#my advice #but this saying is sooo true #i know some people at uni who study for exam so long and hard but then fail or just barely make it :(#like what are you doing? i don't mean this in a mean way but it doesn't have to be this difficult #i don't understand how some people can study for an exam for 2 weeks or even a month and still fail and i don't think they're stupid #or i don't see myself as particulary smart #but i guess they just waste their time a lot and i realized studying effective is so important #now everyone is a bit different and has to find what works best for them but there are certain techniques which are proven to work well #there is so much information on the internet on this look it up seriously #it made my life sm easier i never struggled in uni like i did in school and i get good grades #and if i ever struggled a bit it was because i started so late it was almost impossible to pass 😂#which is why to do both is still best 😂#but i actually always made it and i never failed an exam at uni (which i studied for)#(two i was fooled into to just try without studying bc it's easy lol)#i mean i shouldn't speak too soon but i already made it through some of the most difficult of my studies #ofc it depends on what you study how well this works but i'm speaking for myself #i once passed an exam with a B studying only 2 days as one of the best students while others studied 2 weeks #and got worse grades or failed #still studying only 2 days is stupidity don't do it 😅#so the techniques i find very helpful are ofc exam questions probably the best one #if there are none make your own #then blurting for which there are different ways but i like to just go over a topic and then write down everything i remember #then fill the gaps #quizlet is also great it's an app which allows you to create cards and then tests you in creative ways #videos can be helpful as well for summaries and using summaries in general is normally enough it saves you sm time #normally you don't actually need to know everything but you should be careful it's not a bad summary leaving out too much 😅#and i also like mindmaps bc i'm a very visual person #but all those tipps are mostly for remembering information so it doesn't work so well for other fields of study #well i hope this is somewhat helpful idk 🙈#oh and reading texts over and over again is the most useless in my opinion i don't remember much at all and it takes sm time

oh what a wonderful morning to realize you might actually have learning and mental health issues and that you need to start writing your bachelor thesis today without any help whatsoever because all therapists at uni are busy (although there were like 3 of them free every day for your previous 2 years of study) and the ones outside of school are even busier

#like honestly i mean it #i literally cannot start i want to have it finished so badly but i cannot for the love of everything that is dear to me start #i currently use two calendars and one checklist to remember and prioritize the stuff happening in my life #in a desperate attempt to motivate myself i bought myself cute whale stickers to award myself for even the smallest achievements #after two weeks of relative silence and peace i find myself once again overwhelmed by loud background noises #i've been trying to get to at least one school therapist since december and since then i managed to fail two classes just because i could-#not follow through with my essays #i am a fucking disaster and i'm scared that if i don't find anyone soon i could fail in the final months of my studies #fuck.#like i'm trying self-help through psychology books i find in the school library but #yeah...#*at the school library?#screams

Didn't get the job I interviewed for last week

What a shocker

#literally the only interview ive gotten since I started searching for jobs again #at this rate im gonna have to get a job at the local grocery store and quit my current job #because i can't handle the BS there much longer and im not paid nearly enough #im just so fuckin tired and done and its like #how much more do i need on my resume before im considered qualified for an entry level position???#i have two fuckin degrees and i make less than 15k a year lmao #im so fuckin sick of it all #i hate how my inability to even warrant an interview 99% of the time makes me feel like a failing waste of space and a burden on my family #it feels like ive gone nowhere but in circles this last decade #except ive got chronic illnesses and more debt now #fuckin hell #fox thoughts #fox is tired #fox is job hunting #i don't have the energy to put out application after application only to get one response for every 25 applications #like ive seen people be like i applied to over 500 jobs in the last 6 months and i finally landed my dream job! just keep trying!#like fuck off #for one thing im lucky to find 5 full-time job openings in two months in my field #i CANT apply to 500 jobs #also i just. cant. i cant ok? i don't have the energy or endurance or fortitude or anything like that to apply that many times #and be met with 479 lack of responses and 21 interviews to get a single offer #something something something the corporate society in the Murderbot diaries #were people sell themselves to corporations to work until they die as slaves #is already fuckin here ok #fuck #gonna go stare into the distance and listen to ASR again and try not to cry

ohh I am worried my new meds (yes the ones that give me a funny eyebrow twitch. that mostly stopped now) actually are sort of working. “worried” bc my insurance doesn’t really cover them and the ones I’ve been taking are my psych handing me a full months’ worth of free samples

#we checked and the copay would be like $400 #she said if the meds work we’ll figure something out and she’ll try to give me samples as long as possible #appreciable affects have been i no longer am like sleeping a dozen hours a day (i sleep Human Amount now) + stopped overeating #and i have juuust enough ‘less’ anxiety to have enabled me to sort some important shit out and break one of my worst habits #which is being so comically avoidant of perceived rejection or confrontation that i sabotage myself needlessly for months or YEARS #i managed to have long overdue interpersonal convos and do career related outreach i’d been avoiding forever #and i hope it’s a trend. i overthink everything and its unthinkable to just. be open to failure or rejection and embrace whatever happens #and it’s about time i finally could !!#‘if i fuck up and fail i’ll DIE. better just sleep for ever instead’ no !!! stop that !! fucking do the thing! if they get mad they get mad #anyway idk it’s not just the meds i think the good weather is helping #so hooopefully…….i won’t…get a month or two of effective meds and then have to stop and become catatonically depressed again
