Magical Banners: Claim one for your Spellcasters or Medieval Sims now! These eight different banners are the perfect adornment for your castle, giving your Sims a magical beast to claim as the symbol of their family.

These are the latest in my series of Hogwarts Legacy textures into Sims items. For this week, I altered an EA mesh and reconstructed its texture to fit the first half of the banners, then altered the second half of the textures to fit the mesh. I particularly like the Unicorn one, though it was the one that I had to make the most alterations to in the end.

Base Game Compatible. Comes in 8 swatches.

this isn't a bachelor challenge, more like stardew valley?? where there's townies that populate chestnut ridge and have the potential to form relationships with amaya and karlee!

rules under the cut! :D

please be aware that i will change some skin details to match my style (mainly default skin and eyes. i also use 2D lashes).

cc is allowed; maxis-mix/match (no alpha hair), 1 outfit per category.

i use the 5 traits mod so you're welcome to choose 5 traits.

your submissions can be a family, single parent, or just one sim. they could have pets/horses. they could have likes/dislikes, and jobs too! (or made up ones for storytelling purposes).

no occults please

if you're submitting a sim as a prospective partner, i'd prefer if they were young adults.

amaya (she/they) is nonbinary and pansexual, karlee (she/her) is demisexual.

private or public download, whichever you prefer :D tag me if you decide to submit a sim

as of right now, there is no deadline for this or limit to the number of sims i'll take, but this could change.

Okay, so! Smoke&Mirrors (and Conundrum too) will continue, but right now I can't concentrate because of work and mental health. So! I'm just being silly in a save file that takes place AFTER the events of S&M. The story follows Alika, Aodh and Grantaire who risk everything to start a band. But things got crazy because well, it's the Sims. That being said:

HOW DOES MAGIC WORKS IN THIS UNIVERSE?

This topic will be exclusively about spellcasters and mermaids. This is because for me they are in the same "category" thanks to the awesome mod mermaid expanded that makes mermaids sea witches!

Magic finds its root in the three kinds we all know and love: Mischief, Practical and Untamed. For decades the Sages tried to protect the realm's stability by using magic in the "right" way. However, after the events of Smoke&Mirrors, Spellcasters started to experiment with magic once again making it flourish like it was centuries ago. Now, how does it work?

The new magic comes from one or more of the big three every spellcaster start learning the "base", it's like learning a language to write your own book. So it's something like this:

The possiblities are pretty much endless.

WHAT ABOUT MERMAIDS?

Known as sea witches, their magic remains lost in time. Even when Ebenezer was young (about 150 years ago), they had only a glimpse of mermaids, so you could imagine the Sages' surprise when they found one! The most amusing part is that Mermaids are usually born as such, so the Realm has a lot to catch up with. Since they control water and emotions, their magic could be called untamed and mischief-related, but that would be an understatement. There are still a lot to learn about them.

Transcript & Context:

Leilani: Oh Maliah…it happened again didn’t it? Mailiah: L-Leilani? Where is Bryce?

Leilani: Don’t worry about him, can you sit up? But Bryce, you freaked him out! As soon as he saw those scales on your arms, he knew what was going on and carried you here to me.

Maliah: I really owe him an explanation, I can’t believe that I fainted at work again. By any chance do you have any kelp with you?

Leilani: He’s getting ready to get some, there’s none at home. But hopefully there be some kelp at the store or somewhere. Maliah: Ahh that’s a relief! Thank you so much Leilani!

Robbie: Renee…what is kwelp? Renee: Shh Robbie! I can’t hear them!

Context: For my gameplay, kelp for mermaids is similar to plasma for vampires. When the energy or hunger is low, signs of being a mermaid show like scales on the skin, so kelp can be included into their diets, to fulfil the needs (or hide identity for some). And I've not mentioned this, but everyone in the conservationist career knows each other, therefore Leilani is friends with Maliah. Also since Leilani was born in Sulani, she knows the existence of mermaids - it's no surprise and is very common. Bryce is informed and is aware of a lot of information (he is a marine biologist) however has never encountered one. When he first found out he couldn't believe it! The kids? They are too young...
