Irenic. (Finished! Ch. 48/48; Tobirama x OC)
Tumblr media
Sometimes life is decided in a mere second.
A decision Akiko Uchiha, younger sister of Madara Uchiha, believes in with all her heart - and yet one that seemingly cost her everything. But for as long as she could remember, she had one dream: peace. And for this dream, she is forced to give up everything indeed. Yet sometimes the brightest things are born of the deepest tragedies and thus, when Akiko Uchiha took up her arms and ran, she had no idea what fortune had in store for her.
Warnings: Grapic violence, (canon) character death, canon violence, enemies to friends to lovers, slow burn, hurt/comfort
Finished! At 310k, I finally managed to bring this story to an end. If you care to read it - or if you're just curious:

I was there, standing on top of that mountain where I could see the sunset that covered the village below with golden light. After so many battles, Konoha finally flourished in peace.
Peace that hadn’t existed in my heart for a long time since I met her: Alexia.
──
In the heart of the war between Senju and Uchiha, in the small moments when there was a truce, I, Tobirama, youngest son of the general of the Senju clan liked to get away from all that suffering for a while. During the day, I found a way to escape to the river, just to be able to see and hear the current that followed its path without caring about what happened on its banks. It just flowed.
And it was there, on one of those days, that I saw a little paper boat with a yellow flower inside going down through the crystal-clear water, and then one more and another. Like the curious child that I was, I went up the river in the opposite direction of the boats, until I saw her.
A little girl with long, black hair messed up by the wind. She was kneeling on the riverbank and placing paper boats with colorful flowers in the water one by one, while her black eyes watched them move away. Until her eyes fell on me, and we stood staring without saying anything on either side of the river. Then, she got up, smiled at me and disappeared into the forest.
──
Without realizing it, a soft smile curved my lips as I remembered that day. How the silent meeting of two children could change so much.
──
After that meeting, I went to the river more often, wanting to see her again. But it was weeks before I saw the little boats go down the current once again. I found her in the same place and this time, I walked over and crouched down next to her.
“Why do you do it?” I asked.
She looked at me with those dark orbs, smiled and responded as if it were the simplest thing in the world.
“Because I think it’s beautiful.”
I saw her pick up another little boat with a red flower and place it in my hand. I quickly put it in the water and saw it go away down the river. I smiled without realizing it.
“See? It’s so pretty,” she said and looked at me again. “I’m Alexia. And you?”
“Tobirama,” I replied, hiding my surname, because during the war it wasn’t wise to say it to strangers and apparently, she knew that as she didn’t say hers either.
We stayed there talking for hours, without ever saying where we came from, until I heard my brother Hashirama calling me from inside the forest. I went home but not before making her promise that we would see each other again, right there.
The months passed and as the war worsened, our meetings began to become rarer, until she never appeared again.
──
I felt a lonely tear run down my face. Even though we were just children, the loss of my first love hurt a lot.
But I moved on with my life, and during the following years, thanks to the war, I didn’t have much time to rummage through the past. Until...
──
Until, at the peak of my 21 st year, I became the second-best ninja in my clan, second only to my older brother.
Even though the years passed, and I became a man, I still had the childhood habit of going to the river.
That day, I bent down to wash my face in the cool water, and I felt my heart speed up when I saw a little paper boat with a pink flower touch my hand.
I ran as fast as I could, going upstream and I saw her... she was there and looked at me as if she was waiting for me.
Her black hair, now longer, swayed in the breeze. Her body, that was once small and thin, had become beautiful and curvy. She was a woman now, but her eyes, oh those dark eyes, were still the same ones that haunted my memories.
I approached, and the only thing I could say was her name.
“Alexia...”
Without knowing why, or without caring if I was going to be rejected, I kissed her. That old childhood love turned into an urgent desire to erase all that longing that I had stored deep within my being. Alexia responded to me with passion. She seemed to feel the same thing as me, and she wanted to make up for all the lost time.
We pulled away from each other with difficulty, but the feeling of being complete surrounded us like a golden aura. We didn’t need to say anything to know that time hadn’t changed the feelings of the two children.
We talked and kissed for hours on end, until we heard sounds coming from the forest, and before I knew it, she broke away from my embrace, looking me in the eyes and said:
“Tobirama, I need to tell you something very important.” Her face became serious. “Meet me here tomorrow night. Please don’t miss it.”
I nodded and let her go.
I didn’t know that conversation would change my entire life.
──
The night of our meeting had arrived. I managed to leave without being seen by my brother and went towards the agreed location. My hands were sweating, and my heart was racing with every step I took. I thought what I felt years ago was a child’s thing, but the closer I got, the more I knew I was madly in love with that woman. When I arrived, she was already there waiting for me, her gaze fixed on the waters of the river. She seemed sad and that made me worried.
“Alexia, are you alright?” I asked and without waiting for an answer, I hugged her.
Feeling her warm body pressed against mine, the kiss was inevitable. It started out soft, but when she opened the way for our tongues to mee, I could no longer resist. We made love right there, on the riverbank, listening to the water run and taking our secret with it.
Leaning on my body, I heard her soft cry and little by little, hot tears touched my chest, making me look at her.
“What happened? Did I hurt you?” I said with concern.
“That’s not it,” she got up and started to dress up. “This shouldn’t have happened. Not without telling you first.”
“Telling me what?” I started to worry even more, seeing her crying.
“I know who you are, Tobirama Senju,” she whispered between tears, emphasizing the word ‘senju’. “And I... I am... Alexia Uchiha.”
My heart almost stopped when I heard her say her full name. It couldn’t be true. It couldn’t... the girl I loved since I was a child, the girl I loved there, on the riverbank, was from that damn clan that had been at war with my family and friends for years. I looked at that familiar and now strange face for several moments, until she broke the deadly silence that hung on us.
“I wanted to tell you sooner, but I was afraid,” she took a step towards me. “Say something, Tobirama.”
“Alexia... Uchiha...” I could only repeat her name, still not believing that joke of fate.
She got closer to me, and with her trembling hand she tried to touch me, but my body involuntarily took a step back, avoiding the contact.
“Please, say something,” her voice was already starting to get exasperated with my silence. “Say that this doesn’t change anything. Say that you love me. Say that everything will be alright. Just say... say it and I will wait for you.”
But I didn’t say it. Even though my heart was screaming like crazy inside my chest, I didn’t say the words that she wanted to hear. I couldn’t.
I caught a glimpse of her beautiful eyes fading with the tears that came flooding back before she left.
──
When I found out who that little boy was in the river, I knew I had to stay away for my safety and his. However, the war helped me maintain my decision. I was sent to another village along with other women and children who could not fight. But fate found a way to bring us together again many years later. I wanted to see him, see how he grew up and try to make possible that childish love that I always carried in my chest, despite the situation.
An Uchiha and a Sunju. It seemed like a joke, but I didn’t care. I wanted to fight for that feeling.
But...
But my hope faded that night, after we made love. He ran away from my touch like running away from a venomous snake when he learned the truth. I saw the hurt in his eyes, and anger. I was willing to face everything and everyone for us, I just needed to hear him say it. But the words didn’t come.
──
After that fateful night, I still hadn’t given up on us. Maybe he just needed some time to put his thoughts in order, maybe there was still hope. But I was wrong.
Every day that followed, I went to the riverbank and one by one, I placed the little paper boats with flowers in the current and watched them slowly descend into the clear waters, waiting to hear his footsteps on the gravel. The long-awaited steps never came.
And every time, I cried. But this time, I held back the tears and noticed that someone placed a coat over my shoulders and spoke to me in a soft voice.
“Alexia, what are you doing here?” he said in a worried smile. “It’s getting cold. Let’s go before you get sick."
I looked at him as I stood up. His long, black hair was tousled because of the wind, which I didn’t even realize was blowing strongly, and his dark eyes, so similar to mine, stood out from the strong, beautiful face that smiled at me. Madara Uchiha, the new leader of the clan. I had known him for a long time, but only at that moment did I really pay attention to him. I took one last look at the waters of the river and followed him back home.
──
That image of Alexia waiting for me, words I didn’t say and the sadness in her eyes, the plea in her voice haunted my thoughts.
Every day I went to the river, and I saw, day after day, the little paper boats going down the river. I knew they were for me, that she was waiting for me just behind that curve. But my pride prevented me from going there and taking her in my arms and never letting her go.
Another little boat came down and came closer to my feet, and before I could pick it up, it sank and dissolved in the water. I didn’t know why, but that image made me cry. Nevertheless, I still didn’t go after her.
──
A year has passed since that day, and there have never been any paper boats for me on the river again.
Same bed, but it feels just a little bit bigger now
Our song on the radio, but it don’t sound the same
When our friends talk about you, all it does is just tear me down
‘Cause my heart breaks a little when I hear your name
It all just sounds like ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
And as the world loves to play tricks, that same year the battle between the Senju and Uchiha clans ended, beginning an alliance that led to the founding of Konoha. If I had said something, if I had waited...
Mm, too young, too foolish to realize
That I should have bought you flowers and held your hand
Should have gave you all my hours when I had the chance
Take you to every party ‘cause all you wanted to do was dance
Now my baby’s dancing, but she’s dancing with another man
But I hadn’t said anything, I hadn’t waited, and I lost her. Now, we live in the same village, our families are no longer enemies and there is no more war. But it’s too late for us.
My pride, my ego, my needs, and my selfish ways
Caused a good strong woman like you to walk out of my life
Now I never, never get to clean up the mess I made, oh
And that haunts me every time I close my eyes
It all just sounds like ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
I see her almost every day, but her eyes don’t look at me anymore and her smile doesn’t shine for me. Now, another man holds her hand, another man is the owner of her look and the reason for her smile.
Mm, too young, too foolish to realize
That I should have bought you flowers and held your hand
Should have gave you all my hours when I had the chance
Take you to every party ‘cause all you wanted to do was dance
Now my baby’s dancing, but she’s dancing with another man
Although it hurts
I’ll be the first to say that I was wrong
Oh, I knw I’m probably much too late
To try and apologize for my mistakes
But I just want you to know
I could see him day after day gluing together, piece by piece, Alexia’s heart, which I broke. Healing her wings, which I hurt, and giving her the love that, out of pride, I couldn’t give.
I hope he buys you flowers, I hope he holds you hand
Give you all his hours when he has the chance
Take you to every party
‘Cause I remember how much you loved t dance
Do all the things I would have done
When I was your man
And today, I’m here, at the top of this mountain. Down there, I can hear the happy laughter and the music that rose up to me.
It was Alexia’s wedding, my Alexia... I lost her the moment I was too weak to say I loved her.
My life ended there, on the edge of that river. Those waters witnessed who foolish I was, how my hatred and my pride took from me the woman I loved my entire life.
The sun had already set on the horizon and the stars were beginning to emerge in the dark blue sky. That was when I noticed someone approaching, a servant, who handed something into my hand that made my heart skip a beat.
It was a paper boat with a white flower. My eyes clouded with the threat of tears, until I saw that there seemed to be something written on the paper. I unfolded the little boat and read the words that seemed a little shaky.
‘Tobirama,
I want you to know that despite what happened between us, I have no regrets. On the contrary, you will always be in my heart, as my first love. It’s a shame that it’s too late for both of us, but I wish from the bottom of my soul that you find someone, and that you don’t let your pride speak louder than your love again. Be happy.
Alexia.’
As I read that, my fists clenched the paper tightly and the little flower fell apart on the floor. And I couldn’t hold it back any longer. I fell on the ground and cried, cried until my eyes had no more tears to cry.
I cried for the lost love. I cried for the future without Alexia. I cried for the regret of not having said the words she expected to hear. And I cried even more for having my heart in pieces while my pride remained whole.

Hi :)
This is for that one anon whose request I've mistaken for something else.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hmm where do I start? Honestly, this whole TobiMada family thing that I thought of first came out to be angsty lol.
Like how Tobirama and Madara get together, or how it's possible for Madara to get preggo (not a/b/o). The original back story I had in mind can be defined as "it gets worse before it gets better".
But enough of that- let's just say they both lived happily ever after with many kids.
Please know that I'm poop with names so I just reused a bunch.
1st born - Quadruplets
Izuna (1st) was named after his late uncle. He is the Uchiha clan heir and the biggest troll Konoha has ever seen. He is also Itama's shoulder to cry/whine on. He may act carefree but he is the best when handling diplomatic missions.
Kawarama (2nd) is very much a grump, short-tempered, and has the issue of people standing behind him. He also happens to be a sensor as strong as his dad but would often get overwhelmed so his brothers are always there for him in case it gets too much. He is very protective of his siblings but he can be overbearing sometimes.
Itama (3rd) is a moody crybaby. He's like the combination of his uncle Hashi and his late uncle Itama. He loves to annoy his brother Kawarama for the sole reason of: "it's because Kawa-Chan makes funny faces when he's mad" even if he gets hit in the head and loses a few brain cells. He is also very well-loved by the people of Konoha as his character and behavior remind them of their previous Hokage (Hashirama). He is also expected to be the 3rd Hokage when Tobirama retires from the position.
Sousuke (4th) loves playing with fire. No words can describe the number of forest fires he's caused or the small villages he accidentally burned down. He's a pretty chill guy and very very straightforward with his words. He is socially awkward but he tries his best. He is considered a good team leader and would often be sent on S-rank missions, even if he prefers to do it alone. Some would say that his strength and thirst for a good fight came from his mother (they're not wrong tho).
2nd born - Triplets
Satsuki (1st) has a very poised and dignified persona. She loves dressing up in expensive kimonos with intricate designs. She doesn't listen to anyone's bs unless they wish for a painful death by drowning. She has received many suitors from different clans but none fit her high standards (Tobirama's practically leaping with joy as his daughter will stay as his princess forever. Or so he thought). She is also an Iryo-nin along with her two sisters.
Makoto (2nd) is a perfectionist. She is also a clean freak and practically tidies up any mess her sisters make. She loves to read books let be they novels, or medical texts. She's not one to dress as fancy as Satsuki but she'll let herself be dressed up like a doll as long as her sisters won't bother her for the next hour. Most of the time oblivious when someone is interested in courting her. She has a history of "accidentally" sending her suitors to a friend zone.
Nagisa (3rd) is very energetic and adventurous. Not disgusted with handling anything, even bugs (for which Satsuki and Makoto would lose their vocal cords). She loves trying out new things and would often encourage her sisters to join her in it. She is also the mediator when her sisters bicker too much. Has been in many relationships before but it doesn't last because her partners couldn't keep up with her. (her dad and older brothers take very much care of her exes, and the twins are glad to have another to add to their collection).
3rd born - Twins
Hikaru (1st) and Kaoru (2nd) are two peas in a pod. They won't do anything without each other. Are born prodigies and have made many of their own jutsus. Unintentionally handling S-rank missions (only because of how often they get the unfortunate chance of being dragged into one) leads to gaining Jonin-rank at a young age. They dissect (animals) to study the organ system, skeletal structure, find the cause of death, etc. They received a human cadaver on their 10th birthday after presenting the things they've studied through years of dissecting and the council found it beneficial to give them the chance in order to contribute to the greater good of medicine.
4th born
Harumi is the epitome of sunshine and rainbows. It would take a lot of convincing for people outside Konoha to believe that this little girl is a spawn of Senju Tobirama and Uchiha Madara. She has mastered the deadly "puppy dog eyes" and has made uncle Hashi her favorite victim. She was a surprise to the family. Madara never thought that he'd conceive again with his age, but nonetheless, he and his husband were ecstatic to meet their youngest. Tobirama would drop everything he was doing if his little Harumi ever requested to be carried. Harumi got called "Hime" as a joke at first but the Senju and Uchiha both agreed that she is indeed a "Hime" and nothing would change that.

………………………………………………………………………….
“I don't want to go to the academy, Ka-chan.”
The tall woman sighed, pushing her short red hair out of her face as she dragged the little 5-year-old.
“Chibi-chan…I know you don't want to go, but you have to.”
The little girl puffed her cheeks, glaring forward, “it's gonna stink.”
The red-haired woman sighed, adjusting her yukata as she walked, “and remember, Kushina-san is going to pick you up because I have to return to the capital.”
The little girl frowned, fist-grabbing her dress skirt while she willed tears not to rise. The Academy was in view and she couldn't help but look down at her feet as they walked.
As the got to the entrance the woman smiled, raising a hand in greeting, “Sakumo-kun, hey!”
The white-haired man jumped a bit, startled by the red-haired woman's loud voice. When he saw who it was, he returned the smile and nervously waved back, “Lisa-Hime, Kon'nichiwa.”
He looked down at the small girl, who ducked behind her mother's leg. She peaked out, studying the white-haired man with calculating eyes. Looking to his side, she was surprised to she a mini version of him but with a mask.
She furrowed her brows at him, and he glared back.
The man placed his hand on the little boy's head, ruffling his spiky hair.
“You remember Lisa-Hime, right Kakashi?”
The woman laughed lightly, “Probably not…been a while since we've been away from the capital…”
She nudged the girl out, “(Y/n)…this is my very good friend Hatake Sakumo, and his son Kakashi. Sakumo and I were on the same Genin team.”
The girl cautiously came out from behind her mother, cheeks red as she bowed.
“Its very nice to meet you!”
Sakumo nervously laughed, “gosh, last time you brought her to the village she was just a baby.”
He smiled down at the girl, “it's very nice to meet you too, (Y/n)-hime.”
He nudged the boy, “Kakashi, why don't you and (Y/n)-hime walk to the classroom together?”
The boy frowned but nodded silently, and looked at the Girl.
“…lets go.”
She nodded with a light blush, following him as he walked through the gate.
The parents watched, Lisa biting her thumb nail as she watched the little girl disappear.
Sakumo huffed with a smile, “…never thought we'd be parents.”
Lisa snorted, “I was never going to be a parent, but you? You were always going to be a dad Sakumo, your too…”
He huffed, “too what?”
She smirked, “dog like.”
He pursed his lips, looking away, “…im not dog Like.”
She chuckled, her teeth still butting at her nail.
He looked over at her, frowning at her nail-biting, “I see you still have that habit.”
She narrowed her green eyes at him, and he chuckled.
“I do not, Baka…”
Opening my eyes, I groaned quietly. Inching my way to my alarm clock, I died a little inside when it read “7:20am”.
Great, only 4 hours of sleep.
I rolled onto my back, staring up at the ceiling as Saké jumped onto the bed to great me. He cried, pawing at me as he demanded to be let out of my tiny room so that he could get breakfast. He’ll probably bother Genma for it, Genma usually spoils the Ragdoll by feeding him egg scraps.
I sit up, scooting to the end of the bed before sliding on slippers. Looking down at my cloths, I make a face realizing I slept in my work pants. I kick the slippers off before shimming out of my pants, kicking them to the corner. I go to my draw, pulling out cotton shorts.
After getting redressed, I open my door and almost get tripped as Saké darts between my legs to trot down the hall.
“Fucking cat…”
I stumbled down the hall, accidentally bumping the corner as I entered the kitchen/living room area, and groaned. After living in this apartment for four years, you'd think I'd know how to avoid the corners.
I opened the fridge, grabbing the egg crate and the wet cat food. I placed the crate on the counter before grabbing a small bowl from the shelf and putting a spoonful of wet food in it. I placed it on the ground and huffed a laugh as Saké raced over to pig out.
Genma yawned as he walked out of his room, bare-chested. He scratched his head, squinting his eyes, “w…why the hell are you up?”
I clench my jaw, cracking an egg before putting into the pan.
“Meeting about that S-class poison. Forgot all bout it…”
Genma hums, walking over to rest his chin on my shoulder, “Eggs for me too?”
I smile, patting his cheek, “yeah, you too.”
A lot of people thought we were dating since we live together and are very close, but it was only because we found comfort in each other's company. I wouldn't say I'd never date Genma, but as years have gone by he's become like family to me.
He hummed, “how late will you be?”
Shrugging, I dish out two plates of eggs, purposely dropping a good size piece for Saké.
“Not too late, it's just a meeting.”
He nods, taking his plate to the table as begins to eat. I sit down across from him, blowing on my eggs before putting them in my mouth. Biting down, I felt a crunch and frown when I realized shells had gotten in. Extra protein I guess.
Saké, having finished the scrap I dropped for him, now was weaving his body around our legs and loudly begging for more. Genma giggled like a 5-year-old, dropping more for the Ragdoll. He really did spoil that cat.
I stood, emptying the rest of my eggs onto Genmas plate. “Im running late, clean up for me?”
He made a noise, egg in his mouth and I took it as a ‘yes’. I go down the hall To the bathroom, closing the door behind me and locking it.
I pulled my shirt off, then unhooked my bra with a sigh of contentment. I really needed a bra with a better wire, this one stabbed my armpits and didn't support me at all. I than shimmied out of my shorts and underwear, kicking it to the basket.
I then to the mirror, pulling my short hair into a bun. I frown slightly, eyes catching the long ugly scar going down my front.
Rin… did a good job, but she was mediocre at healing scars. I owe her my life, but I couldn't help the itching in the back of my head that told me that the scar made me…ugly. I, of course, know scars are not meant to be seen as ugly, but as marks that show I was still alive…but I still felt that ich.
Jumping into the shower, I scrub myself down from head to toe in lavender soap. It was calming, and coming from a clan that had animal…characteristics on my father's side, the smell wouldn't be too overpowering. I was also thinking of the Inuzuka that would be present, Inuzuka Tsume, and the silver Anbu that would be hiding in the rafters.
After cleaning, I jump out and towel-dry before walking across the hall to my room, getting a low and teasing whistle from Genma.
I walked back out, hitting Genma in the head with a scroll. I walk to the door, pulling my shinobi sandles on.
“sayonara.”
He grinned, “aw, no good bye kiss?”
He began to pucker his lips, making loud smooching sounds as he tried to grab me. I giggle, pushing his face away, “you wish.”
He gasps dramatically, “Oh dear Princess of Konoha! You wound me so!”
I roll my eyes, “Ittekimasu, Genma.”
He smiles, “Ittekimasu, (Y/n). Be safe out there.”
I smile, standing and opening the door, “I always am.”
…………………………………………..……………………………
“…so as you can see, our research shows that the poison drives from Fungis. Now, if we can narrow down which one, we can create the necessary cure and/or antidote.”
I finish, placing my notes down as the rest of the visible people in the room nod, murmuring.
Tsume huff, “and you suggest that the Inuzukas find this mushroom, yes?”
I nod, “Hai. With your powerful sense of smell, this would be elementary level for you.”
Play her, paise her and she'll take the bait.
The older Kunoichi smirked, “hm, so the Chibi Hatake wasn't up for this?”
I bristle a bit, and Inoichi stands, “Anbu have more pressing missions, you however are free since you are just now come I G out of maternity leave.”
She huffed, “second one was harder to train then Hana, not my fault.”
I smiled, “so will you take the mission?”
She waved me off, and I frowned, “Yeah, yeah. I'll do it, just give me the sent so I can get this over with.”
Setsuko walks out, handing the wolfish woman a glass vial containing the poison. Tsume pops the cap open, and blue fumes waft out. She smifts the air around it, careful not to sniff the actual poison. With a shiver, she seals the Vail, “That's a strong smell, how do you work with this Senju-hime?”
My mouth goes into a straight line, and I don't respond. My father's Side was…a touchy subject.
She hums, handing the Vail back to Setsuko. She stands, and Inoichi and Ibiki stand as well, “Arigatō, Tsume-sama. This is very helpful for us.”
She scoffs, waving Inoicho off, “Call it a favor from an old friend.”
He smiles, and the crowfeet by his eyes become more apparent. He walks out with her, and Ibiki follows after. Setsuko and I begin to clear up the office room, gathering the extra poison vials and notes.
I look up, and I see that stupid dog mask smiling down at me as he crouches on a beam. Setsuko looks over, smiling, “ready?”
I roll My neck, “ah, not yet. I'm gonna hang back and read over the notes one more time. I'll catch up, kay?”
The younger girl blushes, nodding, “H-hai, Senju-hime. See you back at the lab.”
She leaves, slipping out the metal door and closing behind her.
“…shes cute.”
“Shes not your type.”
He jumps down, landing soundlessly onto the table, not even making a tube rattle.
“Maa, I wasn't talking about for me.”
“Shes Not my type either, she's 16.”
He huffs lighly, a laugh.
“16? And working in TI?”
I look boredly over at him, “look who's talking, Mr. “I joined Anbu at 13”.”
He leans back on his hands, crisscrossing his legs as he tilts his head playfully, “I was asked.”
I hum, crossing my arms, “still did it.”
He hums back, tilting his head to the other side, “saw what you did, with Tsume-sama. You played her.”
I scoff, “I did no such thing, honestly I'm appalled you'd even suggest I played a clan head.”
I was grinning, and I could tell he was too busy his his chakra warmed a bit.
I furrow my brows at him, “what?”
He gave a snort of a laugh, “your accent.”
I raise my brow, “accent?”
He raised a hand, gesturing to me, “When you talk for long enough, you say things in a snooty capital accent.”
I scoff, laughing as I shove him, “I do not have a snooty capital accent.”
He laughs, jumping off the table, “you do though! Ever since we were kids!”
I roll my eyes, opening the door as he follows After me.
“I don't have an accent…”
He huffed, walking with md to the lab, “It's gotten less noticeable since you first moved here, but it's there.”
I shake my head, opening the door to the lab and peaking in to make sure Setsuko east in there. Sighing, I open it more.
“It was a light accent when I got here! Barely noticeable.”
He scoffed, walking in as I shut the door. He sat down in my rolly chair, “it was so bad I couldn't understand you for two weeks, (Y/n).”
I shake my head, moving over next to him to place the vials back into their protective case. He leans back, watching me.
“It was not a bad accent...”
He chuckles, “no…it was cute, you used to get so frustrated when people picked on you for it. Never seen someone get so red.”
I scoff, looking down at the dog mask.
“Yeah? And was it cute when I punched Ebisu in the face because of it?”
“No, that was hilarious and I wish I had a video of it.”
I roll my eyes at Him, reading over my notes. Kakashi and I were close…we’d been closed since we first met, considering his close our parents were.
Sure…we didn't talk for a sold 2 years after the nine-tails, but now things started to feel normal…even if it was only when he had that stupid Dog mask on. When he didn't, he got quiet, barely speaking when he did talk, and couldn't hold any eye contact. Kskashi without inu…was the same Kakashi who lost his team and family.
But when he had that mask on, he was hiding that side of him. He was fearless, playful, and more open…
It was Inu, not Kakashi.
“Are you coming with all of us to Ichirakus?”
He shifted s bit, his chakra growing colder.
“Ah, no. I have a mission tonight, sorry.”
I frown a bit, concerned. He had been taking back-to-back missions more often, A and S class mostly. My eyes softened for him, understanding why.
It was his escape, however unhealthy it was, he needed the rush of a mission to keep him going. He craved it, like a drug, and no matter how many times he tries to quit he'd go back full force the next day.
The only way he was leaving the anbu was either being pulled…of death.
………………………………………………………………………….
“-AND I WON'T CRY FOR YOU! I WON'T CRUCIFY THE THINGS YOU DoOoO!”
I burst out laughing, leaning drunkenly on Genma as we all watch Gai sing off toon to music from the karaoke massine.
We left Ichiraku hours ago and had stumbled in here after Asuma challenged Gai to a singing competition, and I've got to say, Gsi sure did have some pipes.
Maybe the ciggerets were ruining peoples voices, because Asuma couldn't hold a note to save his life.
Kurenai and Asuma burst out laughing, falling out of their seat as Gai began to dance magic mike style to the music. Gai Really was the life of every party, always so bright and good.
I smiled softly, and I looked over at Genma. Smirking, I follow his eyes to the bar area.
“You should go talk to her.”
His face turned Scarlett, “w-what?! I can't do that!”
I roll mg eyes, “go on. I need the apartment to myself something, you know?”
He kissed my cheek, “thank you wing man.”
I smiled as I watched him go, noticing all my friends were getting tired. Asuma, who was less drunk than Kurenai pulled her up, “I'll walk her Home, you got Gai?”
I nod, smiling, “always.”
“-WE ALL LIVE IN A YELLOW SUBMARINE! A YELLOW SUB-MUFF?!”
I groan, coving the tall mans mouth, “Gai, my love, I beg of you to shut up.”
He smiled lazily, resting his head on mine and we walked to his apartment, “but that song is sooooo youthful.”
I laugh, shaking my head at Him as I help him up the stairs.
“Keys, Gai.”
He clumsily hands them over, and I giggle down at the little turtle charm.
I help him in, steering him towards his room. I wince as I bumps into a corner, but he just giggles.
As soon as he hit his bed, he was out, and I moved his trash can over to his bed if he got sick.
Walking to his kitchen I filled a glass of water up, then went to his bathroom to dig up Advil for his ragging headache that was sure to come in the morning.
After double checking the windows, I close the door behind me. I walk down the stairs, wrapping my jacket closer to my body to protect myself from the cold.
I walked home, eyes on the snowy ground. I was sobering up, and couldn’t help but let my thoughts wonder to my silver headed friend.
He…really was in a hurry to die. Back to back A and S class missions weren’t healthy for any shinobi, especially one with Kakashis mind. It was too…broken, off center.
“I swear, I’m going to force him into therapy..” I mumble as I climb my stairs, opening my door.
I draw back, my sensitive nose filling with the smell of iron.
I draw my kunai out, holding it at the ready as I scan my living room. No one.
I move forward, sensing Chakra from the bathroom.
I silently pad towards the door, kunai up and ready to strike. I twist the knob, and walk in with my sharp canines bared and my kunai raise.
My eyes widen, and I drop the kunai.
“K-Kakashi?”
He looked over at me lazily, sitting in my tub as blood flowed out from his side. Saké, was next to him.
“W-what the fuck?! Why didn’t you go to the hospital?!”
I go to grab him, completely sober now, but he just snaps at me, baring his own canines at me and I only now come to realize both masks are gone.
“N-no. No hospital.” He glares, gasping air as he groans and hits his head on the back wall.
“F-fix me. I-I trust you.”
My eyes widen and I look absolutely terrified, “I-I can’t do medical ninjutsu! You know that!”
He grabs my hand, blood making stains on my skin. His mismatching eyes look at me half lidded, “I. trust. you.”
Then he passes out, slumped over himself and bleeding out in my tub. Of fucking course he does.
I groan, looking up as I will myself not to cry.
“You stupid asshole…”

There is still this big misconception about Hashirama and whether he failed or is a “failed Naruto”. I’m gonna keep this brief because it can be an extensive topic if you want it to be.
So basically the main points are he didn’t break the cycle of hatred and save Madara from the darkness while Naruto on other hand was able to save Sasuke.
I disagree with the statement that he’s a failed Naruto on account of three things.
1, he’s not Naruto, he’s Hashirama. 2, Hashirama was faced with different circumstances, including the person he had to save, Madara Uchiha and how different he is from Sasuke Uchiha. And 3 , this is my own narrative perspective from the story and it’s that it was never Hashirama’a purpose to break the cycle of hatred and save Madara from a narrative standpoint.
Point 1 and 2 can pretty much go together and what I mean by that is that Hashirama isn’t Naruto and he wasn’t faced with the same circumstances or obstacles as Naruto. Hashirama and Madara came from a period were adults and children were in constant state of warring and this would cause both of these two to develop personalities that would be drastically different from Naruto and Sasuke and to take it on an even deeper level, Hashirama and Madara would be different as well. Just because they grew up during the same period doesn’t mean they lived the same lives and were affected by things the same way. Madara became so jaded by the world he grew up in and saw no hope in the dream that he and Hashirama had created together that it would be impossible to convince him to return the light.
Madara even attest to this himself when he’s dying after the ten tails extraction and tells Hashirama that he has always been an optimist after Hashirama tells them that they don’t have to accomplish their dreams in their life time and they can leave it to future generations to accomplish. Remember this point because it’s important to the overall argument. But Madara was right, Hashirama has always been an optimist even proving my point further that Hashirama was not shaped the same way Madara was due to their upbringing in their war torn era.
For point 3, I truly believe Hashirama was never meant to break the cycle of hatred. I believe his role was to build the foundation for characters to build off of, he shaped the village in a way that would become the focal point to Naruto and many others before him like Hiruzen, Jiraiya, Minato, and Kakashi to shaping their ideals and passing them on to the next generation. Hashirama, like I said before literally says something that attest to this thought. When he told Madara what I said before. That their dreams don’t need to accomplished in their life time, that they can pass them down to the next generation. Hashirama didn’t only pass dont the will of the fire but his hopes and dreams of peace which will shape every character who came after him in some way, whether it be directly or indirectly through someone else.
He purpose was to nurture the future generations as much as he could and leave the rest to the future generations to accomplish.
I go into much further detail in my video and I hope you all give it a watch and tell me what you think as it’s broken down much better in that format!

MINE | Tobirama Senju Arranged Marriage AU
Synopsis: Tobirama Senju tries to trust his wife, but years of war has left his ability to trust frayed—and it doesn't help that she's spending more and more time with Madara Uchiha.
Notes: This is a Tobirama x my oc, Miyoko Hirawa, and a snippet from my book Breathe Me on wattpad!! You can find me there by the username @ttipsy- :))
Warnings: Semi-toxic relationship, sexual tension
Enjoy <3 <3
(Lemme know if you want a steamy part two)
Tumblr media
“Don’t turn your back on me.”
At the deep rumble of her husband's voice, Miyoko obeyed, frustrated to her very core. This always happened when the two of them were alone. Despite the fact that they had both agreed to the marriage and had been on good terms at first, the tension between them now was so thick it always left her chest constricting and a strange feeling in her stomach.
This specific day, Tobirama had arrived at their shared home, and like usual, Miyoko had kept to herself, opting to get some paperwork done on the back terrace. Her husband had surprised her, slid the glass doors open and said, “We need to talk.”
The four dreaded words.
And yet, despite the mound of paperwork she had to get done and every one of her instincts telling her to refuse, she had complied. Which had led to a back and forth between them she was now trying to escape.
“It’s unlike you to run from a conversation.” Tobirama mused from his place on the couch, his arms resting on his knees. In the comfort of his own home, Tobirama tended to shed his heavy armor in favor of more comfortable clothing. And that’s what he did now, his white hair loose, curling under his ears, donning a pair of loose yukata pants.
Nothing else.
“It’s unlike you to start a conversation.” His wife replied from her place across the room, arms crossed over her chest, hip resting against the wall as she stared him down.
If it were any other time, Tobirama might have chuckled. Dark unbound hair tumbling down her waist, Miyoko was elegant even in her petty anger. It was this same grace that had captivated him the first time they had met, and he still wasn’t used to it. It was beginning to become a problem.
“If you don't have anything to say, Tobirama,” Liquid gold eyes met his and a zing went through his chest at the way she said his name, “Then I will be retiring to my bedroom.”
“Our bedroom,” He reminded her. “We’ve been married for three months now. You’d do well to remember that.”
“I’m surprised you keep track,” Her eyes raked down his bare torso, back up to his scarlet eyes, raising one shoulder in a delicate shrug. “You're more than welcome to join me. However, I recommend you put on a shirt, lest you be unable to help yourself.”
Tobirama almost scowled at the haughty arch of her chin. The beauty of the heiress of the Hirawa clan was well known to every man who had heard of her, and even the woman herself knew she was as glorious out of clothes as she was in them.
A small smirk graced his lips. “It’s been three months and we have yet to consummate the marriage,” He reminded her. “At this point, there is nothing to help.”
Only a small twitch of a dark brow gave away her annoyance, and the woman turned on her heel, heading towards the bedroom. The next words left his lips before he could stop them.
“Madara,” She stopped walking. “He’s seen the scrolls.”
He wasn’t asking.
Slowly, she turned around, her expression guarded.
“The secret Hirawa scrolls?” She drawled dangerously. “Those scrolls?”
“The ones you’ve forbidden me to see,” The word forbidden felt bitter on his tongue. The fact that he, Tobirama Senju, was forbidden from something, by his wife no less, made his blood boil. “Answer me. Has Madara seen the scrolls?”
“Yes, he has.” She took a step towards him. “But you already knew that. Tell me the truth, Tobirama, I beseech you. Why do you hate the man so much? It was you who killed his brother, not the other way around.”
“And in turn, he has slaughtered many of my clansmen.” He all but growled. “And yet you insist on strengthening your relationship with him.”
She dismissed him with a flick of her wrist. “Our bond has nothing to do with you.”
His eyebrows arched so high it blended with his hair. “Bond? Is that the nature of your relationship with Madara?”
Something sparked in her golden eyes then, and a small, innocent smile tugged at her lips. She took another step toward him, standing between his legs (when had he parted them?), the tip of her finger just barely grazing his thigh.
“My, my, Tobirama,” There it was again—the way she said his name. “Are you jealous?”
“Hardly,” He spat, angry at—at what? At his wife, for the way her hair was swept over her shoulder, the way her throat and collarbone was exposed to him, the way her lips were slightly parted? Or at himself for noticing these things, even when he was supposed to be annoyed at her?
Miyoko pouted. “Pity.”
He gave her a hard look and she sighed.
“Madara,” She began and Tobirama scowled, hating the sound of the Uchiha’s name coming from her lips, “and I have known each other since we were children. One day we snuck into my father’s office and took a peek at the scrolls—even I wasn’t allowed to see them at that age.” She smiled, a bit wistfully. “We got caught of course. Father kicked us out. It isn’t my fault Madara has a near perfect memory.”
He knew that his wife and Madara had known each other in childhood, but he hadn’t expected them to be childhood friends. That would explain their oh-so-secret meetings they held at least once a week, something he had always pretended not to know about. The thought of Miyoko alone with Madara for hours sent a thrill of anger down his throat. That spiky haired demon taunted him every chance he had, hated him and made no effort to hide it. And his wife, who now represented the Senju as much as she represented the Hirawa, was out doing who knows what with his greatest enemy.
Her nail traced his jaw, scattering all his thoughts as he met her eyes once again. He wanted to wipe that smug look off her face, wanted to spring to his feet, grab her by the shoulders and teach her a lesson she won’t soon forget.
“I think we’re done here,” She said, letting her hand fall, and stepping away. Tobirama noticed the absence of her warmth immediately.
“What is it about Madara that fascinates you?” He demanded. “The look in your eyes when you speak of him—it crosses the line of friendship.”
Her eyes narrowed once more. “What is it that you are implying?”
“I'm not implying anything, I am merely observing.” There was no stopping now, the words tumbling from his lips like a mighty waterfall. “You meet with him once a week behind closed doors, you request to be sent on missions with him, the two of you, alone—”
“Tread lightly, Tobirama.” There was a spark of anger in her eyes, though the tone of her voice did not change.
Tobirama’s lips twisted into a cruel smirk, ignoring her warning. “It seems you have a lot of good things to say about Madara yet you don’t even want to have a single conversation with your husband.”
“If my husband had some admirable traits I would speak with him more,” She snapped.
“Since Madara is so admirable perhaps you should have married him instead.”
She looked down at him through dark lashes. “Perhaps I should have.”
Something in Tobirama’s core snapped at those words. Before he knew it, he was on his feet, hands on her shoulders, shoving her against the wall, head bowed so that his gaze met hers.
“Mine,” He growled, the skin of her shoulder that was now revealed from the force of the push only provoking him further. “You’re my wife, you’re mine.”
With her chin raised, golden eyes lingering on his crimson ones intently, it felt like she was looking down at him rather than up. Voice like silk cut through his thoughts.
“Then take what belongs to you.”
And Tobirama went absolutely feral.

Irenic. (Ch. 30, Tobirama x OC)
Length (this chapter): 6,8k. Chapter thirty of Akiko’s story. Inbetween. Nothing comes without a consequence. In the worst despair, truth prevails.
Important note! I won’t update on tumblr anymore. I have a number of reasons for this really, I don’t wish to get into them here. Irenic very much continues, just on AO3. Maybe I’ll keep an updated masterpost or once in a while a comprehensive update, idk. Anyway! Yay for 200k. Thanks for reading and as always, thanks to the wonderful @kuramakakashi for being a wonderful beta-reader!
Read here on AO3! Excerpt below:
Akiko’s eyes flew open.
The sunlight was bright, the smell of the room unfamiliar. Clean. Right across from her was a window, but from this angle she’d only see a clear, blue sky. Her head snapped left and right in an instant. It was a small room, there was a cabinet on a wall; the door seemed to be situated on the wall adjourning the headboard of her -
Bed?
She looked down on her immediately. Clean, white sheets.
Soft cushions. These seemed to befit a feudal lord more.
Akiko blinked several times. Luckily, the Senju kamon was emblazoned on the cabinet - else, she’d genuinely have worried where she might be. With a groan, she finally recognised the blunt pain that seemed to be settled so deeply into her muscles and joints. She wondered if it’d ever go away.
Then again, she was alive.
She hadn’t been so sure if she’d ever open her eyes again.
The ache seemed to spread everywhere - except her left arm. Reflexively, the woman tried to flex her fingers in both hands.
Her left arm wouldn’t obey.
In fact - the whole limb didn’t appear to be there.
Ice-cold panic shot through her veins faster than her right hand could scramble to pull the blanket off of herself.
No, no. This isn’t happening.
Her heartbeat was hammering at the back of her skull when her bandaged torso revealed itself to have, in fact, two appendages - but her left was wrapped in a white bandage all the way up. A small relief, albeit short lived. It did not change anything about her initial finding. With a trembling hand and hasty, frightened fumbling, Akiko started to claw at the wrappings that covered her left arm.
It was just bitten into, it can’t be that-
The fabric unravelled a little to reveal - ink?
There was a shuffling sound; probably the door.
“Akiko!”
The woman flinched.
“What are you doing?!”

i’ve had this plot in mind for literal years for a tobirama x foc fic and have started 7?? versions of the same story and can only get so far before getting lost
the ✨twist✨ is that it doesn’t primarily take place during the warring states era.
there’s a forbidden jutsu unique to oc’s clan & basically she is brought back from the dead (it all correlates to madara’s death 👀) and is kind of stuck in a state of immortality
writing out the gist of it like this makes me realize it sounds dumb as fuck but i literally have oc’s entire clan & life written out & she’s not op or anything i think she’s p average of a shinobi tbh but she befriends naruto and kakashi and them and ugh
i have this whole ass story in my head but can’t seem to write it all out in a way that’s consistent and reads back we’ll
in one of the 7 versions there’s over 100 pages on docs but it doesn’t progress well ):

Tobirama x Madara
If you’re asking me about my own ship than of course it’s-
Tumblr media
How could I not support my OC in her love life~
For Tobirama x Madara?
Tumblr media
Like I see the appeal Madara? Hot man. Tobirama? Hot man. You put them together and that’s two hot men and then the enemies to lovers trope and all the angst/comfort that comes with it. I get it, I really do, I just don’t gel with it, y’know?
I don’t hate it but personally it’s just not for me. Madara x Hashirama though 👀👀
