Vox?
I. Am assuming this is for HCs????? This is. Very vague omg
Vox Hcs!!
Includes past Radiostatic/current one sided radiostatic. Current Voxval as well
Vox has to turn on Subway Surfers to one half of his face to get Val to pay attention to long conversations
He misses having hair so he does Velvettes for her
Chronically horny </3
He loves animals. So much. He had the hardest time when Angel moved out and took Fat Nuggets with him
Hes not a good person, but he generally does care about some people. He would die for Valentino and Velvette, the two of them are his whole world.
He was the one to invite Velvette into the Vees.
He secretly believes that redemption is possible. He doesn't care to help with the cause at all, but he does think it can happen.
He and Alastor were together for the better half of three decades. They were engaged, even.
He has A LOT of raw power. He climbed the ranks to be an overlord VERY fast.
His old box tv head was very heavy and he had THE HARDEST TIME keeping himself upright with that thing.
He loves Val very very much, but his feelings for Alastor will never be gone.
The day Al broke things off with him was generally the worst day of his entire existence.
Lets Velvette play fashion designer games on his face/screen
Is actually SO. DAMN. CLUMSEY.
He sleeps flat on his face
Adhd (thats it thats the hc)
He and Val sometimes model for Velvette. They enjoy it
Whenever he gets sick, Val and Vel call it a "virus" and it drives him nuts
Hes a cuddle bug! He loves physical affection from the other Vees, but he has a hard time seeking it out.
He gives cheek and forehead kisses to Velvette but it looks really weird because of his face being a TV
When he's asleep/zones out his face plays Roku City
He was SO CONFUSED when he woke up in hell as a TV
He doesn't give a flying fuck about the souls he owns. He doesn't treat them bad because he generally forgets that they exist.
Has a small army of Quieves (those little bug-dog-things that Fizz has in Helluva, for those of you who didn't know)
I take HC requests!!

Pay-Per-View
Based (loosely) on a phone call I got at my work, but basically, the gang finds out Ghost still pays for cable porn instead of literally any other option. I understand that in the uk, cable porn is different but I've tried to get a straight answer on how it works and came up blank so I'm working with what I know
It was either this or werewolf porn and I finished this first. Pure crack.
"Wow, you actually still have a cable box?" Alejandro asked as he glanced at the clunky box attached to the tv. The 141, Alex, Farah, Alejandro and Rodolfo had come over to his flat. They had all been invited by Price and somehow, someway, they ended up at Ghost's house instead of Price's flat. He knew it was because Price had a flat and Ghost had inherited a house, but still.
"Yes." Ghost continued to make tea. "I'll eventually set up that stick thing you guys got me, but I'm rarely here."
Alejandro frowned at him. "Giant flat screen and you watch cable? Really? You have internet, I could set it up for you right now?"
Ghost shrugged and Alejandro quickly started to set it up. Alex stood by to help, as they tried to figure out how to unhook the cable box to set up the Roku they bought him.
They turned on the tv and moans filled the entire flat. The two men on the screen were looking into each other's eyes with the amount of passion that only really showed up in porn.
"I told you that you belong with me." The 'top' character growled and rocked into the person underneath them. He was big and tattooed, holding the smaller man underneath him by his wrists.
"Yes, sir." A soft whine came from the person underneath. He threw his head back to expose his throat.
Alex scrambled to change the channel as Alejandro started to wheeze. "YOU PAY FOR FUCKING PAY-PER-VIEW?"
"Where else would i get porn?" Ghost didn't seemed bothered at all despite the mortified looks of a few people. "I have a flat screen. I want to use it."
Alejandro was still wheezing as Alex finally managed to pause it. "It's three fucking hours?? Do you jack off the whole time?"
"...Yeah?"
Rodolfo cleared his throat. "So! Dinner plans?"
"How do you not finish?" Gaz ignored him trying to tactfully get away from the situation.
Ghost frowned. "I just stop, wait a minute and keep going?? Same thing you do during sex?"
Gaz looked flabbergasted. "That's not normal."
Price tried to talk louder to get everyone's attention. "So, Rodolfo, dinner plans you were saying?"
"Fuck you mean not normal?" Ghost scoffed. "Can't a man relax in his own home? Sometimes a bloke wants to take it slow."
Alejandro asked. "What do you light candles? Put on some classical music?"
There was just a bit too long of a pause before Ghost said, "No."
"Oh my god. Oh my god." Alex covered his face. "I don't want to envision this."
Soap interrupted. "Classical music? Really?"
"Sometimes I put on jazz."
Soap nodded and got out his phone.
Farah hummed. "Alex, we have pay per view on our cable. You've used it."
"I have not!" Alex blushed.
Farah frowned. "When you click on the porn channels on tv, I pay for those."
Alex stared at her. "I don't use those."
"...Alex. I've caught you using them. Please do not patronize me."
Ghost raised his hand at Alex. "See, Ale."
"Don't ever pronounce my nickname like that again."
Ghost sighed. "Dinner plans?"
Soap hummed. "So what porn do you like?"
"Are we seriously doing this?" Gaz asked.
Ghost frowned. "So dinner plans?"
They shelfed the conversation for later.

YOUR BRIAN QUINN X READER ONESHOT WAS SO GOOD, HELLO?? Anyways, I was wondering if it was possibly to do a Q x Gender Neutral reader? Nothing fancy but maybe and established relationship and some fluff y'know?
THANK YOU????? OMG?????????? Anyway I think I'm gonna try to write in a more Gender Neutral friendly way anyway for one shots, everyone deserves to fantasize about their celebrity crushes <3 Hope y'all enjoy!!
Movie Night (Brian “Q” Quinn x GN!Reader)
Tumblr media
Summary: Q is late from filming. Again. But you could never stay mad at him, it's almost impossible. Slight angst-ish??? But overall fluff!
As I finish washing the dishes, I can't help but shut the door to the dishwasher with a swift thud, causing some of the dishes inside to rattle. My lungs fill slowly then release the air in huff as I look at the clock to the microwave: 11:23 pm. I can feel my heart drop with every minute that passes across the face of every clock in our house. Q was late, again. But this time, it hurt just a little bit more. For the past month, Brian’s been staying later on set, whether it was to catch up on busy work or to simply squeeze in some quality time with his friends. At first, I really didn’t mind; I knew what I signed up for when it came to dating someone who has their own tv show. However, one hour late becomes three hours late and I end up waiting by the phone in bed for a “coming home” text from him. He still cares, I know that at least. There’s been a lot of morning coffee talks about my feelings and I know he had his full attention on me and my new worries. He suggested that the next night he’ll get home as soon as he can and we can have a cozy movie night in. It was such a simple idea but I couldn’t help but feel a comfort wash over me. I had set up our living room with warm blankets, lavender scented candles and popcorn that’s lost its heat. The screen of our TV was on a selection of movies I picked out for the night, but it’s been replaced with the scrolling Roku cityscape. Now as I find myself trying to distract myself with any busy work in the house, the soft fuzzies I had for this plan have been replaced with anger. Before I was about to pull out a broom from our pantry to start sweeping, I heard the locks of the door move around. Most days this was music to my ears but right now it was nails on a chalkboard. I wait for the door to open then close behind him; I don’t need the neighbors to hear me chew this man out. “You are…” I glance at the clock on the microwave again and do some mental math before continuing my sentence. “Three hours and 30 minutes late, give or take.” I inform him, my voice calm but laced with ice. I close the door to the pantry and start to walk toward the entryway, my tone shifting to release the pent up frustration from the hours. “Really, Brian, I get you work hard and can’t always text me but you can’t-”
As I turn the corner to look at him, the first thing that catches my eyes are the flowers. They’re classic roses, a flower I enjoy because it’s safe for our cats. The next thing I see is the plastic bag in his other hand, stacks of styrofoam boxes inside. I recognized the smell instantly as one of my favorites from a local restaurant nearby Q and I had our first date at. There was a second bag, this one from the grocery store down the street; I could see from the top of it a bag of one of my favorite sweets and a pint of ice cream clinging to the bottom of the bag. Brian’s face is what I noticed last, and it nearly broke my heart. His eyebrows were together and his eyes filled with anxiety. The confidence he usually carries about him is dissipated, as if it was gone for the season. I didn’t want to immediately forgive him, but seeing him so worried about receiving my disapproval almost made all of my anger vanish.
“Baby, I know.” Q finally manages to find his words. “I’m late, but I promise I didn’t mean it. I really wanted to get home on time but the producers were up my ass about some final details for the season.” He walks towards me, as if he’s holding out his hand to pet a snarling dog. I didn’t let my expression soften yet; I wanted to see just how much he was willing to put into this little apology.“You couldn’t call?” I ask, finding an excuse to let my anger be for more than nothing for a second longer. My eyes try to stay off the gifts, not wanting to put my guard down just yet. “I wanted to, I promise. But once I realized I was still there at 9 I couldn’t think of anything but rushing around to get ya all this.” His broad shoulders raise, motioning to everything in his arms. I can’t help but imagine myself there instead. “I guess trying to make it up to you worsened the damage, I’m sorry. He notices me looking at the ground, avoiding his eye contact. His confidence was returning; he knew I didn’t want to be mad at him, and he knew exactly how to fix it. He gently lays the bags onto the ground and walks over to me, placing the bouquet onto the end table next to us. His arms now vacant, Q’s places his hands onto my cheeks, gently tilting my head up to meet his. His eyes had that special glimmer of softness to them, one I’ve only noticed when he looks at me. I pursed my lips slightly, trying to keep a serious nature to my face, but the mask was slipping. And he knows it. A small smirk creeps up onto his face, his facial hair framing his smile perfectly. At times like this, I hated how gorgeous his eyes were. “I’ll let you pick the movie.” he teases, his lips forming a real smile. I can’t fight the gentle smile that appears on my face as he leans down to give me a gentle kiss onto my forehead. My hands snake their way around Q’s waist and I tilt my head up to place a chaste kiss onto Q’s cheek, a white flag in this battle that’s only transpired in my head. “You’re too good at diffusing my anger, you know that?” I ask, moving one of my hands to his face, the fuzz of his beard scraping against my palm. He smiles back at me. “I hate seeing you angry with me, Sweetheart, I gotta do what I can to fix it.” He breaks away from our embrace and grabs the bags he carried into our home. “Look, you go relax in our living room that you worked so hard to make all cozy and I’ll get these roses in a vase for you and get our dinner situated, don’t you do another chore, baby!” I smile at him walking to our couch and sit down, getting myself comfortable with the blankets and pillows. I watch as Q puts the ice cream away and fills a vase with water, looking at his phone from time to time about how to properly prepare flowers for a vase. Watching him try so hard to salvage this night made every angry thought I had 30 minutes ago seem so irrational. I wondered how I could ever be angry at the man who fills my heart with so much adoration and makes my world more colorful. In about 5 minutes, he shuffles into our living room area placing down the containers of our dinner onto the glass coffee table and lays a couple bags of snacks on the floor by our feet. From muscle memory, I cuddle into him putting my head onto his chest and then feel his arm wrap around my shoulders. He gives me a kiss on the top of my head as I take in his scent and I couldn’t describe it as any more than just “home”.
At this moment, I understand now that I wasn’t mad at Q, I was really having withdrawal symptoms of him. Getting my fix of my beloved set everything right in my world, and it felt as if anger wasn’t a feeling, but a distant memory.

'Exchange With Me...꒰ᐢ. .ᐢ꒱₊˚⊹ ft. Pavitr Prabhakar
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
...‧₊˚❀༉‧₊˚.
Ingredients: sugar, kisses, and a lil bit of smiles!
TWs: Makeout, Implied that you're not rlly supposed to be kissing pav?
A/N: reader has an unlabelled relationship with pav?
part 2 to 'exchange with me'! You're gonna need to read that first bae lol
Tumblr media
It had been 9 months since you gave Pav a tour of Brooklyn, showing him all the hidden hole-in-the-walls and best places to go to get food. As he spent more time around you and your mom, he polished his English in a fascinating amount of time and became more social than before. Admittedly, there were some awkward little bumps in the road regarding you being his 'host', and the occasional lingering stare or two. Or maybe it was how your hugs got tighter...or how your hands tangled themselves together almost every time you were within a foot of each other. But that came with the close proximity and comfortability levels! Shit, you shared the same bathroom, learning the hard way to always shower with the shower curtain fully closed.
These were normal experiences for two people living under the same roof! It came with the package of having a 'stranger' in your house, so you weren't bothered by anything, really. "Pavi, can you pass me the remote?" You asked as flopped down on the couch, hoisted your left leg across the entire couch, and slumped down as comfortably as possible. Pavitr side-eyed you, looking your slouched form up and down before sporting a playful scowl. "Oh, word? So you come into MY HOUSE. USE MY COCONUT OIL-" You began, tone increasing in volume as you laughed with each syllable. "AAAH, I SAID I WAS SORRY!" He yelped, immediately handing you the remote with a loud laugh and an apologetic smile.
"And move over you're taking up the whole room" He joked, picking you up like you weighed nothing and placing you further to the right. "Damn, what the fuck?! You lift?" You gasped. You stared at him with pure shock, and yeah he did have a 'strong' physique, but it was nothing over the top that screamed 'I can casually lift a 122-pound girl with one arm and a tiny bit of willpower'. “Uhh…I guess!” He smiled, immediately returning his attention to the TV without another word and urging you to pick a show. Odd, but that’s fine!
"So what we watchin'? The news, Netflix, random show?" You inquired while surfing through the many applications on the Roku box. "Uhhh...Something random I don't mind" Pav shrugged, throwing the cream-colored couch blanket across his body and fidgeting with his headband. You clicked the random button, watching as 'We Lost Our Human' began to illuminate the dark living room. You weren't really watching the show, instead, you put mini blue butterfly clips in your twin afro puffs while holding a conversation with Pav about different types of food and seltzers, working up an appetite in the process. "D'you wanna go make food? I got like...some ingredients up in the fridge." You shrugged, straightening your posture before scrolling through your phone for an easy recipe.
"Yeah, this show isn't really...that entertaining." Pav shrugged, immediately raising himself up from the couch as he loomed over your phone screen to see what was nearby. "I can make us some soup though!" Pav beamed as he eagerly ran into the kitchen, grabbing various vegetables and herbs, and getting to work immediately. You sat next to the stove on top of the counter, watching his beautiful knife work as he finely chopped up 4 onions. You lifted your knees to your chest, fluffy grippy socks hanging onto the marbled counter as you stared inside the big red pot he currently had on the stove, muttering a tiny "What you bouta make?" Pav smiled to himself, keeping his eyes on his cutting board as while he spoke, "French onion soup! I saw the recipe on TikTok and I wanted to try making it!"
Your eyes widened in amazement and shock, tilting your head to the side. "You can do that?" You asked, watching as he replicated a recipe from absolute memory. He nodded, tossing butter, salt, pepper and a little bit of a maggi cube into the pot along with the onions. You watched the pot intently, letting the gorgeous aroma of aromatics and onions invade your senses while Pavitr watched you. "You're very pretty" Pav blurted, putting his knife down on the cutting board, leaning his head on his hands and admiring your angelic features.
You muttered a bashful 'thank you', beckoning him to come closer before you began making little braids in his hair. There was no noise other than the quiet sizzle of the caramelizing onions, and your synced heartbeats. You ran your hands down his face, cupping his cheeks in your palms and giving them a small squeeze before placing a gentle kiss on his forehead. Pav giggled, cute little canines poking out of his grin as he snapped his eyes shut at the ticklish sensation. He mirrored your action, kissing your 'third eye' and pecking at the tip of your nose.
You spent the next 15 minutes in the kitchen, consistently checking on the slow-cooked onions and bantering back and forth. It was adorable. The atmosphere was full of that warm and fuzzy 'home' sensation and somehow felt like the world around you didn't exist outside of the blissful comfort of the kitchen. You helped him the rest of the way with the soup, adding the beef broth and red cooking wine to the mix and letting the pot simmer for an hour or so. Pav suddenly broke the silence as he peered over the lid, watching the condensation cloud the glass cover.
It was peaceful, and that's how you liked your humble home to stay. There was no real confirmation, and you liked it like that for the most part. While things were slightly more complicated due to you being Pav's host, that didn't necessarily stop you two from wrapping your arms around each other and coating your faces in small kisses. This time was different though. Your hands were loosely wrapped around his neck while his hands found purchase on the small of your back. There was a consistent rhythm and pattern to the kiss that you found yourselves trapped in. The soup was long forgotten on the stove as you giggled into each other's mouths like children.
"I think I'm gonna stay in Brooklyn!"
"Pav I think you should check on the soup."
"OH!"

New-old life!!! Looking forward to a productive year of research in my office at Harvard’s Warren Center, where I’ll be finishing my book under contract with Princeton University Press.
Shipped three boxes of books to my office. Also set it up with my office creature comforts: monitor, laptop stand, yoga ball seat cushion, timer, timed lock box (to lock up my phone), my classic bike pedal (the Wang is going nowhere fast!)… plus the ultimate office essential: MUJI pens.
Tumblr media
Can’t tell you how many hours I’ve clocked reading poetry in the Woodberry Poetry Room 💜 I’ve missed this serene temple to verse.
Tumblr media
Brought my beloved Indian block print blanket with me. Making my bed is truly a pleasure since I got this beauty… it was the first thing I unpacked. As long as I have this blanket I will always make my bed.
My dear poet friend Chris Spaide left his Roku TV with me for the year. I’ve never had a TV before but already have hooked it up to my USC Kanopy account, which has a robust offering bc of USC’s top-ranked film school. Between that and the Harvard Film Archive it will be a film bonanza this year!!

Just a general tip in the wake of all this conversation about HBO and streaming services and Owning Things:
Physical media is inherently temporary because it can be DAMAGED and is often of LOWER QUALITY.
First, DVDs only allow for standard definition, which is better than most VHS and in the 2000s allowed for better color display and better image quality (you could watch a show and it would look exactly the same as it did during the live broadcast), but every TV now is going to be at least 1080p high definition, if not 4K, and is also going to feature lesser quality sound than most movies or TV episodes released in the last ten years. If you’ve got an archive of a show that hasn’t been remastered for streaming (like ATLA or Star Trek: Voyager) then a DVD is going to display the file basically exactly as it would on your computer or phone screen. Sometimes this is a good thing - movies and TV from before 2010ish were mostly mastered for standard definition, and were intended to be seen that way (The Lord of the Rings was mastered for standard definition and that’s one reason why a lot of the CGI effects look very obviously fake in the HD and 4K upscales while others look fine). Other times this isn’t good - movies and shows filmed on digital HD cameras are going to look less good in standard definition DVD resolution.
The other thing to keep in mind is that CDs and DVDs can be scratched and damaged from repeated use, especially if they’re heavily played. I have DVDs and CDs that are 20+ years old that can’t be played because of severe scratches, and the files that are on them can’t even be ripped to a computer because the laser can’t read the disc. If you are not keeping a digital file, and are instead only using it to make a DVD, you’re only going to have that file for as long as your DVD works, which could be two decades or could be one year. Same with CDs, which scratch a lot faster especially if you’ve got a favorite song on the album. You’ve also got to store discs properly, in specialized cases or sleeves that will keep them from collecting dust, and in a climate controlled space.
The much more future-proof long-term solution is DRM free digital files, in mp4 or mkv. Both of those can incorporate subtitles (hard coded or soft) and they’re popular enough that Roku Media Player or a smart TV can play them. Also, digital files can be organized into a Plex library and then streamed from your local hard drive to any device in the house with a Plex app. They can be played over and over with no problems and converted into new and better/more common file formats as time passes and different digital storage becomes the norm.
Make a library of all your favorite shows! Preserve the media you love! But remember that a digital collection will age better, and also, a single flash drive or hard drive is WAY easier to store than a giant cloth bound zippered case that weighs like 5 pounds, or boxes and boxes of discs in sleeves.

Just what the Grue-Crew ordered (or maybe just Crystal), killer puppets!!! Charles Band and the merry band of misfits – Blade, Jester, Pinhead, Tunneler, Leech Woman, Shredder Khan, and Gengie – scream and slice for airtime in this first entry in the Puppet Master series. Originally intended for a summer theatrical release, the film skipped wide audiences for the booming direct-to-video market… and became an instant franchise, spawning 14 sequels and crossovers… and counting.
At the time of this writing, Puppet Master is available for streaming from the Full Moon Channel, Peacock, Shudder, and Tubi as well as PPV from Amazon and Redbox. The film is available on physical media in Blu-ray format as a stand-alone disc or as part of various boxed sets from Full Moon Entertainment.
Every two weeks, Gruesome Magazine’s Decades of Horror 1980s podcast will cover another horror film from the 1980s. The next episode’s film, chosen by Chad, will be The Beast Within (1982). It should be interesting when the Grue-Crew go talkabout with this one.
Please let them know how they’re doing! They want to hear from you – the coolest, grooviest fans – so leave them a message or comment on the Gruesome Magazine Youtube channel, on the Gruesome Magazine website, or email the Decades of Horror 1980s podcast hosts at [email protected].

Objectively, You’re Awesome (Library Boys, 31/?)
Jensen has his interview with the Middletown Library’s Board of Directors at 10:00 am, and Jared knows he’s freaking out. He’s doing it over Zoom, and he’ll be able to type answers to their questions, but Jensen’s worried that the Board won’t like doing it that way, and they’ll pass him up for someone who did a normal interview.
“I don’t think you have anything to worry about,” Jared tries to assure him. Jensen’s sitting on the couch, still in his pajamas, drinking a cup of hot tea that Jared made for him. “I can’t believe there’s anyone who applied who’s more qualified and has more experience than you. I feel like we would know about someone like that.”
Jensen nods, but he doesn’t look convinced. Jared pats his knee. “Just be yourself. You got this. You are absolutely the best person for the job—just be confident and show them what you’ve got.”
Jensen picks up the dry-erase board. I know you’re right, he writes. I just need this so badly. He shows it to Jared and then erases it to have more room to write. I don’t want to seem desperate.
“Look, you’re one hell of a librarian. You’re a great supervisor, you have excellent people skills, and you have extensive experience in crisis management,” says Jared. “You’ve got what they need and then some. So just tell them that.”
Jensen nods. Jared takes a sip of his own coffee and eats the other half of a bagel he toasted earlier. “You need something to eat. Do you want oatmeal or scrambled eggs?”
Jensen writes oatmeal, please on the board. Jared goes out into the kitchen and makes Jensen some instant brown sugar cinnamon oatmeal. He slices a banana and puts it on top, then feeds the end to Max, who’s just waking up. Jared gives Jensen the bowl and then takes Max out on his leash. He plans to walk Max around the complex while Jensen’s doing his interview so Jensen won’t be distracted, so he takes Max in after just a few minutes.
Jensen eats slowly, and after fifteen minutes he’s finished half the oatmeal and all of the banana slices. He hands the bowl to Jared, indicating that he’s done. Jared isn’t happy—Jensen needs to eat to keep his strength up. But he knows Jensen’s too wired to eat, so he lets it go. He scrapes it out in the kitchen and rinses it off before popping it in the dishwasher. He’s so grateful to live in a house with a dishwasher now. His old apartment didn’t have one, and he hated washing dishes by hand. Now he occasionally washes a skillet or saucepan, but most other stuff goes in the dishwasher, and it saves him so much time.
There’s still about an hour before Jensen has to log into Zoom, so Jared picks up the TV remote. “You want to listen to the new ‘You’re Wrong About’ podcast?”
Jensen nods. Jared pulls up Spotify on the Roku box and chooses the new episode, which appears to be part 2 of 3. It’s about the book Go Ask Alice, which Jared has heard of but didn’t know a lot about before the first podcast. Jensen knew more about it because it had been a topic in one of his library science classes due to its unique and oft-changed classification within the Library of Congress catalogue. It was originally categorized as nonfiction despite actually being fictional, but that controversy hasn’t come up yet.
They have to turn it off during the conclusion because Jensen has to log in for his interview. Jared hugs Jensen and gives him a short, sweet kiss. “Good luck. Not that you need it. You got this.”
Jensen nods and takes a deep breath. Jared goes and gets Max leashed up and ready to go. He passes by Jensen and squeezes his shoulder. “I love you. Kick it in the ass.”
Jensen logs into Zoom on his laptop and mouths “I love you” to Jared. Jared blows him a kiss and heads out the front door with Max.
The complex isn’t that big, but the whole thing is one big hill. Jared takes Max up the hill to the stop sign and lets him sniff around behind the condos at that end. Then they go down the hill and around the cul-de-sac, where they encounter two tiny terriers. Max startles when they both start barking furiously at him. Jared quickly guides Max across the street to the mailboxes and kneels down beside him. He pets him and speaks softly to him until the terriers go on their way down to Presidents Drive. Jared takes Max back up the hill and around the dead end until he spots the terriers going back into their townhouse. Then he takes Max back down around the condos next to theirs. He checks his watch. It’s been about 25 minutes, so he probably needs to stay out another 20 minutes or so to be safe. He takes Max all the way down the Presidents Drive hill and back up. Luckily, they don’t meet any other dogs.
Jensen has his laptop closed when Jared and Max enter the house. “How did it go?” asks Jared.
Jensen responds with a thumbs-up and a smile. It’s not his thousand watt special, but it’s encouraging.
Jared gives Max a treat and lets him slurp up some water. “I knew you could do it,” Jared tells Jensen. “I’m glad it went well.”
Jensen writes on the board. They said they should decide next week.
“Good, that means you won’t have to wait too long.” Jared sits down next to Jensen on the couch and puts his arm around his shoulders. “They’d have to be crazy to pass you up.”
Jensen grins and erases the board. You’re biased.
“I can be objective,” protests Jared. “And objectively, you’re fucking awesome.”
Jensen leans up and kisses Jared. “Thank you,” he whispers.
“You’re welcome,” Jared replies, and kisses him again, short and sweet.
