How about missing their s/o for Tobirama or Madara? Do they consciously (or uncounciosly) seek out items or places that remind them of their partner? Do they throw themselves into work as distraction? Does it work? Do they feel a constant longing or does it hit them unexpectedly throughout the time their s/o is away?
a/n: Oh I like this one so I'm doing it now aha. It gives me cute ideas and angst ideas oops haha thanks for sending me in a request!

Tobirama Senju
The type to think he won't miss his s/o until they're gone and it kind of hits after a couple of days. Like it's about how you fit into his routine and all of a sudden you aren't there and now it's a huge hole in his life.
It starts in the morning when there's no one in his bed for him to latch onto to keep warm. He's quite literally left cold in an empty bed. And now he's started off the morning very grumpy.
Then there's breakfast which he usually eats with you. Either in a comfortable silence or discussing the agenda of the day. He's grown quite fond of hearing about your routine and opinions on things. But also sharing his own.
Before he knows it he's off doing things in the village with that empty feeling. Sure it's a distraction, discussing matters with his brother, going about his day but there's no warmth waiting for him when he gets home so whats it all for? He hates that he realises this too.
The fact that he's very conscious about it leaves him on edge. Like he's wearing his robes wrong and they're tight and itchy. He feels uncomfortable. When are you coming home again? Extra grouchy.
Coming home for dinner alone would be too much at this point. Agrees to his brothers tenth invitation this week to join his family for dinner. Says it's to finally get him to stop asking. Won't admit it's because he's A LITTLE BIT lonely. Damn you for showing him what it's like to have warmth in his home.
It's definitely a longing. He thinks. Even watching how his brother is at home with his family makes him miss you more. It's not the distraction he hoped, it's only made that hole bigger. Goes home even grumpier.
When he gets home he's actually mad at you for leaving. Even though it was something you had discussed and agreed upon. He's mad because how was he supposed to know it would feel like this? Now he's even more mad because he feels mad about it.
Just kind pours himself a cup of sake and indulges himself by sitting in your shared home seeking out your presence. Goes to bed early and sleeps on your side. It has your scent and it's the closest thing to your warmth he can get.
It's a damn miracle when you return the next morning. He's both a little grouchy and clingy (for Tobirama) on your return. He's basically like No more trips away. It's too dangerous. (For his heart.)
Madara Uchiha
Okay so he's more reluctant to let you go without him not in a you can't handle yourself level but rather he's just incredibly clingy doesn't want you to go lol.
Misses you right away. Notices your presence isn't there instantly. Especially in the village because you're his one saving grace in everything. The light in the darkness, so now that's gone and he's just kind of lost.
Bit of a hermit and stays home at first. Just doesn't want to leave anything to do with your presence but also in general doesn't like being in the village without you.
Big fan of sleeping in and staying in bed just remebering all the time the two of you spend relaxing there. Makes him sadder though so he has to get out of there and mope somewhere else.
Spends a lot of time hanging around the roof of his house watching the village and at the table where you share your meals just thinking. He's the kind of person to remember conversations and how he felt having them. Reminices trying to chase those moments and feelings.
Decides he's going to make more of them the moment you're back.
Eventually though he has to leave the house to get supplies like food and stuff. So he visits the market and the local vendors (the nicer ones) inquire after you and that makes him smile. He likes that you've made a home for yourself, with him.
And now he's missing you all over again. But he doesn't feel like he needs to stay in the house. He takes the usual route the two of you do around the village on your walks. Stops at the shops you like just because. Buys you things for when you return.
When he does return home he cooks your favourite food even though he's not even sure when you'll be back. It just makes him feel connected to you. It brings him back to life a bit.
Once Madara mopefest has completed and he's used to you being away he also manages to go see Hashirama who takes him out around the village.
He's honestly just thankful when you return because home felt so empty without you. Next time he wants to go with you. He doesn't like being left behind.

Genderfluid s/o HCs with the Konoha Founders + Izuna
Okay, so there's nothing I can find out there for these boys being with a genderfluid s/o, which is kind of disappointing. I know genderfluidity is pretty damn uncommon, but I am genderfluid, so who better to word vomit this stuff?
Also, they all have happy endings, because I like happy endings.
Probably SHOULD have edited them first, but ehhhhh...
First, Hashirama.
When they first tell him, he has no idea what it is.
After they explain it to him, he's like "Oh. Okay." It doesn't really matter to him, because his s/o is still his s/o, right?
He's not sure why it was a big deal for them to tell him? Like, he still loves them. That's not going to change with a few words.
Still respects the fact that it took a lot of courage and trust for his s/o to tell him.
He's really considerate about it. He asks his s/o what their specific pronouns are every day over their morning tea/coffee. He never forgets a day.
Very supportive, encourages his s/o to not be ashamed of their non-assigned genders. Funds separate wardrobes for each of his s/o's genders. Not enough room for them? No worries, he'll use his Mokuton to expand the house! Probably gifts his s/o with walk-in closets for each gender. Literally whatever puts a smile on their face. All his exuberant support is probably a bit much for his s/o to take at first, honestly.
Totally unashamed to walk around with them dressed ambiguously or as different genders. Very protective.
After a while, he really starts getting excited about it. It's so cool to him that his s/o has multiple genders. Who else can say that? He thinks he has bragging rights.
Low-key excited to try out sex with the different genders;)
All in all, he is really accepting and just thinks of it as another thing that makes his s/o unique.
Next is Tobirama.
Does not compute.
What? How? Since when?
Thought there were only two genders. Thinks sex and gender are the same thing.
At first, he thinks his s/o is telling him their junk is retractile.
*Confused snow leopard noises*
Doesn't like not understanding, and it makes him very grumpy.
The man's going to need a break from the s/o to rationalize the development in their relationship.
The s/o will begin to worry that he will not come back, because he takes so long to think things over.
He eventually reaches a point where he still doesn't know what to do about it, but is really frustrated with himself for his mind being in a gridlock for so long. He will eventually just realize that he misses them. A lot.
Honestly, his s/o will probably have to approach him to get an answer if he will continue the relationship. The man's too prideful to go back to them himself, and he would never stoop to "crawling back" or do anything remotely like admitting that he overreacted.
He still doesn't have an idea of what to do about it (doesn't realize he doesn't have to do anything). He assigns his s/o they/them pronouns and moves on with his day.
Honestly, the man is a bit of a prude already, so sex is gonna have to wait for a while. T minus tbd on the next frolic between the sheets.
Now Madara.
Thinks they're joking at first.
He realizes they're not and honestly doesn't know how to react. Definitely needs some time to digest what his s/o told him.
His fallback emotion is anger. Like, why didn't he know that about them already? Why would they wait so long to tell him? Did they not trust him? His own thoughts probably just make him angrier. He honestly is just really hurt by his own thoughts...? At least for a while.
He'll probably outwardly blame his s/o for his pain and anger. Not verbally, he just avoids them for a good while. It only makes him miserable and lonely on top of everything else, but he's too stubborn to admit it.
With his irritability on the rise, avoiding his s/o, and a lack of sleep due to his detrimental thoughts, someone else will have to reason with him. It's probs Hashirama.
Balks at the idea of "assistance" from Hashirama, so it might take another few days to hear his friend out. Immediately denies anything Hashirama says to him, but later thinks things over by himself. He'll realize that his s/o telling him when they did was a sign of trust, not a lack of it. He'll understand he's overreacting and misses them.
Once he decides that he's had enough of the situation, he'll visit his s/o. He'll probably bring a gift to buy his way into some time to talk to them. Some food or a new weapon. Something practical, but not too flashy so he doesn't look desperate for their companionship.
They will work things out, but they will probably both have to reaffirm the other’s trust again. He's just glad he didn't lose them. He's low-key terrified of that.
Honestly, he's not too keen on keeping up with their pronouns, so he will just call them they/them unless his s/o tells him otherwise that day.
Will incinerate anyone who gives his s/o a dirty look while they are a non-assigned gender in public. They're his s/o, not the stranger's, so don't even look at them. He doesn't tolerate it.
He'll be a bit wary of sex for a while tbh. But he likes to give as good as he gets, so after the two of them begin exploring sexual intimacy again, he'll find that he enjoys all of his s/o's genders in bed;)
Finally Izuna.
Knows exactly what you mean when you tell him. Even though he didn't know for sure, this sly little bugger already figured something of the sort. He's observant and intuitive like that.
Really appreciates that you told him. Doesn't really mind, but is a little awkward at first.
Tries to accommodate the s/o. Not very good at it, and often just refers to them by their assigned gender, but he tries.
At first, he's a little wary of them being a non-assigned gender in public. But after he gets used to being around them as a non-assigned gender, don't mess with his s/o. He'll eviscerate anyone with a smile on his face for them.
After he gets over his awkward stage, he does lots of little things to support his s/o, like picking up random articles of clothing (for different genders) at the market for them and splitting the house chores evenly.
Very good at supporting them without being suffocating. Respects their space, but definitely there 110% to listen if they are having any issues, socially or otherwise.
Honestly, he's probably kinky af, so he's low-key excited to spice things up in the sheets with his s/o's different genders;)

I like to think Tenzo's Happuri belonged to Tobirama. Like the Senju had a lot of spares and Yamato inherited one.
Yamato has both of Senju brothers in him.
you are of course allowed to heacanon that!
for me i think that far too much of Yamato's identity is already about other peoples things that he has been given and other peoples choices about him. i'm far happier with his happuri simply being a style of protection which he prefers. his happuri being a simple and not-special head protector he wears because he likes it is far more meaningful to me personally than it being a callback to tobirama
#yamswers#also i dont really like any of the founders and dont see the hype#i havent gotten to that part of the anime but like even when i do i don't think i'll care about them#i also dislike ''yamato senju'' headcanons for a similar reason-i love writing abt his possible familial relationship with tsunade but#i dont think it should be as easy as him simply becoming a senju-i think his relationship with the idea of that is pretty fraught!#not simply out of imposter complex but hopefully some resentment as well#the reason hes barely been treated as though he has an identity of his own is Because of that senju blood too...#so i dont like the idea of him leaning into that#same reason i dislike hcs about him growing his hair out tho i love the look aesthetically#it feels like hes surrendering himself :(
