I swear he has the most comfortable bed in fiction. My mind won't be changed. He just looks so snuggled up. I want to know where he buys sheets like this because he just looks so cosy

Could u do a some headcannons about Tintin laughing, like, his sense of humour, how contagious his laugh is, what he would do if we had a contagious laugh or a weird sense of humour. Just wondering coz I was watching an episode from the series and his laugh is acctually so adorable, like bro I just wanna hug him and give him literally anything he wants ❤️
AWWW THIS IS WAY TOO CUTE TO BE IGNORED I MUST DO IT WITH ALL THE CUTENESS IN THE WORLD! (sorry got a little excited here lol)
Tumblr media
☆Tintin laugh headcanons☆
For starters.
He and Haddock have the worst sense of humor possible.
I can't take this out of my mind-
Like,he'll laugh at dad jokes or will not undestand because he'll try to seak sense into the joke.
You know when you tell a self-deprecating jokes in front of your parents and they scold you?
Yes,he'll do it.
Not exactly scold you,but will wait until you stop laughing to ask if you're ok in a worried tone.
His normal sense of humor goes for that one joke of the chicken who crossed the road to make """funny""" comments about something. That normally is funny just for him in the most of the times he does it.
But,Tintin of course laugh at silly things too,like if you trip in front of him he'll do this little cute laugh while helping and saying for you to be careful.
It's not exactly the type with loose laugh,but definitly not the difficult one either.
This when we talk about the Tintin from the series,but Tintin from the movie is a bit different (since unfortunaly in the movie we didn't see he really laughing and this hurt me 🥲)
He probably is a bit complicated to laugh, his sense of humor mostly making puns, sarcastic or ironic comments about something.
Being more funny when he do without noticing because he's a little menace in his own way. We can easily see it when he talk with sakharin for the first time (his face when he simply say "i don't have it" is the best lol)
Now,the best for the last.
His ✨Laugh✨
He have three types. Wait,hear me out-
The one he try to hide,that little laugh cleaning the throat and looking away you know?
The second and most normal is that small laugh. Quick and polite.
The thrid. This one. This one is hard to get. It's random so something funny and random had to happen.
i headcanon that take a really good while for Haddock hear Tintin (from the movie) really laughing like,really bursting out laughing.
And just like i said,it was random. Haddock was trying to help Tintin with a hint about some old mistery and he terribly pronounced an entire sentence with so much confidence to the point of making Tintin ask him to repeat it, when he did, Tintin stared at him for a few seconds, connected the dots and broke out laughing.
Bro wasn't really expecting lol.
And his laugh is good to hear,like that heart warming type of laugh that makes you smile and wanting to hear it again as much you can you know???
He do it so less often that makes him weak when he laugh like this,he hold onto someone to keep still lol.
___________________________________________
A/N: HERE IT IS! I loved doing this one lol. i hope that when the next movie come out WE WILL BE ABLE TO HEAR HIM LAUGHING OR I'LL COMMIT WAR CRIMES- i feel robbed 🥲. Thank you for the delicious idea unknow person,love u 😌❤️

i wanna ask your opinion on the tintin movie! personally it's one of my favorite films but it also has a distinctly different vibe from the comics, i'm curious what you think of it
oooh the 2011 film... I think it's a lot of fun! The pacing is absolutely insane, the plot just plows through like a speeding train. I remember enjoying how they managed to weave several stories together into one coherent plot. The voice cast is my favourite, everyone basically sounds like how I imagined them in my head, even Mrs Finch!
I did a quick little study of him, rest of my “review” is under the Read More. As usual I have Many Thoughts
Tumblr media
It's a film I enjoy with my brain turned off, my main gripe with the film is how Tintin never really has to make any difficult decisions. When Sakharine demands Tintin to choose between Haddock’s life or the scrolls, Haddock is just... pushed into the water before he even does anything?
also Haddock finding Castafiore attractive is just... weird
Tumblr media
"What a dish!"
Every bone in my body just knows Steven Moffat wrote that in, he's ruined Sherlock Holmes, Doctor Who, Jekyll and Hyde and Dracula... why do we keep letting him do this
I'm not mad about the CGI motion capture - it's aged surprisingly well and the film utilises the strengths of CGI animation effectively - lot of the camera work and really cool scene transitions would have been incredibly difficult with 2D animation or impossible with live action.
Tumblr media
Not to mention that incredible one shot chase scene through a fully modelled city, complete with dust and water simulations... I can hear a render farm exploding in the distance
Tumblr media
I actually think Tintin himself looks far too normal, the guy has an egg head and a receding hairline. they gave him cheekbones and a chin. hollywood is not ready for him
in conclusion, professor calculus wasn't in the film so i give it a -2.5/10

Why I never crossposted here, I’ll never know.
But behold a scene from my Anachronism fic! Shadow is 100% about to cause problems on purpose. But not quite at this moment, first they gotta break into Tintin’s apartment.
This was a lineart commission I got from @ozianthus-arts ! Their original post is here: https://www.tumblr.com/ozianthus-arts/722126083503325184/commission-for-shadowthestoryteller-this-was
I did both a reg color as well as a Sepia type filter. Because the 40s✨✨✨
I really need to post some of this fic. Maybe someday😌

Both sided fascination
Tumblr media
warning : fascination for eachother
next chapter, masterlist
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The sun shone down on the flea market in Brussels on an almost cloudless day. The light fell on many old and new objects, the many people, illuminating their intentions and also helping one particular artist to slowly but surely finish his work.
It also illuminated the red hair and the fine, light freckles of the journalist who dutifully held still to be able to look at his work in a few minutes. ,,Just one more moment" he heard the artist say and tried to keep his smile as small as possible so as not to blur the picture.
His eyes wandered down for a moment to his most faithful companion.
Snowy, his white fox terrier, who until just now had been lying obediently at his feet. But his pet seemed to have already lost interest in the people walking past them.
He tilted his little head slightly, ears perked with interest, and moved a few metres away from his friend and owner. ,,Wait Snowy" the red-haired young man said and looked into the crowd for a moment.
He saw the small white tuft of fur sniffing the ground but paused. Assessing whether or not he should look further. ,,Tell me, have I painted you before? You have such a familiar face?" he heard the artist speak with a slight accent, looking at him with interest and a lovely smile. ,,From time to time," the red-haired man said and shifted slightly on the chair to find his right place again.
Since he had been in the same position for some time. ,,But I know you from the newspaper, a reporter don't you?" he asked, seeming to remember his client and short-time model. ,,I'm a journalist," he answered curtly and saw the reminiscent nod of the older man before he continued painting.
Snowy, meanwhile, had almost come back to his host, looking for help and impatient, and was getting his ear lightly tickled. But a few seconds later he saw someone in the crowd who caught his attention. The light tapping sound and the clawing on the stone pavement were, however, suppressed by the surrounding noise.
But the people did not stop Snowy from moving further away from the two. ,,Here, I think I've got it right," said the artist, handing the picture over to his customer with satisfaction. Looking at himself in a comic-like manner, his smile grew bigger as he looked at himself. ,,You got me good. How do you like it Snowy?" his voice formed into a slightly worried question as he turned to his dog, but the little white animal was not there.
He took the drawing from the canvas and rolled it up in his coat pocket. He took the coin out of his pocket, gave it to the sketch artist and left. ,,Where did he run off to now?" he muttered and began to walk on through the market, past the many people, looking for his way.
Walking past a few more stalls before he came to a stall with many older mirrors. Round, square, oval - every shape seemed to be represented. Almost unconsciously, he ran a hand over the small tip of his hair.
Hoping it would be flat for once and not stick out like always. Of course he thought as he saw in the corner of his eye how only a few seconds later his hair stood up again. ,,Snowy!" he called again and looked at himself in the mirror before taking his eyes off his image when he heard the sound of a dog running and barking. ,,Snowy, where have you been? Chasing cats again?" he asked, relieved and pleased to have his faithful companion back with him.
The little dog happily jumped up to him, stood on his hind legs and demanded a few strokes for his return. He complied and knelt down and scratched Snowy behind the ears. A satisfied sound came from the dog, who wagged his tail happily. He stroked his dog for a moment before lifting his gaze and looking in the mirror.
His bright eyes showed astonishment as he turned around almost convincing himself that it was not his imagination. ,,Wow Snowy, look at that" he said and the little dog followed his owner who walked over to the rather large model ship.
A stand that belonged to an old man who offered this model next to pictures, books and everything else. The red-haired man stepped closer. He looked through the glass case at the well-preserved and beautifully crafted ship.
His mind was racing but he knew exactly the descriptions, legends, sayings and history behind it. I can almost hear the sound of the waves, he thought, and a smile flashed across his face as his eyes took in every little detail of the ship, fascinated. Of the gallant figure that also gave the ship its name. A golden unicorn.
To the many small cannons and the three large masts. ,,Isn't she a beauty?" he murmured and walked around the ship a little to get a better look at it. ,,By an old sea captain," the old man said, adjusting his round glasses as he watched his customer. ,,Unicorn," he read the slightly verbal but still legible writing on the stern of the ship. ,,Didn't I say Unicorn from the sixteenth century?". ,,Seventeenth century would be more like it," the younger man almost interrupted him and the salesman seemed to be a mixture of puzzled and offended.
He continued to look at the ship and heard the man's voice, ,,The finest ship that ever sailed of which you will find no other, my friend," he said. The dog owner had already decided that this ship would be part of his collection. My best find today he thought as he pondered the price. ,,I'll give you a pound," he replied, and without hesitation the man was satisfied.
He happily got up from his chair and accepted the coin with gratitude, almost overjoyed. At last he had found someone to take care of his old stuff. Not realising that only a few metres away, an American man was walking through the crowd of people, heading straight for the ship. The seller calmly said, ,,Now be careful" and took the ship out of its protective box before handing it over to its new owner.
He had just taken it in his arms when the unknown man beside them came to a halt, out of breath and sweating. ,,Hey buddy, how much for the ship?" he asked, wiping the sweat from his face with a cloth. ,,Oh, I'm sorry, but I've already sold it to the young gentleman," he said, and the man immediately turned to the boy. ,,Listen, how much do you want for it? I'll give you double that," he said and put a hand on the younger man's shoulder in a gesture of friendship.
An American thought the journalist and shook his head slightly. ,,I'm sorry, but I'm not selling it," the younger man replied and freed himself from the other man's hand.
He saw that the man was not pleased and seemed almost nervous. ,,Look boy, I'm trying to help you. I don't think you're in any danger," he said with a sigh and walked around the smaller one. ,,What kind of danger?" he asked, holding his boat tighter, almost like a refelx. ,,I warned you to get rid of the boat. These people don't play nice," he warned hastily before hurrying away faster than seemed almost necessary. ,,What people?" he asked, though it was more to himself.
He took a step back and felt himself bump into someone. ,,Wonderful," he suddenly heard a voice behind him, it sounded somewhat older, interested and almost fascinated. But who was this fascination for? Him or the boat. Turning around, he saw an older man. His turquoise green eyes had immediately gone to the striking red colour of the coat. A custom made he thought, and underneath a red almost velvety suit vest.
The white shirt at his neck held by the red tie. The beard and the hair in the same dark brown tone rounded off with the glasses which had a golden frame that sat on his face. And in his hands the staff he almost missed.
Likewise a seemingly custom-made piece of wood. He was definitely fascinating for the journalist. The man's blue eyes swept over him, looking from the striking hair to the particular colour of the eyes. To the fine hands that clutched the ship. ,,Do you mind if I pay with a check?" he asked the older man entusiastically, but he only pointed at the redhead. ,,If you want to buy it, talk to him," he said and sat down on his chair.
There seemed to be something almost like fascination in the man's blue eyes. But why? ,,I see...well then let the boy name his price" he demanded more calmly his tone leaving only a small sentence open for the annoyance in his voice.
As he clicked his pen and turned to the younger one. The older salesman mumbled something about his bad luck and missed opportunities as he turned to his things, shaking his head. But neither of the other two seemed to be paying any attention to him, rather, they were both paying attention to each other. ,,I'm very sorry, but I've already told the other man I'm not selling," he replied, and the salesman muttered, ,,Unfriendly American".
This briefly caught the coat-wearer's attention, he glanced past the smaller ones almost hoping to see the man in question. But he was gone, long since disappeared into the crowd. Before he immediately turned his attention back to the younger man. ,,Then let me explain it differently and appeal to your common sense. I am the new owner of Marlinspike Hall and this ship is out of inventory," he explained, seeing how the boy seemed to know what it was all about. ,,The old captain's appeal," he said, and you could hear the fascination. ,,A tragic story, a whole family of drunks and good-for-nothings down on their luck," he began and the younger boy could almost hear the hatred. ,,I'm sorry, but as I said, I'm not selling," he said, and that was his last word.
He visibly grasped the ship and gave it one last look before passing it by. ,,Have a good day Sir," he said and his dog followed him. A few moments later he disappeared into the crowd. ,,This young man, what's his name?" the brown-haired man asked, his dissatisfaction at not being able to buy it clearly visible. ,,Everyone knows him, that's Tintin," the salesman replied.
Tintin could not have known that he was not only being drawn into something that was bigger than everything else. But he also had the attention of a man who would not take no for an answer. With a goal and a fascination he would kill for. As the journalist would soon find out.
Warning: it's another post like SFW and NSFW headcanons post to celebrate the 50 followers. Please,be aware that will be suggestive content so,if you don't like or don't feel comfortable scroll away and ignore,if you read,keep in mind that all of it is my personal opnion by the voices on my mind source. You've been warned.
Tumblr media
☆SFW headcanons☆
Let's begin with a cute one.
it's probably take a while for Tintin to notice his feelings,so haddock was always teasing him when you was with them like:
"Oh! Isn't the [Name] over there? Lookin beautiful don't ye think lad?? Go on and say it for them!"
"Lad,invite they to go with you!"
And even when,after some time it begin to be obvious (except for himself) haddock was dumbfounded.
"Lad,ye still didn't said for them yet?!"
"Said what?"
"for thousand demons- Lad,you like them!"
"Oh of course,they so joyful,undestanding,helpful and..."
"....lad"
"Oh-"
Overal,you thanked Haddock for it later.
Remember when i said that he always give a kiss of goodbye and when he came back?
If he forget,he'll walk back to give the kiss,he need it to start his day properly.
But if he remember about it too far from home,as soon he come back,will make up for it in anyway. A flower,little gift,whatever.
Sometimes you have to remind him of eating (it's basically canon that Tintin don't care too much about food,he just eat because he need to). Things always goes:
"Tintin,it's past the lunch time already"
"Sorry,i didn't noticed. I'll just finish this paragraph"
"I didn't eat and i'm waiting for you"
This always work to make him stop,look at the clock and then back for you. He sigh getting up and walking over to you with a defeated smile.
Stare. We all know that every time,mostly, he hold or follow the peoples gaze while speaking,then expect him looking dead into your eyes while saying how much he love you or just complimenting you in any way.
He do it to show how serious he is tho (words of affirmation 😌🙏🏽)
He like to go out with you,but what he love the most is just to lie down on the couch or bed with you doing nothing. It's his definition of a perfect quality time.
If you know something that can be useful about some case of his,Tintin will ask for your help right away so you don't feel left out
just don't think he'll bring you along because his utmost fear is you end up hurt or worst if you go along.
He's protective for obvious reasons.
Another thing about the stare,you can easily catch him just watching you doing whatever. Cooking,singing,reading,painting or drawing (if you know).
He's admiring and taking mental notes of your little things to compliment it later.
Tintin's a morning person so normally,when you wake up he'll probably have a mug of fresh hot coffee ready to help you wake up
He adore to see your sleepy face and messy hair,try me.
To finish,another cute one.
If he finds the clue to solve the case, with or without your help, he'll end up doing the same thing he did to Haddock.
Tintin will hug you and spin around with you in his arms, bouncing happily. Possibly giving a little kiss too just because yes 😌👌🏽
☆NSFW headcanons☆
Ok. First things first.
✨️Stare✨️
Before you could use it on him,he did it first.
The why he prefer positions that you're facing him is only to keep eye contact as much he can.
He just adore seeing your beautiful face melting in pleasure and when your eyes roll as soon he really begins to move.
If you look away. There's two things that can happen.
Or he'll grab your chin,firmily but never enough to hurt,forcing you to look at him.
Or he's gonna come closer to your ear and ask with his smooth voice,but a bit breathless by his effort:
"Don't look away Darling...eyes on me..."
If you just randomly picked up the brat persona for this time and insist to not look...
You know he's good with words,he's a writer,then you receive:
He suddenly slow down,coming back for the steady pace. His hands travelling your body to touch on every weak spot that he knows to make you even more sensitive.
"You're sensitive already...and i can make you feel it even more...so, [Name],let's see how much you can take it,shall we?"
Remember,he's cynical.
He'll do exactly it. Melting away your bratness tiring you up by overstimulation. This is his way of being "rough" since he feel a bit unease to really go hard on you.
He's protectiveness stop him from doing so because he really don't want to harm you without wanting you know?
To make he really do it,will take some time to warm him up for the idea,he's a big softy.
This can happen only when he's feeling bold enough. Not often but believe me,this will be the best even more because he tie you up when he's feeling like this.
Tintin being bold is he trying to make you vocal and quiet at the same time.
Bear with me here.
He love hearing you? Of course. But seeing you trying to be quiet and most of the times failing and crying out his name? Priceless.
And he'll even tease about it,saying something like:
"You look so adorable like this darling...let's see how much you can keep it down?" Or
"Be quiet [Name]...i don't want to disturbe Mrs Finch too much..."
Expect him saying sorry a lot for his behavior on the next day,he don't regret,just feel a bit ashemed.
Important thing: say his name.
I solely know that this is the high point for him.
Tintin loves hearing his name falling from your lips in a whimper or silent moan.
Definitily proud if he end up making you scream his name (he can. Easily. Try me)
Marks. Probably most of them will be hickyes,he only bites to tease so it don't leave a mark.
But he love receiving it. Bites,hickyes or (favorite one) back scratchs.
He like to feel that slight aching feeling from what your nails had done to his back on the day after.
Fun fact: Mrs Finch really end up complaining about the noises,he profusely said sorry with an awkaward face. After this,he closed the door letting a deep and embarrassed sigh and from this day on you two only do this when she's out lol.
A/N: and here it is! Probably the last one of this type of headcanons and what better than doing it to celebrate 50 followers??? (I mean 52 by now lol) and again,thank you all for this,it's so good to see people really liking my content so much even when i procrastinate a lot. aNyWaYs! I remember discussing Tintin casting choices with a friend from Germany and remarked how it was odd he often has an English accent in adaptations rather than a Belgian one, and my friend just replied "that's because Tintin gives incredibly strong English boy energy (derogatory)"
Here in the UK there's a lot of weird classism tied into accents. Today accent diversity and representation in broadcasting is actively pursued but in Tintin's time there certainly was a preferred accent to have.
imagine this exchange happens between pages 28-29 in The Crab with the Golden Claws
