WHY DID YOU CHANGE THE MESSAGES? IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH NEW USERS.

These changes are just hostile and sad? It looks like twitter dude. Its ugly and drab and the edges are sharp and bright.

Its hard to read and worse to look at.

I cant tell who Im messaging cause the name plate isnt contrasting enough to see and their icon no longer shows up.

This is going to weird out new users but MORE IMPORTANTLY its going to make your CURRENT clientele pissed enough to usw mods on the site.

Which a lot of the time YOU can make money from. Once reblogs are gone I'm going to be a strictly desktop user as theirs no way in hell I'll be using tumblr like that on my phone.

Is anyone having trouble with receiving tumblr messages? My phone doesn't vibrate for messages & I'm getting no pop-ups. I only know if I've received messages, I should actually physically go into the app. Then I've got a message that was sent two to three hours ago.

The app doesn't need updating. Notifications are on. Is anyone else having issues?

Did tumblr chat change for anyone only on one of their accounts? On this one I have this super ugly new layout, but on my newer blog made this year I still have the old look. The only difference is that I had tumblr labs on, but even after switching it off I have the new ugly chat.

Tumblr is just insanely buggy now. My messages dont show up, the app is lagging hard, online status isnt accurate. Like staff is taking revenge for us letting Tumblr live flop

weird question about tumblr - is there a max number of messages that the inbox holds, like does it fill up at 100?

I actually wondered about this for a few years, but it doesn't seem like the Tumblr inbox has a maximum capacity.

If it does, it's definitely more than 100 messages, as you can see from looking at my inbox:
