confused glint in your eyes.
the eight year old girl tugged at your sleeve to go to the Persephone Cabin.
as soon as you left, the crisp and clean flowers now wilted again and looked sad. Percy remembered that your mother was Persephone, goddess of the Spring but also the Underworld as in death.
Luke watched you run back to the Persephone Cabin hand and hand with the eight year old girl.
“uh huh sure you don’t like her.” Percy said with sarcasm and sass mixing in his voice
“oh shut it.” Luke said with a flustered face.

yandere parents hera and zeus x child reader (headcanons)
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
having these two as yanderes in anyway is a dangerous thing. between lovers and parents, parents is the safer option because they would be less likely to do anything too extreme since your their child.
no matter your gender you will be their new favorite (no offense to the others they're still loved <3). if your a girl then you'll be spoiled, dressed in the cutest and finest clothes. if your a boy then you'll be trained to be a warrior and praised for everything.
you will remain at their sides at all times. they cant let their youngest child out of their sight, what if you got hurt?
you're not aloud to date. ever. they dont want you to be hurt in love. although maybe if you had enough people mention it to your parents then one of them may budge a little.
if said person they let you date were to ever hurt you then prepare to be single forever. also prepare to lose your ex because there may not be anything left of them when your parents are done.
if you thought that zeus and hera were the only ones yandere for you then you were very very wrong. not only do you have your overly powerful godly parents but you also have many overly powerful siblings yandere for you. and uncles and aunts. and pretty much all of olympus.
when the events of the show happen things become dangerous. both of your parents are already angry at each other and everyone is on edge with hera's threats.
when heron is first brought to olympus you were locked in your room by your mother. there was no way she would let her baby near another one of her husbands children that had not been with her.
when the war starts the only decision that your parents managed to agree on would be that you are not aloud to fight. they dont care how much you beg or whos side you take you will not fight.
they would most likely gide you in the underworld, that's where all the other gods who remained natural hid from the fight so you would be under constant attention.
after the fight hera is quick to get you after the fight before your uncles or siblings could. since no one knows if zeus was alive or dead she had no reason to let you be on olympus when she knew she wasn't welcome after what she had done.
since the gods cant die zeus will heal and come to find you. as will your siblings and other family.
if your mother refuses to give you back with no fight then there may be another war for who gets to keep you.
ultimately your family will decide keep you in their care together. your parents might not get along but your safety they will tolerate each other.

Not to get pedantic (oh who am i kidding that’s most of this blog) but I am genuinely fascinated by the potential applications of the established canon in HoO and TOA that the gods canonically have both historic and regional forms, and can appear as specific versions of those forms and have kids of those specific forms, which influence what powers the kid has/what pantheon they fall under/etc etc (and also the implication that demigods can be born under multiple forms of a singular deity). This is somewhat backed up even earlier in the first series when we’re told that Percy has earthquake powers because of his father being Poseidon “The Earthshaker” (which is Mycenaean Poseidon) - which could also tie into why Percy generally takes leadership roles, is hopping in and out of the Underworld a lot, and is apparently particularly powerful for even just a Big 3 kid, since all that would line up with Mycenaean Poseidon being generally put at the head of the pantheon and also being a chthonic deity.
Now this gets really interesting when we start looking at deities being combined and conflated, because a.) the Romans weren’t the only ones doing that and b.) the Romans had their own gods originally, they didn’t just take the Greek ones and slap a new name on them. They merged a lot with their own preexisting deities alongside adopting worship of deities from other cultures as the Romans spread (and the Greeks also did this), and c.) the ancient Greeks and Romans did exist at the same time.
Like, we know in terms of the Greeks and Romans that if their godly parents are “equivalent” then their demigod children are siblings, just like if Greek demigods have the “same” godly parent then they are also siblings. However, very few Greco-Roman gods are one-to-one, and a lot are like three gods in a trench coat, and then if you want to get into historical forms then you can start running into weird things like “Well, if you go back far enough, these two Greek gods may have originated from the same thing-” and also if we’re talking historical forms, again, the Greeks and Romans existed at the same time! Which means there would be historic forms of godly parents that are both Greek and Roman! So like, where do we go from there? Would Hazel be equally siblings to a child of Plutus as she is to Nico because both Hades and Plutus were conflated into Pluto? Orcus was also conflated with Pluto - does that mean when Nico killed Bryce Lawrence, he was killing his half-brother? (cause then that parallels just a couple chapters later when Will faces off against Octavian-) Are there demigods who, depending on their godly parents’ form(s), are technically both a Greek and Roman demigod? If Hermes and Pan possibly originated from the same god, does that mean all the satyrs are siblings with the Hermes kids? If we want to get into all the nonsense of Dionysus’ origins and Zagreus and Hades, does that mean Nico is technically siblings with Dionysus kids? Does Dionysus joke about this during their therapy sessions? Are some demigods in certain cabins siblings with kids in other cabins but each others’ siblings aren’t siblings depending on what form their godly parents were in?
I have a headache now.

Interesting Richarlyson, Pomme, and qBad lore lines regarding qForever and/or @v@ or others (23 Dec 2023)
(not full transcript, just some i thought were interesting, also I'm not changing their typos on their signs n such)
with qPhil and qBad:
Richas :"Dad DID took a medicine but NOT this one" (Happy Pills)
Richas :"Tio Phil 0_0 it IS a medicine but…it is not taking effect. I knew it but, well, the only thing I can do is try to…ask help for someone but who knows where they are."
Richas :"Don't worry tios 0_0 killing him does nothing cause it won't do much now. If anything happen, it will be to me sO DON'T WORRY >:D WE CAN FIX HIM"
with qBad: after sending Pomme away for a moment:
Richas :"so they spoke about bad forever right? Take care of Pom and Dapper tio, I will take care of him dad is far gone, don't try to save him this is not a matter of a pill anymore 0_0 well KKKKKKKKKKKKKK NEITHER I DO KNOW LIFE IS CONFUSING"
Bad asking if "taking care" of him meant killing him
Richas : "KKKKKKKKKKK no tio nah nuh yuh"
Even if the pills aren't working, shouldn't there be some way to fix him?
Richas :"I mean there always is but…do we know how? I can ask tio but do you even know about a certain "dark cucurucho""
"That's the thing tio This is our only hint, for this, it's not a mather of sving him, but keeping dad alive I mean, he might be a danger to me but he is still my dad and better me than the others no? 0_0"
Nonono! what about nobody?
Richas :"thATS WHY KKKK YOURE A LITTLE GOSSIPER and you like dad forever a lot so I don't want tio to be stepping on landmines"
What about working together?
Richas :"Tio again 0_0 KKKKKKKKKKK again, he is far gone, idk how bad it was before Well, if that wakes dad up >:D"
"I mean yeah tio rn the only thing he would propose to in this state is satan so this is how bad it is"
Bad proposing different sleeping arrangements
Richas :"he don't want to kill me now tio 0_0 BUT at least not for today KKKKKK"
"i mean he shot tallulah so KKKKKKKKKKKKKKK But dw 0_0 I just want to say because tio, put energy on pom and dappe >:D"
Bad expresses concern towards Richas
Richas : "KKKKKKKKKKK I am a smart eggie tio, dw and honestly 0_0 it's dad, I will be fine either way, did anyone ever hurt and egg like this before?
qBad :"If you die Richas, I will crawl down and grab your soul and drag it back from the underworld myself, ok Richas? You are forbidden from dying, understood?"
Richas :"WAIT NOW I KINDA WANNA DIE JUST TO GIVE TIO THE WORK"
"if dad die pull him back for me, please"
qBad :"I will do my best Richas, I'll try"
Goes to look for Pomme, caught Pomme just staring a little too close at fire
Pomme :"hey :D"
qBad :"hmm…what are you up to?"
Pomme :"Nothing, dw"
qBad :"Oh. ok. Well if it was nothing, i won't worry about it because if it was something….you would say something…"
Pomme :"Just feeling a bit sad Just a bit worried of not being trust worthy"
qBad :"It's not that Pomme. It's Richas…he's concerned about you and so he doesn't want to tell you something because he doesn't want you to worry that's basically it"
Pomme :"Why? He doesn't need to be worried about me"
Richas :"KKKKKKKKKKKKKKK I have secrets with pom too"
"no no Pome 0_0 it's about dad forever"
Pomme :"I mean… I don't know, today has just been a lot I wasn't planning on keeping it a secret from you"
"It's more… of an idea than a secret But I'm not sure we should say anything about it "for now""
Richas :"BUT I can say hope you're fine pom 0_0 dw, take care of tio bad too cause he abuses his poor totems"
Pomme :"dw, I made it my duty to keep him alive like I kept you alive for 3 months you muffinhead"
Richas :"CALLATE KKKKKKK"
Bad starts singing a "we will keep Richas alive" song
Pomme :"A miracle tbh"
"Okay that song was comforting pfft and funny :') <3"
"I'm just… I just want to try my best, you know"
Bad gives words of encouragement
Pomme :"Today was honestly awful, I saw him SHOT my siblings and I couldn't hit him, because >I know< it would've make things worse"
qBad :"Yeah, I think you did the right thing Pomme, the way you handled that situation, I think you handled it very well. And I am very proud of you."
Pomme :"I was angry at him and I felt powerless and I hate this I hate this I hate this feeling, I always feel powerless things keep happening to us and I CANT defend them no matter how hard I try to train and have the best gear I'll break at some point, I can't tank it forever no pun intended"
Bad ensures her that she has people who love her for her to lean on
Pomme :"Dad everytime it happens when you are not here when our parents aren't here"
Richas :"I MEAN MINE WAS KKKKKKKKKKKKKK"
Pomme :"yeah, AND he was targetting richas I just made sure to be the LAST ONE to warp, to leave no one behind, besides Richas and what I did was waiting in front of RIchas' stasis enderpearland I WAS READY to activate it I GOT SO SCARED."
Richas :"KKKKKK Pom, thank you for those splash potions TAKING 20 BULLETS HURT A LOT KKKKKKKKKK"
Pomme :"I KNOW I WAS SO FREAKING MAD. I WAS JUST PRETENDING TO BUILD FOR HIM BUT KEPT LOOKING AT THE SIDE I had my freaking tomb digger ready to hit him to give y'all time to warp away At least Dapper taught me well"
Richas :"our goat sleeper"
qBad :"Let's go yeah! See, Pomme, what you just described is a perfect example of literally ALL of us together, have been able to help lift each other up, help make each other stronger. Your brother, Dapper, helped give you the skills you needed to be tough, he gave you knowledge and tools that could help you in this situation. Richas helped provide you with levity while you're out in the wilderness to help you have the motivation to stay alive yourself, right? Instead of doing it alone, you had this goofball to keep you company, right? Everybody in our life can help lift us up in some way, shape or form. What's interesting about burdens, Pomme, is the burdens that we help carry for others feel lighter to us because we're helping them and the burdens others help carry with us, feel lighter to them as well so when two people help carry each other's burdens where they can, it actually makes the weight lighter for both of them and that's what we're trying to do with you and that's what you're doing with us Pomme. You're shouldering a burden which is making it easier on your siblings, it's making it easier on everyone else, you know what that's called, Pomme? It's called love. That's when you love your family so much and you love your friends that you're willing to sacrifice to help them because you love them and you care about them, okay? So, you don't need to worry cuz we love you too, Pomme and we're going to keep you safe and hopefully you can help keep us safe and I just want to let you know we do appreciate it."
Pomme :"I will keep you safe, I would do anything so you all are safe
literally anything"
group hug

Hello, glad I can submit this request then, I barely find any Luke Castellan fics he needs more love 😭
Anyways, I just wanted to request something small like headcannons on what it would be like at the aftermath of the Battle of Manhattan if Luke didn't die, what would he be like and how the reader would help him overcome his trauma or problems ? Just pure fluff is what I'm trying to say ;_;
Sorry if that doesn't make any sense... Please let me know if you don't understand me XD
But thank you so much if you write this <3
i see that you have asked for headcanons but i am so delighted by this request that you get a full fic instead (ily)

Luke Castellan is not sure what to do with the fact that he did not die. It would have made for a better ending, he thinks. It was the logical conclusion. He tried to make a better world, and when that failed, he could have been terminated along with that last dream. It is what most people would have decided was best.
Yet Luke opens his eyes– his eyes, not someone else’s, not that awful feeling of having his body belong to some being that was not even human, let alone not him– and he is alive. Luke is not sure yet whether this is good or bad. He’s not sure that anything in this world could remotely fit into those categories anymore.
He stares up at a blank ceiling above, which confuses him. Last time he checked, Luke was dying on the ruined floor of the gods’ throne room. There had still been a roof over his head, but Luke swore that he could see a sky of the deepest blue. Luke had felt himself fall into that wondrous lapis void, and then he had felt nothing at all.
That was supposed to be dying. It was more peaceful than most people would say he deserved, given all the hell Luke wreaked on the world by allying with Kronos. Luke’s supposed ending had certainly not been pretty:  a dagger in his hand, stabbed into the one place the immortal waters of the River Styx hadn’t protected him. Achilles’ curse had lifted, and Luke was free of the Titan that had been consuming his body whole.
Yet Luke is staring up at a room that is neither burned nor broken. At first, he wonders if this is what death is like, but he’s heard enough stories of the Underworld to know that it would never be this simplistic. No, this isn’t Death; Luke sits up slowly and manages to fight nausea long enough to realize that he’s back in Camp Half-Blood. Back home, his mind tells him, and Luke has to remind himself that’s not true anymore. He has no home. He has no people, he left them all a very long time ago.
A voice to his side makes Luke whip around.
“I’d sit down if I were you.”
Luke trains his eyes until they slowly, begrudgingly focus on an orange-shirted figure seated next to him. At last, he realizes he recognizes the guy. Will Solace, one of Apollo’s kids. He must have been in charge of bringing Luke back from the dead.
Luke is baffled by the fact that Will is perched here and not Michael Yew, current head of the Apollo cabin, until it occurs to him that Michael is likely dead. That explains the hollows under Will’s eyes, at least, and the undercurrent of hate that Will only barely keeps at bay. Such strong emotions for a boy who’s usually so cheerful. Luke supposes he only has himself to blame for that.
Will may despise Luke all he wishes, but he’s still a doctor at heart. The blond gestures for Luke to lean back down. “If you rip out your stitches and make my work worthless, I’ll kill you myself.” Will says.
Luke arches a brow. “How do I know you won’t do that anyway?”
“I’m still debating,” Will replies pleasantly.
Someone laughs next to him. “Try to stay civil, Solace. Our time for killing is over.”
A camper takes a seat on Luke’s other side. After a few moments of recollection, his addled head realizes that he knows them. That’s Y/N L/N, they’ve been in the Hermes cabin for the longest time, not one of Luke’s half siblings on the godly side but yet another demigod gone unclaimed for years. They used to complain about that to him. He doubts they would repeat the same sentiments now.
Will groans. “Let me at least try to be intimidating, L/N. I only get to do it so often.”
Y/N cracks a grin, then turns to Luke. “I imagine you must have a lot of questions.”
Luke narrows his eyes at them. “Why aren’t I dead?”
Y/N does a superb job of ignoring Will’s clear sentiment that he’d like an answer to that as well, keeping their gaze firmly trained on Luke. “You tried to stop Kronos in the end. Chiron decided that, seeing as you did all that in an effort to protect unclaimed kids and demigods who were ignored by their godly parents, you deserved a second chance.”
“Does anyone other than Chiron actually believe that?” Luke asks pointedly.
Y/N shrugs. “Depends on what you do when you get out of here.”
Will jumps up. “That’s my cue to check on the rest of my suffering patients. You know, the ones that didn’t try to betray us.”
Y/N watches him go. “Ignore him. He’s–”
Luke cuts her off. “Mad that I tried to kill everyone here? I can’t blame him.”
“So you regret what you did?” Y/N questions slowly.
“I don’t regret trying to do something,” Luke says, “only that the gods weren’t as hurt as the demigods. I didn’t want to hurt us, just them. Olympus could use a good scare.”
Thunder rumbles overhead, loud and overbearing. Luke imagines it’s a warning to him:  he’s treading on thin ice by staying alive, he’d better not press his luck by insulting the gods anymore.
Y/N sighs, evidently thinking the same thing. “You wouldn’t be the only one to want the world to change.”
Luke glances over at them. Obviously, he hasn’t seen Y/N since he switched sides, but he had forgotten that they used to be friends. Good friends, too. It’s nice to have at least that back to normal.
“You haven’t been claimed in the last while, have you?” He asks, changing the subject away from more dangerous waters.
Y/N smiles. “Actually, I have. Percy made the gods swear to start claiming more of their kids. I found out about my parentage a few days ago.”
Luke nods solemnly, but doesn’t ask for further details. He made a point of prioritizing the demigod over their godly parent when he was recruiting for Kronos during the war, and he supposes that habit has stuck. It makes him wonder how many more traits of the enemy he won’t ever be able to shake.
“So when do I get out of here?”
Y/N folds their arms across their chest. “Depends on what you mean by getting out of here. You’ll get a clean bill of health within the next day or two, most likely. You won’t be leaving the camp for months, though, if ever.”
The implications of that don’t have to be spoken aloud. Luke messed up, obviously, and so he’ll be on house arrest until the end of time. If he can prove that he’s worth the effort of saving, maybe they’ll let him live his life, but until then he’ll be monitored around the clock.
It’s more than he expected, at any rate. Part of Luke thought that he’d be handed over to some sort of trial once he healed up, made to face his crimes and be overly punished accordingly. That way, the gods could point to him in the decades and centuries to come as proof of why half-bloods should never reach for more than they deserve.
But no, he’ll be living. That’s certainly something. Luke leans back slowly against his cot and ponders this. “Do I get a personal guard or something?”
Y/N lifts a shoulder. “Kind of. You get me. I’m supposed to follow you around and make sure you don’t try to escape.”
Luke snorts. “How’d you get stuck with that job?”
“I asked for it,” Y/N says coolly.
Luke is taken aback. “Why’d you do that?” He can’t imagine anyone in this camp actively trying to bond with him, let alone someone he knew as well as Y/N. Wouldn’t they hate him for betraying them?
They might be just as surprised about it as he is. “I’m not entirely sure. Guess I thought I was the only one who wouldn’t actively try to kill you in your sleep.”
They’re brutal about it, but it’s kind of nice. Honesty is the only sort of medicine that Luke feels like he can stomach right now. Mollycoddling and sugarcoating just serve to waste time.
He half expects Y/N to back out of it, but no, when Luke is declared medically sound and all but forced out of the hospital wing by swordpoint, they’re waiting for him by the door. Luke staggers out into the bright sunlight and looks around like he’s in a dream. The camp has changed since he last saw it. Cabins have sprung up like wildflowers and more are being constructed by the moment.
Y/N notices him staring and gestures towards the new buildings. “See, that’s your doing, even if no one wants to admit it. A ton of new kids have been claimed. Hermes cabin has never been so empty.”
Bitterness surges through Luke’s throat before he can stop it. “I thought that was Percy’s idea.”
Y/N shakes their head. “Percy only got the idea from you. You can make yourself a villain if you want, but you weren’t entirely heartless. You got my godly parent to claim me, and that’s worth a lot.”
Luke smiles to himself as they go. Y/N leads him to the door of their cabin. It’s still cavernously empty compared to the close quarters Luke remembers in Hermes, and he only notices one bunk with belongings on it.
“You’re the only one here?” He asks.
Y/N nods. “So far, at least. I’ve got you now, though. Just as a warning, I will be claiming cabin counselor privileges and there’s nothing you can do to stop me.”
Luke grins before he realizes it. The expression makes his scar ache, but he finds he doesn’t mind it quite so much as before. “I won’t fight you on that.”
He pulls himself onto the top bunk of one of the many empty rows and surveys his new domain. “Do you think it was worth it? Figuring out who your godly parent was just for them to leave you like this?”
After all, what a life. An empty cabin already collecting dust. It’s cold in here without bodies inside to warm it up. The walls are barren of personal touches. Y/N knows their heritage, yes, and is able to move out of a cabin that was never theirs, but this doesn’t seem like much of a blessing.
Y/N lingers by the foot of Luke’s bunk, and he gestures for them to climb up and join him. They do so in a heartbeat, and then they’re sitting opposite each other, gazes locked and breathing steady.
“It can be lonely,” they admit, “but it’s not so bad. You have hope that it won’t always be this way. Maybe someone will come. Maybe someone already has.”
Luke swallows harshly. “I missed you.”
He blurts it out, hardly aware of what he’s saying. He missed a hell of a lot. Y/N. Laughing at midnight, their whispered words covered up by the sounds of dozens of campers sleeping shoulder to shoulder. Training during the day, the clash of celestial bronze. Orange shirts burning like beacons against their backs. Being able to wear his beaded necklace without feeling like a traitor, even if that’s what he is and always will be.
Y/N leans forward. “I missed you too. I kept hearing about you, which is more than you got of me, but it didn’t feel right. I don’t know where the boy I knew is, if he even exists anymore, but I’d like to try and find him again.”
“I’d like to find him again too,” Luke whispers.
It is the dream of a broken boy bleeding out in the palace of the gods. At this moment, Luke isn’t entirely sure that he didn’t die there in the Olympian throne room. If someone told him that this is what dying is like, conjuring up a vision of what he wishes he could have most of all, Luke would have believed them.
In the end, Luke has no idea if this is real or not. All he can do is keep going, keep waking up each morning to see if he is still in the hazy aftermath of a second chance or finally locked down below in the Underworld. Luke always wanted to try for the Isles of the Blest anyway. Maybe this is just his second life, his second attempt at getting there.
He reaches out on impulse and takes Y/N’s hand. He can feel the blood pumping through their veins, the same certainty as being able to press his fingers against a locked door and know exactly how to break in. This is Luke’s next great trick, but he thinks he’d like to do it right.
“Alright, then,” Luke says at last, “Let’s try again.”

Black Clover Characters as Gods:
I was inspired by my lovely mutual @loosesodamarble and her Butler AU! To make these, and I hope you enjoy~!
Fanfic HERE
In the world of Elysia resides the King of Gods Julius, and in the Underworld resides his twin brother Lucius.
The World of Clover is inhabited by mortals, who are ruled by an idiot king named Augustus Kira-Clover.
Alongside the mortals are the mysterious Fae. Beings said to have been created alongside the gods but not much is known about them and even rarely do you see one.
Alongside the Fae and mortals reside the Elves. They aren’t as mysterious as the Fae, and aren’t as elusive as the Gods. They are curious people, but are also skittish.
Each god has their own temple where the people of Clover can worship them, give them offerings, etc;
Once an Offering is made it cannot be taken back. Each God must get their own unique offering.
Gods are not Genies. They only grant wishes that they want to grant, or are within their power to grant. They also cannot grant wishes that include, or pertain to, another God.
Only one temple is consistently vacant, and that is the God of Dooms.
Yami Sukehiro: The God of Doom. Even though he doesn’t like to, he must always create some sort of chaos or doom in order to “keep the balance”. He has the least amount of worshipers, and is always blamed for the terrible and unfortunate things that happen in life, even if he isn’t the one who caused it.
William Vangeance: The God of Hope. He has the most worshipers out of the gods aside from Julius. He tries his best to instill hope in those that visit his temple, or to those that he believes needs it most. Has noticed that he has been getting less and less visitors lately. Meaning that the humans have begun to lose hope.
Fuegoleon Vermillion: The God of Passion. He tends to get mistaken as the god of lust, which means that he hears a variety of different stories before they figure it out, but he doesn’t mind. After all, he may be the wrong god, but he can still help them in a small way. His visitors tend to be those who want more passion, who are struggling with it, or who have too much.
Morgen Faust: The God of Day. He is probably the most positive god out of the group. He provides light to the mortal world and tends to have a lot of visitors. Usually it is people who wish for there to be more daylight or for the sun not to burn so hot that it destroys their crops. But he doesn’t mind as he enjoys seeing the mortals and hearing their stories.
Nacht Faust: The God of Night. He tends to get less visitors than his twin, but doesn’t really mind as he isn’t a fan of people, especially humans. He is the opposite of his twin in nearly every way, and is pretty close to the God of Doom. He is fond of using trickery to mess with humans and gods alike, but knows when he needs to be serious.
Nozel Silva: The God of Regret. He is the most serious of the gods, and doesn’t like it when they slack off on their jobs. He has 3 siblings whom he loves, but also keeps at a distance, especially after their mother, who was also a god, disappeared mysteriously. His visitors tend to be those suffering from some sort of regret or grief, which means the burden he carries is the heaviest, or second heaviest, out of all the gods.
Yuno Grinberryall: The God of the Stars. He is the son of the God of the Sun and Moon, and is still relatively “young” as far as gods go. But despite that he still gets quite a few visitors, mainly young women who seek his affection, but he refuses them all and only asks that they come to the temple for official “business” like the others. His visitors tend to ask when the next meteor shower is, or if the stars are aligned for things, or what the stars say about certain events.
Asta: A Demigod. His mother and younger brother are both mortals, but their father is a god. He has only recently discovered this fact, and has been living with the gods for the last few years in order to obtain “full god status”. He has been entrusted to the god of doom, and while working as a priest in his temple, has picked up a few of his habits.

—---
Tumblr media
[Year 192X]
"(Y/n)!!!"
At first, you were convinced you were living the Khaenri'ahn Dream. With your youthful yet crime-greased hands, you have fought hard to earn your keep as the Innamorati's current Capo– to earn yourself a family for yours to protect inside Teyvat's ruthless underworld. And family you did keep. Until candles waned like silenced hostages. Until a conspiracy pursued what little faith in humanity you had left.
Until you held your underboss' charred face and lifeless body. Until his sizzling arm burned your hand. Until flakes of Dimitri's skin powdered your fingers like charcoal pencil shavings.
The Innamorati Headquarters burned. And so too did most of your men.
"(Y/n)! Stand back– Think about your men! Would they want you to do this?! You won't save anyone there– not like this!!!"
Looking back, the Khaenri'ahn Dream lied. There was no joy in hustling but you did live an empty yet freeing life. Khaenri'ah preached about humanity and its opportune happiness, yet spoke none about how fleeting it could be once the curtains caught fire. Perhaps that very notion fooled you into believing that your idyllic lifestyle won't be snatched away easily.
The ghosts of those who perished in the manor's basement have sought their final repose on the embers that incinerated your endeavors.
Everything was terribly loud. Many people fled into the murky haze. The square was virtually deserted as people fled for their lives, but you refused to leave. This trait used to be a quality that helped you survive the syndicate, but those damn fascist conspirators turned it against you.
Tartaglia pulled you close.
"VAFFANCULO, TARTAGLIA– LET ME FUCKING GO!"
"NOT UNTIL YOU CALM THE FUCK DOWN!!!"
You stilled, and a single heavy tear left your eye.
This is more than a mite unfair. Everything you labored for, every drop of blood you shed, every vice you committed, what was it all for? Visconti Diluc was right. You're a liar and a murderer undeserving of joy. Maybe this was the retribution he ranted aimlessly about.
You took fast and drastic measures in your rise to the top, and your opponents rightfully did the same to pull you back down.
Tartaglia watched as you writhe in agony knowing that you couldn't escape from his restrictive embrace. He never thought he'd see you appear more pathetic than when Pulcinella first picked you off the streets. Nonetheless, he felt your pain. You both led groups under the same parent organization. You are family.
To him, this was worse than accompanying his widowed sibling to their spouse's funeral.
"… My men, they're…"
You fell into deep thought.
Lyudochka, Kazari, Teppei, Viktor…
You gritted your teeth.
Viktor…
That damn brat didn't even get his chance to shift jobs… That brat still hadn't left this hellhole…
Based on the Khaenri'ahn Dream, all citizens must have an equal opportunity to achieve success through determination and pure grit…
You bit your lip down, drawing blood. In truth, you can't discern whether or not the blood came from your lips or your throat.
"DAMN IT."
Your white-knuckled hand shakily punched your thigh, feeling morbidly powerless.
Viktor said he wouldn't allow himself to die as a lowly servant…
What happened to those dreams now…?
You were so close. You were so close to taking all those fascists down. So why now?!
Tartaglia frowned. He had never seen you act like this– your anger is usually impulsive, but sharp and silent. Your fury simmers until you slice the catalyst open. Never come a time you lashed out like a feral animal as you do now.
"GET IT TOGETHER!!!"
Tartaglia shot you a piercing stare as he slapped you, and you finally reigned yourself in.
This is too pitiful.
Fire surrounded everyone, but you remained frozen by your own dialed-up emotions.
Slowly, he trusted that he could let you go.
"... Ekaterina, send in our men. We'll try to extinguish this mess as much as we can."
"Of course Capo, right away."
You held back your sobs as your knees fell to the floor, where your right-hand man's corpse lay as if he did not struggle in his miserable death.
The last time you talked to him, you called him a worthless coward who couldn't make choices without you. Pain seared through your chest. No one wants that to be their last conversation with their closest confidant.
A bloodcurdling scream rang out across the square, but you scarcely moved from your seat. You're too numb to notice who was behind that familiar voice. It was just another body that couldn't be mourned.
Your eyes focused on Dimitri's corpse instead.
You were planning to apologize after you cleared your head this morning, but what use are words to those who have already left this world? He's gone.
Fallen, cold and dead.
This is by no means the first time you've seen your men die– you had some of the deceased's blood wet your Sunday clothes– but you hope this unforgettable foul scent of burned flesh will be the last time you'll breathe it in. You're already acclimated to the metallic stench of blood; you don't need to ingrain this into your mind as well.
You passed out.
It was only when you closed your mouth did you realize, it was you who cried your lungs out the whole time.
—-----
The church bells rang.
It was 10 AM, and the mass was inching to a close but the priest passionately ignored the echoes of the bell and the mafiasos' groans.
"Is it too early to booze?" Tartaglia whispered in your ear. His yawning proved that he was bored to tears. You did your best in stopping your eyes from rolling.
Unlike Tartaglia, your aura exudes dignity, something he needed the most. When you two sit together, you both appear akin to a comedy act. The usually bloodthirsty Tartaglia transforms into a guileless little brother and your all-forgiving eyes turn endearingly annoyed when paired together. The same scenario was applied this morning.
"Tartaglia, look around you. Does this look like the right time?" You vaguely gestured at the ongoing sermon, not meeting his gaze.
"Geez. Why do we even bother with this?"
"Because even though we are nothing but lowly sinners, we must honor our Tsaritsa's benevolence."
There are 6 Archons revered by the church, and they correspond to six different regions and cities inside the nation of Teyvat. You're an immigrant from outside the country– an agnostic nation– but you're smart enough to pay respects.
"Right, right. I guess even if I asked that ten more times you'd still reply with a generic answer."
You passive-aggressively whispered back. "Maybe if your questions were worth my time I'd elaborate on my answers as well."
"Capo–"
You and Tartaglia turned around. The Fatui mob, one of yours who just got there, nervously sat up straight.
"Capo (Y/n)."
Tartaglia sank back to the pews, no longer caring. The second capo's lack of attention eased the grunt's audience-based apprehension. Their sheer trust in your credibility made you smirk. While you seemed cold, everyone in Snezhnaya knew you weren't.
You recalled how back then these words sounded alien to you but these terms are salient in the scenes. Having recruited predominantly Snezhnayan workers, you had to get used to their way of living. You wanted to foster good interpersonal relationships with your men, and there's no better approach to reach their hearts than religion in the 1920s. And by the looks of it, they seem to trust your carefully crafted sterling reputation.
You always do your job as if you're running out of time, and they put your faith in you like a farmer would a fleeting summer. With some effort, everyone was convinced they'd fall apart without your guidance.
The grunt looked at you with respect.
"Boss Dimitri delivered one very confidential info."
"I see…" You steadied yourself. "Excuse me then, Tar–"
He snatched your sleeve. Tartaglia considered removing your iconic stovepipe hat, but you don't wear it to church. He opted for the second most annoying choice.
"Hey, you can't leave me here. Don't I have every right to be in the know? Gaaahh, cut me some slack. We've practically been siblings for more than half a decade now, (Y/n). Can't you tell your fratello anything?"
"Why are you interested?"
"Cause I'm curious if it's finally time that your familia will collaborate with other factions for once."
You shook your head and sat back down. He's right.
Three major criminal organizations control the small nation of Teyvat, namely the Fatui, Akademiya, and the Adepti. You and Tartaglia are Capos or Harbingers of the former, which had the most control of Snezhnaya.
Based on your history, you don't mingle with other organizations outside Snezhnaya a lot. You had dealings with Ningguang and the Qixing before, but never their parent organization overseas which resides in Liyue.
It just so happens that Tartaglia is bolder than you are. The kid has his headquarters stationed in another province, Liyue. That province isn't far from his hometown since Teyvat is a small country but he complains like a confederate soldier. Most of what Tartaglia talks your ear out is about missing home despite finding fuses of excitement in Liyue enticing anyways. You've heard many stories from him regarding how ruthless Adepti's Prime leader, Morax, is, but that's not your problem.
The Akademiya, however, keeps to themselves. You know close to nothing about them. Snezhnaya may be the heart of trades, but the Fatui cannot tap into Sumeru's supply of canned knowledge. And you quite frankly don't give a shit about what they do. They're not the best at masking their spies.
"Speak."
"Capo, the underboss wanted to inform you that he had already figured out who the mole is."
"Oh?" You and Tartaglia spoke simultaneously.
You'd been looking for a spy among your ranks for quite some time. This mysterious mole was sending information back to Focalor, the self-proclaimed Hydro Archon better known as "Il Duce" around these parts. The braggart with a God complex promised the public that she'll drive mafiosos out of Teyvat, and she's working everyone to the bone for it. Politicians either play yes men or get on your nerves. She's the latter.
Nevertheless, you did not expect Dimitri to deliver results that fast. Bitterly, you thought about how apologizing for him later would look less genuine now that he proved himself worthy. You didn't mean to call your underboss useless– you just couldn't control your temper.
May the Archons forgive your transgressions.
You hope he'd forgive you once you get back.
"... Carry on, Felix."
"Yes, of course. The fascist conspirator is Professor Tighnari, the informant."
You snapped your head back to meet the grunt's face, bewildered.
"... What?"
"FIRE!!! THE PLAZA IS ON FIRE!!!"
One of the church's orphans– Barbara– was screaming by the door, frantically stripped of breath and her chords sounded hoarse, unlike her singing. Her weak legs barely counted as a support for her body as she toppled on the marble tiles. The groceries she carried splashed down, and some fruits rolled in your direction. Your people helped her stand up while some picked up her things for her, but the poor thing shivered like a leaf.
Barbara had always been a sister to you. Having been separated from your family at a young age as well, you two link like two peas in a pod. She relied on you like a quiet strong big sister while you protected her and the other children from street conflicts.
You stood up and calmly patted her shoulder, squeezing lightly. You gave her a gentle smile.
"My dear Barbara– take deep breaths."
She yanked your chest.
"Capo!"
Barbara began to tear up.
"It's your mansion, Capo!!! YOUR MANSION IS ON FIRE!!!"
—-------
You jolted up drenched in cold sweat.
"You're awake…"
You don't know whose voice you were expecting, but that voice was intuitively not one of them. The barren room you woke up in wasn't yours, and it's certainly not Tartaglia's manor. Considering the unfortunate events that just took place, it's foolish to think you'd wake up inside the safety of your manor. Instinctively, you reached for your holster and found it empty.
The man stepped into the light. You have a hunch on who this was. He wore a black-purple stole, vest, and strap combination, an attire you'd often see on a Sunday, yet donned a shabby brown hat on top of his silky white locks.
The stranger stared at you blankly.
"You're a disciple." You claimed.
Aside from the three mafia organizations, the Church had the superior upper hand when it came to crowd control. Nothing moves Teyvat's heart like guides and philosophies. That being said, the Church isn't afraid to get its hands filthy. They are fully aware that conversation will not solve all problems, and there is an unsaid fact that their relationship with the Fatui is far from antagonistic.
And as Capo, you're one of their most devoted patrons. The organization you belong to is filled with devotees, and have often carried out whatever mission the church wishes. Honestly, you think that the Church's fondness for the Fatui should already be a telltale sign that the Archons are nothing more than a statue made of ice.
But you shouldn't think this way. It's peculiar– romantic, even– that what saved you from the fire was your near half-hearted devotion to attending Sunday masses. To be honest, you attend partly because you want to dress to the nines. You don't know how to feel about that.
Their Holiness saved you from the embers, you can atone for your sins by suffering. And that's what this stranger is here for.
"That's correct." He said. "I work for the Sumeru Church. I was instructed to look after you until they help you renovate your manor and the panetteria beside it. That is, of course, assuming you still pass the requirements of being Innamorati's Capo."
This person did not bother easing you into things, and instead bluntly reminded you that your house and men– your home is gone.
You breathed in shakily.
Dimitri is gone…
"...You have my gratitude."
On the bright side, at least your go-to place for lunch will be back after a while. That is if Signorina Xiangling survived and the church won't abandon you.
"Don't worry, we flame to please. I'm sure our architect Kaveh was stoked to receive such a large-scale commission."
"I'm sorry– were you joking at a time like this?"
"Was it not funny? Hah. I think it's hysterical. Oh, would you like for me to explain it?" He didn't ask in a patronizing tone, he spoke as if you didn't have the mental capacity to know what a joke is. Which was honestly more insulting.
You didn't laugh, and he didn't apologize.
You've heard about how church officials have a clear lack in the humor department before, but you didn't take into account that they may very well be this socially inept. Which is rich, coming from you. Your transgressions weigh more than a bad joke executed at a funeral.
With a mastered poker face, you pretended that his slights did not affect you.
He extended his arm out for a handshake.
"Cyno, the former Aaru Village priest. I now work as an inquisitor." Cyno coughed, cheeks turning slightly red. "I didn't change your clothes i-in case you find it uncomfortable."
Sounds like he finds it uncomfortable instead.
His behavior perfectly lines up with his claims. The way he dressed alone encapsulates the aura of a man who used to devote himself to holy sanctums. Some minor details made it clear he's no longer part of the main clergy– that being his choker and numerous ear piercings.
You took his hand. "Pleasure to meet you. I'm (Y/n), the Innamorati Familia's Cap–"
You cringed.
"I'm… I'm just (Y/n)."
"Humble, just (Y/n)." Cyno nodded solemnly.
"No, not humble. Defeated."
"I know."
"Feel free to cry. I won't pass judgment over people expressing normal human emotions."
You laughed humorlessly. "Sure you won't."
Cyno grabbed the plate on the table and passed it on. "Calzone?"
You scoffed.
Admittedly, the food looked appetizing and its rich fragrance made your stomach perceive its emptiness. You trust the church, but no. Your pride would kill you for chewing food down with abandon. The only person you could eat savagely with was Barbara, and Lord knows how the poor girl is holding up. Thankfully your stomach didn't make any noise despite the pain of hunger being a treacherous one.
"I guess not." He awkwardly put it back down.
You inspected your clothes. Your once proud Prussian blue polo shirt reeked of ashes and sundered threads. Still, in a bit of a daze, you squinted.
"... Where's my coat?"
Cyno's gaze sharpened.
"I disposed of it." He spat. "You should be more alert. Someone planted a recording device on your person."
Cyno spoke in a tone that implied he knew who this person was personally, and you're inclined to think the same. You bit your bottom lip at your own seemingly minuscule mistake, opening a minor wound.
"Cazzo."
It's possible that Tighnari was the one to plant it. You let him hold your coat for a moment when you changed into your Sunday attire. That audacity of that fucking bastard.
He must've set the bomb off when he heard Nicola.
"Testa di cazzo– quel fottuto figlio di puttana." You cursed lowly.
Professor Tighnari. That man will soon find his skin flayed and draped on the walls of your basement chambers once it's rebuilt.
You'll kill everyone that fox ever loved.
You'll find his family and wave their heads on a pike right in front of his chained weeping face. You'll claw the skin off their faces and rip their fingernails and limbs apart–
"(Y/n)?"
You can no longer comprehend your emotions. Inside, you are a cacophony of both forced indifference and uncontrollable spite– a contradictory pair yet one that matches how you felt towards the loss of your men and the professor's betrayal.
Slowly but surely, you saw red.
Not expecting that you would stand up, Cyno pushed you back to bed. He looked both worried yet unimpressed by your foul mouth.
"You're not supposed to leave yet."
You tried to gently pry him off, not wanting to offend the church's lackeys, but he was stronger than expected. Cyno planted you back down on the mattress. His left hand was beside your head and his face hovered above yours.
This irritated you.
You don't have much time left.
He continued. "Tomorrow, you work. Today, you rest up. Your people are with Capo Tartaglia and they're not going anywhere. If you need anything– food, water– anything at all, be sure to ring the bell. My ears are sharp. Remember, the Military Police are tailing you and the last of your men."
The Military Police? So it's Focalor's people, huh? That damn governor just won't let up, won't she? If you had nothing left to lose you would've painted her office wall with her brain matter, pronto. But you still have some reasons to continue living.
The last of your men…
Hah. Of course. You have to live for those that survived. After all, if you weren't an incompetent fucking boss you'd still have everyone in one piece.
You're so sick of this.
"May I ask who exactly reached out to help? I doubt the church would waste church funds on a low-ranked Fatui Capo such as myself."
The inquisitor averted his gaze, his brows furrowed. Cyno hid his face behind his hand, murmuring the response meekly. You don't have the best hearing—the sounds of gunshots were bound to dull your senses—and you imagined he gave a monosyllabic response.
"...e."
"My apologies, mind repeating that?"
Cyno stiffened.
"You don't need to know who. What matters is that you're safe now, and an official willingly went through signing paperwork for your manor."
"And based on your tone of voice, I assume that that official is you."
He turned his head indignantly.
"Believe what you want to believe."
Cyno's reply was a telltale sign that this conversation will go nowhere. You sighed.
"... I don't need food, but do you have cigars?"
He scrunched his nose.
"No wonder your breath smells awful nowadays." He muttered before pulling away.
Despite his insulting observation, he pulled out a box of Cuban cigars from his pocket. Quite hypocritical that he complained about bad breath when he had some too. He lit up your cigar.
"Thanks, but last time I checked this was our first time meeting." You have no particular opinion on Cohiba's cigars but this is the best you'll get at the moment. Beggars can't be choosers. "Thanks again."
Cyno ignored you both times and he was already by the door. "Please rest up. I've left some calzone, water, painkillers, and tissues for you on the table. Try not to leave the vicinity."
He exited the room.
You closed your eyes as your hand reached for your bleeding mouth. You're relatively unscathed from the incident, which means Cyno knows something about your "condition."
You chuckled.
Painkillers and tissues, huh? There's no better cure than that, and your time would run out before the world would find a better one.
—----
Cigars were not enough.
Inquisitor Cyno likely already knew that he can't keep you here for much longer, but he didn't do anything when you escaped. He did say "try not to leave" and not "do not leave", didn't he?
Cyno claimed his ears are sharp– so you guess he just didn't care at all.
As a result, you left your room and went for a walk around the neighborhood. That doesn't mean you can leave Sumeru City, but a stroll is always pleasant. The room Cyno offered was neither spacious nor cramped, but if you started digging holes in their ugly wallpaper, you doubt the church would take it lightly.
You staggered out of the chapel and entered the slums, reminding yourself that Dimitri is dead. You need to find someone worthy enough to become the next underboss. The church will not recognize you as the Capo without one, therefore they won't help rebuild the manor should you fail this task.
Hungry and out of breath, you leaned against the unscrubbed walls of an abandoned antique store, arms folded, taking in your surroundings. You were exhausted, arms sprawled against the wall.
The people behaved too jaded to be Natlan yet too reserved to be Snezhnaya– hence, you safely assumed that you were in the Avidya-Rainforest district. This place, despite lack of funds, was still under the church's watchful eye. A holy sanctum of sorts. This meant dealings are prohibited and no one would want to be caught with a glint in their eyes.
It's fascinating how much their cultures differ for a country as small as Teyvat. The same cannot be said for Khaenri'ah. Your compatriots have only known a capitalistic grind in search of an unattainable dream. A money-obsessed country does little to preserve its customs and culture. And you were the same empty machine till La Signora took you in.
You yawned while covering your mouth, appearing vulnerable.
But of course, you didn't charge into an unknown location unarmed. You knocked out one of the Inquisitor's soldiers and seized his pistol. "For security reasons", you'd argue. Once again, Cyno likely knew about that but didn't bother acting, again. You're too tired to judge his work approach, and you could barely keep your eyes open.
Till you caught a sliver of green pass you by.
"Oh! You smell funny. Are you the Capo, (Y/n) (L/n)?"
You lazily looked up.
"Umm, hello?"
You gazed down.
It's a kid. Hunger is starting to take its toll on you as you mistook her high pitch voice for an adult your size. The child, around age 5, had green hair and scraped knees.
You're certain that she wouldn't snitch about how you left your room unguarded.
"Need something?"
"Yeah, um, I just wanna say my condolences."
You ruffled her hair. "Thanks, bambini."
She beamed.
Sadly, the kid must've mistaken this as a go signal for her to continue talking. She balled her hand into a fist and nervously cheered for you.
"I-It'll be alright, Capo. You can always make new friends! I believe in you!"
"Hmm."
"I never thought I'd ever be able to make friends but I did last month! I also met my master that time and maybe I can share some of my good luck with you!"
"Hmm."
"Are… Are you listening?"
"J-Just a little fatigued." You stifled a yawn. "Why don't you play along with your new friends, little…"
"Oh, right! I'm Collei!"
"Little Collei." You coughed, and you skillfully wiped the blood away without her knowing. "Bambini, you shouldn't talk to people like me, it's dangerous. Why don't you run along and go back to your friends now?"
"Well, I can't yet because he told me not to because he's busy right now."
"Who told you that?"
Collei smiled widely.
"Professor Tighnari!"
You froze, slowly recalling your resolve.
It felt like the world froze for a brief moment as if the few people in the vicinity halted for you to catch up on what the little girl confessed.
"...Tighnari?"
"Hmm, hmm!"
"And you're close to him?" You muttered.
You'll kill everyone that fox ever loved.
Your fingers subconsciously slithered to your holster.
That's what you decided moments prior.
You glared down menacingly.
"Capo…?"
But a kid?
"... Is something wrong?"
You turned your apathetic gaze back at her. You're not even sure just how much this child meant to Tighnari. She might as well just be as insignificant as a pebble on a shore. But–
The gun you stole from the church guards is with you. It's light in your hands.
The light in your eyes dimmed.
"Hello?"
It has three bullets loaded.
There are only 2 other people outside the streets, both of which are teenage civilians. Taking her out would be as easy as–
"Hey, please cheer up!!!"
The child shook you, dragging you out of your trance. Little Collei appeared distressed because of your lack of reactions. You blinked a couple of times, making yourself mentally present, before pinching your forehead. Her lips are curled downward and her eyes match her cute frown, and you were grimly reminded of what you had tried to commit.
You cursed under your breath.
You're disappointed in yourself.
This is a child. A child of the church, no less. She likely had nothing to do with whatever it is Tighnari had planned.
"You're thinking of sad thoughts too, aren't you? Don't do that! You'll only feel bad–"
"Bambini."
"Yes?"
"How many friends do you have?"
"Oh. I have two!"
She cheerfully raised three fingers.
"I have two friends! Amber and Tighnari!!!"
Because of her clear enthusiasm, you refrained from correcting her hand. Instead, you patted her head with a heavy conscience.
But are you wrong for thinking this way?
An eye for an eye…
You knelt at her height.
Your strained smile reached her ignorant eyes. "That sounds wonderful. I have– I had two best friends too. Can I be your third friend?"
"Really?!"
"Of course. I think optimistic people like you are reeaaally cool!" You lied between your teeth.
And one kid's death won't satisfy a worthy tribute for your fallen men. One child is not enough.
You need to find more just like her.
"Hehe, thank you! But Amber's the coolest! I want to be like big sis Amber when I grow up!"
"Is that so? Well– I hope to hear more from you as you grow older. I'm sure you'll be the girl you always wanted to be, and I'd like to be your friend as you get there."
Collei awed.
"W-Wow, thank you! I've never gotten a compliment like that before too…"
The child never saw the sadness in your eyes, or maybe she mistook it as fondness. You continued patting her head as she melts in your touch. Fakely, you gave her a big smile.
"Then let's get to know each other." You grabbed her hands. "Why don't you show me around town, fratella?"
You can't kill this girl yet.
She nodded eagerly.
Not until you find out just how much this child means to Tighnari.
Besides, you didn't miss the flash of purple in the alleyways. Cyno was observing you from afar. You can't make haste.
You grabbed her hand.
You'll get your revenge, someday but not today, even if it arrives at your dying breath.
—----
Someone else is watching you. A second stalker.
It's not paranoia born out of the tragedy that occurred yesterday, but a fact.
As you were greeted by an angry Candace (Cyno's coworker) who gave you a firm yet fruitless sermon about leaving the parameters, you heard the bushes rattle by the gardens. You offhandedly mentioned it to her, and it placated her fury.
Candace agreed that she heard it as well, and she promises to take care of it as soon as you go back to confinement– "your room." Collei awkwardly bid you farewell and you promised you'll see her again in a few days. She probably thought that you were her new troublesome sibling. And speaking of troublesome…
Snatching the small glimpse of metal from the table, you pivoted your heels.
"You can't hide from me."
Masterfully, you hurled a butterknife and it landed just a few centimeters above the trespasser. He grunted almost inaudibly. Had you been any less precise that aim would've killed him, but the man had the guts to trust that you wouldn't be so foolish and kill him off without a proper interrogation. It's one of many reasons Tartaglia envies your dexterity and wit.
You glared. This man wore dark clothing yet his luminescent akasha terminal betrays any hope for a successful undercover mission. The stranger promptly calculated his response as you grabbed your remaining utensils. This time, you had a sharper blade in your arsenal.
"Speak."
"My name is Alhaitham. I'm an Akademiyan spy."
No shit. He's wearing an akasha terminal. What else could he be but a pain in the neck?
You laughed sardonically. "Oh my, a bold one, are we? Think you can take me down just because of my manor?"
"I'm not here to fight you– I'm here with a proposal, (Y/n)."
And he had the nerve not to address you as Capo.
The stranger didn't see you throw a fork in his direction until he heard the metal ring beside his ear. Some strands of his hair got caught between the points, yet he feigned an unphased disposition.
"Get out."
"Alhaitham" didn't listen. He knew you'd insist until you could drag his cold dead body into the garbage chute for Wednesday's pickup. So what did he do?
State his proposal anyways.
"I want to become Innamorati's next underboss."
Your grip on the knife loosened slightly. Alhaitham watched your serious face loosen up, but not in the reaction he hoped for. Instead, you laughed at him.
Him? Replacing Dimitri? Hilarious.
"Now that's comedy! What made you think I'll hire you? I don't know your face but I know your name."
You proudly grabbed a glass and poured yourself the wine Cyno bought that you previously insisted on not drinking.
"Ahh, this should be entertaining. Alhaitham– the Akademiya's slaved accountant. Maybe I would've taken you in if you didn't reveal that you're a spy. Would've enjoyed dragging you around till you're drained like hell. You know, if you already told me that you're here to spy on me you might as well spill who ordered you to do so."
"Khajeh." He replied immediately.
You drank half a glass. "Hah! Figured. Barely ran into any scholars but that old man is as nosy and obnoxious as they come."
"In addition, he gave me permission to try and apply as your next underboss."
"Keyword here is try."
"The Akademiya had been spying on you for a long time–"
"I know. I'm not dumb enough not to notice your men skulking around. They're practically built like an elementary school's skeletal model." You clicked your tongue.
"–But if you take me, I am at your full disposal. I will work simultaneously for the Akademiya and you, so I'd let you in on canned knowledge trades. I'm not as weak as the others. I've been a member of multiple training corps with exceptional gra–"
He stopped abruptly when you placed your glass down. It's empty.
Alhaitham met your gaze and silently noted your unamused expression.
You have never once tried getting into any supply of canned knowledge, but that doesn't mean you'd dive into this shady business after the opportunity presents itself pronto. You've seen how Dottore handles his wares, and you know how it functions similarly to heroin.
You're not letting your men go through the same addiction as you had before.
"Are you done?" You cut him off, clearly aware that he barely started with his fluffs. Realizing that all he had done was brag, he changed topics immediately.
"I know a lot of things about you, Capo." Alhaitham's lips quivered for a brief moment. "I'd dare say I found all the dirt I could find."
"Is that so…" You replied, rather uninterested. These buzzwords have always been around since the day you became Capo, not once had they piqued your interest.
"You killed La Signora to inherit her title. You announced that she died bravely against Khaenri'ahn soldiers, but it was you whom she dueled with– and now you have her authority and more."
You laughed, once again sounding wholly bored.
"Should've known Akademiyan freaks like you are into conspiracy theories." You replied in an attempt to seem like you care. You're not sure if it worked.
"You neither confirmed nor denied my statement."
Cause he's half-wrong. You're not a brute. If you want something done, then it must be swift. There's no way you could've won a match against your old Capo, everyone would agree with that.
It's much easier to kill her in her sleep and frame your fellow countryman's fault for everything.
"Do you need me to?"
There was no need for you to tell him that this information is useless. Many similar-sounding theories had spread during the first few months of acting as Innamorati's new Capo. Snezhnayans are very strict when it comes to blood relations, and they're not easily convinced when you told them that it was Rosalyne's final wish to instate you as their new leader.
It was partly thanks to Viktor that the familia grew to welcome you in. He had an apparent dislike for the old capo and when you promised he'd be off guard duties his mouth started rambling. Viktor's not one to shy away from leaking the information you puppeteered him to say. You've ensured many methodologies to spread a positive campaign about you, and people began naturally supporting your cause.
All done with minimum effort.
You smiled at him sweetly. Should Alhaitham attack your reputation, you have no doubt you have the capabilities in mending it quickly despite your situation. You're loved by the Church and most importantly the masses. Now that many of your men have passed, the public would view you as a staggering symbol of mourning. Poor (Y/n).
Alhaitham didn't react. Instead, his expression dimmed, more solemn this time.
"That's just the appetizer."
He continued.
"The truth is, you barely have 2 years left to live because of Eleazar, isn't that right, (N/n)? That's why you always act like you're running out of time."
Your eyes widened.
Now he's not half wrong. That's the whole truth.
You laughed again.
"Is that your best attempt at a death threat? Don't have specialized canned knowledge to teach you when to shut the fuck up?"
"I'd be happy to let you know that I'm not the only one who has conducted some… research, Capo." He digressed and walked closer. "Inquisitor Cyno, Professor Tighnari, and I know about it. It's quite a well-kept secret, really. You ought to be thankful."
Alhaitham pulled out a tissue from his pockets.
You squinted and paused.
Oh, no wonder. So that's how he came up with that conclusion.
"You've been coughing up blood way before you joined the mafia– and it's a miracle that no one noticed your weak constitution. None except the three of us, I mean." He continued. "I had someone from our forensics team inspect this, and I'm not surprised to hear that it's from you rather than your enemies."
"Then why."
"Why?"
"Why haven't you leaked this yet? Isn't this a good thing for you Akademiyans?"
Alhaitham smirked.
"I believe I should be the one to govern my actions– why else would I stalk these dilapidated rooftops?"
"Then how long have you known?"
"Trust me, the three of us knew longer than you'd imagine. I knew about your secret ever since you sold matchsticks for a living."
Your eyebrows furrowed.
"That was five years ago…"
"So? Doesn't change that you've been diagnosed for well over six years."
"I was barely anyone back then– I was just a beggar hustling on the streets– why make such an idiotic claim?" You rolled your eyes. "I've heard enough. Leave, while I still allow it."
Alhaitham's face softened.
"So you don't remember me…"
He handed you the tissue, and you reluctantly accepted it.
As your hands met, Alhaitham pulled you close to his chest. His face looked down on you, smug and condescending.
Alhaitham caressed your cheek, and then your lips. You flushed at the sudden contact and quickly tilted your dagger near his neck.
He whispered into your ear.
"What a delicate flower you are, tesoro. But I will not lie, you're far from youthful– you're wilting, and I loathe watching this all unfold from afar any longer."
The Akademiyan gently pushed your dagger away and kissed your wrist. Your eyes sharpened, hastily aiming for his neck but he swiftly changed trajectory. He knew this was just a reminder that he could die in your hands if you will it. Alhaitham is not blind. He saw the way you curved your hand at the last second to prevent a lethal blow.
He stood a few feet away, no longer at arm's length. Alhaitham pushed the curtains aside with one foot already out the window.
"I'll meet you again here, 6 AM sharp. Tell me whatever it is that you decide then." He said before confidently adding "I look forward to working with you soon, (N/n)."
In the same fashion he entered, he left the room quietly. Deciding that you don't care enough to watch him leave the premises, you locked the windows shut.
You sighed, exhausted, and pulled the curtains closed.
Life won't let you catch a break…
Now, what's your schedule for tomorrow?

Silly au idea
So you know how I came up with the idea of LDB reincarnating into Yuebei Xing in my "The Monkey King and the Infant" au?
I had a very silly/potientially adorable au idea that can fit into multiple fic ideas for the canon LMK verse >:)
Imagine this; The Lady Bone Demon has just been defeated. The heroes rejoice.
But her soul is still wandering.
Zipping towards the gang - who/what will the little icy soul be reborn as? Choose your adventure!:
Will it attach itself to the recently-reconcilled Sun Wukong and Macaque, becoming Yuebei Xing like in the au? Shadowpeach screaming ensues. (Yuebei/"Lunar Apogee" route)
Will it hit the closest human vessel - becoming the second unexpected child in Tang and Pigsy's lives? MK freaks out cus this means LBD will become his little sibling. (Bao/"Dumpling" route)
Will the unfrozen Demon Bull couple recognise the little soul flying around and jump to catch it - fufilling their desire for a second born? Red has many concerns. (Jīnzhēn/"Day-Lily" route)
The overzealous recently-revived Spider Gang jump to ensare the loose soul. The silk falling away to reveal a brand-new spider egg? Can includes developing Silktea and/or ToxicInsanity, and DesertSilk/VenomQueens shipping depending on whos minding the egg at the moment. (Shísuàn/"Spider-lily" route)
MK/Xiaotian, seeing the new soul as his responsibility, takes it upon himself? Literally. Including either no romance or developing Spicynoodles. (Yuèjì/"Chinese Rose" route)
Or...
All of the above occurs at once; the Underworld deeming the Bone Spirit's soul is better off being "split" multiple ways? ("Whoops" route)
Add in your ideas/thoughts >:3

I've only touched on this briefly, but the reason Tsukuyomi is Susanoo's shadow and their similar appearances is due to the theory that they're actually the same person.
-Tsukuyomi has a suspicious lack of appearances despite being such an important deity. This is actually one of the greatest mysteries in Japanese Mythology. Nobody knows what happened here.
-Tsukuyomi has way less shrines compared to Susanoo and Amaterasu, which gives the impression that he was actually introduced later than his siblings or was hidden for some reason.
-It's been pointed out that Susanoo doesn't follow the same naming convention as Amaterasu and Tsukuyomi, so this has led some to believe that Susanoo might've been a nickname for someone else. Amaterasu's name relates to the sun and can be translated as "Great Divinity Illuminating Heaven”. Tsukuyomi's name relates to the moon and means "moon-reading". Susanoo's name does not relate to storms nor the sea and instead means "wild or impetuous male".
-Tsukuyomi and Susanoo are both blamed for the death of the food goddess, Ukemochi. In the Nihongi, Amaterasu sends Tsukuyomi to a feast on her behalf and there he discovers that the goddess Ukemochi actually made all of the food there by spitting it up. Tsukuyomi becomes so disgusted and enraged that he hacked Ukemochi to pieces. This upsets Amaterasu and leads to their divorce, explaining the existence of night and day. It's also believed that Amaterasu actually sends Susanoo to the feast on her behalf. There is also a story from the Kojiki where, after Susanoo was banished from Takamagahara, he asks Ōgetsu-hime aka Ukemochi for some food. She complies and does so by creating food by spitting it up and defecating. Susanoo gets grossed out and believes she's trying to poison him, so he hacks her to pieces, similar to Tsukuyomi.
-Tsukuyomi's and Susanoo's realms also connect due to the gravity of the moon effecting the sea.
-Tsukuyomi and Susanoo both rule over the underworld in different interpretations.
The fact that Tsukuyomi is still treated as one of the Big 3 with Susanoo and Amaterasu, despite having so little going on compared to his siblings and just from the connection alone, is so interesting. He really is the middle sibling 🌞🌙⛈️.

OKAY PERCY JACKSON EPISODE 6 THOUGHTS (long post)
i was definitely a bit weary of the big changes: the fact that the summer solstice deadline passed and that percy gets 4 pearls. but after thinking about it for a while i think im actually okay with it!! first of all, its making the show interesting for book readers bc they caught me off guard and now we don’t 100% know how it’s going to play out lol
but also, i like that the deadline passing raises the stakes a bit more. the fact that percy still wants to go get the bolt from the underworld, just shows how committed he’s become to the actual goal of the quest and starting to embrace his demigod side. and it’s going to make his trip to olympus at the end so much riskier & dangerous considering a whole war is literally about to start. so im okay with this
and then the 4 pearls: i still don’t think they’re going to be able to take sally with them out of the underworld. something is definitely going to happen to 1 of the pearls, it’s going to get lost in the chaos of them making it to hades’ palace or SOMETHING because a big part of the prophecy is “fail to save what matters most in the end”. they have to leave sally behind and i think it’s going to be so much more heartbreaking that percy HAD 4 pearls and HAD the chance to save his mom but they lost 1 along the way so then they’ll have to make the tough decision and TRULY fail to save what matters most… bc in the book it’s not even really an option since he only gets 3 pearls
obviously i could be wrong about that lol but i don’t think there’s any way they don’t leave sally behind because she’s not there on the beach when they’re about to fight ares, which is where they are directly after the underworld (unless they’ve switched the order around but idk how that would work)
other than that I LOVED EVERYTHING with the trio, the bestieism continues and i love it. you can really see the shift in percy and annabeth’s dynamic after the last episode it’s so cute. the little grover and percy moments were so sweet too, their convos felt RIGHT out of the books to me. also MORE SEAWEED BRAIN AND WISE GIRL!!!
LOVE the dream sequence bc it felt so book accurate, we do get a lot of percy witnessing other people’s convos through his dreams and this is the first time we’ve seen it in the show, it was great
luke immediately jumping at the chance to blame clarisse for stealing the bolt in the iris message lol im laughing
more luke/annabeth sibling set up AND hermes and may and luke backstory set up??? i was NOT expecting that so early on but im deeply obsessed
the whole hermes situation was also great… i can’t believe it but i liked LMM’s performance?? i think he sold it really well. again im so excited to be getting these convos about hermes and luke so early on because it is such a key part to the end of the series.
the conversation with percy and the nereid and the way percy reacts to thinking the quest failed??? the way he refuses to give up?? the nereid saying they all see so much of poseidon in him??? i’m unwell
crying at annabeth pick pocketing hermes, the literal god of thieves, that’s my girl fr
the entire cab driving sequence was just so funny. peak comedy, and brought some lightheartedness to the episode that i think was very needed. the new yorker in percy really came out in that scene lmao
there was just SO MANY hilarious moments of dialogue and jokes between the trio i feel like this episode captured the essence of their dynamic from the books so well
overall LOVED it, wish it was longer, and i’m curious to see how they finish it off in the next 2 episodes. i’m trying my best to hold back the criticism for any changes until we’ve seen the whole season, because i think most complaints people have from this ep will probably just be fixed or addressed in the next 2 lol

slowly amassing a list of duo, group, & ship nicknames in the fandom. mostly because pjo is one of the few fandoms i've been in where any alternative duo/group/ship names are used with extreme infrequency. literally the only ones i've seen used with much frequency are the perjasico alt name that stopped being used back in like 2016 (which has apparently been more recently replaced with "Little 3" or "Little Big 3" which is cute) and the duo name "Underworld Siblings," the latter of which is ironic because i swear it used to be "Death Sibs" and i have no idea when people switched over and now i'm the only person who still uses it.
anyways i have a small list but if people would like, feel free to drop other alternative riordanverse duo/group/ship names in the comments and i will collect them

ellie... may I please know more about Chaos or the pixies? 🥺 pleaseeeee 🥺
of course my love!! <3 sorry it got so long ehe 👉👈
The pixies live in a pixie-specific dorm (which is basically a large birdhouse that Sheela and Huxley built) since they're all very close and tend to stick together as a pack. The ones you've met already are a group of six, but there's more pixies on campus if you know where to look. They aren't necessarily students, but aren't necessarily staff either; pixies tend to hole up wherever they fancy, and since they're quite rare and one of very few monster species that aren't governed by anyone but themselves, they're allowed to come and go as they please. Plus, they're considered to be good luck by most, so even their mischief is tolerated to a high degree since it's considered just part of their nature. They're usually pretty docile but since your arrival they've gotten.....more active than usual.
See, pixies have a long history with humans, but due to the current state of the monster-human world and the scarcity of the pixies themselves, they rarely if ever get to interact with humans like their ancestors did. It's one of the reasons that faeries, a sub-species of the pixie grouping, are so rare too nowadays--faeries are almost always born from a pixie-human union, so despite their long lifespans the race of faeries is slowly dying off. So the pixie girls on campus are eager to find ways to get close to you, partly because they're absolutely fascinated with humans...and partly because they'd like to recruit you, such a nice and pretty human, to make nice and pretty faerie babies that will revive their population! <3 Pixies are creatures of ecstasy though, and they can get easily distracted, so needless to say they might need a little time to get around to that while they're busy messing around with you and figuring out what you like. But lucky for you, pixie dust is a very potent aphrodisiac for humanoids--and lucky for them, they're small and sprightly enough to get under your clothes even while you're in the middle of class, just to give you a little pep boost for the day ♡
Chaos is a household curse and very well-known in myth, but very, very few have ever had the displeasure of meeting him in person and lived to tell about it. Chaos is one of the last and oldest titans known to both gods and man, imprisoned in The Pits in the deepest, darkest area of the Underworld for thousands upon thousands of years. Aside from being an immortal god whose actions are impossible to predict, Chaos was imprisoned for eternity for the crime of murdering the old gods who once ruled over the Holy and Unholy lands. Although many believe his treason was borne out of nothing more than a destructive, rageful urge and acted upon by impulse, scholars have uncovered many old tomes and ancient texts penned by godly scribes about Chaos' life as a free god; including the snatches of records that indicate that Chaos once had a lover and home he was wholly devoted to. Although the general public tends to prefer the simpler ideology of Chaos being an unpredictably evil god punished by the forces of good, it's been well-established in record that Chaos' story is much more...elaborate than that, and it roughly follows as such.
Eons prior to common memory Chaos once walked the earth as divinity in human form, freshly separated from his sibling Creation where they once were inseparable. Feeling a sense of dread and loneliness at walking the world alone that he helped shape, Chaos wandered until he stumbled upon a treasure in the sands of a beach; a pearl nestled safely inside a rugged oyster, perfectly shaped and smooth and cool to the touch. New to such a natural wonder and unable to resist the pull of a prize that had manifested without his or Creation's influence, Chaos claimed the pearl and carried it up the mountains he had made his home to the highest peak. There, he held out the polished treasure that he had kept so safe and warm to the sun, and with the radiance of the holy lands shining down a spirit sprung from the pearl! The glow of the holy lands spun that spirit into human form out of its light, and with the pearl nestled safely in the crest of their newly-beating heart, a new divinity entered the world; Eden, the first valkyrie of the gods and the first creation made from both earth, heaven, and underworld influence.
At first sight Chaos fell to his knees and wept, his loneliness forgotten, and he grew deeply infatuated upon the first touch of their hands as Eden helped him to his feet. The two were soon lovers and built a home for themselves, happy and content with their simple lives, until the old gods called Eden back to attend to their duties as a valkyrie. They were forced to fight the battles of the old gods and would return to their husband Chaos broken and exhausted, but never able to refuse the will of their deities who had given them life and love, and never without a smile on their face for him and him alone. Eventually the old gods demanded Eden's permanent return to the heavens and were stoutly refused, thus in petty retaliation they subdued Chaos and murdered his beloved spouse as punishment, stripping their immortality from them and casting their body into The Pits to suffer for the couple's shared act of defiance. And in a grievous rage, Chaos broke his shackles and rampaged through both the Holy Lands and the Underworld, slaughtering the old gods and each and every divinity that served them until he grew tired and slow from his injuries. In that moment of weakness the remaining deities cast him into The Pits to be sealed away forever and never return to the surface, destined to be bound by chains and tortured for all eternity as penance in a contract bound forevermore.
But as he wandered there, small and alone once again, he discovered a treasure--the pearl that once served as the heart of his beloved Eden, still warm but cracked and chipped from wear as it lay within their broken body. As the gates to The Pits closed for eternity, Chaos tearfully wrenched it from their breast, held his pearl aloft and begged one last time for mercy, not for him who would accept his suffering but for his paradise not yet lost. And just as his fate was sealed, the pearl was plucked from his hands and spirited far, far away from the Underworld; dropped into the vast ocean of the earth and sunk to the very bottom like a stone, Eden's restless spirit tugging at their shape to search vainly for their fallen husband. With time they settled in exhaustion, and for millennia they were left in the deep, dark coldness of the sea, the water and grit and current polishing them down, down, down until they became nothing but a handful of stardust glittering amongst the waves. And when time came, Creation returned to their side after rescuing them from death and scooped up what remained of Eden in their hands, lifted their palms to their lips, and blew that glittering stardust gently into a cloud that swirled and bound itself into a soul borne anew. With all but the smallest drop of immortal ichor remaining in their veins, Eden the valkyrie was rebirthed and given new life, all but that one drop and the same form they took remaining.
Some say that it was Creation's gift to their fallen brother who still endured endless torture in The Pits, growing larger century after century as his titan blood boils in rage and agony, his chains growing with him yet The Pits themselves eventually growing small in comparison to his enormity. Although close followers of Creation insist that their craft takes form regardless of any personal desire, as Creation itself is a god void of nearly all emotion. Either way, Eden supposedly walks the world in present day, void of memories of their past life and of their dear husband, of the life they once dreamed of and lived together in harmony. Some rumour that Chaos' eyes that were stolen long ago during his enchainment was to eliminate the possibility of him recognizing his newly-reincarnated spouse, for if he ever knew for certain that they live there would be no force that would keep him locked away a moment longer. But were they to be recovered and returned, if Eden themselves were to find their way back to the husband they never knew they lost, the world would undoubtedly witness the return of the most feared, most villainized god from myth and fairy tale alike, and would see firsthand the unbridled ecstasy and arrogance of Chaos claiming for good what he was willing to blight all existence for.
