He's a pathological liar, a con man and an all around POS. Let's talk about trump's LONG string of broken promises.
He promised to build a wall.
He only did 458 miles out of 2,000.
Much of it was replacement, not new.
He promised to make Mexico pay.
They didn't.
He promised to cut the deficit.
He added $8T to it.
He promised to unveil a new health care plan.
It didn't exist.
He promised a middle class tax cut.
He cut taxes for the rich.
The middle class is paying for it.
He said COVID would just go away like magic.
Hocus Pocus: it didn't.
He said he wouldn't play golf as President.
He made 250 visit to his own golf clubs.
It cost taxpayers $136 million.
He said he'd increase economic growth by 4%.
He didn't. President Biden did.
And trump is the first President to LOSE
millions of jobs since Herbert Hoover.
He promised an infrastructure plan.
He had none.
President Biden signed a massive one.
He promised to hire "the best people."
He fired half of them, and then said they
were the worst ever.
He promised to bring down the price of prescription drugs.
He didn't: President Biden did.
He promised to drain the swamp.
He didn't: He WAS the swamp.
He promised to make America Great Again.
He didn't. If he did, it'd still be great.
But he's campaigning on the same thing.
This was only a partial list of broken promises.
trump is saying all over again that he'll do all of the things he promised to do but never did because he was too busy with petty beefs and breaking the law.
He was handed a strong economy from Obama, but ended his term with job losses.
Enough with the broken promises.
He may not be win personality of the year, but President Biden and Democrats DELIVER.

One afternoon Pinocchio, Snow White and Superman were out for a little stroll around town.
As they walked, they saw a sign in a club window: “Beauty contest - The most beautiful woman in the world.”
“I’m entering!” said Snow White.
After half an hour she came out smiling and Superman said, “Well, how'd it go?”
“I won First Place!” said Snow White.
They continued walking and they saw another sign: “Strongest man in the world contest.”
“I'm entering,” said Superman.
After half an hour, he returned and Pinocchio asked him, “How did you make out?”
“I won first place too,” answered Superman. “Did you ever have a doubt?”
They continued walking eventually they saw a third sign: “Contest - Who is the greatest liar in the world?”
Of course Pinocchio entered the contest. After half an hour he returned with tears in his eyes.
“What happened?” they asked.
“Who the hell is Donald Trump?” Pinocchio wailed.

What the fuck is Riverdale actually about anyway?
that's not an easy question to answer, but I've been asked it a lot, so I'm going to do my best.
disclaimer: while the plot summaries are accurate, my interpretation of the themes is just my interpretation. other fans might disagree, and that's valid. unless it's about season 6. if you disagree with me about season 6, you're wrong. archie literally sings bread and roses. union busting is compared to mass murder. that one's not up for debate.
Season 1
Tumblr media
[ID: a promo image for riverdale season 1, showing the characters of betty, veronica, and archie in the diner, while cheryl, josie, and jughead pose dramatically outside the window. The words 'riverdale series premier tonight' are superimposed over the picture]
The Plot: the murder of a highschool student leads his classmates to discover that the adults in their small town are all hiding dark secrets. also there's a love triangle.
What it's actually about: mostly just that, tbh. there's not a lot of subtext in season 1. This is the season where they let showrunner Roberto Aguierra-Sacassa (he of glee and pretty little liars infamy) write stuff, before the writers all barricaded themselves in the writing room and started writing plots which are just about how much they hate him and his ideas
Season 2
Tumblr media
[ID: a screencap, showing archie posing with the vigilante gang he starts. the gang is made up of shirtless men wearing red balaclavas. archie is wearing a blue shirt and his face is uncovered, because when you're bating a serial killer it's important to let them know what you look like]
The Plot: A serial killer, the black hood, begins terrorising the town. Jughead accepts his birthright and joins a biker gang. Meanwhile Veronica's gangster father begins trying to take over the town so he can commit crimes with impunity
What it's actually about: this season is mostly a series of increasingly self-aware riffs on different horror and thriller subgenres. It's the transition between the uninspired first season and the genre-parodies that make up the rest of the show, so it's not as tight as other seasons. It does feature an episode which is almost entirely just the writer being real pissed off about aguira-sacassa framing a teacher-student relationship as romantic and consensual in season 1, in which the teacher in question is shown to be a serial abuser and then immediately brutally murdered because of it, and ngl, that was pretty based.
Season 3
Tumblr media
[ID: a screencap, showing the main actors playing their character's parents in a flashback to the first gargoyle king murder. the characters are dressed as fantasy stereotypes; a paladin, rogue, warrior-king, nobleman, and wizard. they are pointing their weapons at someone off screen]
The Plot: A new serial killer, the gargoyle king, begins terrorising the town and seems to be connected to a ttrpg which mind controls its players. Meanwhile a cult which claims to allow its members to contact the dead has started recruiting at the school. Also Archie is sent to prison for a murder he didn't commit and forced to participate in an underground fightclub but that only lasts like 5 episodes.
What it's actually about: wouldn't it be ridiculous if the shit people believed during the satanic panic was true? wouldn't that be insane? wouldn't it be unbelievable. wouldn't be insane if, say, a huge portion of trump voters still believed in the satanic panic? tell me you believe in the satanic panic, i dare you, i fucking dare you-
Season 4
Tumblr media
[ID: a screencap showing the entire cast dressed as Hedwig from Hedwig and the Angry Inch, with blond wigs, blue eye make-up, denim miniskirts, and high-healed boots]
The Plot: Jughead gets involved in a murderous battle to become the new ghost-writer for a hardy boys parody that ends with him faking his own death. Archie starts a boxing club for underpriviledged youth but Veronica's dad keeps trying to shut it down because he thinks Archie might be going to uncover his illegal paladium smuggling ring. Veronica becomes a bootlegger and opens a speakeasy because she wants her dad to respect her and thinks the only way to get that is by being the fucking worst before she realises that actually he sucks and she shouldn't care what he thinks.
What it's actually about: rich people are the fucking worst and we should probably just kill all of them. Listen. Listen, they're evil. It's very important to all the writers that you know this. They're all evil.
Season 5
Tumblr media
[ID: a screencap showing what is referred to in the show as mothman, a boney humanoid with no hair, ridges over its eyes, and boney stubs that may be the tops of wings growing out of its back]
The Plot: following a 7 year timeskip, the gang return to Riverdale as adults and try to stop the town from being discorporated and demolished by Veronica's dad to make way for a new property developement. Betty hunts a serial killer who's been targetting sex workers in the area. Also Cheryl starts a Maple Syrup-themed cult and controls bees with her mind.
What it's actually about: Honestly, this season is mostly just about genre parodies. They're good genre parodies, don't get me wrong, but there's not a lot of coherent theming.
Season 6
Tumblr media
[ID: a screencap, showing archie topless and tied to a saint andrew's cross, wearing a crown made of antlers. cheryl is standing in front of him wearing a red robe, elaborate headdress, and holding a knife, as she prepares to sacrifice him to ensure a good maple syrup harvest]
The Plot: after riverdale colides with a parallel universe, the gang find they have developed superpowers which are all related to their key character traits, which they must use to battle an evil wizard called percival pickens who is trying to destroy the world using a magical train. the genre parodies get weird this season, because a lot of them are comics riffs rather than movie or tv riffs. also there's an extended alan wake parody.
What it's actually about: Unionize. Unionize right the fuck now. Why are you not already in a union? Don't you know joining a union will literally improve your changes of getting into heaven? Look at Archie Andrews singing bread and roses and tell me you still think unions are bad you coporate bootlicking piece of shit!
Season 7 (so far)
Tumblr media
[ID: a promotional image for season 7, showing betty, archie, and veronica wearing costumes based on the archie comics of the 1950s. They are sitting in the diner, and Berry and Veronica are each holding one of archie's hands]
The Plot: as a result of stopping the evil wizard in S6, the gang are sent back in time to the 1950s with no memory of their previous lives, where they are once again in highschool. Jughead has been told by an angel to make the town more just as this will help the angel bring them back to their own time, but someone is commiting murders and framing kids in the highschool for them. also there's an extended reference to alex hirsch's fight with disney S&P over gravity falls, which I did not see coming
What it's actually about (so far): oh, you think this show would be better if it was set in the 50s? You do know the 50s were the fucking worst, right? You do know the apple pie america the archie comics are set in never existed, right? you do know people who insist the 50s were a great decade are all racist homophobic sexist pieces of shit, right? right?!

Opinion: Trump meets with NATO allies: Political Cartoons
* * * *
Trump claims he told NATO ally he would welcome Russian attack.
What happened.
At a rally over the weekend, Trump recounted the following conversation with a leader of a NATO ally:
One of the presidents of a big country stood up and said, ‘Well, sir, if we don’t pay, and we’re attacked by Russia, will you protect us?’
You didn’t pay? You’re delinquent? No, I would not protect you. In fact, I would encourage them [Russia] to do whatever the hell they want.
Why it matters.
It matters for three reasons, at least.
First, The story is a fabrication. Trump is a liar (as we know). No president of a “big country” posed the question to Trump, “Well, sir, if we don’t pay . . . .” If Trump had been asked such a question and given the response he recounted during a NATO meeting, we would have heard about it long before a campaign rally in South Carolina in 2024. (Moreover, NATO countries don’t “pay” anyone for membership in NATO. Trump thinks NATO has dues like a country club. It doesn’t. Instead, each member nation agrees to spend a certain percentage of its budget on its own military.)
Second, even though the story is not true as recounted, it is a signal to Putin that Trump's commitment to NATO is illusory. Trump's submissive posture regarding Russia threatens international security—and endangers the lives of Americans who will respond to a Russian attack on NATO.
Indeed, NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg made that point, saying,
Any suggestion that allies will not defend each other undermines all of our security, including that of the US, and puts American and European soldiers at increased risk. I expect that regardless of who wins the presidential election, the US will remain a strong and committed NATO ally.
Third, the statement is a reminder of Trump's wild unpredictability when making public comments. He is a reckless madman. He is unfit to be president.
The reaction.
Trump's imaginary (but reckless) story was rightly condemned by most major media. The NYTimes led with three front-page stories about the Trump's statement.
Favoring Foes Over Friends, Trump Threatens to Upend International Order.
An Outburst by Trump on NATO May Push Europe to Go It Alone
Trump draws fire for his comments on NATO and Russia
The Washington Post led with a top-of-page headline, “Trump’s NATO-bashing comments rile allies, rekindle European fears.”
The Wall Street Journal included a below-the-fold front page headline, NATO Leader Blasts Trump’s Suggestion He Would Encourage Russian Invasion of U.S. Allies.
But, as expected, leading Republicans excused Trump's reckless statement. Senator Marco Rubio said,
He doesn’t talk like a traditional politician, and we’ve already been through this. You would think people would’ve figured it out by now.
The excuse that “he doesn’t talk like a politician” doesn’t change how our NATO allies feel about Trump's invitation to Putin to invade NATO countries. They would rightly make strategic decisions based on what Trump says without discounting his statement by his unpredictability.
More to the point, Trump doesn’t “talk” like an adult. He speaks like a petulant child with no emotional control. He is unfit to be president.
Speaking of Trump talking like a petulant child, read on!

No hush money trial today. But it is announced that Biden and Trump with debate a couple of times. It promises to be really nasty.
Breaking with routine I stay inside (the weather really quite bad). Still thinking about last night's meal at Shun Lee. Wondering what kind of bill we ran up.
Thursday, May 16, 2024
Further complications: the building's boiler is being cleaned. Water shut off.
In lower Manhattan the hush money trial continues. A further attack of Michael Cohen. Trump's guy goes after Cohen, trying to excite him (thus far Cohen has been cool), trying to prove him a liar. It's all quite ugly and I can't watch much of it. (Or, rather, listen to the commentary. There are no cameras in the courtroom.)
Note: Many of Trump's fans have shown up. Among them, Matt Gaetz and Lauren Boebert (both sort of in hiding from their own legal issues). Others up from D C, taking a day off. Showing their support. The men in matching red ties.
They're not through with Cohen. A couple more days should do it. Then it goes to the jury. I have a terrible idea regarding how all this will turn out.
Because so many D Cers were attending Trump's trial (fan club) a vote had to be put off until evening. The meeting was short and ended in chaos. Minutes before it began M T G started a catfight with Jasmine Crockett, saying that Ms. Crockett wears fake eyelashes. Crockett came out the winner. Insulted M T G...Comer sat there confused. Sad stuff. Playground insults. Body shaming and that sort of thing.
to be continued

Kleptocracy is biological. It consumes everything in its path like a parasite.
In Russia it ate Dostoevsky and Tchaikovsky and shit out alcoholism and hopelessness.
Justin Kennedy (justice kennedys son) was the inside man at Deutsche bank that was getting all trumps toxic loans approved.
No other bank but Deutsche bank would touch trump and his imaginary valuations.
Why?
Because Deutsche bank was infested with Russian oligarchs.
For 50 years the oligarchs consumed everything in soviet Russia. They stole everything of value including the hope of Russians.
The corruption eventually collapsed the Soviet Union like the carcass of a parasite riddled host and the oligarchs were forced to expand their feeding grounds.
In 89 the Soviet Union fails and for a couple of years they hid all their ill gotten gains under a mattress until they started buying condos at trump towers.
They made stops in Ukraine, Cyprus and London but they landed in New York because that was what everyone wanted in the late 80’s.
Levi’s, Pepsi, Madonna tapes that weren’t smuggled bootlegs, Wall Street cocaine
They all bought new suits and cars and changed their title from “most violent street thug in moscow” to “respectable Russian oligarch” but they didn’t leave their human trafficking, narcotics or extortion behind. It was their most lucrative business model.
Trump and Giuliani just opened the doors and let the predators in to feed. They all bought condos at trump towers and used trumps casinos to launder their money.
In 89 three of trumps casino execs start asking why their books don’t make sense and they die in a helicopter crash that Roger Stone pulls trump off of at the last minute.
https://pressofatlanticcity.com/gallery/oct-10-1989-3-trump-execs-2-pilots-die-as-helicopter-crashes-in-parkway-median/article_40ea7e95-9309-5e01-89ba-7f6c30409ff3.html
Guiliani redirected NYPD resources away from his Russian allies intentionally and onto the Italian mob. It let him claim he cleaned up New York and it lets the russians a perk of doing business with trump.
https://www.motherjones.com/politics/2023/09/a-new-rudy-scandal-fbi-agent-says-giuliani-was-co-opted-by-russian-intelligence/
The attorney/client privilege is their continual work around they use to accept bribes and make payments up and down the mob pyramid.
The insane valuations coming out in trumps fraud trial are a necessity of the money laundering cycle that duetschebank was doing with the Russians.
The reason trump cosplays as “folksy” is because he is feeding on the U.S. middle class, not because he is one of us.
The GOP fell in line to MAGA because Trump did what pathological liars do, they told them anything they wanted to hear.
Trump with his money laundering and child raping buddy Epstein, Roger Stone with his sex clubs in DC and Nevada, and Paul Manafort with his election rigging pretty much everywhere, sat down at a table with Mike Johnson and the extreme religious right and convinced them that they were the same.
They self evidently are not, at least at a surface level, but there is enough common ground in the exploitation of children, Russian kompromat, desire for unilateral control that they became the worlds weirdest and most dysfunctional orgy.
Trump belongs to the authoritarians. The GOP now belongs to trump.
But their overall goal is the same.
Kleptocracy.
Putin became one of the richest people in the world by stealing from Russians first. The Russian oligarchs used perestroika to privatize all the assets of the USSR by stealing them from the hands of the decent people because that’s what predators do.
We don’t have a political problem. We have a predator problem. Like murder hornets that invade a beehive and destroy a bee every 14 seconds until the hive collapses the oligarchs want to move into the United States and do the same because none of them want to live in Russia.
Who would? after all, it was destroyed by oligarchs and nobody steps away from the mob, they get retired through violent means.
But all these oligarchs are old now and know they can’t keep ahead of the slightly more violent and ambitious lion cub beneath them who is growing tired of paying the old man when he does all the dirty work.
The soviet oligarchs ate Russia to death with their greed. Then Ukraine. Now they are designing a perestroika 2.0 to put 330 million Americans into real estate default so they can come in and buy everything up at 3 cents on the dollar. Trump just enabled them.
It’s the collapse of the USSR, American edition using the naive and compromised GOP as their assault force, But your slave masters are the same. The 3% that are so devoid of empathy that they put their wealth above everything else
Kolomoisky was the putin puppet in Ukraine that bought most of downtown Cleveland.
Before that he started privatbank which was taking IMF loans which the oligarchs would loan to themselves and never repay.
When the IMF figured it out they tried to force Zelensky to have the Ukrainian people pay it back before they would extend any more aid.
Kolomoisky wasn’t alone. He was just the crossroads between Rudy Giuliani, trump and Kushner.
https://www.timesofisrael.com/inside-anatevka-the-curious-chabad-hamlet-in-ukraine-where-giuliani-is-mayor/
https://www.timesofisrael.com/giuliani-associates-leveraged-gop-access-to-seek-ukraine-gas-deal/
When Ukraine arrested him last year for corruption it cracked the whole network open.
Trump can’t stop lying now or his MAGA base tears him apart when they realize he is literally the man who stole the world.
Trump is a pathological liar. But lying is an expensive habit. If you tell the truth, you can say it once and it’s finished. You have expelled all the energy necessary for it to stand on its own for eternity.
Lying requires infinite and exponentially more energy input in the form of more lies, bribes, extortion and murder to keep it covered.
Trump is now testing this theory on a worldwide scale.
Putin is tied to him by the purse strings and so is everyone who pushes Putin’s narrative because puppet strings work both directions. Why would any sane human push a psychopaths lies unless they are heavily invested in it?
The difference is, this is the first time in known human history that the Information Age happened. You can hide your neighborhood bullshit in 1980. It’s harder in 2000. By 2024 the internet knows more about a narcissistic oligarchs movements than he knows about himself.
It’s just a matter of organizing that data.
They couldn’t self regulate their greed. It’s just following the roach trail back to nest after that.

Giving Trump the Office, are we?
Oh, this is cute. This idiotic clod just gave Trump credibility, something Trump should never have. And, now, he's lying about his intent.
Cut the crap, you mercenary moron! You're a liar, and now you've shown your man is a liar because he hired you, (though whether that's the case or not may ultimately prove irrelevant.) The proposed penalty is a damned joke, and he deserves a stretch in CLUB FED!
You damned idiot!

The Inside Joke That Became Trump’s Big Lie :: Sept. 22, 2022
By Carlos Lozada ::  Opinion Columnist
Donald Trump’s so-called big lie is not big because of its brazen dishonesty or its widespread influence or its unyielding grip over the Republican Party. It is not even big because of its ambition — to delegitimize a presidency, disenfranchise millions of voters, clap back against reality. No, the lie that Donald Trump won the 2020 election has grown so powerful because it is yoked to an older deception, without which it could not survive: the idea that American politics is, in essence, a joke, and that it can be treated as such without consequence.
The big lie depends on the big joke. It was enabled by it. It was enhanced by it. It is sustained by it.
When politicians publicly defend positions they privately reject, they are telling the joke. When they give up on the challenge of governing the country for the rush of triggering the enemy, they are telling the joke. When they intone that they must address the very fears they have encouraged or manufactured among their constituents, they are telling the joke. When their off-the-record smirks signal that they don’t really mean what they just said or did, they are telling the joke. As the big lie spirals ever deeper into unreality, with the former president mixing election falsehoods with call-outs to violent, conspiratorial fantasies, the big joke has much to answer for.
Recent books like “Why We Did It: A Travelogue From the Republican Road to Hell” by a former Republican operative and campaign consultant, Tim Miller, and “Thank You for Your Servitude: Donald Trump’s Washington and the Price of Submission” by The Atlantic’s Mark Leibovich place this long-running gag at the center of American politics. The big joke drains language of meaning, divorces action from responsibility and enables all manner of lies. “Getting the joke” means understanding that nothing you say need be true, that nobody expects it to be true — at least nobody in the know. “The truth of this scam, or ‘joke,’ was fully evident inside the club,” Leibovich writes. “We’re all friends here. Everyone knew the secret handshake, spoke the native language and got the joke.”
Without the big joke, the big lie would not merit its adjective. Its challenge to democracy would be ephemeral, not existential.
The chroniclers of Donald Trump’s election lie typically seek out an origin story, a choose-your-own adventure that always leads to the Capitol steps on Jan. 6, 2021. In his book, “The Big Lie: Election Chaos, Political Opportunism, and the State of American Politics After 2020,” Politico’s Jonathan Lemire pinpoints an August 2016 campaign rally in Columbus, Ohio, during which Trump first suggested that the contest against Hillary Clinton would be rigged against him. This, Lemire writes, was when “the seeds of the big lie had been planted.”
Tim Alberta of The Atlantic starts six months earlier, when Trump accused Senator Ted Cruz of Texas of cheating in the Iowa caucuses. “That episode was a bright red, blinking light foreshadowing everything that was to come,” Alberta told PBS Frontline. In “The Destructionists: The Twenty-Five Year Crack-Up of the Republican Party,” the Washington Post columnist (and my former colleague) Dana Milbank offers a far longer accumulation of lies from the right: the notion that Bill and Hillary Clinton were involved in the death of the White House lawyer Vince Foster, the illusions behind President George W. Bush’s invasion of Iraq, the birther concoctions, the death-panel ravings — all building toward the big one. “The G.O.P.’s quarter-century war on facts had come to this, a gargantuan fabrication aimed at discrediting democracy itself,” Milbank sums up. And Leibovich quotes Representative Adam Schiff’s view of how his House colleagues slowly submitted to Trump’s fantasies. “It’s one small lie, followed by a demand for a bigger lie and a bigger concession, a bigger moral lapse, until, you know, these folks that I admired and respected, because I believe that they believe what they were saying, had given themselves up so completely to Donald Trump.
