eddie doesn't really get the super bowl. he doesn't get sports in general, but the way steve and wayne get heated and all shout-y and excited makes eddie's belly all warm and fuzzy, seeing the two people he loves most bond over something they both enjoy. he doesn't join in but wayne and steve are okay with that, because they get to watch eddie do the same exact thing during the puppy bowl.

there's absolutely nothin' wrong with living in a trailer or trailer park, wayne insists. eddie agrees and can't see himself living in anything else. he grew up in a trailer and by god he'll die in one too (hopefully not until he's at least in his 80s the next go around)

Ed Repka

I think that Ed and Stede will have 2 reunion scenes in season 2.

The first, will be towards the start/middle of the season. Ed will still be “the kraken”, grease paint on the eyes, 9 guns and all. Stede will try to apologize (perhaps naïvely thinking one apology and grand romantic gesture will be enough to win Ed back over after abandoning him) but Ed won’t hear it / doesn’t believe him. It will be sad and angsty (maybe even violent) and they will somehow or another be separated once again.

The second reunion will be after Ed’s crew had mutinied on him and tossed him overboard. He ends up washed up on some island, where he runs into his old captain, Hornigold. Whether Hornigold is actually there or is just a figment of Ed’s imagination, I don’t know. But either way, I think Ed will work through some shit (emotionally) while he’s marooned on that island so that when we do see him and Stede reunite once again at the end of the season, it will be a happy one.

The original version of the Anpanman Taisou song makes me emotional for some reason, idk why....

Having read and appreciated your latest FMA fic on team greed, what are you thoughts on Heinkel and Darius as characters? And not saying this is up your alley, but how would you feel on them as a couple post-canon or during the later events?

I love them! I think the appeal of Team Greed fics is exploring these four (five?) getting used to each other, because we see them when they first start working together and then skip ahead several months and the dynamic shifts somewhat! I like that at first, they're like "this Ed kid is fucking annoying but at least he isn't Kimblee and I guess he saved our lives so we owe him" and then by the end, they seem to genuinely get along as a team! they might bug each other (like Darius and Heinkel getting on Ed's case about being rude to his dad) but they check in on each other during fights and I think Ed has grown on them by that point lol he does that. he's like a moss.

also one of my favorite scenes is their first fight with Ed because the dynamite thing gets me so bad. I love that they know the ingredients to dynamite. they could've just been meathead hired muscle kind of guys, but instead they follow along Ed's chemistry quiz until they realize what he's about to do to them lmao

I also really enjoy that the two pairs of chimeras introduced in the north have different perspectives on being chimeras, and neither perspective is presented as better or worse than the other! Zampano and Jerso really want to get their human bodies back, so they work with Al towards that goal (I love them debating alchemy theory in the manga, they're the best), meanwhile Darius and Heinkel are like "nah our chimera bodies are pretty cool actually, we wanna stay like this" and that's treated as just as valid. actually, as I type this, I'm realizing that makes them kinda reflect their respective Elric brothers -- Al desperately wants his human body back, while Ed is less concerned with his own missing limbs and is more practical about it, and neither perspective is better or worse, it just depends on their circumstances

also I am a big fan of Darius and Heinkel being a couple :] middle-aged bear4bear rights

i really hate people who are like “I NEED someone to ship in this media or I’m not going to be invested in it” especially when their solution is to just start shipping the characters who are literally family, blood related and everything. also saying you cannot get into something unless you have characters to ship is so like idk, pathetic for lack of a better word (I’m half asleep sorry), how are y’all at your grown age refusing to watch or read shit because “there’s no characters I can ship together :(“ absurd
