Liberal to moderate Americans should not be squeamish about using the term un-American. For too long the enemies of democracy and human rights in the United States have used it to demonize their political opponents.

We should be the ones to define what it means to be American. Fairness, equality, charity, civility, and opposition to tyrannical dictators are traits which a majority of Americans would agree on.

The MAGA Republican Party has supported voter suppression, bigotry, race-baiting, income inequality, and overseas dictators committing genocide. They are unquestionably un-American and even anti-American. Pointing this out is a no-brainer.

We can't keep the country on the right track without using the right language. As the Trump cult continues to move further from mainstream values we should be robust about pointing out how un-American they've become.

This should be the top headline everywhere.

Trump calling anyone "crooked" or "criminal" at this point is simply laughable.

The One True Thing

Before he took his life to escape the ravages of ALS, a gentleman with a wicked sense of humor shared this thought about his neighbor:  She is a woman of strong opinions—most of them wrong. A little wicked myself, I laughed but felt guilty afterward. Even so, the witticism was apt.  Firm opinions shutter the mind. Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, a Republican, is a prime example. Buoyed by her fiscal ignorance, she saw no danger for the country if it defaulted on its debt. No one is freaking out, no one is concerned about this mystery date that Janet Yellen has thrown out… Greene’s mystery wasn’t much of one to others. Most people understood a default would create a recession, costing millions of Americans their jobs, and wreaking havoc with their social security and retirement benefits. The devastation would have overshadowed the January 6 insurrection, reducing it to a historical footnote. To take the country hostage with a manufactured crisis would have been the greater infamy.     Republican Representative Matt Gaetz who earned a law doctorate makes no bones about his intention to break the nation’s spine. Why negotiate with Democrats, he reasoned, when Republicans had taken them hostage? Does the lion negotiate with the rabbit clamped between its jaws?  Gaetz seemed to think President Joe Biden would be held accountable for the chaos that would follow. Others weren’t so sure. They doubted the public was gullible enough to blame a man hauled before a firing squad for the guns pointed at his chest. With the crisis now averted, we’ll never know how gullible citizens can be. But we have learned that Gaetz’s suicidal gambit makes him the comrade of White Supremacists and Christian Nationalists. The same is true for Greene. She planted the flag for racial injustice after a heated exchange with James Bowman, a Black colleague.  Whining to reporters that Bomwn’s demeanor had threatened her, she evoked the memory of Emmett Till, the 14-year-old Black boy who was tortured and killed because he made a White woman uncomfortable.    Given more power, these two members of Congress would upend the common notion of justice. They’d see nothing untoward if Donald Trump were to run for president from a prison cell, then pardon himself if elected. Instead, they’d applaud, imagining his new version of American Carnage would rise from the ashes–failed policies on immigration, revitalized industries, and infrastructure. But they’d be disappointed.  Trump has already revealed his new platform.  Vengeance.   His supporters will imagine he intends to address their grievances, but they, too, would be wrong. He intends to weaponize the government, focusing its power like a death ray on his enemies.  A man who reveres tyrants like Vladimir Putin, Kim Jon Un, and Mohammed bin Salman, could do nothing less.   History teaches that in their quest for power, villains use words indistinguishable from those of patriots.  Yet when a tyrant speaks of freedom, what he seeks is a license for himself.  Justice narrows to exclude the many.  Statesmanship inflicts cruelty.  Or, in the case of Greene’s calls for decorum, tr reflects buffoonery. Voters lack the power to peer into the hearts of the men and women we elect.  We know less about their backers–powerbrokers who pull strings from the shadows, treating Democracy like a commodity to be bought and sold rather than the noble idea for which many have died. Only one truth is self-evident. Democracy works best when it tempers the influence of a few with the diversity of the many.  Diversity is the one true thing we all have in common. okay can i just GO OFF about how angry the Trump-endorsed "God Bless the USA" Bible makes me?

like first of all, one of the most privileged and un-Christlike human beings on the planet using their face to promote a Bible is just... EWWW. and during Holy Week, no less. and ever so conveniently when he has to pay legal bills.

second, by adding political documents to the Bible, they are essentially trying to lump them in with scripture, which is literal blasphemy.

If Trump wins 2024, he will halt all funding for Ukraine, negotiate an end to conflict with Putin, thus preventing WW3.

The reason Biden and the Deep State cannot negotiate with Putin, is because Putin wants their heads for crimes against humanity, namely for manufacturing C19.

This is not speculation on my part. Russian MIL literally listed Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and George Soros, as being the main ideologists behind the plot to manufacture coronavirus strains in Ukraine, with US DoD funding, and there is an open source paper trail to back it up. You can debate on whether or not you believe them, but the reality is, Putin wants the “Western Elites” and Xi agrees with him.

It’s not hyperbolic to say that this is life or death for the Deep State actors. If Trump wins and negotiates a settlement with Putin, Russian MIL have already been demanding for activation of Articles V and VI of the Biological Weapons Treaty, which would result in a Security Council investigation and international military tribunals. That’s what Russian MIL have been demanding at the UN for nearly 2 years now. And that’s just the biological stuff, not even accounting for the whole 2014 coup, shelling the Donbas, funding and supporting Ukraine in 2022, Nord Stream, etc.

What do you think Trump is going to say? No? Trump wants to prosecute the exact same people for crimes against humanity! Putin is literally demanding that all of Trump’s enemies trying to imprison him, must be prosecuted by military tribunal… How could Trump say no to that?! He’d be killing multiple birds with one stone. And Trump’s DOJ wouldn’t have to do the prosecuting. It would be a coalition of military judges from different countries around the world. It would be far more legitimate and no way could the Dems cry “partisanship”. It’s international law.

Y’all might think it’s crazy, but this is the trajectory we are headed on if Trump wins, which is why the Biden regime are going to do everything in their power to prevent Trump from winning. If they fail, they will be treated as international war criminals, and will face the ultimate penalty.

Don't neglect to frequently call out Trump as un-American. Anti-democracy and pro-Russia MAGA Republicans have forfeited the right to define what is American and what isn't.

If Trump Republicans love Russia so much then they should just move there.

Maybe this is a stupid thing to express, I've just seen so much Isr*eli violence today and I feel like maybe you can help me understand. All I've heard from people talking about the situation in Palestine is that it's "very complex" and requires a lot of research into the history of the place to get a "better understanding" of it. But like. Why can't they work to solve the conflict without butchering people? Why is the international community allowing Israel to keep doing what they're doing? I guess the answer is their American alliance, but is there no one willing to step up and actually do anything about this? What can I do about this? I've raised money, I've boycotted, I've signed petitions, it feels so hopeless, is it all for nothing?

Politically, americans need a stronghold in the middle east and use Israel as a puppet state. If there was an armed conflict between Israel and the Arab state, the US would be the first to intervene on the side of Israel, thus keeping the other states from intervening. The U.S keeps vetoing any resolution the UN presents on anything relating to the illegal occupation of Palestine, effectively making the UN one of the most useless peacekeepers in the world. So Israel makes a valuable ally in the geopolitical game. With the Trump administration, several deals and political changes undermined a lot for the Palestinian struggle for liberation not to mention the large support for the Christian right. Furthermore, negotiations become challenging when the Israeli Regime keeps allowing Zionist settlers to colonize Palestinian lands and evict Palestinians from their homes, and with every UN resolution that is presented to prevent these actions, the Americans keep vetoing them away. As a result, Palestinians have no choice but to retaliate, and when they do, they become demonized by Western media. When a Palestinian Christian journalist was shot in the head, the US and Israeli government did nothing, showing that Israel is an apartheid state that will surpress Palestinian voices and continue its oppression of the Palestinian people. The international community (sans the US) does condemn Israel, but there is little they can do with the Veto system in place. However, US influence of the MENA region has decreased significantly over the past few years.

Religiously, there is the ever-growing Evangelical movement in the U.S that adheres to the idea that Jewish people should be allowed to return to Israel so that they can hasten the return of Jesus, who will convert them enmass (144.000 to be precise). This is also referred to as Christian Zionism and is a very popular doctrine among the Evangelical sector. The Christian right is extremely vocal in its support for Israel in the hopes that Israel will become fully Jewish (this means they won't take any other Christian life into account). This idea is rooted in the Book of Revelation where the idea of a Jewish nation will signify the end times, and only can the apocalypse take place once the Holy Land becomes exclusively Jewish. Israel becomes a large tourist attraction for Evangelical Christians as a result and there are even Evangelicals disguised as Jewish people (such as Messianic Jews) that go around and lure Jewish people in the hopes of converting them.

In short, Fuck Zionism and the settler colonial state in general, and the Evangelical Christian Church is an evil death cult that advocates genocide in order to bring about the apocalypse.

In the first months of 1940, he invaded and occupied Norway, Denmark, Belgium and the Netherlands. He wants the United States to declare publicly that in the event of a “direct conflict” between Russia and a NATO ally, America will “withhold forces.” The Europeans need to know they can no longer “count on us like they used to.”  [...] Can Republicans really be returning to a 1930s worldview in our 21st-century world? The answer is yes. Trump’s Republican Party wants to take the United States back to the triad of interwar conservatism: high tariffs, anti-immigrant xenophobia, isolationism. According to Russ Vought, who is often touted as Trump’s likely chief of staff in a second term, it is precisely this “older definition of conservatism,” the conservatism of the interwar years, that they hope to impose on the nation when Trump regains power. [...] Like those of their 1930s forbears, today’s Republicans’ views of foreign policy are heavily shaped by what they consider the more important domestic battle against liberalism. Foreign policy issues are primarily weapons to be wielded against domestic enemies. [...] The GOP devotion to America First is merely the flip side of Trump’s “poison the blood” campaign. It is about the ascendancy of White Christian America and the various un-American ethnic and racial groups allegedly conspiring against it. [emphasis added]
