I absolutely love Anne Carson's work so much. I see a lot of her stuff circulating that has those "not if it's you" moments that are iconic and prevalent in a lot of her play adaptations! her writing style and beauty of her words is honestly so inspiring for one, and comforting. especially in Antigonick.

love how zuko is just like a little shit at the beginning bc like that’s so vital to understanding him bc like! abuse made him a worse person! while he tries to justify that it made him stronger, made him have to struggle for everything, all it did was make everything seem like a struggle to him. he's mean! he's mean and he hurts people and he's just awful! because trauma doesn’t make you more empathic or more kind, it just makes you more traumatised, and it just makes you angry and aggressive and vindictive because it’s easier to hate everything and hate yourself than it is to confront the idea that someone you love a lot hurt you in unimaginable ways. and that does not excuse any of his actions, but it shows so clearly he's a scared child hurting people because hurt is what he knows. he's not a bad person- he needs help- but he’s still really shitty! he doesn’t react to his trauma by being quiet and sad, or by somehow becoming better- he lashes out at others and views even innocents as a threat to a degree. because abuse doesn’t help. it doesn’t improve you. the harsh lesson is going through trauma and strife doesn’t make you stronger, it just makes you traumatised, and unaddressed trauma can make you act in horrible ways. and that doesn’t make you irredeemable- of course it doesn’t, zuko isn’t malicious, he's just been indoctrinated and groomed since a young age, which isn’t his fault, he was a child. but it also doesn’t let you off the hook.

Idk about the punz stuff, but from what I've gathered apperantly yesterday on stream tommy went on Reddit and people were being awful and spamming ranboo's face on there and tommy showed it on stream, scrolled away, went back, scrolled away again, went back *again* and then proceeded not to mention it and then didn't delete the vod for 5 hours

Also with ranboo there's word that he trauma-dumped in fans dms (I personally feel like this is an exagheraration but probably has *some* truth to it considering that he used to vent in his sub only channel on discord) and also reached out to black fans to help him plan out the apology (this part I'm sure is completely true, it's just disappointing knowing how he handled it when he had asked members of his community)

yeah the tommy reddit thing is so baffling to me cause i love him but bro is CLUELESS sometimes. regardless of my opinion on ranboo it is sucky that his personal info was getting leaked and spammed. obviously tommy didn't do it out of spite or anything, it most likely was just shock/didn't realize ppl could see his screen/completely blanked. not like an excuse or anything but an explanation at least? i just don't know why he DIDNT DELETE THE FUCKING VOD FOR 5 HOURS 😭😭😭 maybe he'll say smth maybe he won't tbh idrc bc it wasn't malicious or anything, just a really hilariously bad situation liek i cant even be mad this is just too funny to me

as far as the other ranboo stuff i'm literally not shocked or surprised AT ALL cause ranboo has a habit of airing out personal shit to resonate w his audience, the apology thing is just funny cause howd he literally peer review that shit and STILL FLOP 💀
