LOWER MANHATTAN, New York City (WABC) — The Tribute in Light, with its beams of light shining into the night sky, is honoring those who were killed on September 11, 2001.
Although a very foggy night, the Light is still visible emerging from the site of the World Trade Center.
Assembled on the roof of the Battery Parking Garage south of the 9/11 Memorial, the twin beams reach…
Bonnie was in search of a certain big bad hybrid. He had big plans for Elena that the Salvatore brothers didn't agree with. Big shocker there, Bonnie thought to herself as she arrived at the Mikaelson mansion. It's not like she wanted to be at the Mikaelson's right now, but she didn't have a choice, or rather she wasn't given a choice.
The Salvatores volunteered her for the job because she was Elena's best friend and therefore it was her duty to protect Elena. That was how Damon had put it anyway. As if she didn't have enough on her plate already. But she couldn't say no, not when it came to Elena.
What job you may ask? Well, it was simple, she had to convince Klaus to see things their way and agree to the Salvatore brothers' terms. In other words, she was screwed because there was no way in hell Klaus would agree.
She pulled up to the imposing gate, rolling her eyes at the absurdity of it all. It was a long shot, but Bonnie had no choice but to try. She pressed the button and waited for the gate to open, driving up to the mansion and parking her Prius amongst the luxurious cars already there.
With a heavy sigh, she made her way to the front door and knocked, her frustration growing with each passing second. Why did she always get dragged into the Salvatores' drama? They owed her big time for all the times she saved their sorry asses. Putting on her game face, Bonnie let herself in, realizing that no one was there to greet her.
The mansion felt eerily quiet and empty, with only the sound of her footsteps echoing through the grand foyer. The last time she remembered being in the mansion was when she unlinked the Mikaelson siblings.
She tensed, her senses on high alert as she cautiously made her way through the halls. Despite the fact that they were all powerful vampires, Bonnie felt it was best to announce her presence. "Hello?" she called out, her voice echoing through the empty mansion.

Was tagged by @oceancamp to post my current five favorite songs! (They should invent a stages-of-grief-esque model that encompasses and accurately describes both types of anguish I had to go through making this list - the one of limiting myself to only five songs, and the one of trying to put as little videogame music on here as possible so that I don't end up looking like an absolute goddamn geek, which... I am... Oh well!)
Thank you so much for tagging me - here are the songs!
Heaven Pierce Her - War Without Reason
Tatsuro Yamashita - Love Space
This specific arrangement of Death And Republic + Meet Again
Winger - Junkyard Dog (Tears On Stone)
The Protomen - Light Up The Night
Is it courtesy to tag other people after you've been tagged in a post like this? If that's the case, I'll tag @spiralled-fury, @solradguy, @swamppossum, @five-by-five, @northstarring, @ineedmoredragons and @tbonechessor!
Thanks to NYC Audubon for monitoring migrating birds during last night's Tribute in Light! When too many birds get disoriented and stalled in the beams, the lights are turned off for 20 minutes so the birds can safely continue on their migration journey. 😊
On 5 SEPTEMBER, a beloved Sky player named VIOLETTA passed away due to a very, very long battle with leukemia. I had found out that she actually was following me on Instagram, and I felt super duper heartbroken that I never got the chance to know her or even reached out for anything .... but having read all of the comments on her death announcement post, she was a very loving, compassionate woman and mother who brought radiance with her wherever she went. I was a month late making this (due to energy slumps + focus issues, mental illness n' PCOS sure is fun), but I just COULD NOT go without making some sort of tribute for her ......
TELFOSO, my beloved little goddess, takes in this Child of Light into her sacred Heaven, for it's genuine souls like her who are guaranteed a place in it (or whatever one believes awaits us.).
Rest in peace, Miss Violetta. 🎔 With much love from Telfoso and I.
Rough around the edges, but I was overcome with feelings about That One Performance of Vietnam by Soft Ballet yesterday (as I often am) and had to finally do something with it after wanting to for ages.
Call it an exploratory test I suppose, as I definitely intend to return to this subject later, my work here is not done... (would love to go for a more dramatic angle for example, and higher detail...there are so many breathtaking shots in that performance it's overwhelming)
But for now I figure I may as well share, since so little of my work lately has been share-able, haha (perils of ambitious secret personal projects, rip lol)
I redrew a frame from Miyazaki's Castle of Cagliostro because it's just filled with such melancholy. And that's been my mental State most days, especially because of what's been happening in Palestine. I'll make more art on the issue, of course. We need to spread all the awareness we can. I just needed to draw something that it made me happy to think about for a change, in order to get the energy back.
