I LOVE the comment section on Kill Six Billion Demons. It is truly the chattering of mad gods and Eldritch whispers. I have never found a place that reminds me of home more.

my "hot" take on the show is that while it tried to dehumanize hannibal and make him seem like a god/devil, with no feelings, and apparently most of you do see him like that, I'm over here like "my bbg he has biiiig big feelings leave him alone" and "I trust no words that come out of Will Graham's mouth". I don't know what happened along the way but I ended up perceiving everything upside down from what they tried to depict lol

We don't envision season 5 right when we talk because what is that actually gonna be like? This isn't a romcom. Mike finds out about the painting but Will is like throwing up blood and slugs in the corner.
edit: to clarify I wasn't saying "no time for romance" I was saying "it's horror show with raises stakes and angst. Mike will have to figure out how to bring up this truth bomb he discovered when more important things are clearly going on and there aren't the most conversational opportunities". I mean MORE juice, not less.

I figured we weren't going to convince them that Gortash is the problem and quite frankly I didn't have time for this.

Snopes.com was THE fact-checking / lie-debunking website in the 2000s, covering everything from lighthearted fare like "is this a picture of Bigfoot?" to rumors about Iraq War, which at the time often spread via chain emails or Dick Cheney.
Well, Snopes still exists and I encourage you to check it out. They will investigate until they find the primary source of a photo, a quote, an article. This is especially important in a world where AI is increasingly able to fool the human eye and human ear.
In case you were wondering, the status of the photos / articles I clipped for this post are:
Israel making a deal with BetterHelp - Real, and the company was founded by an IDF soldier who proudly brags about this fact in his online profile. Also they have previously been caught selling private medical information.
IDF soldier threatening a woman with children - Real picture but not from current conflict
Are Palestinians forbidden from collecting rainwater? Yes, and the situation is even more dire than the headline makes it sound. Really recommend this article for a deeper understanding of the discrimination the Palestinians suffered even prior to the current conflict.
Did Israel use white phosphorus on Gaza? The evidence strongly points to yes. This article is VERY good, very well-researched.

i do not “watch” riverdale. riverdale is not a show that you “watch.” riverdale is something you witness. akin to the divine. every week roberto aguirre-sacasa himself has allowed us to witness some kind of unhinged godly message beamed down directly from the heavens to our televisions and it is only the brave and devoted few who stand witness to the history unfolding before our eyes. the holy truths of the universe (homosexuality) being written before us

A cold and still night is slightly better than a cold and windy night if only because one reminds you constantly of the cold and the other one you can pretend it's not cold.

What I say to you is very serious and long meditated: the link which binds me to you is from now on that of life itself. If it is cut, it is agony and madness. I underline this to you and I write to you very coldly, with the certainty of those who have experienced what they say. Do this for me, will you? Put this letter aside and if one day you are tempted to reject me, read it again. It will tell you the truth that I discovered with fear one day: that, in spite of what I thought I was and in spite of all that I am apparently fulfilled with, I am nothing without you - only a desperate and now barren selfishness. You are life and what binds me to it. I owe you a new being in me, or rather the one I really was and which had never been born.
Albert Camus to Maria Casarès, Correspondance, February 10, 1950 [#183]
