Bella knew today would be different, it just felt different for her. So on a good day like today she decided to go shopping. She spent a good hour or two in the mall looking around when this overwhelming scent filled her nose. It wasn’t the fresh baked pretzels being displayed nor the fresh cookies either. This scent was different it smelled like sweet blood. She could’ve almost when feral right then and there. She looked and looked around to see if she could pinpoint the pleasant scent but it was becoming too much so she made her way to the bathroom to calm down.

But it became much worse, she stared in the mirror gripping the sink deciding to rinse her face with water. While drying it with a paper towel she looked up to see you walking out of the stall fixing your skirt. You noticed her and gave her a quick smile while heading to washyour hands.

“You alright?” You asked being polite, Bella just nodded unable to give a verbal response. You smiled again leaving on your way out.

It was you. You were what she was attracted to, Carlisle warned her about this, about meeting her mate. She didn’t want to lose you so she followed you. Was it creepy? Yes a little but she couldn’t stay away.

While shopping for a new summer dress you spotted her again peaking from behind a rack and gave her a confused look. So you walked over “can I help you?” You asked trying to sound semi nice. To be honest you were a little creeped out.

“I- I just wanted to say you’re very pretty” you raised your eyebrows in shock letting all your hostile energy go.

“O-oh well thank you” you smiled as you shyly avoided eye contact “your very pretty as well.” Bella smiled at your compliment tucking her hair behind her ear.

“I know this is a little awkward but could I possibly- get your number?” You were again shocked but agreed.

“I’ll text you later?” She said in a question tone and you just nodded.
