Seriously though what the fuck is 'you don't deserve one'?????? Like??????
It's such a weird moment to try to make that point. How the fuck is she going to take you seriously when you say she doesn't deserve a goddamn stocking? And if he's not being serious why does he say it? Why bring the tone down like that? It's not the type of thing you just casually joke about and HE'S SURPRISED SHE TAKES IT WELL!!! When she isn't upset by what he says, he asks why she's in such a good mood. Like?????
What were your intentions with this conversation, sir?
Hate the bastard.

how did Ellie know where Abby was? I've seen people say that she tortured it out of Nora and that you can see blood on the map, proving that point, but I do not have the game, and none of the gameplays really show the map after that, so is that true? did she honestly torture it out of her? cause I assumed after that third blow, Nora was dead, so I've been really curious how Ellie found out Abby's location

There was someone in your room. It was the middle of the night, and you’d woken with a start, acutely aware of a shuffling sound, as someone closed the door and stepped into your space.
Slowly, trying not to make a sound, you slid your hand underneath your pillow and gripped the hilt of the dagger you kept there. Your heart raced, blood roaring in your ears as they strained to listen for any sign of the intruder getting closer to the bed where you laid. The living quarters were so small though, and with the door only a metre or two from your bed, you knew it was a matter of seconds before they were on you. Sliding the knife out from under the pillow, you tightened your shoulders and prepared to leap out of bed, until a soft voice spoke your name in the darkness.
Your eyes shot open, and you strained to see her through the black void. But you’d know that voice anywhere. You heard her say your name every night in your dreams, and woke up every morning to the crushing reality that it hadn’t been real. That it would never be real again. But that voice… it was undeniably her.
“Abby?” you breathed, sitting up warily.
You fumbled for the lamp beside your bed and tugged the string quickly, soft yellow light flaring around you. And there she was. That all too familiar angular face and strong arms. Long braid hanging over her shoulder, just the way you remembered. Dirt coated her skin, clothes damp from the downpour of rain that you could hear raging outside your window. Cuts and bruises littered her face, harsh scrapes marring the skin that you loved so dearly.
It had been months since you’d last seen her; since the group of them had headed off to Wyoming to find… him. And she’d been back at the base since, but you’d avoided her like the plague. Couldn’t bear to see her, after the way things had been left between the two of you. And then a few days ago, she was gone again. It was all anyone could talk about; how Abby Anderson had fled the base and was out searching for Owen… how they were both traitors to the cause.
Her blue eyes were red rimmed and bloodshot, and your heart panged with nervousness. She didn’t dare say another word, gaze trained on the knife you still held in your grasp, pointed out in her direction.
“What the hell are you doing here?” you asked warily, feeling your hand begin to shake. “How did you even get inside? Fuck, Abby, Isaac has everyone looking for you, he… he’s saying you’re a deserter.”
Abby shook her head slowly, face slack with an expression of hopelessness. “I’m sorry… I didn’t know where else to go.”
With an ache in your chest, you lowered the weapon, knowing you could never bring yourself to use it on her anyway. Her shoulders relaxed, and she shrugged off her pack. It hit the ground with a sharp clatter, and you noticed a bloodied axe clipped to the side of it. She slumped down on the edge of your bed, and the frame creaked with the added weight.
“He interrogated me, you know,” you shuddered. “After you went after Owen. Was convinced I was a part of it, that I kne-“
“Isaac is gone,” she interrupted quickly, not meeting your gaze.
You stared, eyes widening a fraction, and slowly asked, “What the fuck happened?”
“Owen and Mel too,” she said hoarsely, staring down her at her hands. “They’re… I found them, in the aquarium. Both of them... she killed them.”
All the breath in your lungs rushed out, leaving you lightheaded. “W-what?” you stuttered. No.
“It’s her,” she ground out, eyebrows pinched together. “She knows who we are and she’s… she’s fucking picking us off, one by one.”
Shaking your head desperately you rubbed a knuckle into the corner of your eye, willing the brimming tears to dry as you absorbed all the information. You knew this would happen. You fucking knew there would be consequences, and yet she didn’t listen. She never fucking listened.
“Who are you talking about?”
“The girl,” she chuckled mirthlessly. “The girl that was with the smuggler. And his brother.”
It felt like the walls were closing in on you as you stared at her. The woman you’d loved for so long, who’s bed you’d once shared, who you’d held while she told you stories of her late father. The women who’d chosen revenge over a life with you... just to come crawling back in the middle of the night.
“What are you doing here?” you repeated, voice shaky and thick with emotion. “Why did you come back?”
“I needed to see you,” she whispered, finally glancing over to you. Her eyes shone brightly in the dim light of your room, and you could see the tears that stained her cheeks, the tracks they’d left through the dirt on her skin. “Things are bad, and I don’t… I don’t know if I’m gonna make it through this. I needed to see you, just one last time.”
“Abby,” you choked out, pushing forward to rest on your knees, hands hovering over her face as you contemplated touching her. You knew that if you touched her, all the progress you’d made, all the efforts you’d gone to in order to try and get over her, would be out the window. “Please,” you breathed heavily, shoulders shaking. She leaned forward so her cheek brushed your fingers and your face crumpled, allowing your hands to rest on her face, thumbs brushing along her skin.
“Please don’t do this, I can’t fucking do this again. I told you,” your voice cracked, thumb pausing on her freckled cheekbone. “I fucking told you nothing good would come from going after him. But you couldn’t just…”
“I’m sorry,” her eyes screamed in earnest. “I can’t… I couldn’t keep going without coming back here to say that. You were right, and I’m sorry, but there’s no turning back now. There’s no undoing this. She knows who I am, and she’s coming for me, but… but I’m gonna find her first, and I’m gonna make her pay for what she did to them.”
“How?” your eyebrows raised incredulously. “Abby, you’re alone, you can’t-“
“I’m not alone,” she said coldly, and you froze, staring at her in confusion.
“Abby,” you said quietly, shaking your head. Your hands dropped from her face. “You can’t be serious… it-it’s true? They said Owen killed Danny to save one of them…. are you with the Scars?”
“No,” she sighed in frustration. “He’s not a Scar anymore, he- he saved my life, and I trust him.”
“I can’t hear this,” you frowned deeply, lip curling up at her words. “You know I never wanted any part in this. If they find out you were here, they’ll lock me up, they’ll fucking interrogate me for information, Abby, I’ll lose my position. Don’t tell me anything else.”
“I know, I know, I’m sorry,” she replied quickly, reaching up to rub her shoulder. She massaged the muscle firmly, fingertips dragging across her skin in a circular motion as she cringed.
“You’re hurt,” you murmured grimly.
“It’s nothing,” she shook her head. “I fell in Wyoming.”
“You’re a shit liar,” you grunted, nudging her thigh with your foot. She grabbed it, quick as a snake, her fingers curling around the arch of it and holding it to her thigh. Your face softened, and you frowned gently at her.
“I’ll go,” she whispered, meeting your eye. “I just… I wanted to be with you, just for a minute. Needed to see you. I couldn’t leave things the way they were; couldn’t have the last time I saw you be that.”
That day, weeks before, flashed through your mind. The two of you, in the very same room, glaring at each other.
“If you go, this is over,” you’d told her. “I mean it Abby, don’t fucking do this. Nothing good will come from it. It won’t bring him back.”
“I’m going,” she’d shouted. “And they’re coming with me. Owen, Manny, all of them. They want what I want. And I thought you wanted it too.”
“Well, you thought wrong,” you’d said. “I’m not going. Why can't this be enough for you? To stay here, with me, and just forget about him?”
Wiping a tear from your cheek, you nodded slowly, leaning in so your shoulder rested against hers.
“I’m sorry,” you murmured softly. You didn’t stop her as she leaned in, resting her forehead against yours, and tilted her chin up so your lips brushed. Shaky breaths escaped your mouths, mingling in the air between your faces. Not for a long time had either of you been nervous around one another. So unsure, so hesitant… Pushing the thoughts aside, you kissed her firmly, ignoring the way your heart cracked as the familiar taste of her hit your lips. “I’m sorry,” you repeated against her mouth, and she whimpered, gripping your face gently. You despised the way your body reacted to such a small touch from her; the way your shirt was suddenly too tight around your torso, the way your underwear suffocated the warmth between your thighs. She was intoxicating, overriding every rational thought in your mind until all you could think was Abby, Abby, Abby.
You fell backwards onto the bed, pulling her down with you, until her warm heavy weight rested against your chest. Her knee worked its way in between your thighs, pressing you down into the mattress. You clutched at her back, kissing her desperately, face still wet with tears. Her lips pressed longingly to yours, soft pants escaping her mouth as she pushed your head deeper into the pillows, holding you down and stealing the breath from your lungs. Your head was swimming, and you shivered at the feeling of her wet clothes dragging along your skin. She pulled back from the kiss with a gasp, tucking her face into your neck as she caught her breath. A soft kiss pressed against your pulse point and you sighed, closing your eyes and relaxing into her touch. She whispered something against your skin, but you couldn’t make out the words.
The sound of rain battering against the window filled the space with white noise as the pair of you laid in your small bed, limbs tangled together. Abby’s fingers stroked your cheek softly, and she pulled back to look at you, eyes watching you so intensely you could’ve sworn she was trying to memorise your features.
After a few moments, a soft sigh escaped her lips. “I have to go,” she whispered, eyebrows furrowing, and the crack through the middle of your heart deepened. She saw the look on your face and gave you a forlorn smile. “It took me half a day to get here,” she admitted sullenly, pressing a soft kiss to the corner of your mouth. “I’m sorry.”
You watched as she rose, stretching out her shoulder again before reaching down to grab her pack. She towered over the bed as she looked down at you one last time. Fat, hot tears brimmed on your lower eyelashes as you watched her turn toward the door.
“Please,” you whispered to her back in the dim light, seeing her shoulders tense, head turning a fraction to glance at you from the corner of her eye. “Stay. We can figure this out, I… I’ll convince them to let you stay. Just please, don’t leave me again. Don’t do this.”
“I have to see this through,” she said quietly, in a tone that left no room for argument. Tears dripped down your face and onto your pillow, leaving wet patches in their wake. You made no effort to wipe them away as you nodded despondently.
“I love you,” you cried hopelessly. “Please.”
“I love you too,” she rasped, and you knew from the finality in her voice that this was it. The last time you’d see her. You could feel it in your bones; the undeniable truth of the moment.
“May your survival be long,” you choked out, shoulders shaking against your bed as you fought against the sob rising in your throat.
Abby’s hand gripped the doorknob, and she turned to look at you one last time. Her eyes raked over your body, and she offered one small, sad smile before she stepped into the hall.
“May my death be swift.”

The Aquarium - Owen Moore x Chloe Angelic
In celebration of 1.5k followers, I have written a mini series of cringey, satirical smut fics featuring myself and the guys from TLOU2, i.e. Owen, Manny, Tommy and Joel.
In case you're new here; this does not reflect my usual writing!!! If you want to read my serious fics (Joel Miller x f!reader) find them on my masterlist.
Tumblr media
Summary: Chloe gets dicked down by Owen in celebration of 1.5k followers.
Warnings: Badly written smut, cringe, creampie, big dick fetish, extreme ego stroking.
Word count: 411 Rating: 18+ explicit
Chloe knocks on the door to the aquarium and Owen opens, wearing a tight green t-shirt. “Wow, Chloe, I’ve missed you so much” he says and lets her in the door, “Congrats on your internet milestone, you deserve it because you are such an amazing writer. Nobody writes sort of sad, sort of funny Joel Miller porn like you, baby”.
“Thanks, Owen” she says and walks into the aquarium, “I heard you have a massive cock, is that true?”. “Yes, Chloe, that’s true. You wanna fuck?” he asks. “That would be great, I will be thinking about my followers the entire time and wishing the best for each and every one of them while I get railed by you, Owen” she says, “Where is your bed?”.
“It’s in here” he says and points to a door. They walk inside. The bedroom is small but they can see fish behind a glass wall. The sheets are navy colored.
They get undressed and Chloe is wearing a matching pink lingerie set. Owen cannot believe his eyes. “You have the best ass I have ever seen, Chloe, I can tell you do mostly legs at the gym”, he says and slaps her ass. It jiggles perfectly, Owen’s eyes are about to pop out of his head, he has never seen an ass like Chloe’s. “You also have perfect tits”, he says.
Chloe thanks him, then touches his biceps, and she is soaking wet. He rips off her bra and panties and tosses her onto the bed. She looks at his naked body and sees the biggest cock she has ever seen in her life. She is stunned.
“What’s that, like, nine inches?” she asks, and he nods, “Yes, probably around that”. “Wow” she says. He puts it in, she moans. Owen is fucking Chloe hard, she’s loving it. “This feels amazing, Owen” she says, “I’m so glad fifteen hundred people followed me so I had an excuse to come over here and ask you to fuck me”. “You can come over whenever you want” he says.
Chloe comes three times in a row, and Owen is about to lose his mind. He has never felt such a perfect pussy in his life and is trying not to come because he wants this to be the best sex Chloe has ever had. He is in love with her and he is going to propose. He comes inside her and they live happily ever after.
I have ditched my taglists, due to the majority of tags not working, and have created a notifications blog instead. Follow Angelic Notifs and turn your notifications on if you want my new fics served directly to you!

A Place for You - Part Two
Post Santa Barbara!Ellie x Ex-Firefly!POC!Reader
Tumblr media
Part One | Part Two | Part Three | Part Four
Warnings: TLOU2 Spoilers, Ellie gets bit, Clickers, Near-Death Experience, Angst, Burning a bite to hide it (Cattle Brand), Promises, Crying, PTSD, Flashbacks, You learn about the cure and Ellie’s immunity, Needles
Summary: A little date does horribly wrong, and Ellie finally comes to terms with her past. In the process, she shakes up your world.
Tumblr media
Ellie stayed true to her word and didn’t leave you behind. Your relationship progressed slowly with the two of you taking your time. You didn’t want to rush into anything after her relationship with Dina, but the two of you were reminded that life outside of the homestead was unforgiving. Ellie wanted to show you something she discovered in a neighboring city - an aquarium. She knew you’d never seen the ocean and she wanted to show you something close to it. Things were going great until they went horribly wrong.
You were sprinting for your life. Literally. There was a hidden room in the aquarium that got busted down during your little date. Infected came pouring out and you turned around and ran. Ellie had vanished at some point, lost within the twisting and turning halls in this huge place. But the infected hadn’t lost you and were closing in. You were out of bullets and needed to find the way out of the building. The issue is that the building is a huge circle, so no matter where you went the infected would find you.
You sprint into the estuary room and curse when you realize that it’s a dead end. You can hear the shrieking of the infected and them running through the halls. Frantically, you try to find a place to hide or climb out of the way. You spot a place you can squeeze into and hurry over, trying to be as quiet as possible. They’d lose interest if they couldn’t find you.
Your heart pounds in your chest as you wait. You could hear them searching around, moving in and out of the room as they try to find you. As the last of them shuffle away, you start to relax. After a count of ten, you carefully crawl out from where you were but freeze as soon as you stand. The tell-tale clicking of a clicker echoes through the room. Your blood goes cold as you hear the sound.
Slowly, you turn your head to the entrance of the area. Standing in the middle of the doorway is a clicker, twitching and moving erratically as it scans the room. Your hand trembles, gripping your empty gun as you curse internally. ‘Of course, there’d be a clicker!’ You don’t have a knife and your gun is out of commission. You needed to find a weapon, now.
You don’t take your eyes off of the clicker, taking one step back at a time. It moves further into the room and you hesitate, scared that it might have located you. You continue when it doesn’t make a move towards you, trying to be as cautious as possible. Except, you can’t see where you’re stepping.
CRUNCH.
Your eyes snap down to your feet to see broken glass underneath your boots. The clicker screams, making you scream as it races towards you. You whirl around and run further into the room, eyes frantically flitting around as you try to spot anything you can use as a weapon. Your heart jumps as your feet slide out from under you, causing you to hit the tile with a loud thud. An involuntary hiss leaves your lips as broken glass and cold water press into your skin.
You turn in time for the clicker to jump on you. You scream, grabbing a hold of its head to try and keep it away from you. The infected is heavy, weighed down by the growth covering its body and making it more difficult to control. It pushes the glass beneath you deeper into your body, causing painful stinging as you fight to get it off you. Tears fill your eyes as your grip starts slipping, the thrashing from the clicker making it harder to hold onto. Your hand gives away, the clicker’s face getting closer to your shoulder and you can’t help but scream in terror.
One moment you’re bracing for the bite and the next you hear Ellie shouting in pain. Your eyes snap open and you watch as your girlfriend aggressively stabs the clicker in the neck. For a moment, you’re relieved that you were saved. That is until Ellie turns to you and you see the bite on her upper arm.
“No!” You gasp, scrambling off the ground to run to her. Ellie grabs you as you burst into tears, crying much harder than you were with the clicker.
“No! This can’t-! You can’t be-!” You sob and she pulls you into her arms.
“Baby.” Ellie mutters, stroking your hair, “Baby, it’s okay.”
“It’s not okay!” You wail, grabbing at her shirt as if she’ll fade away in your arms. A bite is a death sentence. You had just gotten Ellie and now you’re going to lose her.
“Y/n. Y/n, baby, look at me.” Ellie grabs your face in her hands, forcing you to meet her eyes, “I’m going to be okay. The bite doesn’t matter.”
“W-What are you saying?” You sniffle, “Of course the bite matters, Ellie!”
“I’m immune.” Ellie says firmly, tightening her grip on you, “I’m immune, Y/n. That’s the reason I was traveling with Joel all those years ago. I was bit by infected and didn’t turn.” You’re at a loss of words as she takes a step back to show you her tattoo.
“This is where the bite was. I burned myself to hide it.” Ellie points out areas of the mark, “I’ll be okay.”
“You’re… immune.” Her words hit like you like a ton of bricks, and you’re forced to sit down on the floor, “…you’re actually immune?” You look up at her with wide eyes.
“I am. If you don’t believe me, you can chain me up until the time passes. But, I’m telling you the truth.” Ellie says sincerely, sitting down with you, “You’re not going to lose me… but I almost lost you.” Your hand goes up to your shoulder where you would have been bitten. She was right. She could have lost you.
“I almost died.” You whimper, the situation setting in, “I almost-” You choke up.
“But, you didn’t.” Ellie holds your hand, tenderly running her thumb over it, “…I think I should tell you everything now.”
“Here?” You look around.
“The other infected are dead, so it’s just us.” Ellie reassures you, “Besides, I’d rather do it while you’re sitting down.”
“Okay.” You nod. You wanted to know about her life before you, but you knew it was difficult for her to talk about. The conversations you did have weren’t very detailed or didn’t directly talk about her life. So you were prepared to listen patiently.
The two of you sit there and talk in depth about Ellie’s life before she met you. How she got bit and the girl she was crushing on that she lost in the process. The struggle of leaving the QZ and what happened along the way. It was very hard for you to sit and listen to. She mentioned how you were the only happiness she had the whole trip that wasn’t related to her immunity. If you’re honest, the hardest thing to stomach was what happened to Marlene. Ellie didn’t hold anything back.
You thought she’d stop once she got to Joel’s death, but she didn’t. She continued forward, filling in the gaps of her story about what happened in Seattle. You encouraged her to talk about it, not letting her shy away from the more brutal parts. You gently touch her shoulder in support as she exhales. She slowly lifts her head, eyes filled with unshed tears as she takes you in.
“I… shouldn’t be here with you.” Ellie whispers, making you frown, “I killed all of those people. Abby was within her rights to kill me, but she didn’t. And I couldn’t let go of my guilt. I felt bad for being happy when Joel was-” She chokes up and starts sobbing. You wait patiently, silent tears falling down your face.
“Nora didn’t deserve that death. I was blinded by my guilt and rage, a-and my self-hatred that I…” Ellie gazes at you, nervously trying to figure out if she should continue or not.
“Go on.” You encourage her, “I’m not going to judge you.”
“I beat her to death.” Ellie takes a shaky breath, “After Abby let me live, I hunted her down through her friends that were with her and killed nearly all of them. One of them - Nora - I beat her to death for information… I didn’t plan on it. I didn’t want to… but she knew where Abby was and she wasn’t giving me the information.” You listen intently as she talks about everything she did. The people she killed. How her best friend died because of her. You got upset when she talked about Dina and the baby, biting your tongue when she explained that she left them behind. She knew you disagreed with that action, but that was what brought her to you in the first place. You couldn’t judge her when you would’ve done the same.
“That’s… a lot.” You say, unsure of what else to say.
“And now… I’ve got someone I can’t lose.” Ellie whispers softly, “As much as I try to run from my immunity, I get brought right back to it.”
“What do I have to do with it?” You tilt your head.
“I refuse to lose you to infected.” Ellie says firmly, “The thought of that is… too painful.”
“The cure doesn’t matter.” You brush her hair back, “Don’t worry about it.”
“I have no choice but to worry, because I could lose you.” Ellie sighs, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear, “I want to figure out how to make one.”
“Ellie…” You hesitate, “The Fireflies are done.”
“There has to be someone else.” Ellie frowns, “I won’t stop searching until I find someone. I’m going to find a way to create the cure and live.” Ellie says firmly.
“That surgeon couldn’t have been the only person capable of it. Even if the only person I cure is you, I need that cure.” She kisses your forehead.
You left the aquarium, and even though she told you about her immunity - you are shocked that Ellie did not turn. You made sure the wound stayed clean and Ellie insisted to you that she needed to hide the bite mark. There was no way she could give herself another chemical burn where it was, so she turned to another option.
“You want me to… burn you with this iron.” You state, staring at the iron cattle brand she has sitting in the fire. You don’t even know where she got it from!
“It’s big enough to cover the bite mark.” Ellie says while taking off her shirt, “Besides, I looked for one with your initial in the middle.” She grins at you.
“That’s not the point!” You throw your hands up, “This is really going to hurt!”
“I can’t take the chance of anyone seeing the bite. They’re going to shoot without asking questions.” Ellie crosses her arms, making her boobs look bigger.
“And I have to do this because I’m the only one who can make sure it stays in place.” You sigh, reaching for the handle.
“Exactly.” Ellie says, laying down on the couch and grabbing her belt, “I need you. I’m only this composed because I’m not the one in charge of it.” You pull the rod out of the fire, swallowing nervously at the glowing red end.
“Okay.” You exhale, positioning it above the bite mark, “You better bite down on that belt.” Ellie’s scream and the smell of burnt skin would haunt your dreams for weeks after that.
~ Summer, 2 Years Later ~
You wipe the sweat from your face and let out a sigh. You are so close to gathering the last of the tomatoes that ripened today. It will always make you laugh at how nature works. One day there’s nothing ready to be picked and the next there’s half of it. You had to carefully pick the times you left the homestead, or you’d come back to overripe produce if you were gone too long.
You examine the vines, looking for the pops of red or orange in the green. It was harder to notice than you thought as a kid. Your mother had laughed herself silly when you didn’t see the ripe fruit in front of your face. It was the same day Ellie had come along and you ran to the front of the house in excitement when your dad called out that you had visitors. You smile to yourself, remembering the day Joel had appeared with your lover.
“JOEL!” You scream, sprinting to the startled man and throwing your arms around him.
“Uh… Hey, kiddo.” Joel awkwardly pats your head, “You’ve gotten big.” You let him go and take a few steps back, noticing that he has visibly aged a few years.
“It’s been three years!” You say with a “duh” tone, “You’ve gotten older.”
“Y/n!” Your father scolds you, “Where are your manners?”
“Sorry, pa.” You grin sheepishly, your eyes landing on a person slightly behind Joel, “Hey! Who are you?” You tilt your head.
“Ah, this is Ellie.” Joel motions to her, then looks at your dad, “Can I ask you and Nia for a favor? We need a place to rest for a few nights and y’all are the only ones I trust out here.”
“Why don’t you come inside and we can talk about it?” Your mother comes up behind you, “The girls can go off together and play while we talk.” Joel agrees to that, giving Ellie a warning look before following your parents. She walks closer to you, nervously moving her foot in the dirt.
“So um… I’m Ellie. Like Joel said.” Ellie reintroduces herself to you. You glance at your parents who are walking inside with Joel before you turn back to her with a grin.
“Hi, Ellie! I’m Y/n!” You greet her, lifting your clippers to show her, “Do you want to come up to my room with me? I have some books we can go through!”
“What kind of books?” Ellie raises an eyebrow.
“Ah, space-”
“Space?!” Ellie shouts and then her face goes red, “I-I mean- Space? That’s cool. I like space.” You gasp, grab her hand, and start dragging her to your room.
“Oh my god, that’s fucking amazing!” You squeal, “I actually have a telescope we can look through if you end up staying the night! Have you ever looked through one before? It’s so cool. My dad had found one for me last year…” You ramble to Ellie the whole way. You practically kick your room door open and whirl around into it like you’re showing it off.
“Tada!” You grin, “This is my room!”
“Woah!” Ellie gasps looking around at all of your posters on the wall. Her gaze travels upward and she screeches when she sees constellations on your ceiling, “ARE THOSE MADE WITH GLOW IN THE DARK STICKERS?!”
“YES!” You scream back and the next thing you know you and Ellie are screaming together.
“GIRLS! STOP THE SCREAMING!” Your mother shouts from the first floor and you abruptly stop screaming. You and Ellie stare at each other in silence before bursting into laughter. You tug her over to the telescope and show her how to use it. Ellie listens closely as you demonstrate it, and jumps at the chance when you give her the opportunity to use it.
~
You and Ellie giggle, huddled up in a corner of your room at who knows what time reading through one of your favorite story books. The two of you take the time to act it out, dramatically reading from the pages to make the other laugh.
“The princess stared longingly at the knight as he got onto his horse. She didn’t know how to ride a horse and wondered what it was like. Was it as fun as it looked? Did it hurt? It didn’t matter. It was a freedom she’d never get the chance to experience.” You read to Ellie.
“Why is this your favorite story?” Ellie asks, “It’s kind of sad.”
“It reminds me of how I feel hearing about my parents’ lives before the world went to shit. I’ve always wondered what it was like to do things that they did. But, because of the way things are now it’s not possible.” You shrug, “The princess does get a happy ending, but she creates it for herself. That’s why it’s my favorite book.”
“That’s cool. I can relate to wanting to do things our parents did.” Ellie sprawls out on the floor, “There are so many places I’d love to see, but I don’t have the chance to.”
“If you don’t mind me asking, why are you with Joel? This is the first time I’ve seen him with someone around my age.”
“If you don’t stop to get some water, I’m going to have you sit out the rest of the day!” You hear Ellie scold you. You turn your head to see her walking over with a glass of water. You give her a sheepish grin, realizing that you’ve been caught. ‘Damn it, I was so close!’
“I didn’t think you’d catch me.” You respond, accepting the glass from her.
“Baby, I know you. If you think the harvest won’t take long, you don’t take your break.” Ellie crosses her arms, watching as you drain the whole glass. You sigh in relief, feeling much better now that you’ve had some water. You hadn’t realized that your throat had started to feel dry.
“Sometimes it’s not needed.” You point out, handing the glass back to her.
“Sometimes it is.” Ellie retorts, shaking her head, “That’s not the reason I came out here, though. Gayle stopped by saying Thistle and the puppies will be ready to come home next week.” She takes a tomato out of your bucket and starts playing with it.
“That’s great!” You grin, placing a tomato into your bucket, “I’m sure Scout will be happy to have his mate and children home.” The border collie was out in the field with the goats right now. You knew he wouldn’t always be around so you were happy that Gayle had agreed to let you breed him with one of hers. You’d have four puppies coming to live with you soon. That would also help a lot with your growing farm. You and Ellie wanted to be able to cover the entire property without worrying about missing areas.
“And I would love to have my girlfriend not faint from dehydration, darlin’. How did you ever manage without me?”
“I took my breaks, but now I’ve got a very attractive and muscular” You squeeze her bicep, feeling her muscles through her flannel, “girlfriend to look out for me. I can afford to be a little reckless.” You give her a cheeky grin. Ellie had always been a bit muscular, but she had taken to working out as a way to help with her trauma. With all of her stamina training, she could run for miles before getting tired.
“You’re lucky I love you.” Ellie chuckles, kissing your cheek, “Is that the last of the tomatoes for today?”
“Yup.” You nod, “I can make tomato soup for dinner tonight.”
“Oh, please.” Ellie groans, walking with you to the house, “Your tomato soup sends me to heaven… and I finished up the flour so we can make grilled cheese.”
“You say that about all of my cooking.” You giggle, bumping her with your hip, “But it’s okay, I feel that way about your cooking, too. I can’t believe you managed to make such a delicious spice rub for the pork.”
“It’s all in the fingers.” Ellie wiggles her fingers, making you laugh.
“Stop it! It is not.” You roll your eyes.
“That’s not what you said last night, baby.”
“You’re right. I was complaining that you needed to stop teasing me.”
“You love it when I do.” Ellie opens the back door and you wipe the dirt from your boots before stepping inside.
“That doesn’t mean I can’t complain.” You say playfully, making eye contact with her over your shoulder.
“That’s true.” Ellie chuckles, watching you place the bucket in the sink, “Why don’t you head into the room and wash up? I can clean and chop up the tomatoes for you.” You smile at her and kiss her cheek.
“Thank you, sweet pea.” You hum and dust off your hands before making your way to your bedroom. You and Ellie ended up sharing the master bedroom. You were very emotional when you cleaned it out, but Ellie helped you every step of the way. You open the room door and pause, your jaw dropping as you take in the decorations.
“E-ELLIE?!” You scream, unable to tear your eyes away, “CAN YOU COME HERE?”
“COMING!” You hear her respond. ‘Where did she get all of these roses from? And…’ You didn’t know how to feel, walking further into the room to marvel at it. Sketches of you decorate the wall, candles flicker on every surface and you feel yourself getting misty-eyed.
“Everything okay, babe?” Ellie sounds from behind you, and you spin around so fast you almost get whiplash.
“Are you serious?” You ask her urgently, “Like, really serious?”
“Yes.” Ellie walks into the room and wraps her arms around your waist, “I want you to marry me, Y/n. You mean so much to me. You saved my life in more ways than one. You nursed me back to health, helped me relearn to use my hand, and continue to work with me through my trauma. You make my heart sing with how kind and caring you are. How loving you are with Scout and the other animals. I can’t imagine how my life would be if I didn’t have you and I don’t want to lose you. Not even for a moment.” She pulls out a gold necklace from her pocket, a ring dangling from the end of it.
“I know wearing rings around the homestead would get in the way so I put it on a chain… I thought about this for a while, and I want to know if you will be my wife, Y/n?” The look Ellie gives you is one of hope and nervousness as you stare at her. ‘Ellie is asking me to marry her? To marry… her?’ You throw your arms around her shoulders and yank her into a heated kiss.
“Of course, I’ll marry you!” You grin at her, “You’re the one who has my heart.”
“Yes!” Ellie does a little happy dance and kisses you passionately. She has you turn around, moving your hair out of the way to put the necklace on you.
“I love you, Y/n.” Ellie whispers in your ear, rocking side to side with you in her arms, “I love you so damn much.”
“I love you too, Ellie. I’m excited to spend the rest of my life with you.” You tell her, turning around in her arms to face her, “However short or long that may be.”
“I am, too, darlin.” She kisses your forehead, “But if I have any choice, you’re going to be an old lady before you pass away. You can count on that.” That makes your eyes flicker to her upper arm where an intricate tattoo covers the old bite mark. You kiss her shoulder and sigh, the memory of that horrifying day still feeling fresh in your mind.
“You better not die in the process.” You scold her, making her grin at you.
“I don’t plan on doing that. But, I’d jump in front of an infected for you again if that meant that you’d be in my arms.” Ellie murmurs, holding you tightly, “I’m sorry for scaring you that day, but I can’t lose you. Especially not that way. If I could pass my immunity to you, I would.”
“No more bites okay? I can only purposefully burn my wife once.” You poke her shoulder, “And you’re lucky you knew someone who’d tattoo you.”
“A tattoo of your favorite flowers on half my arm is worth the pain, my darling wife.” Ellie smiles and your heart flutters. Wife. Now that was something you’d be able to get used to.
“Speaking of passing on my immunity.” Ellie clears her throat and walks to a box on the counter, “I did it.” She opens the box, a soft hiss sounding as a cool vapor rises into the air.
“You made the cure?!” You gasp, walking over to her. In the box was a vial and syringe with a thick needle that has you flinching.
“I won’t go into details, but I managed to track someone down a few years ago. We’ve been working on it this whole time.” Ellie smiles at you, “The trade-off was they got to inject their family, too. They were actually used as the testers. As long as I keep it cold, it’ll last.” She hands you the vial and you stare at it. It looked like actual strands of mycelium.
“Ellie, is this…” You glance at her.
“To put it simply, it’s a piece from the mycelium in me.” Ellie rubs the back of her neck, “You don’t want to know how we got it.”
“So what do we do?” You question, handing the vial back to her.
“I have you lay down and I inject this into the back of your neck.” Ellie picks up the syringe and shows you the thick needle, “The cordyceps will do the rest.”
“Let’s do it.” You say, turning to go lay on the bed. You were terrified, but if you thought about it any longer you might talk yourself out of it. Ellie takes the time to prep the area she’s going to inject you, softly talking to you to keep you relaxed.
“Okay, baby. I’m going to inject it. It’s going to burn because it’s not passing into your body the traditional way.” Ellie whispers. Before you can respond, you feel the pinch of the needle. Then, came the burn. You screamed in pain, clutching the back of your neck as if you’d been bitten. Ellie cradled you in her arms the whole time.

what's your opinion on Mel from tlou?
Tbh I feel like she sits in this collection of female characters - people like Lori from TWD, Skylar from Breaking Bad - where they are constantly shat on and called "annoying" and people fail to see their perspective and the intricacies of their characters just because they are women. And if they were men, they would be beloved by their fandoms.
To me, it doesn't matter if characters are "good" or lovable, if they are interesting and have an interesting perspective, have an interesting story, then I can't stand people shitting on them and reducing them down to one dimension and making them a villain just for personal convenience.
As an Abby fan, it is very easy to hate Mel. The whole "you're a shitty person, Abby. You always have been" thing makes Mel a very easy target for Abby stans. And I am not gonna lie, coming off my first interactions with TLOU2, I was like "bitch! Get away from my wife!"
But the more time I spent with the game and it's story, the more I came to appreciate the layers of her character and how she is really a desperate victim in the situation.
For one - she brings an interesting perspective to the fact that the Salt Lake Crew were child soldiers. On Seattle Day One, after Manny, Mel, and Abby's truck gets ambushed and they're trying to make it to the FOB on foot, they end up discussing the days of the truce - a time when the Seraphites and the WLF had peace and divided territory that the opposition wasn't allowed to cross into.
And through the dialogue, you can surmise that the truce was ended through one particularly brutal fight, in which the Seraphites used young child soldiers to cross into WLF territory, hoping the WLF would see that they were "just kids" and not kill them, and the WLF soldiers were forced to kill the child soldiers to keep the boundaries and keep the land.
In this conversation, Manny continually drives home the idea that the Seraphites are a crazed cult for doing the things they do, and that even though they were child soldiers, it was their choice to pick up arms and fight - clearly, he believes that it was his choice to he armed and fight when he was young, and not just a natural part of survival.
Mel is very firm on the idea that no child soldiers should have to be on the front lines of such a conflict because "they are just kids" and Abby is very quiet during the entire conversation - and this seems to be what softens Abby to the idea that one: they were child soldiers themselves. And it was fucked up.
And two: when she finds Lev and Yara, they deserve her help, because they are "just kids". It's at least one of the small factors that changes her mind about the Seraphites along the way.
The fact that Mel is willing to perform the surgery on Yara to help out, the fact that she's like seven months pregnant and she crossed through all the hellish territory that Abby did by herself just to catch up with Owen's ungrateful ass at the Aquarium.
I am not saying it's deserved, but it's no wonder she snapped at Abby. She probably knew that Abby and Owen cheated on the boat the night before (if Owen no-back-bone Moore didn't crumble and tell her, Mel probably found Abby's bra or something on the boat) and from her personal, she genuinely thinks that Abby is only helping Lev and Yara to get on Owen's good side. She doesn't know that Abby is having genuine personal reflection and wanting to change.
I think she's a character who is easy to hate on the surface, but if there are people who somehow genuinely like Owen, then there is room in the fandom to like Mel. Otherwise she is a sore victim of sexist goggles in fandom

Fuck You and Your Fireflies
TLOU2 Nora x Mel
Summary: When Nora and Mel catch a drunk Owen trying to swoon Abby, Mel's suspicions are confirmed and feelings are revealed.
Note: I wrote this for the amazing people in the Abby Simp Society Discord❤
(Special photo at the end made by @melstanaccount )
Mel and Nora had decided to go after Owen when they found out Abby went AWOL to find him. At first, Mel wanted to go alone, but Nora refused, saying it was way too dangerous. They knew they couldn't go back to the FOB or the stadium after this or they'd answer to Isaac. So, once Manny made a plan to get his dad out safely, everything was set in motion. Mel and Nora would find Owen and hopefully Abby, and Manny and his dad would meet them at the aquarium once Isaac was too busy to care. It was risky, but they were family. That kind of risk just came with the title.
When Mel and Nora made it to the aquarium, they could hear arguing. Quickly, they made their way to the boat Owen had been fixing up. Nora quietly climbed on board, opening the door to see Owen trying to pin Abby against a wall. Abby shoved him off, making him land on the floor, hitting his back. "What the fuck are you doing?!" She yelled. "Did you really think I would ever sleep with you?! We're done, Owen! We have been for years! Get over yourself!" Owen looked past Abby, his eyes going wide in fear when he saw Nora. Abby turned around, surprised, but extremely relieved.
"What's going on in here?" Nora asked, stepping in. The whole boat smelled like alcohol.
"He's drunk out of his mind." Abby scoffed. "He tried to kiss me." Mel gasped when she heard this, standing beside the boat.
"Owen, what the fuck?!" Nora glared at the man. "You're really trying to cheat on your pregnant girlfriend? How fucking low can you get?" She crossed her arms.
"Look, it was a mistake." Owen argued, standing up. "It didn't mean anything- just... please don't tell Mel."
"She doesn't have to." Mel cut in, hitting the side of the boat with the butt of her shotgun. "We're done, Owen." Owen tried to talk, only to be shoved by Abby once more. "Abby, come on." Abby complied, getting out and standing beside Mel. She stayed quiet. This wasn't her fight anymore.
"Mel, really this was all just a mistake." Owen slurred, climbing out. He nearly fell on his face stepping off the platform.
"Get back in your boat." Mel glared with teary eyes. "Fix it. And then we're all going to Santa Barbara where you will be going your own way."
"But what about the Fireflies?" Owen asked.
"Is that all you care about?" Mel scoffed. She grabbed him by his shirt collar. "You owe it to this baby to fix that boat and get us to Santa Barbara." She seethed. Owen nodded. Mel let go. "Fuck you and your stupid Fireflies!" She yelled, storming off.
Nora gave Owen one last glare before she and Abby followed after Mel. She sat in the lounge, crying into her hands. Nora sat down beside her, Abby standing in the kitchen to give the two some space. She'd known for a while that Nora liked Mel. She just didn't ask her before Owen did. She was too late. "Hey, Melon." Nora said softly, putting a hand on her back.
Mel leaned into Nora's side, wiping away tears. "Hey." She sniffled. "Abby, I don't blame you." She assured quickly. "I know you didn't do anything. I'm not mad at you." Abby gave her a small nod, deciding to walk around the aquarium so she and Nora could talk. "Why am I not surprised?" Mel laughed, feeling hurt despite knowing Owen's feelings weren't all in order. "I knew something was off the whole time."
Nora rubbed Mel's back, comforting her. "Despite a lot of Owen's bad, you saw the good in him." She reasoned. "You can always see the good in people. You're sweet like that." She paused for a moment. "He doesn't deserve you."
Mel smiled a bit, wiping her nose. "What am I gonna do?" She whispered.
"You're gonna let Owen go off and do his own shit." Nora started. "And then you're gonna live the life you deserve. Abby and I can help you with the baby." Nora assured. "Everything's gonna be okay. I promise."
Mel nodded, sitting up a bit. "I think I lost feelings for Owen a long time ago." She admitted. "We only stayed together because of the baby."
Nora listened. "That happens. You worry about the baby's safety and who's gonna be there to help you raise it and all that stuff. Sometimes it becomes easier to just stay together." She took Mel's hands in hers, squeezing them gently. "You're not doing any of this alone, okay? I promise."
Mel smiled, nodding. "Y'know... I've known about your crush on me for a while." She admitted.
"Oh my God!" Nora groaned as Mel laughed. "Did Abby tell you?"
"On accident." Mel shrugged. "I asked her. She tried to deny it."
"She is the worst liar." Nora chuckled.
"I know!" Mel laughed. "That's why I asked her! I see how you look at me!"
"You guys are awful." Nora joked. Her expression quickly changed from happy to shocked when Mel brushed the pad of her thumb over her bottom lip. "What are you doing?" She whispered.
"Who said I didn't feel the same?" Mel shrugged, smiling. She leaned a little closer. "Can I?" She asked quietly. Nora nodded, closing the gap between them. She pressed her lips to Mel's softly, hearing the excited thrum of her heart. Mel kissed back, one hand on Nora's shoulder as the other cupped her cheek gently. It would take some time before the sting of hurt left from Owen would go away, but they both knew that, with each other, everything would be alright.
Abby came back in a moment later as Nora was deepening the kiss. "Hey! Don't fuck on the couch I sleep on!"
