is it normal for the game to take about 40 mins to load?
i have a 2-3 year old gaming laptop so that’s not an issue but obv heavy CC like most of us here lol.

ok so i’ve read about SSD which shortens the loading times. does anybody have it + how does it work? do i need to re-install the game onto SSD or just move the game files? and does it matter what SSD it is? sorry i’m such a noob, thank you!!!

#YEEHAW????#like don't get me wrong i'm not thinking 'oh this is the thing that's going to fix everything and make the game fun!'#i've long said i think the true problems with ts4 are on a foundational level with the game itself#and you can only patch so many holes when the boat starts underwater#HOWEVER i do think this could HELP#and ALSO it's VERY ENCOURAGING to me to see this kind of change made#bc it's another one of those things that shows that the sims team is at least TRYING#that they are in fact listening to players and trying to incorporate feedback#and trying to improve things to make a game ppl want to play#which gives me some hope for future titles#like FEARS?? fears have been an abondened function for two titled now! and they're bringing them back!#because of player demand!!#maybe they're even seeing the influx of ppl being interested in and actively playing ts2#and taking cues from that#idk maybe i'm being naive but i'm really encouraged by this#...ahhh son of a bitch i'm gonna have to go through and purge all my whims mods. dammit.#that's gonna be a pain in the ass#personal grumblings

What’s your favorite Sims death?
None, I never let my sims die anymore because I get too attached to them 😂
Alpha CC or Maxis Match?
I prefer Maxis Match, but I don't mind throwing in a bit of Alpha here and there.
Do you cheat your sims weight?
I've only ever made one of my female sims less buff, but she proceeded to get very buff again so I just left her.
Do you move objects?
Yes, but mainly just decorations and things like that.
Favorite Mod?
I don't really play as much anymore, so it's hard for me to tell but I definitely cannot live without NRaas Mods and LD's Smooth Patch that's for sure.
First Expansion/Game Pack/Stuff Pack?
Probably the first EP that I actually wanted was either Generations or Pets, because my mom already had other ones that I wasn't interested in enough to remember (definitely Late Night though, I do remember one time randomly turning one of my mom's families all into vampires when I was like 7 or 8 😂).
Do you pronounce live mode like aLIVE or LIVing?
aLIVE.
Who’s your favorite sim that you’ve made?
My most favorite would be Mari Martinez, who was a gen 3 sim from my old legacy save from a couple years ago that I happened to really like. She went through a few changes though 👀

I do love this family right above as well though, I used to play them a lot before and occasionally now 😄

I have, my profile pic is actually supposed to be me and my dalmatian dog Disney (who's passed on now). It doesn't really look like me at all though because my sim making skills are pretty bad and even the hair color is too light but you get the general look 😅
Which is your favorite EA hair color?
I've always preferred brown hair, but I like any hair color.

I like a lot of hairs, I don't know which one to choose from.
Favorite life stage?
Young adult and toddler stage 😄
Are you a builder or are you in it for the gameplay?
I'm actually more in it for the creation of mods hehe, but I do like to just sit and play sometimes, especially in TS2, and I do love building houses but mostly in TS2 as well because it does get a bit frustrating with TS3 and how laggy it can get with the create-a-style tool.

I've made a few things here and there, so I guess so!
Do you have any Simblr friends or a Sim Squad?
I have a couple friends, there's definitely a lot of lovely people here as well and if anyone wants to be my friend I'm open to it 😊

I did once upon a time, it was mostly just me sharing my process of creating animations but I kind of just left it.
How has your “Sims style” changed throughout your years of playing?
When I first started playing probably over a decade ago I just used to create couples and make them have like 5 kids, then kick the kids out when they reached adults then make the couple have more kids and the cycle pretty much never ended 😂
Then I started to play more legacies and tried challenges, but as always I got too attached to my sims and I couldn't continue them.
Then I got into making mods and so here I am, I don't really actually play much anymore.
Who’s your favorite CC creator?
I love most of the stuff from @xiasimla, @sim-songs, @johziii, @nectar-cellar and a few others.
How long have you had Simblr?
I think 2 years now? I just used to lurk around and download CC at first but then I decided I wanted to post my things here too 😄
How do you edit your pictures?
Sometimes I don't edit them, but if I do I use Photoshop to enhance the vibrance and add in a bit of depth of field. Though I've finally gotten reshade to work now so I probably won't edit them anymore.
What expansion/ gamepack is your favorite?
My favorites are Generations, Pets, Seasons, Island Paradise and Master Suite Stuff.
I'm sure most people have already done this but if you haven't then I'll tag you! 😄

Hi I was wondering if you have any tips to optimise ts2??
hi nonners! i'm reading optimise as in make the game work smoother/better? sorry, weird day, feel free to correct me if i got it wrong! tbh my game has been unbelievably smooth lately and i'm kinda scared that saying that will jinx it, but here goes. hope it helps!
i use sims 2 rpc launcher with the included 4gb patch, i don't use the higher quality lot impostors as i've found that it bogs way too much memory for not much improvement (i never find myself taking pictures where the other neighboring lots aren't blurred due to reshade)
use graphics rules maker to recognize your graphics card. i also use it to force memory size estimate to be higher, following @/anachronisims tips (i recommend following them for some cool posts on optimization!). i currently have mine set to 13268 and it's been doing good
i have the whole suite of anti corruption mods, which i'm not going to link here but should be easy to find a guide on. if corruption is an issue take some time to set all objects.packages to read only, i recommend april black's excellent video on the issue
i usually delete my caches between opening my game, but this post by @/anachronisims has me questioning my practices. will update when i test it out
in the last couple of months i've been making sure that neighbors and decorations are off when loading into a lot. i reenable it when i've loaded into the lot, and disable/reenable everytime i go from lot to lot. @/anachronisims has summarized this really well here.
every once in a while i make sure to run the compressiorizer on my downloads (not my mods) and merge files. @/eleysims has a great post summarizing their process that i recommend as a starting point. personally, i've had success merging my object textures even if it includes masters and repo'd textures, i just never merge meshes. i also have merged my hair textures, haven't tried merging clothes textures yet, but will attempt doing so in the future.

My TS4 packs wishlist for 2024
(in no particular order)
Supermarket Stuff Pack, with an active career as a cashier and compatibility with Get to Work
Get to School Game Pack, with finally an education system for kids, a daycare career like in TS3, and more different activities for kids.
Dating Game Pack, something with a more in-depth relationship system/attraction.
Dine Out Refresh, long overdue but a patch to fix it for good and adding all the new reciepes/drinks to the menu, and some up-to-date items.
French Destination Game Pack, I would love something inspired by France. Not because it's my country, but also because its so versatile here and there's so much to explore.
Nigerian/Ivory Coast or Kenyan Destination Game Pack. I think Africa deserves to be represented in the game also. Please, do it, and do it well!
Retirement Home Stuff Pack, please, more things for elders!
New Life Stage : Tweens. Teens look so much like adults that its annoying.. Or, at least, do a patch to make them smaller by default. There's mods for it and they work fine so, I don't see the reason why Teens look like Adults. Back in 2024, they were so much alike that it was so weird and it led to unethical situations... Anyway.
Painting Room Kits/Museum Refresh. I love painting and drawing so please, more items around this hobby would be so good. Drawing on tables for Kids... without mod!
Hoobies Game Pack. I loved this pack in TS2, it was so entertaining that its a big miss we do not have something similar after 10 years with TS4. More instruments, new dancing style...
More animals and refreshing the Veterinarian career to include horses! It was a big miss during the launch of Horse Ranch that we didn't have the possibility to expand our Vet Clinic to horses for those who own Cats & Dogs. Also, I would love to have monkeys and parrots. For those who used to have pets in TS2, do you remember having pets making a career? I used to have like a lot of pets and never worked because they bring all the cash, lmao.
New activities for infants/Patch for Infants. (I do not need to add details as everyone has the same opinion).
Pool Stuff Pack, with slides and more activities.
Park Kit. Well... We need more things to make parks realistic without the help of modders. Please, release something to add more to this lot venue.

hi! i am VERY sorry for a long message like this if it's just a stupid error on my end, but i can't seem to find any solution nowhere else, so i thought i'd ask you! feel free to just ignore it!
i finally got sims 2 solely because i found out about your pelican town hood and i MIGHT be doing something wrong as a new player, cause i absolutely cannot get it to work... i did follow the instalation instructions, but after selecting the hood, every time i try to load it something different happens and the game either freezes or crashes. sometimes the hood won't load at all and there's just a grey screen, sometimes it will freeze on a m&g stuff window with lots missing in the background, sometimes the textures will go all back and slowly die, sometimes it will just terminate right away. i got the hood to load once, but it crashed immediately after choosing a family. i tried to take mods out, generate a new sims 2 folder, the 4GB patch thing... at some point i tried downloading a previous version and it did load, but crashed after a minute while just looking around the map. and i can't figure it out. other hoods work just fine, including the custom ones, but this one simply will not, which is frustrating, cause it looks so well done and i was so excited to play in it :(
again, i'm very sorry if it's either some beginner error or it's just a me problem, but i am determined to get it to work, cause the hood just looks so good!
Hi, I'm sorry that the hood is not working for you :( Unfortunately, I don't really have any tips more for you despite the install instructions, my replies to previous asks and googling for common ts2 crashing fixes etc.
You receiving so many different errors is strange and makes it hard to pinpoint the problem. Maybe it has something to do with your setup or system, but it's also pretty likely that I made some mistakes when creating the hood, as it was the first ever custom hood I uploaded and I know from others who also had similar trouble getting it to load.
Sorry I can't be of much help here... But your ask got me inspired to pick up working on the CC-free hood version again. Maybe that version will make it easier for some folks to play the hood.

in these days I've seen a lot of people using @socialbunny bodyshop default rooms, I was very tempted to use them too because I realized that I never use Bodyshop except for export and import sims and I found it really sad! (Lets be honest, this is a out of the game CAS, it's super cool, why don't use it??) So I used @celestialspritz guide here because I'm an idiot and I had no idea how to install many things and... I'm loving it terribly.
Unfortunately it still crashes after I try to look at many ccs, I tried to install the 4GB patch on BS too but the only thing that has changed is that now BS opens immediately, whereas before it took a long time for the icon to even appear!
Now I would also like to try install ReShade but honestly I feel a little intimidated by that file that I have to add to make it work (I remember that I did the same thing to make ReShade work on TS2 but I didn't have to edit the file, so I feel a little panicked ;;)
Besides the room (I still have to decide which one to use, they are all beautiful), I really love the lighting mods available and I know I will go crazy to choose even just one of those ;;
The funny thing about the screenshots with the black screen is that that isn't a background that I installed, but it's literally just a glitch (in fact if I tried to change zoom glitched icons appeared) but I took advantage of the glitch 💀 (only the gray background is a background which I added)

Komplette Liste aller Sims 2 Mods, die ich aktuell installiert habe. Alle aufgelisteten Mods funktionieren mit der Ultimate Collection und die Liste wird immer wieder aktualisiert, falls etwas Neues dazukommt :)
Ich habe die Mods in 4 Kategorien aufgeteilt:

Gameplay-Mods

Verkürzt die Semester an der Universität, es gibt drei verschiedene Optionen: 24, 36 oder 38 Stunden.
- Elders Sleep Through The Night Patch (SleepLatOFB)
Erlaubt es Senioren, die Nacht durchzuschlafen, statt ständig aufzuwachen.
- Eat More Talk Less
Sims konzentrieren sich mehr aufs Essen und unterhalten sich weniger. Außerdem reduziert der Mod auch die Chance, dass der Sim zu viel isst.
- Call NPCs
Sims können jetzt NPCs (wie zB Heimwerker) anrufen. Ansonsten geht das nicht, weil diese Sims laut dem Spiel kein Telefon besitzen. Sehr praktisch bei der Partnersuche! ;)
- Community Time Project
Wenn Sims auf einem Gemeinschaftsgrundstück sind, merkt sich das Spiel, wann sie wieder nachhause fahren. Wenn man dann das Heimatgrundstück wieder lädt, kommt der Sim auch erst zu der entsprechenden Uhrzeit wieder nach Hause.
Vorsicht: Nicht an der Universität oder im Urlaub benutzen, den Mod in diesem Fall zeitweise aus dem Spielordner entfernen.
- More Sleep
Sims können nachts immer schlafen geschickt werden, auch wenn eigentlich nicht müde genug sind.
- Put your Homework away properly (Desk Locator)
Fügt dem Spiel ein Objekt (Bilderrahmen) hinzu, mit dem man Sims eigene Schreibtische zuweisen kann. Diese Sims werden ihre Hausaufgaben dann immer auf dem entsprechenden Schreibtisch ablegen.
- Desk Locator for University
Erweitert den Desk Locator Mod, damit er dieselbe Funktion an der Uni erfüllt. Dafür müssen beide Mods installiert sein.
- Same Energy Gain for Every Bed
Sims können ihr Energiebedürfnis mit allen Betten gleich schnell auffüllen.
- Marriage Last Name Chooser
Wenn zwei Sims heiraten, erscheint ein Dialog, in dem man den gemeinsamen Nachnamen auswählen kann.
- Word & Bring Home Friend Dialog
Wenn Sims Kollegen mit nachhause bringen wollen, erscheint erst ein Dialog, in dem man auswählen kann, ob man das möchte.
- Dinner for 8
Wenn Sims ein Gericht servieren, besteht dieses nun aus 8 statt nur 6 Portionen.
- No Baby Harassment
Sims beschäftigen sich nicht mehr ständig automatisch mit Babys.
- No Rod Humble
Rod Humble wird nicht mehr jedes Mal auftauchen, wenn man eine neue Familie irgenwo einziehen lässt. Bedeutet aber auch, dass man keinen PC mehr umsonst bekommt.
- Level Numbers Added to Job Titles
Sorgt dafür, dass euch das Spiel anzeigt, auf welchem Joblevel euer Sim sich befindet.
- Uni Major Revamp – Realistic Major to Career Linking
Ordnet Studiengänge die entsprechenden Karrieren zu (zB Musikkarriere zu Kunst, oder Journalismus zu Literatur). Außerdem gibt es jetzt mehr Karrieren, bei denen ein Uniabschluss obligatorisch ist (zB Medizin)
- Invisible Driveway
Fügt den Stellplätzen im Spiel eine unsichtbare Option hinzu, damit man stattdessen einfach passenden Boden verlegen kann.
- Novel Writing Progress
Das Spiel zeigt jetzt an, wie weit der Roman deines Sims schon fortgeschritten ist.
- Baby Bottle Default Replacement
Babyflasche enthält jetzt weiße Flüssigkeit statt grüne.
- Simply Leftovers
Sims können Essenreste jetzt entweder als einzelne Portionen (single plates) oder komplett in den Kühlschrank räumen. So können sich Sims danach auch nur Einzelportonen herausnehmen und nicht immer gleich alles.
- Smart Beds
Sims schlafen automatisch in ihrem eigenen Bett statt in irgendeinem.
- Gigantic Townie Name Replacement Mod
Fügt dem Spiel neue Namen hinzu, die ab der Installation neu generierten NPCs zugewiesen werden. Bereits vorhandene Sims werden davon nicht beeinflusst.

I was tagged in a few things but I’ve sort of forgotten to do them. This one was from @phoebe-twiddle thank you for the tag ♥
1. What’s your favourite sims death?
I would rather all my sims die of old age, tbh. But I really do like the cowplant death (feed your enemy to the plant and use it to lengthen your own life?? amazing). Also I’ve never experienced the murphy bed death, that’d be fun to see!
2. Alpha CC or Maxis Match?
I’m somewhere between mm and realistic. I love good grunge cc and I have a soft spot for photoskinned jeans, but I also love crunchy bright mm hair colors and I try to use maxis items as often as I can.
3. Do you cheat when your sims gain weight?
No way. The sim either loses the weight themselves or embraces it. However my playing style is very systematic, which means that sims do certain things in certain order during the day, and they rarely do gain weight. Also, talking about this feels a little icky.
4. Do you use move objects?
You can’t even place modular stairs next to a wall without moveobjects, so yeah.
5. Favorite mod?
hmmmmm I don’t think I could live without the first born syndrome fix that’s included in Lazy Duchess’ RPC launcher. I could go fully without mods but you’d have to tear fbs fix from my cold dead hands.
6. First expansion/game/stuff pack you got?
The first expansion pack I got was the House Party exp for TS1. However my base game was the deluxe edition which also had Livin’ Large. And I followed the same pattern with TS2 - Nightlife was the first one I just had to get.
7. Do you pronounce “live mode” like aLIVE or LIVing?
Alive. You’d call it “Living mode” if you were to pronounce it like that, wouldn’t you?
8. Who’s your favorite sim that you’ve made?

I like the og black, red and brown. In general I don’t like too yellowish blonde hair, but then again....... I just posted a pic of Greta with yellow hair. So. Yeah.

Does the gorgeous store hair count? The one that I used for Babette Black? I have no idea what it’s called :’)
I also really like aline, shorttuckin, and caesar (especially the mtf version).
13. Favorite life stage?
Adult, no question about it.

I spend a lot of time building, but I still prefer live mode gameplay. Currently building is burning me out so I try to focus on gameplay.

Not a creator but I’ve done some tiny things for myself :)

To be honest...... I don’t think my style has changed all that much. If anything I’m slowly reverting back to my old habits. Here’s a post about this I made.... three years ago.

I got Reshade not long ago so now I only crop the pictures before posting. Makes things so much easier and faster. More time for playing.

So… I have some news.
After over a decade of service, my old PC finally bit the dust. It died unexpectedly — one moment I was playing Dragon Age: Inquisition, and the next moment, boom! Dead to the world. Highly unfortunate at the time, but not surprising given its age. RIP, ancient pc.
That was a couple months ago. Fast forward to today, and my new pc is here and working and already has TS2 installed on it. It was the second game I installed, and the primary game that’s been on my mind ever since I purchased my new rig. I’m not kitten when I tell you I have a document full of ideas for the new neighborhood I’m going to be playing with. I’m very excited about it, but that’s all I’m gonna say about it for meow. 👀
My biggest concern was getting TS2 to work on Windows 11 — and good news, it does! 4GB Patch, my beloved. 💜
My second concern… building a new downloads folder from scratch.
Now, I do have my hard drive from ancient pc saved, so I can (theoretically) access my old files. It’s not lost! But my previous Downloads folder was kind of a hot mess, so I’m taking this opportunity to rebuild and restructure it. It’s just a matter of finding and redownloading… everything…
(pain.)
But it’s fine! I’m gonna take it one step at a time, starting with mods and default replacements.
I’m just happy I get to play TS2 again. 💜

unstoppable force (my want to do saga things again) meets immovable object (everything related to ea and just ts4 as a game)
i think i’ll wait for the new ep to drop and for the modding scene to stabilize itself before i install ts4 and see how it plays out from there. i’ve been having a load of fun lately with ts2, octopath traveler (haven’t got the 2nd yet and won’t until next month, but i really want to fuck around with the demo before then). i’ve also been playing overland on the switch and want to get into outward bc it seems like the sort of gaming experience i will enjoy.
i think this weekend i will redo my morrowind mods. i haven’t played much since last year tamriel rebuilt got updated, and i was experiencing issues with different mods conflicting, so i might just switch to bcom since it either comes with patches for other mods or is just built with compatibility in mind.
but i do miss my perfect sim challenge as much as i feel conflicted at time with the posting of it as a story. i’ve started migrating saga things to a notion template and i miss it terribly

Hi! Now that you are playing also ts4 I am really curious about your view on the game as a long time ts2 player. Are you enjoying the game in comparison to ts2/ts3? I was trying to get into playing with loads of mods but quickly gave up after the want/fear patch came out due to cough incest bugs cough and simulation lag. Hey, thanks for the question! I really enjoy the way the game looks but it's super, super stale and requires a lot of player intervention in order to make it interesting, which can be really tiring. I love to play games that are spontaneous in nature and ts4 really isn't that. I also hate the way sims interact with each other. There's no drama!!! I've been trying to incorperate mods to spice it up a bit but to no avail. I will agree with you on sentiments being cool as hell (even though the way they're generated doesn't always make much sense). I also think the game-generated events are really annoying (like why would I care about a cheerleading event going on? Why are my sims being invited to the spice festival????) Idk. Fears and whims in this game are super meaningless too. Like there's no real motivation for doing anything my sims want to do because nothing changes when I do do what they want. iddddk

Three Facts About Me
Thank you @plumbtales for tagging me!
1) I've recently been promoted to a Supervisor at my workplace which is what the interview I was preparing for last month was for. I will never say where to be on the safe side of my social media policy - but no, it's not top secret! Either way, I'm less than week on the role and I'm on the early shifts this week (0500-1445) which is mostly why my queue has over 100 posts (of course it's CampbellQuaBaCC!) in it because I'll be knackered in the afternoons!
2) My favourite Sims game is The Sims 2 (how could you guess that? 🤣) but The Sims 3 is a CLOSE second - especially since the AMAZING @lazyduchess FIXED the game massively with their TS3 Smooth Patch Fix! I swear the modding community for these games ARE THE BEST - so many talented creators and modders make my downtime playing so enjoyable! 😘🥰 I especially love the Story Progression mod they did for TS2 as well!
3) I hoard notebooks as I've have always wanted to become a published author. I know it's a monumental task and several times I've written outlines or odd chapters, but lost inspiration, direction or motivation halfway through. I always remember a story that JK Rowling told (Harry Potter was my favourite book series growing up) when she was on a train with no writing implements/paper when she had her key idea of the boy wizard. I never want to be in that predicament so I ALWAYS have a notebook on me at any one time. It's also why you'll see me reblog writing related advice in case I want to refer to it later. The reason I am OBSESSED with my BaCC series is because I'm massively inspired by the challenge as a plot device and I just make it up as I go along tbh! But you guys seem to enjoy it! Randomizer Fixes
(Basically Firstborn Syndrome Fix 2.0)
I have, for the second time, rewritten the randomization in TS2.
Just like my old fix, it gets rid of Firstborn Syndrome, but in addition:
- Properly initializes random seeds from the start, so hopefully nothing “non-random” will slip through the cracks.
- Fixes SimAntics randomness, that is in-game objects and behaviors with randomness always starting out the same.
- Has better performance.
- Can be patched into a No-CD Mansion & Garden/UC executable, so you actually don’t need RPC or an ASI Loader.
EXE Patching Version:
(Exe patches can be combined together, i.e. you can use it on an executable patched with Separates4All)
Download: SFS / Dropbox
Simply launch the patcher and locate your No-CD/Cracked “TSBin/Sims2EP9.exe” when prompted.
A Sims2RPC version seems kinda redundant since I will update the included fix with this one soon but still:
Sims2RPC/ASI Version:
Download: SFS / Dropbox
Replace your “randomizer.asi” in “TSBin/mods” with this one.
Update 1: Fixed crashing for some users.

I’ve updated all my hairs for the 1.75 patch!
That’s my face when I heard about the new patch and what it meant for all custom content creators LMAO. But I absolutely couldn’t leave you guys hanging, so I sat down and spent the day updating all my hairs. They all now have 24 swatches!
Head to my Downloads page and make sure you grab the updated versions!
Some notes:
Added an override version for Simply Wavy which replaces the base game Long Wavy hair
Added an override version for Precious Presence which replaces the SP01 Long Wavy Half Up hair
Added an override version for Sweet Sweep which replaces the EP02 Bob Shoulder hair
Updated a few hair LODs that were either completely amateurish or just plain bad lol
On a different note, thank you so much for all your kind words while I was gone. I miss being here, but I completely lost interest in The Sims 4 gameplay-wise. Even with all the patches and new packs, I just can’t bring myself to play it anymore. That’s why I won’t be creating any new custom content for TS4. I went back to The Sims 2 and modded the hell out of it lmao. TS2 just scratches an itch I can’t explain.
Anyway, I hope you continue to enjoy my custom content. I also wanted to let you know that you can modify my content all you want, include the mesh in your recolours/modifications, and all that jazz. However, please do not put my content/your modification of my content behind paywalls/adfly.

Hi! I saw that you recently got back into TS4. I wanted to play it too but the depth of the gameplay bothers me sometimes. What mods would you recommend/use to make TS4 better? Thank you!
Ok here are some amazing mods that make ts4 less shallow and more meaningful!
Wonderful Whims - This adds attractiveness, personality archetypes and more!
Meaningful Stories - Redesigns the mood and emotions system, to make the events in their lives feel more meaningful, and to turn managing their lives into a more interesting challenge.
Have Some Personality Please! - Improves the autonomy of sims, removes idle chat and allows sims to perform interactions!
Lifetime Aspirations! - 25 more LTAs! Reworks Aspirations so they have 1 goal and are more challenging.
The Personality Mod - Adds the 6 Sims 2 Aspirations as Reward traits. Each trait has it's own set of Whims that are directly inspired by the appropriate Wants from Sims 2.
The Hobby Mod - Adds 10 reward Traits inspired by TS2 Freetime Hobbies! (just found this today and am adding to my game!)
Etheria's Romance Overhaul - Also adds attractiveness but doesn't conflict with Wonderful Whims. Adds Blushing, one sided crushes etc.
Refer - Customisable pronouns! Non-binary sims can have their correct pronouns in game!
Auto Shorter Teens - Makes teens shorter than adults automantically, has short and shorter versions.
Archaeology Kit - Expands the Archaeology Skill!
Simulation Unclogger - Stops sims from getting stuck randomly.
Simulation Lag Fix - Stops autonumous interactions causing lag.
Less Intrusive Conversations - Stops random sims joining your conversations.
Emotional Socials - Adds new social interactions found in new pie menus. [not updated for newest patch though :(]
These are what i have in my game, i'm sure there are more but these are making the game way more fun for me. I've stopped paying money for this game, as i'd already spent way too much on it hoping it would get better. Hope this helps you find fun in this game too! :D
