haven't posted tpq in a while so here's some hc's for y'all thirsty bitches

Aru learns how to knit, eventually, once things settle down. It's her one and only brainless activity that feels productive

Aiden really sucks at drawing, believe it or not. He can't paint or do art for shit.

Brynne is really into pottery (???) and she and Hira take a couples pottery class that ends... messily

Hira learns how to bake under Brynne, and eventually (lowkey) becomes a better baker than her. Sure, Brynne still cooks better, but Hira's just better at baking

Brynne's not mad that Hira's better than her. It's not a problem.

Everyone's really surprised that Brynne isn't upset that Hira's a better baker than her

Rudy discovers Chappell Roan and becomes obsessed

Rudy pulls up outside Mini's house one day with "HOT TO GO" blasting and gets arrested for disrupting the neighbors

this happens at three am

Mini knows how to play the piano (I think this is confirmed in the series???) BUT she only likes playing Taylor Swift because I SAID SO

what do you think TPQ would pursue in like college and what about their careers?

(Please note that I have no idea how colleges work, so there will be lots of inconsistencies)

(Long-ish post incoming)

Aru: It's a personal headcanon of mine, that she'd be a lawyer, but realistically, going by what's in canon, she'd probably major in history to be an archeologist like Krithika. So, a History major, going on to be an archeologist/historian.

Mini: Medicine. Bio major, goes onto be a surgeon. Maybe a minor in pathology.

Brynne: Cooking. I don't know the technical, college term, but she'd major in cooking (?), and maybe a minor in martial arts (does that even exist? Point is, she continues martial arts as a hobby)

Aiden: Journalism, specifically, photojournalism. Wants to work for the Times, or any popular newspaper. Does wildlife photography and cooking photography on the side.

Rudy: Depends on whether he goes to human college. But if he does, probably majoring in musical arts, and DJing. His main career is obviously, "King", but, has a popular Spotify account on the side.

Nikita: Designing, and business management, and, in designing, specifically, fashion. She opens her own boutique in the future, which is very successful, and surpasses the Seasons in popularity.

Sheela: Psych. I don't exactly have an explanation, just that Sheela is extremely empathetic, and would be a good psychologist, so, yeah, psych.

Hira: Interior designing. Somebody posted a headcanon about Hira liking interior design, and I liked it a lot, so, interior design for her. Maybe even art, or event planning. We don't have much of her personality or interests, so I don't exactly have a solid idea for her.

i realized i have not made my obligated goodbye amphibia post and if tpq gets one, this show should get one too

i found out about the show the day before it first aired, it looked fun so i, yk, watched it the next day. and then it became a pattern, watching the show every morning on those channels on youtube that posted them in parts (because i couldnt catch them when they aired on cable). it wasnt a svtfoe for me, but it was a chill, fun show that i enjoyed. i remember when amphibia wasnt that popular, and not really understanding why, since back then i wasnt really in tune with fandom culture. around a month later, i joined the amphibia amino and thats where i started to get more into fan art and theories, my interest grew.

i remember seeing the promo art for reunion, watching everyone go crazy over lean on me, i remember also going crazy over lean on me. i remember the hellishly long wait for season 2, making theories over anne’s blue power, when people were trying to figure out if anne’s flash of blue in anne or beast was an animation error or not. then came the rest of the season 2, thats when i migrated to tumblr and frankly, was the peak of my amphibia enjoyment. casually watching every saturday and going to tumblr to discuss

then came true colors, the huge shift in the fandom (aka it growing by like, 100 lmfao). watching it before it aired officially and then discreetly going on the subreddit for the pre airing true colors watchers was a little bit wrong of me, yet still brought up some of my favorite amphibia memes and discussions.

season 3 was a little rocky for me, i didnt laugh or feel as much as i would have liked, but it still kept me relatively entertained as that was all i cared about at that point.

then the finale, that goddamn emotional gut-puncher that i’ll never forget

what im trying to say is that ive always been there. always been watching and enjoying this show from the sidelines, making art and fics that will never see the light of day. just, enjoying myself, letting the show take the reels of my brain and slowly stringing me along. it nurtured the seeds svtfoe planted in my interest in animation and art. while the messages of the show with the characters didnt stick (what i mean is that i didnt really apply the messages the show was trying to tell with the characters to my own life, which i really should start doing), it was still amazing seeing those stories told in real time.

so thank you amphibia, for 3 solid years of heartfelt laughs. ill always love you
