Heroics
Firefighter!Natasha Romanoff x Female Reader
On Halloween, you and Natasha participate in the fire department’s trick or treat event
Note: More flufftober softness! I love firefighter Nat so much. Enjoy this one!
Flufftober Masterlist, Main Masterlist
You were so excited when Natasha asked you to help with the annual trick or treat at the firehouse. All of the firefighters buy way too much candy and spend way too much time decorating, but all of the local families love the event.
Natasha’s very casual about things, so you had no idea she was as excited as you. But as you get ready in the bathroom, Nat waits anxiously by the door.
“Are you ready yet, babe?” She asks, glancing at her watch.
“Almost,” you say. “We have time Natasha.”
“I know. I just want to be there,” she explains. “I’ll go warm the car up.”
You finish the final touches of your costume. Natasha insisted that you both wear costumes, so you insisted that you would wear a couples costume. She didn’t love the idea, but with some convincing she said yes.
So, you bought the supplies and made homemade superhero costumes. It made sense to make Natasha the hero that she is and to be her partner in crime.
“You look good,” Nat says when you get into the car.
“Yeah?”
“Mhm, if you don’t have any world saving to do later maybe we can spend some time alone?” Natasha flirts.
She leans over the center console and kisses you. Her hand rests against your thigh. The tight material of your leggings allows you feel her hand through them.
“The world can wait,” you say when she finally breaks the kiss.
Natasha chuckles and starts to drive. When you arrive, a lot of the firefighters are already there. You see Carol and Steve setting up tables, so you walk to them.
“Nice look, Romanoff,” Carol says.
“And what might you be, Danvers?” Nat asks. She’s wearing her usual work uniform.
“I’m a firefighter,” Carol replies simply.
“Lame,” you say without thinking much of it. And then you realize what you said.
“Damn, Nat you’ve got a harsh one here,” Carol jokes.
“I’m sorry,” you say.
“Don’t apologize, babe. It is lame,” Natasha says. She takes your hand in hers. “I want better effort next year.”
Carol laughs and you and Nat go to set up your own table. Natasha puts out the decor while you put the candy into bowls. It’s all ready to go when the kids begin to arrive.
Most of them are sweet with their trick or treating, and they are all so cute in their costumes.
Natasha smiles and grabs your arm when she sees a little girl dressed up as a firefighter.
“Hey, look at this! You look amazing, sweetheart,” Natasha tells the girl. She walks around the table and puts candy in her bucket.
“Honey, can you say thank you?” A woman, seemingly her mother, asks her.
The little girl looks up at Natasha and then she suddenly steps forward and hugs her legs.
“Oh,” Natasha says as the girl clings to her.
“I’m sorry,” the woman says. She reaches for the girl, but she doesn’t budge. “She lost her home in a fire last year, but really what she remembers is a firefighter with red hair carrying her out.”
You look to Natasha and see realization covering her face. She remembers most calls she goes on. And she remembers this one.
Nat shifts the little girl against her legs and kneels down to her level.
“I’m Natasha,” she says. “I remember you. What is your name again?”
“Alison,” the girl says. “You saved me.”
“I’m so happy to see you again, Alison. Thank you for coming here,” Nat says.
The girl smiles shyly and Nat stands back up. She grabs a couple of more handfuls of candy and puts them in her bucket.
“Don’t tell anyone,” Nat says, with a wink.
The girl giggles and her mom thanks Natasha as well. The whole interaction has her emotions running wild. It’s not often she actually gets to see people she’s helped again.
The family moves on and for the next couple of hours many children come and go. Natasha is excited for each one, but by the end of the night she’s exhausted. She excuses herself inside. After a few minutes, you go after her.
You find her sitting on the couch and staring into space.
“Hey, baby. You okay?” You ask her. You stand by the door and wait for her to wave you in. She does so quickly and you sit next her on the couch.
“Yeah, I’m actually really good,” Nat says. “Just tired.”
“Seeing that kid again must’ve been crazy,” you say.
“It definitely made me feel like what I do really matters.”
“I’ve been telling you, baby. You’re a superhero,” you say.
Natasha kisses you on the cheek and pulls you close.
“Do you ever think about us having kids?” She asks.
“I do,” you reply. “I think it’s something we could do.”
“Me too,” Nat agrees. She rests her head on your shoulder.
The two of you sit for a while and just exist together. Nothing more needs to be said for now.
All you know is that she finally saw just how huge her impact is today and that you had the best Halloween of your life.
Natasha Romanoff is the treat of a lifetime.

Decorations
Natasha Romanoff x Female Reader
Natasha wants to decorate the house as a new fall tradition for your family
Note: Happy flufftober! Here’s my first fic. Enjoy it!
Flufftober 2023 Masterlist, Main Masterlist
During your relationship so far, Natasha hasn’t really wanted to do anything special for the fall. October was just another month to her. You got used to that, so you never expected it to change.
But today, Natasha wakes up with fall activities at the forefront of her mind.
“Detka, wake up,” she says into the morning light. “We have to go shopping.”
You grunt and roll over to look at her. She sounds like she is talking nonsense.
“What?” You ask her. “What time is it?”
“7:30,” Nat answers casually.
“Too early,” you mumble. You try to pull the covers over your head, but Natasha stops you.
“Our sweet girl will be up soon,” she says.
“So, we should sleep until then.” Your daughter is in an energetic phase. You love seeing her come out of her shell, but she has too much energy for early mornings.
“You need to wake up so we can get ready,” Nat says. “I have some things I want to do today.”
“Natasha, please,” you say.
She loves the way you pout at her. She kisses it away. Her plan to wake you up is successful as you can’t resist her kisses. Nat shifts so you’re pinned under her. The weight of her wakes you up further.
“You’re evil,” you say as she kisses your lips deeply.
She kisses you for a few minutes before you hear the sound of little feet running towards your room. You brush your knee between her legs and Natasha practically growls. She didn’t hear the little girl, so she tries to kiss you again, but you push her off you.
“No,” Natasha mumbles as she falls back on the bed.
You chuckle at her antics.
“Mama! Mommy! The sun is up!” Ali says as she comes to your side of the bed.
“Yes, it is, baby,” you reply. “Come on up.”
The little girl crawls onto the bed and Natasha wraps her in her arms. She kisses her temple and holds her close.
“So, I was thinking we could decorate for fall/Halloween today. What do you both think?” Natasha asks.
“Really?” Ali asks. Her face lights up at the idea, but soon falls. “Scary stuff?”
“No, malyshka. Nothing scary,” Nat assures her. “Just some pumpkins, haybales, maybe even a scarecrow.”
“Where’s this coming from?” You ask your wife.
“I don’t know,” Nat says. “I just realized I kind of want to be one of those tacky fall families that decorate for the season. I want that for our kids.”
You nod in understanding. Nat has slowly opened up about her opinions about how to raise your kids with the older Ali gets and the prospect of more kids soon.
“Well, then we have some shopping to do,” you say.
“Can I wear my pumpkin shirt Auntie Wanda got me?” Ali asks.
“Absolutely,” you agree. “Let’s go get ready.”
With that, your little family of three is out of bed and gets ready to go shopping. You go to Target for a few inflatables, the farmer’s market for haybales and pumpkins, and finally make a stop at the grocery store for fall themed snacks and drinks.
When you get back home, you turn on a fall playlist and help Natasha decorate the house. She mostly does the work while you wrangle Ali from running around crazy. Maybe a caramel apple with M&M’s on it was too much sugar for a three-year-old.
“What do you think?” Natasha asks, stepping back from the house.
There are pumpkins, haybales, and a scarecrow in the front yard with more pumpkins and a fake black widow spider you convinced her you needed on the porch. The yard also has a Charlie Brown great pumpkin that Ali wanted. It’s perfect.
“I love it,” you answer. “You did amazing, my love.”
“Thanks,” Nat says, a smile on her face. She lifts Ali into her arms. “What do you think, Ali baby?”
“The spider is my favorite,” Ali replies.
“Really? I thought it might be a little scary,” you say.
“No, because Mama is a black widow, and she isn’t scary,” Ali reasons.
You and Natasha both laugh. Nat can be a little scary, but you won’t tell Ali that. After all, the woman who wanted to wake up and decorate the house for fall couldn’t be that scary.
The house looks perfect, and you feel a new tradition has begun. You can’t wait for next fall with your perfect family.

The Sweetest Treat
Kate Bishop x Female Reader
Kate invites the Barton’s to New York for Halloween and you spend the night watching her shine with happiness
Note: Woohoo flufftober! Here’s another soft one!
Flufftober Masterlist, Main Masterlist
When Kate said that her Avenger friend, Hawkeye, was going to bring his kids to New York for Halloween, you weren’t sure what to expect.
She had only just started dating you when she met Clint and all of her life began to change. It wasn’t easy on her to lose her mother to prison, but her relationship with Clint and his wife helped her feel better.
You just know that you’re grateful to them and can’t wait to meet them today. Kate has her apartment decorated for the holiday and is practically bouncing off the walls excited for them to arrive.
“Do you think we bought enough candy?” Kate asks as she waits by the door.
“I think we have enough for all of New York,” you joke. She nods seriously. “Kate, baby, don’t worry. There’s plenty for Clint’s kids and plenty for trick or treaters.”
“You’re right,” Kate says. “I just want to make sure they’re happy. I had a great time meeting them at Christmas, but what if things aren’t as good this time?”
“It’s going to be amazing, Kate Bishop. You’re amazing and there’s nothing that’s gonna change that,” you encourage her.
She smiles and hugs you. Your head falls perfectly against her chest as you soak up the warm affection.
“I love you. Did you know that?” Kate asks.
“Mhm, I sure did. I love you too,” you say.
You stay in each others arms until you’re interrupted by a knock on the door. Kate opens the door.
The youngest kid practically barges in before he’s held back by his mother.
“Hi everyone,” Kate says, her smile beaming. “Come on in.”
“Thank you, Kate,” Laura says. You recognize her from photos that Kate brought home after Christmas. She hugs Kate and looks to you. “And you must be, y/n.”
“Yes ma’am,” you say. “It’s nice to meet you.”
“You too,” Laura says. Her attention is stolen by her young son running around the apartment already. “Excuse me.”
“Hey Kate,” Clint greets her now. He looks at her almost softly. You know she values his place in her life.
“Hawkeye,” she greets him with a laugh that he shares.
“Lila’s been excited to see you again,” Clint says quietly so only you and Kate and can hear him. “She thinks you’re cool. Her words, not mine.”
Kate’s eyes shine at his words. You can already see the impact this family has on her.
Lila and Cooper had made themselves comfortable on the couch. Kate leads you over to the teenagers.
“Hey guys,” Kate says. “This is my girlfriend, y/n. Y/n, this is Cooper and Lila.”
“Hey, nice to meet you both!” You say. “Kate told me all about the card games y’all played at Christmas. If we ever play, just know you’re all going down.”
“We’ll see about that,” Lila says. You like her already.
“What have you been up to?” Kate asks Lila.
They catch up on life and you love watching them interact. Kate seems lighter already. A few hours pass and it’s time for the kids to get ready to go trick or treating.
Nate is dressed up and so is Cooper. He doesn’t seem like he wanted to but his little brother wanted to wear matching costumes.
“Do I have to go?” Lila asks her parents. She’s not wearing a costume, but they still want her to go walk around with them.
“She can stay with us,” Kate jumps in. “We’re going to pass out candy.”
“Please Mom, can I?” Lila pleads.
“Alright,” Laura agrees. “Be good.”
“I’m always good,” Lila says.
“I know,” her mom says. “All three of you be good.”
You all nod and see the rest of the Barton’s out of the apartment. Kate turns on a fun Halloween playlist and you give out candy as the trick or treaters come. You love watching her interact with the kids. She always compliments their costumes.
The night is winding down and Kate is giving out candy to the last few kids in the building. You sit on the couch and sip on a warm apple cider.
“Can I ask you something?” Lila suddenly turns to you and asks.
“Sure,” you say, sitting upright a bit more. Her tone seems serious.
“How did you know you were in love with Kate?” Lila asks. She looks away like she’s scared of the answer.
“Oh, well it was a really interesting sensation. I just kind of looked at her one day and I thought yeah I love this girl,” you say. “It wasn’t some epiphany as much as it was just something that felt right.”
Lila nods and her eyes tell you she wants to say more.
“Why do you ask?” You press.
“No reason,” she shrugs. “I just- I might be at that point with someone and I was just curious.”
“Ah, I see,” you say. The girl smiles nervously. “Follow your heart, Lila. And you just might find that it leads you to the place you’ve always belonged.”
“Thank you, y/n,” Lila says. She hugs you.
“Of course,” you reply, hugging her back.
“Aw man,” you hear Kate’s voice. “I’m going to replaced by you now.”
“No one could ever replace you Kate,” Lila says. Kate sits next to her on the couch and wraps her arm around her shoulder. “Y/n is cool though.”
“Isn’t she?” Kate asks. “I got the best treat of all.”
“You’re an absolute cheeseball,” you tease her.
Kate smiles softly. You end up turning on a movie and relaxing until the rest of the Barton’s get back to the apartment. You enjoy hearing about Nate’s night.
Kate lays down with you that night so content that it makes you emotional. You kiss her softly and fall into a deep sleep.
She’s the sweetest treat indeed.

Pumpkin Pie
Florence Pugh x Reader
Florence does a fall themed Cooking With Flo and invites you to help
Note: Yay flufftober! And Cooking With Flo! Enjoy this fluff!
Flufftober Masterlist, Main Masterlist
“Hello everyone!” You hear your girlfriend in the kitchen say into her phone. “It’s time for another Cooking With Flo!”
She does her usual spiel asking how everyone is and what they’re up to as if she is on live. You enter the kitchen and she smiles at you.
“Come here,” she says.
“Oh, I don’t think I should,” you say quietly.
She pauses her recording.
“Please! Darling, I promise I’ll do all the cooking. You just have to sit here and look pretty,” Flo says. You can’t argue with her.
You cross the room and hug her as she turns the camera back on. Florence starts another video with you holding her from behind. You rest your head on her shoulder.
“Today we will be making a pumpkin pie!” Flo says.
“That’s my favorite,” you say.
“I know, babe,” Flo says. She kisses your cheek and gets to work showing the camera the ingredients.
You step from behind her and turn on some fall themed music. Florence dances along.
She makes the pie and shares little quips with you as she does so. You’re sure the comments are going crazy, but Florence doesn’t mind.
“So, I’m going to pop this in the oven and we’ll report back when it’s finished!” Florence says. “Oh, I almost forgot to tell you how long to cook it for.”
Florence giggles before telling the audience more information about cooking. You love watching her in her element.
While it’s in the oven, you and Flo talk about anything and everything. She records a few videos with updates from her life.
When the pie is ready, you video her taking it out of the oven.
“It’s perfect!” She says. “Yay! Look baby!”
“I see it, Flo. Great job,” you tell her.
She sets the pie on the counter and pulls the phone from your hand. Flo takes your face in her other hand and kisses your cheek soundly.
“The last step is to enjoy the pie with your friends and family. Someone you love,” Florence says. “Thanks for watching!”
She turns off the camera and posts the final video. You smile at her as she cuts you both a piece of the pie.
“I love you,” you tell her.
“I love you too, pumpkin,” Florence says with a giggle.
You kiss her softly and hold her close. She’s almost as sweet as the pie she made.
