The Thundermans Return (new poster) (discussion + theory)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There are two versions (that I found so far) of the poster! BOTH are really, really confusing, but let's analyze!
Let's actually start with the background: it's Hiddenville, which makes sense ("The Thundermans Return" to Hiddenville), but we already know that the movie will take place in various locations, so I really hope we will get to see more of Metroburg (and that it will be included in a poster too). But it's really nostalgic and...strangely it sets a very interesting mood. I can't find the right word for it right now. Especially with the color of the sky. You really know SOMETHING is going to go down this time.
Now about the Thundermans. We have Max and Phoebe at the front: the new supersuits look really cool (especially the gloves!) and we have a standard pose that works well. Just one question: WHERE is the rest of Phoebe's left arm. At first thought she had her left hand on her hip, but obviously not, so this remains a mystery for now 🕵️‍♂️. Notice how all of the Thundermans are posing slightly differently and only the twins' poses are exactly the same! We -again-see the golden stripes on Max's arm that stand for being one of the captains of the T-Force (formally the Z-force). He also has a device (maybe a smartphone) in the pocket on his leg. In general, it seems that all the individual suits are slightly different (not just the boys and the girls).
(insert deleted comment about Max's new hairstyle here XD)
I want to talk about Billy next, because I just live for how happy he looks. Look at him. He's happy to be there, he looks cool and he's all ready to go! And no, he and the twins are not on a staircase or something - Diego is simply this tall now (and Phoebe and Max are both in a medium squat).
Next we have Nora: she has darker hair now (resembling Phoebe's hair colour) and I really like the pose she does with her left hand to focus her laser. Unfortunately her stance is slightly strange to me (but that's maybe also because Phoebe's elbow is covering half of her leg).
I don't have much to say about Hank and Barb, so let's move on to Chloe, who the center of this whole picture. I'm really intrigued by this. I love her smile and overall expression -she knows exactly what she's doing. AND - after looking at this picture for several minutes- she's sitting on a FLYING skateboard! Then there's a second flying skateboard with Dr. Colosso on top. WHAT is going on!? My first guess: flying skateboard - hoverboard-time travel. I actually made a post once on how Chloe might be able to travel in time due to her teleportation power. For me it makes sense (I will discuss this again on here soon), because it also helps with my theory of Mayhem's return (from the past, where he was more powerful). Also the "Thundermans Return..." return back to the future!?!? 👀
My last point is related to this theory. I saw this poster and thought it was strange (but very cool still!). And I thought it's the arm or leg placement, the composition, but you know what? It's the light. Let me explain: there are lights that comes from the sky, the background, then the ones from their individual superpowers (lasers for Nora, lightning for Barb etc.), but when you look closely at the wider poster, you will see a strange light in front of Phoebe and Max too. It doesn't look like telekinetic waves (which are normally not visible, but we saw them once on screen in the episode "Cape Fear"). Actually, I think this light comes from Chloe! She's in the middle, but creates a circular light (you can't really tell in the small poster, only in the wide version) around the Thundermans! Notice how Max's hand is almost reaching out through something - could it be a portal!?!? That really should be it, because Dr. Colosso is very obviously traveling through a portal as well. So are the Thundermans going back in time to stop their enemies? To stop Mayhem?!
Okay one more thing: the formation of the Thundermans kinda looks like a T and I'm so here for it. I can't wait!!! And I am so happy we got a poster!!!

A thought
You know, I noticed this on Nickelodeon. Whenever the stylists don't know what to do with the female protagonist of a show after the first season, they always have to resort to the bohemian style. I first noticed it in Victorious when I first watched it on YTV, and then when I was watching The Thundermans, I noticed the same thing. Was it the actor's choice or the creators because they had nothing else to consider?

Non-serious theory my caffeine fuelled brain blessed me with at 1am: Evan and Lucius are, in fact, not the same person.
Evan has been there since before the Thundermans moved to Hiddenville, which we know because Tyler mentioned that they had been friends since middle school. Not only is Lucius' superpower inconvenient for long term undercover missions, if his job was to watch over the Thundermans, what was he doing there?
A possible explanation would be that there might have been another undercover family living in Hiddenville before, since the hero's league also replaced the Thundermans immediately when they had to move. This, however, is unlikely, since Darcy mentioned that her best friend used to live in that house. While it's not entirely impossible that said friend was a superhero (and would frankly explain some stuff), it's overall rather unlikely.
In addition, Evan's personality drastically changed later in the series and especially that episode. In his previous appearances, he was clearly the socially unaware nerd character; meanwhile in the episode of his reveal, he's overall far more nonchalant and arrogant than he used to be. This could technically be explained by Lucius getting tired of this facade and mixing things up a bit, but now we have two hypotheticals, neither of which seem exactly likely.
So, what happened to the real Evan?
It's actually hinted at in the episode in question, when Kickbutt says that they'd never delete Cherry's memories because they're the good guys. The latter part is immediately debunked, but the memory delete is not brought up again. But since Kickbutt herself disproved her statement, it's not that far off to assume that the hero's league does, in fact, delete people's memories, just not in Cherry's case now that Phoebe got involved. Much unlike... you guessed it, Evan, who most likely didn't have a superhero by his side to protect him.
So in conclusion, the hero's league deleted the real Evan's memories in order to replace him with Lucius.
This is obviously a totally stupid way of going around the inconsistencies a majority of such series have, but it was still fun to think about.

New revelation by The Thundermans’ writers:
Max Thunderman was secretly in love with Link Evilman and started to tease him because he favourited Phoebe and Max didn’t want to accept his clear and extreme queerness, then he understood that he was an useless and dead puppet with neither personality and psychological content neither worth of being here beside being Phoebe’s boyfriend (splitted between obsession or complete indifference towards her.)
Guys, seriously, let’s think about it for a sec: isn’t his reason for hating him (“A super villain’s son should be evil, not date goofy girls!”) a bit inconsistent? Especially because Max is actually the son of Thunderman and he acted in a similar manner when Phoebe was dating Oyster!
Max is Thunderman’s son, wants to be a super villain (Sorta, but in his mind this is his role: even if he really and intimately didn’t want it, he thinks it’s true in a rational level, especially in Season 2!) and moves a criticism of such type… hmmm!
Max Thunderman is clearly bisexual or biromantic and we have extremely suspect clues.

I would like to imagine Argo had his accident because he’s a fish boy and hell probably isn’t great on the gills.
I really just don’t want to imagine that this happens to Argo frequently

Why was Max’s and Phoebe’s twin power unlocked?
Hi thunderfam, it’s been a while =) Today I thought, why not talk a little bit about a theory concerning something we have barely discussed in the fandom: The Thundertwins joint power!
We all know Phoebe and Max did hold each other’s hand before (”Are You Afraid Of The Park?” on the roller coaster for example), so let’s look at how exactly it happened:
Tumblr media
Max took Phoebe’s hand and not even half a second later:
Tumblr media
Their twin power is already unlocked. It didn’t take a lot of concentration or a long time. They also immediately know how to use it, as if it was a part of them all along. The way they move to destroy Belfort’s controler resembles other scenes where they joined both their telekinetic blasts to e.g. lift a heavy object/ create a force field.
It’s clearly some kind of electromagnetic force field and a bit simliar to Electrice’s powers, which is something I was especially happy about =)))
Because it was unlocked so suddenly, Barb’s theory of their heavy emotions in this particular moment being the key seems very likely.
But there’s one other thing, a tiny little detail that could have something to do with it also:
All Thundermans are supposed to be powerless, because Belfort controls them via his microchips. Shortly before, he made use of Chloe’s teleportation power to imprison Max with his family.
Tumblr media
Chloe’s power has something special about it. It’s the only power that can be transferred from her to another person BY TOUCH. She’s not creating a portal for someone else to walk through to teleport them, she’s giving the other person the power to teleport directly with her.
Normally, when Chloe teleports with more than one person, she’s in the middle and everyone else around her.
Tumblr media
As everybody starts to hold hands, Max and Phoebe still stand apart from each other. Chloe can’t teleport anymore, because Belfort deactivated her power again...but did this deactivate her power transfer ability as well?
Tumblr media
In this picture, everyone is already in contact, except for Max and Phoebe (even Chloe is like: guys, what are you waiting for???). And then:
Tumblr media
To finally conclude: This is not the first time Max and Phoebe held hands, but it’s the first time they did while - even though over a bridge of several people- Chloe’s is also in touch with them. Could it not be that her ability to share her power, transferred to Barb Hank,Billy, Nora, finally to Phoebe and Max?
Once this connection was created, Phoebe and Max could use it on their own. The difference: while Chloe can hold someone’s hand and then decide to share her ability, Phoebe’s and Max’s twin power is now unlocked automatically when their palms touch. This could be a hint that this is not normal power transfer, but a unique bridge between them. And it was created right there.
In this one, defining moment.

tumblr.com, specifically dc tumblr, i need help so desperately.
for nearly twelve years of my life i have worn the burden of this memory and i so desperately need to know if anyone else has heard of it. allow me to set the scene.
You are me, age six. You are at your best friend’s house, having a sleepover. This friend has left on the TV, and at two-something in the morning you wake up and peak at the TV to see what’s on. It’s a segment called “Bat-Mite and Blobin” and the plot is as follows.
Bat-Mite and Blobin - the actual character of Bat-Mite and a poorly drawn characterization of an actual Robin suit - keep finding victims drained of blood via two holes in their neck. The natural conclusion is that they are hunting for a vampire. After a handful of hijinks that have been lost to time, the reveal is that Blobin has been the vampire all along. He defeats bat-Mite in battle and drains him of his blood by piercing two holes in the bottom of his foot with his teeth and using straws to suck it out.
Now, this traumatized young me. I went back to sleep in fear, and asked my friend about it the next morning. She had no idea what I was talking about and chalked it up to a dream. I went along with this theory for a while, but here’s the issue: I had never watched Batman: the Brave and the Bold, and I had never seen Bat-Mite the character before this moment. In fact, I did not see him again until playing Lego Batman 3, in 2018. Seeing that goofy character revamped this memory and the question arose: how could I have dreamt a comic-accurate character years prior to my discovery of his actual existence?
No one I have asked about this has had any idea what this was, has never heard of it. Searches for Bat-Mite and Blobin has brought me nothing but a character from The Thundermans and the actual Bat-Mite. And so, my desperation has brought me to ask those I trust most to have any goddamn idea what this may be: DC fans themself.
Literally any knowledge about this will indebt me to you for life. When I tell you the memories are so vivid, so real, that I cannot believe that it was a dream, I mean it.
Anyway, yeah, this was stupidly dramatic, but it’s been 12 years and I’m tired of this plaguing my life.

DF S2E2 Things You Missed
Or that I'm obsessed with.
First, a retraction: Having rewatched the first season more closely, I realized Ray figured out a similar solution/plot in a convoluted stream of consciousness of not really connected but loosely connected ideas on his own in S1E23, just as he did last episode. This can probably be considered a new established formula and running joke in the series (at least they're acknowledging Ray's intelligence more).
On to the new stuff!
Ray finally wore JORTS. Silly.
This is only the second or third time Ray has used the "Danger Force, ASSEMBLE" line. (A MCU reference).
Bose has to wear a baby harness to an amusement park.
Ray is such a capitalist. Despite having unlimited wealth (I assume, through the city's budget for superheroes), he is so stingy.
And Miles is such an anti-capitalist! I adore his leftist rants. Too few and far between, but I guess they pack more weight that way.
This is the first time anyone has stopped and waited patiently for Miles to process his vision (and make sure he's not drained/shaken by them). Makes sense it would be his sister, but its still progress. I expect everyone to start doing the same (*wags finger warningly*).
Among Us references. Ugh.
Schwoz in his boxers is a reference to some old movie, but more importantly a repeated joke that Jasper was given in S4E19 (pretty sure that one). Which just reminds me of how good of friends those two were!
Even though Ray 'yells' at him/hurts his feelings, when Bose gets scared he turns to Ray and is visibly shaken by not understanding what's going on. (Again, reminiscent of Jasper, but the mentorships are slightly unique.)
Needles get bigger every time. Cute.
*Wait a minute! Schwoz recommended the blood test. Don't gaslight Ray! Also, I knew it wasn't Schwoz because he did his science thing. And it can't be Ray because, well, no one can mimic Ray.*
"I like it when they run." A callback to Piper's line in S5E15 I Dream of Danger (and recalling Ray/Piper's mentorship).
"Ray-by" - why is he so cute? Also, pinball/victory dance.
1000 rooms in the Man's Nest is a lot. But more so what I would have expected from the Man Cave and reminds me of, say, the Tardis. Unrealistic, but now there's infinite possibilities to build new sets and explore the Man's Nest further in future episodes (without relying on the four or so new ones we see in this episode). It's always cool to explore the living spaces of MCs.
Ray...speaks another language? Fluently?! (Good job Cooper!) So does Miles (at least a farewell)? We're just now bringing this up? (Also, Chopa needs to speak more Spanish, conversationally. And everyone being bilingual, at least partly, kind of makes Bose learning 3, or however many in the quarantine special, a little less impressive.) Alternatively, if Mika can learn French or multiple European languages, the whole team would be able to act as translators for half the damn globe! They could go anywhere!
Unfortunately, RT being in Helper Monkey probably should have been obvious. I definitely didn't catch any of it on the first watch.
Does Ray wear the antlers the entire time? How annoying for filming.
They are not being held prisoner. They are in jail because they're criminals/mutations that would scare and/or terrorize the town. They're at the Man's Nest because Ray's lazy, so they don't overcrowd the Swellview prison and they are more contained by Scwhoz's tech. It's that gray area you work in as a vigilante superhero. Keep up Chopa (whose back and forth mood swings between wanting to be good and wanting to act morally questionable give me whiplash and prevent her from being my favorite; although my theory is they make her swing back and forth to prevent her from being too much like Max Thunderman's character; or maybe they're just trying to write her as complex?).
I don't judge you darling, I'm all for it. But also, 'just in case', lmao. Great line delivery.
I was going to say, hey eating is Ray's schtick, but then he came back and shoved the piece of cake in his mouth, so we're good.
As an unrelated aside, I had the epiphany of, how many African American twin teenagers could there possibly be in Swellview? Meaning that if Miles and Mika are going around telling civilians they are twins in uniform, it would be fairly easy to narrow down their real identities if one wanted to. However, that gets thrown out the window with Chopa barely covering her face as she walks past the video cameras and dies her hair RED! How many Hispanic teenage girls in Swellview have the reddest red hair possible? Loopholes! what secret identities?
Also, also: It makes me sad that the only kid who doesn't have a unique, banter-filled mentor/sibling-like/cool, older uncle relationship that I can point to with Ray is Mika. She's kinda trying to fill in for the role of 'mom' in the group but, due to her age, it doesn't always land (for me). So instead, she just kind of scolds Ray (which everyone does) and continuously brings up her intelligence. I just hope that as the seasons drone on the two can find common ground.
Bandages on the necks. (continuity)
No one is going in the trash rocket!! (And I thought we ran out last episode?)
Chest Monster saying Scooby Doo's catch phrase + the SD chase sequence in the hallway.
The Hybristophiliac in me is being fed by this episode (if you're under 21, don't google that ;)~). Go off Ray! (Also, I think this episode tracks with Ray's trajectory for getting increasingly more vigilante in nature and more violent in his tendencies/proceedings with villains. That, or he really does hate Drex.
There is nothing 'dad bod' about Ray (nothing wrong with one though). They are dad clothes though. Again, I'm not mad, it's just facts.
I super appreciate that cut back to Ray's reaction after Chopa blows Drex away. Just showing how proud he is of his wards.
I already bragged on how much I love seeing each kid face Drex and win!
They had that actor monkey doing all sorts of stuff this episode. I hope he got all the treats! And everyone on set was nice to him.
Cooper flexing in the scene with Rick Twittler is just silly. Stop trying to one up the villains! You're distracting me from the plot!
Also, Chest Monster is a part of this family now. He's my favorite, forget everyone else.
Another cardio joke! And yet, these two guys are the most fit people on the planet, what gives!
MIKA GETS A SUPERHERO LANDING BECAUSE SHE'S A SUPERHERO!!!!
Sending all of the school up to space (where it would realistically disintegrate) is a little dramatic, but makes for a good visual.
Theory time! I know this is late, and the new episode is tomorrow, but I have speculations to get out!
Of all the directions I expected this special to go A) I didn't realize Henry wouldn't show up until the tail end of part 3 or part 4 (he'll be in like 3 scenes, what gives? Why hype it so?) and B) I could never have called going to space. Ray's line confirming they're heading to space seemed a little unnecessary/forced. I assume Schwoz will get them back to earth?
Drex: I mentioned in the last post how Drex feels severely underpowered this episode/special. I think from a production standpoint, this is because he was the big bad in Henry Danger. Henry had to overcome Drex and save the world to reach his full potential as a superhero/character. Rt was too, but he only appeared once whereas Drex was a rule of 3 situation. RT is meant to be a big bad in Danger Force's canon. Drex is only a minion/distraction and minor threat, so he's easier to defeat. From a canon perspective, I think the fact there are more superheroes and they all have powers that they can now control for the most part means they can handle Drex pretty well. This is still no excuse for the continuity error confusing whether Drex recovered his indestructibility or not (I'm certain he should have it, but I suppose the kid's powers are long distance and bypass it?).
Part 3: Part 2 almost felt like an extended episode. There were so many scenes, and character moments, and new things learned (the Man's Nest), and it moved the plot along. Especially if Henry doesn't show up to somehow bring the group back to earth, I really hope Part 3 doesn't feel like a filler episode. The first two have been great, so hopefully the momentum doesn't slow down until after the special.
Format: I guess we're dropping Mika as our omniscient narrator/main character? I loved having her be in the know and narrating in past tense (and bringing importance to her character). It told us bad things were coming but also that everyone (or at least Mika) survived. Without the narrator, the audience is in the dark, we don't know if everyone survives, and it makes it harder to theorize what will happen in the last two episodes :( . The format totally changed between parts 1 & 2.
Villain team up: Rt is smart but has no brawns. He needs Drex to fill in the role of fighter (even if he has an army of upgraded viruses). There are more superheroes, so there needs to be more villains for the kids to face. I hope there's a purposeful villain team up and a big show down rather than Drex getting a 'redemption arc' because he's stuck with the group and has to help them return to earth. We've been through so much with Drex that I'm hoping he doesn't suddenly turn 'good'.
*Ray: Remember how I said 'no one can mimic Ray'? I still think this is true. Ray/Cooper is pretty in it in the final scene and is acting normally. However, both times I watched the episode, it bugged me to no end that he went from trapped in the cell with no way out to in full uniform coming up the tube. We don't see him released/escape, or blow a bubble. Just a hard cut away from his character and then he appears in a new scene with the kids. Speaking excuses that can't be proved because the audience doesn't see it happen.
We know RT is returned to his own body by the end. I don't think RT is possessing Ray. Unless, he can divide his consciousness into multiple places/beings (like Ultron in the MCU) or RT has made 'smarter' viruses that can mimic people/not appear outwardly like viruses. Again, I don't think this is the case. I think this would be too confusing for a kid's show to make Ray 'bad' without context and in such a sneaky form. Maybe they ran out of time at the end of the episode and just had to get Ray into the main room.
But, I don't think it's an accident that earlier in the episode Ray was gaslit by the kids. Mika and others claimed it was Ray who suggested the blood test to find Rick when it was blatantly Schwoz who did. Mistakes can happen in script and continuity errors are not always caught, but this seems like a big one that is blatantly thrown into the script to cause confusion for the kids/audience. Ray was not affected by RT at this point in time because he hadn't had contact with Rick. However, once he goes down into the dungeon and is trapped in the cell, he is left alone with Rick for an extended period which would be the perfect opportunity for Rick to mind control/possess Ray in some fantastical way. I think that if this was a smarter show, Ray would be possessed/controlled by RT in some way to distract the kids and keep Danger Force in space. So if this does manage to happen in some convoluted way, and say, Ray and Drex team up as villains to distract Danger Force, remember I called it here first!
Your word for the day is convoluted because of course the show is! Send me asks if you have your own theories for where the special is going and/or how it'll end! What has been your favorite part so far?

anyway au where while she’s in college piper runs a blog where she makes videos about superheroes and posts theories and anonymous interviews and things like that and one of her articles centers around the thundermans and it actually ends up getting her into trouble with some of their villains but then lasergirl comes to save her and at first piper and nora bicker a ton and practically hate each other but piper keeps running headlong into danger (for the story!) and nora keeps saving her ass and they eventually get to know each other better and nora does interviews for her and piper redesigns her suit and they become really good friends and eventually uhhh girlfriends 👉🏾👈🏾

okay so uhhhhhhhh fitzroy’s a changeling, right??
like, we’re all seeing this?? this thing that is happening??
aight i’m gonna break this down because when i mentioned this theory people were very “???” and i wanna get this out before travis and griffin have a chance to get a gotcha on me. this is gonna be very long and full of spoilers but!! read on!!
okay so this is gonna be sort of hodge-podged together but i’ve grabbed some quotes and i have some sources and we’re just gonna get freaky w it.
so changelings, according to the DND wiki, are:
“subtle shapeshifters capable of disguising their appearance...(they are)  commonly harmless, passive people and are uninterested in politics and social affairs. Due to their capricious ways of life, many people have come to distrust changelings which has led to them becoming social recluses or more commonly has pushed them to create fake identities to escape persecution.”
now, immediately, there are some arguments that can be made against this theory in the fact that this blurb describes changelings as “uninterested in politics/social affairs”, but this wiki article further breaks down their alignment and says that:
“Most changelings are neutral. They prefer to keep a low profile and often do not take passionate stances that would draw attention. However, changelings can be any alignment, and often readily adapt to the culture they are raised in.”
there is something to be said about fitzroy’s passionate devotion to becoming a knight maybe being a product of the environment he grew up in, or perhaps being an outcome of him knowing he will be constantly persecuted unless he makes a solid name for himself. quote supporting this comes from Episode 7 during his talk with Higglemas:
“If you… do the work, and you stay true to whatever cause you swear yourself to, you can… become somebody. Somebody important. Somebody who may someday become even more important, in a way that is not simply guaranteed in any other sort of way of life.”
also! from another dnd wiki comes this lil quote:
“Despite common fears, few changelings embrace evil.”
and that fact is INCREDIBLY evident in how fitzroy has viewed the villain track this entire campaign so far!
but what i am most interested in and why i believe this theory so strongly is just how absolutely shifty fitzroy has been. fitzroy talks A Lot, but if you look at what he says, he doesn’t say Much about his actual life. the most he ever goes into detail with is his removal from Clyde Nite’s Night Knight School, which even then doesn’t touch upon his life before knight school. and even when he’s confronted with times to be honest! to actually open up and talk about things! what does fitzroy do?
he avoids it.
the first Major instance of this i would say is Episode 6, when leon literally goes up to fitzroy and is like “what do you feel about this situation?” and fitzroy says all this surface-level bullshit and basically talks circles around leon until he drops the subject.
THERE IS ALSO SOMETHING TO BE SAID ABOUT THE FACT THAT GRIFFIN IMMEDIATELY ROLLED TO LIE WHEN LEON ASKED IF HE COULD KEEP A SECRET. also fitzroy’s deception stat is Pretty High for a half-elf trying desperately to be a knight, i’m just sayin’...
but also! another moment that fitzroy Completely Avoids Being Honest is this most recent episode (ep 7)!! when higglemas asks fitzroy why he wants to be a knight and fitzroy is immediately like:
“Why do I care about being a knight? Hm. That‘s a fair question that I… would…rather… not… answer to you? Or anyone. If that‘s okay. Is that okay?”
this is a private moment between a teacher (a headmaster even), and a student. most kids would typically see this as a safe space to be honest. but fitzroy is either extremely skeptical of this entire school because he Knows shady shit when he sees it (which is valid, given what we’ve seen of the goings on) and/or fitzroy has Far More to hide than this school does.
which would then make complete sense why the Unbroken Chain would want to know everything about fitzroy. because they’ve started to pick up that fitzroy is keeping A Lot to himself. and that reads as really shady!! even if it is just fitzroy trying to hide his changeling-self so he isn’t persecuted by the masses, like changelings typically Are in DND.
there are so many little moments, too, that just Scream “he’s hiding something” that feel like changeling stuff to Me. imma just chuck a couple of em out:
“It is unusual but you know, beggars cannot be choosers. I have sworn fealty to Goodcastle. Who am I to judge their secrecy?” (ep 3; interesting how he considers himself a “beggar”; possibly speaks to a past where he Has had to scrounge for his way up i.e. new identities; him not judging their secrecy Says Something to how fitzroy feels about people keeping secrets)
“I was just gonna kick it here, I think. No need to bug the folks back home. Uh, Goodcastle is, of course, out of my reach at this moment. Uh, what with my not knowing exactly its, uh, its exact location… upon terra firma. But um, yeah. Just gonna sort of… I guess sit here with the Firbolg and… wait.” (ep 7; fitzroy has been portrayed as this dude who came from a Wealthy Upkeep and has been Consistently complaining about this school, but when the opportunity arrives to go home he decides he’s going to stay??? interesting...)
“I think maybe doing some work might be a good idea. It would be nice to have something, uh, in the old coffers that the three of us could treat as a bankroll for the new Thunderman operation.” (ep 7; another supporting line for “if fitzroy comes from wealth, why would he care about getting more money?”; speaks to his backstory not being solid)
this is also not really a piece of Solid Evidence, but my girlfriend realized in episode 2 when fitzroy is describing how he ended up getting removed from the knight school, he says he “catfished” the headmaster. one can see this as the ally-oop to the “i turned her into a catfish” joke fitzroy makes immediately after this line. BUT remember that catfish is typically a term used when someone uses a fake identity on someone. and we all gotta remember, this is Griffin Mcelroy we’re talking about. if there’s anyone to drop those subtle kinda hints on us, it’s gonna be This Dude.
obviously this theory seems kind of wild, when you read my opener. but i encourage you all to look at the sites i’ve linked and really Look at fitzroy’s character!! i think this boy is hiding a lot more under that charismatic personality and preference for sweet crepes, and this would be a super cool element to fitzroy’s character!

I can’t get over the Adventures of Larry the Lime
You all know the Larry the Lime stories that Argo told in episode 15? What if I told you that Larry the Lime influenced Argo to finally tell Fitzroy about his feelings and the spying? Argo made it clear to (coma) Fitzroy that it’s an example. An example of what? I wouldn’t say Larry is an example for Fitzroy to learn from. I really do believe that Larry is like Argo and the stories reflect what Argo thinks his role to other people should be. He is a mediator, someone who intervenes. We can obviously connect Larry and Argo together because of the lime aspect but the stories Argo tells can help us dive deeper. Clint didn’t just bullshit the stories. There is good intent and meaning behind him to illustrate Argo’s character in a simple children’s story.
Warning: I do go off the rails at some points and I don’t have the energy to edit so good luck. And this is just a theory.
The first story with Carrot and Pear can be easily compared to Argo’s friendship to Fitzroy and Firbolg. I don’t know if it was intentional for Clint to have Carrot and Pear represent Fitzroy and the Firbolg but kudos to him because I didn’t realize that they do fit those foods by their shapes. (Fitzroy=angular/tall; Firbolg=rounder) Of course I’m not saying that the Thundermen are these shapes by body types but in terms of personality? Yes. The story told is about Carrot and Pear having issues with each other while Larry is in the middle and wants to help his friends. I can’t name any time during the campaign where that type of situation happened to the Thundermen but I would not be surprised if something like that happened off-screen (off-podcast? idk). But that’s not the point. Let’s focus on how Larry approaches this. He knows that he can’t fix their problems so he makes a party. To distract them away from the issue? Perhaps so. But he wants to make them happy and have each other make the other happy through this shared activity. He intervenes to boost up their emotions since that is a likely reason for their arguments. He is the mediator, the third party of the group. Argo in episode 11 expresses his feelings to Althea about feeling disconnected from the Thundermen group. Perhaps he thinks that by playing this role, he’ll bring the group together along with himself?
The second story with Quella and Beth is different since there isn’t anything from Argo’s experience that we can connect. Instead, this story is an allegory to Argo’s issues of being a mediator. Larry confronts Quella and lets her know that she’s a great person that deserves great things such as dancing with Beth. He does his usual mediator duty by stepping in and lead Quella to the right direction. We are not sure what happened next but assuming that it’s a children’s story or a good hero story, we can predict that Quella got to dance with Beth (nice). Now, this next part is what’s driving me insane. In the next section, Argo describes, “Larry ... standing in the back of a palace while Queen Quella the Quizberry is crowned the queen.” Clint here pauses before the “white Queen Quella...” so we can’t be sure if that’s what Clint truly wanted to say since he improvised that but we’ll work with what we have. Why is Larry at the back?? Shouldn’t he be supporting Quella during her crowning? Like always, we don’t have the full story and we don’t know if both events happened at the same time. We also don’t know if Quella was dancing with Beth the same night as the crowning or if those are two separate events. I am going to propose the idea that although Larry is happy for Quella and has been there for her, it hurts him to see his friends be successful and have fought their problems while he struggles to reach out for help like his friends do. What other use does Larry have besides to help others? Argo is not needed until he is. He knows this as he is at the back of the palace where he is alone and places himself there to not bother other people. Argo has good intentions. Larry does whatever he can to help his friends and organization, even if it’s with questionable actions. Argo has reached out in the past with his talk with Althea which shows his willingness to open up but he hasn’t really done any actions to really confront his feelings of being a mediator. He’s the middle man for many people that he doesn’t do anything for himself until...
During Argo’s conversation, he uses some of the same words to describe Quella to Fitzroy when he ditches the book and talks straight to him. Quella isn’t Fitzroy but Argo recognizes Quella in Fitzroy as both of them are struggling with the fear of other people’s perceptions of them. I see this as Argo coming to the realization that he needs to confront Fitzroy and finally tell the truth on his feelings about Fitzroy and the spying. Argo does this for himself to tell Fitzroy how he really feels in case Fitzroy departs from the world. Did I just say that Argo reading Larry the Lime influenced his decision to tell Fitzroy about his feelings and the spying? Yes. I truly think Clint came to that decision to spill the beans because of Larry’s actions to Quella.
Let’s put it this way. Argo/Larry sees that Quella/Fitzroy is in distress. Argo/Larry ensures that Quella/Fitzroy is a good person and they are proud to be their friend. Quella finally dances with Beth. Fitzroy? Well, depending on what happens, he’ll get his goal, thanks to the support of Argo. What does Argo get out of this? Honestly? Nothing. (besides happiness for his friend) I didn’t say that Argo fixed his own issues by opening up to Fitzroy but he has clearly taken a step to. We wouldn’t have gotten the moment of Argo telling Fitzroy that he’s a good person if it wasn’t for Argo reading Larry the Lime and I STAND BY THAT. In conclusion, Larry the Lime tells us about Argo’s feelings towards his role in the thunderman group and who he thinks he is as a person as the third man, the odd one out, the mediator.

Game shakers disrupts the delicate balance of nick sitcoms I have the chart in my head but I coupdnt possibly write it down right now just know it twists and turns about
They watch Icarly and in iCarly they watch drake and josh and so does victorious so its safe to believe icarly and victorious live in the same world esp from the crossover and drake and josh is a TV show same to be assumed of zoey 101 (I never seen it Im probably wrong)
In icarly and victorius they both use Pear products, and in sam and cat its pointed out that in their tv shows, they use Banana products to avoid using Pear products, In reference to copyright law. SINCE sam and cat is still a TV show, irl in that world there should be a different fruit product. But in Game shakers, they still use Pear products, which if copyright law is real enough to be joked about on TV, victorius and icarly should not be using them, UNLESS they live in a world where copyright laws once existed, but now dont.
Onto the next round, Henry Danger and Game Shakers have a crossover. And henry Danger and Thundermans touched too. So Game shakers exists in a world where superpowers exist. Less discussion to be had here
Come to the conclusion that:
Game shakers confirmed that Icarly and Victorious are just TV shows, Drakenjosh just a show within a show that we can watch too.
Nathan cress and the rest of the cast of them shows are just actors and often get harassed by fans
Copyright laws regarding whats on TV in the game shakers universe once existed, but are now more lenient or even totally gone as shown by the usage of Pear peoducts both by the game shakers cast and the cast of Victorious
Game Shakers and Henry Danger have touched, Henry Danger in canon proves the multiverse theory true for them (Thanos boot episode)
Game Shakers and all the shows it touches are a different and equal universe from ours, where superheroes exist this is really boring writing this conclusion just put my pieces together yourself.

League of Extraordinary Geniuses || Chapter 6
I’d been trying NOT to, in case others wanted to read this story, but at this point, I’ve only seen fans of these fandoms interact, so there will be things mentioned that if you didn’t watch the shows, you’ll be lost about. So sorry if there are others here now, but I am mostly writing for those who have interacted and let me know their thoughts and feelings about this story and they’ve all been familiar with Lab Rats, Henry Danger, and The Thundermans, so… this chapter in particular has some things that it would be much too much to explain it all, from LR canon and a bit from HD too, and I’m sorry if there are readers unfamiliar with that, but y’all haven’t let me know that you’re here.
Y’all probably didn’t expect another update this soon, but what had happened was the last chapter would have been too long, so I found a point to cut it for that one. Also, a story line that I wanted to touch on this story, but didn’t realize how I would incorporate it until @kiddangers made a post about it either her or on her Instagram, can’t remember, and she sparked the topic and now it is a major story arc in this fic, which might be hella hurtful at some point, but... If you’re in for the ride, you’re in for it, Friends.
@verified-dumbass @just-a-j-reallly I’ve decided not to continue tagging anybody else that hasn’t interacted, out of courtesy and just feeling awkward about tagging people that are nonresponsive to it.
What if I’m the Monster
Conspiracy theories were running wild and fortunately, all of the communities that had reason to think that they might be able to be linked to this scandal quickly took action to try to clear their records and discover who the real guilty party was. The bionic, supers, and non-super communities all began their own investigations as to what might have happened while the collaboration of Dystress, Shoutout, Thunderstrike and Chase Davenport were on the ground, assessing the scene themselves. Of course, Chase was the spokesperson and mission leader. That would put everyone at home at better ease.
“Myself and a team of trusted heroes have been working practically nonstop since the torpedo attack to figure out what took place here. There were some recent developments that I’m not at liberty to speak about, which Davenport Industries had been handling, and one of our facilities was going to be attacked, when fortunately, a superhero stepped in and managed to save it and all surrounding innocents that might have been caught in the crossfire. We have recovered several remains, but they are as of this moment inconclusive. What I can assure the public of is that my current team and the Davenport brand will be working hard to get to the bottom of this tragedy and keep the citizens of Jamaica safe from any further threats…”
He and Shoutout left the press conference and returned directly back to the crash site that Dystress and Thunderstrike were at. Thunderstrike had telepathically tunneled a lot of the water, froze it in pillars, and Dystress used her scanning systems for wreckage. With this tactic, they had found numerous parts of the jet and some torpedo shrapnel, but it wasn’t until Chase returned, with his hypersenses that they found the first possible remains of an assailant… “I don’t know how to say this,” he said.
“With your words, perhaps?” Max offered.
“That’s an android…” He sighed. Max unfroze the pillar, and Chase telepathically collected the android remains to them. The four looked down at it for a while. There was very little human DNA left to him. Some hair and facial components, a few fingers, and everything else was charred and shattered metal. “They’re starting to enlist them against their brethren,” Chase said sadly. “I don’t know why I didn’t think about that happening. Of course they would! Who better to go toe to toe with them than their own kind?”
Max and Charlotte noticed that he was really upset about this. Charlotte beckoned over some Davenport analysts to quietly collect this, so that the three of them could inspect the body later. She also decided that they had been working too hard and would need a break. At the very least, Mika would, so she dismissed her and told her to try to get some rest.
“And, you probably should too. You’ve been out of your chamber for days,” Charlotte observed. Chase folded his arms and watched as the employees took the android away.
“I want to begin studying him, right away.”
“I do too, but we’re only human. We do need to rest.”
“We’re not ONLY human,” Chase argued.
“No, but we still need rest and we’ve earned it. You, especially.”
“Why, him especially?” Max asked. Charlotte just threw him a look. It was so smart of her to have a mask that covers her mouth instead of one that covered her eyes, because those looks were a weapon of their own. “Fine. But, if he’s resting, we all should rest and let the androids keep watch while the Davenport searchers keep collecting samples.”
“Is that agreeable, Chase?” Charlotte asked.
Chase sighed and reluctantly nodded his head. He knew that she wanted him to get some rest and she had a point, afterall. The three of them went to the safehouse and tried to calm their nerves and settle in.
You would’ve thought that they would be so drained that they would immediately all fall to sleep, but all were restless. Max passed by Mika and knocked on the door, “Hey. You gonna get some sleep, or what?” He asked. She furrowed her eyebrows and looked at him, the expression gesturing to the fact that she was clearly on a call. He waved his fingers at Chapa, on the screen and then pointed at Mika, “Sleep in, if you need to in the morning, but try to at least lay down for the night. You can talk to your girlfriend some other time.”
Mika scoffed and shook her head, “Goodnight, Max.”
Chapa asked, “He thinks we’re girlfriends? Awesome.”
Mika replied, “He said that just to be annoying.
Max smirked to himself as he headed for the shower. Charlotte was in the bathroom, brushing her teeth and washing her face and such. She usually did that before getting into the shower, so he said, “I’m goin’ in,” and she nodded. It didn’t bother her, but he liked to at least be clear. He was in the shower, sort of zoned out and thinking while she sprayed her locs with oils and finished up her preshower things. They crossed paths switching up who was in the shower and didn’t even have the energy for some risque joke about it.
Charlotte knew that it had to be just as heavy on their hearts as it was on hers… They freed the androids and now it seemed that at least one or some of them not only didn’t appreciate it, but might make it hard enough that they could be in serious trouble for even attempting it.
When she came out of the shower, Max was still in the mirror, doing his thing. This was the one of the quickest times either of them had ever taken in a bathroom before. He was just staring into the mirror, holding his toothbrush, though. “Hey… You okay?”
He blinked and then looked at her in her robe, holding a jar of body butter. He smiled and nodded. “How can I not be. I’m in the best place in the world - with you.” He came over and kissed her on the forehead. “It’s gonna be okay.”
She sighed, “It better be. You and Chase let go of a lot to be here.”
“I can’t speak for him, but a lot is here for me.” He cupped her face and pressed his forehead to hers. “I’m gonna make sure Mika’s got everything she needs, then I’m crashing in your room, if that’s okay.”
“I was gonna crash in Mika’s room,” she said. “She has nightmares sometimes after a stressful day and the last few days have been hell for me, so I can only imagine what they’ve been for her.”
“You could very well imagine. You’ve been a hero for a while, now.”
“I forgot how this felt. When something serious and dangerous is staring you in the face and you literally don’t know if you’re about to die. I feel… triggered. I hate that she has triggering memories now, and one of the scariest days in her life has taken place because she’s here for me.”
“Mika is where she wants to be. We all are. We chose you, Char. Come on. Let’s check on the kid and get to bed.”
They peeked into Mika’s room and Chase was in there, moving around. “What are you doing?” Charlotte asked in a whisper.
“She was having a nightmare. I kept hearing her whimpering, so I’m trying to calm her down or something,” he said. He looked tired and irritated, but he was also concerned. Charlotte rubbed his back and took over. She put on some music, sprayed some fragrance, handed Mika her beloved plushie, rubbed some oils on her feet, tucked her in and strummed her scalp. After a moment, she was snoring and the trio left her to it. Charlotte would be back, but she had this grave nagging feeling that she needed to make sure that they got to bed too. She felt like this was her fault, no matter what Max said to try to smooth her over. They had followed her into this and this had become tricky.
“I’m going to try to get us a bigger space when I have time, so that you two don’t have to squeeze into the same room,” she said, not knowing what else to say.
“It’s fine. I put my chamber in your room, so Max can have the spare to himself.”
“Nice try, but I’m crashing in her room. She’s got all the good sleepy time stuff like candles and… stuff and I’m sleeping in there, as well.”
“It’s fine. You two are always welcome to crash in my room. I’ll set the mood for you.” She similarly fixed the room as she had done for Mika, programmed some things into Chase’s chamber and when both her guys were asleep, she ducked out of the room and into a video call with Jasper and Henry.
“Char! Thank goodness! We’ve been trying to reach you for days. I was starting to think that the footage of Dystress on the news was altered and you’d been taken into some underground prisoner chamber!” Jasper worried.
“Nope. Just been taken to depression town. Was hoping you had some feel good stories about the kids or something to help me cheer up.”
Henry nodded, “Say no more. Jasper’s been making all of these musical fan videos of the kids and putting them on our DingDong account.”
“Oooh, I’m gonna check those out.”
“ALSO… We got the uh… shipment…” Henry said and looked more serious now. “They’re in the Dome. Wasn’t sure if they were capable of being at Budding Flowers.”
“They’re not defected. They’re free, and want to work with children. Your charity is one of the most successful ones in the world, currently. Androids are people too.”
Jasper winced, “Only… They aren’t… and… well…”
“Ray is freaking out about the recent news that androids now have autonomy, because if you remember, a Piper from the future came back to tell us that hell on Earth was a road paved by a robot takeover. They created ones that looked like children. Jasper and I just don’t feel comfortable, at the moment letting androids interact with kids that we’ve vowed to protect…”
“Wow. You two think that I’ve kickstarted the end of the world?” She asked, feeling absolutely worse than she had before she called them.
“No. We think that you would do anything to help others and to fix the world and that there are others out there who will take advantage of that, if they get the chance,” Henry offered.
Jasper added, “Schwoz’s friend from Davenport was telling us all about an android rebellion that once almost took place. His ex girlfriend’s models are the same ones that you designed yours after. Come ON, Charlotte…”
“She intended for them to be used for evil. There’s a big difference in our work and the results. Wow… I’m going to go check on Mika. Have a good night.”
“Char…” Henry said.
“Good night, Henry!” She hung up, frustrated and ready to cry. Not because she felt like they were being mean or hard on her. Because, they had a point and she couldn’t believe that her messiah complex had allowed her to miss it beforehand. They didn’t even KNOW about the android remains that were found. Oh God, what if she was the figurative first horseman? Conquering the academic world, looking like a savior to all because of her penchant for improving lives and society and her solutions that help and bring about peace… only to also be the reason that war and bloodshed roll in, and then famine and disease and death… How on Earth she got from messiah complex to I am literally the antichrist, she was unsure, but that was where her mind was whenever she began to doze off.
.
Mika woke up in the middle of the night from a nightmare. She was gonna get some warm milk with lavender honey and maybe a patty, if there were any more in there. She found Charlotte, sitting on the patio, asleep with her head on her laptop. She went to get Max, but neither him nor Chase were in their room, so she checked Charlotte’s and there they both were. Chase in his chamber, Max in Charlotte’s bed, covered by pillows, with a sleeping mask on and the smell of candles and incense heavy in the air. She woke him up, “Charlotte fell to sleep outside.”
“What?” He asked, half asleep, but jumping out of bed, anyway. He collected Charlotte. Mika collected her devices and they put her back in her bed. Mika felt left out, and grabbed her blanket and stuffie and came into Charlotte’s room too. With her in Charlotte’s bed, Max made a little fortress on the floor and quickly went back to sleep. Mika was awake for a while, but Charlotte’s arm draped around her and she fell back to sleep.
Charlotte got up and looked around the room. She didn’t remember coming to bed and now, she had Chase in his chamber, Max on the floor with half of her pillows, Mika in her bed and her own head was spinning, because, as she just recalled, she’d cried herself to sleep. Still, she was the first person awake and she started her day without waking any of the others. Eventually, Max and Chase came into the lab, where she was evaluating all of the diagnostics on the remains, listening to music, and talking on the phone, “Well, if I can get those remains sent to me, it will help me to determine how likely the root of that issue is and to ease your mind and maybe others,’ in the process.” Chase looked at the screen and Max went straight to the autoblender. “Okay. Thank you for your cooperation, and tell Douglas to learn to keep his fat mouth shut when he’s in the room with MY people.” She hung up and looked up, “Good morning.”
“What’s that about Douglas?” Max wondered, while Chase breezed through all of the research.
“He was talking to Ray and Schwoz about Giselle Vicker’s plans to use androids for a hostile takeover and now, one of THEEEEEEEE STUPIDEST powerful men has ideas in his head about the free androids and a robot rebellion and… Anyway, Schwoz is gonna send me the remains of a robot from the future so that I can study it.”
Max and Chase both stared at her blankly, then looked at each other. “How long have you been awake, Charlotte?” Chase asked.
“I got enough sleep,” she snapped, shaking her head. “In another, idk 20 years or so, maybe less… there is supposed to be a robot takeover inspired by the Terminator movies. Thanks to Douglas having a conversation with Ray, he now thinks that I’ve somehow set things in motion for that to occur.”
“Well… If you have, it’s done now. Besides, the fact that you have a robot from the future to work on is all the proof you need that it was gonna happen anyway,” Max said, making a smoothie. “I wanna see the robot, though. Let me in on that.”
“You and I need to keep searching for remains,” Chase reminded him.
“That’s not gonna take us the rest of our lives. By the way,” Max said to Charlotte as he poured the smoothie, “Told Mika to sleep in. Marx arrived today, so you can get him to do anything that she was gonna do.”
“Who arrived?” Chase wondered, because he was supposed to approve anybody that anyone was trying to bring into the loop and he hadn’t spoken with Max about anybody.
“His personal android assistant,” a male voice said from the doorway and Chase gasped and prepared himself to attack.
Max rushed to jump in front of Chase and said, “Sorry, sorry, sorry… It was supposed to be hilarious, but then things took a turn and I didn’t get a chance to explain to you. This is my personal android assistant, Marx. I made him in the Marcus model form to fuck with you, but I promise, he’s of no actual ties to your Marcus.”
“That you know of,” Charlotte said. “I tried to talk him and Douglas OUT  of this.”
“Douglas missed his son’s face and had some regrets and I wanted a personal android assistant. I thought it would be quite humorous to have him walk up to you one day, but fate had other plans,” Max said.
Chase was staring at the android. It looked JUST like Marcus. Why would Douglas allow this and not tell him? What if Leo had seen this thing? Marx was staring back at Chase, but he had a polite semi smile on his face. “Keep it away from me,” Chase said.
“Marx uses he/him/his pronouns,” Max said and patted Marx on the shoulder. “They/them/theirs, at the very least.”
Chase smiled tightly, “Keep him away from me, and I MEAN that, Max Thunderman!” He stormed out of the lab and Charlotte shook her head. “I asked you to give Marx a different face.”
“I didn’t have time!”
Marx said, “If it pleases you, I could work on some programming to change my face, however, I don’t prefer to do so.”
“Naw, keep your face. Just… stay away from the little guy.”
“From Mr. Chase Davenport. Got it.”
.
Chase was livid. How could that POSSIBLY be seen as a joke? If he knew about Marcus, he HAD to know about all of the pain and terror he caused the family! That only made him feel a resurgence of hostility towards Douglas. Sure, they were on pleasant terms, but some part of him would always hold on to, at least a little bit, the things that he had been willing to do to his own. Really, he was the reason that Marcus was so terrible, then he just left him, for Giselle Vickers to find and… Chase was getting extremely furious thinking about this. Marcus had been one of the first major betrayals done to him. He thought they were friends, and not only were they actually enemies, but that was his brother who his father had turned against him and he hated that Max Thunderman would casually try to prank him by showing him such a face.
After a while, Max joined him, silently at first, but they both felt the tension there. They were silently working. A few times, a question came up in one of their minds, but neither of them wanted to break the silence, because it was uncertain whether it would relieve the tension. Finally, Max had to break. “It was messed up of me to make a Marcus model android with the intention to shake you up. I knew a little bit about the situation and not whatever it was that your memory tapped into back there. And, I really didn’t know you at the time, either. I didn’t think about how it would affect you like this and I certainly didn’t think you and me would be on the terms we are on right now. So, I hate that I took a joke so far, but it was all me. Douglas really just liked the feeling of seeing his son’s face again. And Charlotte, of course told me the entire time that it would be harmful. I just go too far sometimes.”
Chase was breathing heavy the entire time. Waiting on Max to actually apologize, not just list what happened. But, then again, why would he? He was obviously the type to get pleasure out of people’s pain and not even care about their personal trauma at the expense of a stupid laugh. He was much too smart to just “not realize it’d be that harmful,” so Chase wasn’t eager to listen to him and definitely not going to trust him.
“I guess the perks of being raised in a picture perfect family don’t include having some respect for others who weren’t so privileged,” Chase said. And that was all he felt like he needed to. To dive deeper, he’d dig deeper into his own problems, and he still had work to do.
“My family wasn’t perfect, but I wouldn’t have wanted somebody to make fun of our problems either. That’s what I’m trying to tell you. I’m sorry…” Max said, and it really sounded genuine. Chase almost let his guard down. But, he knew that he’d let his guard down with Marcus… With Sebastian… He’d been let down basically any time he ever let his guard down and Charlotte was the one exception to that thus far. He was fine with that fact. “Apology accepted,” he lied, and didn’t want to speak of it again.
Max felt horrible. Chase looked like an angry little sad puppy. Like… Seeing Marcus’ face REALLY did something to him. There wasn’t a lot of information, so he only knew the highlights that had been shared with him from Douglas, and it honestly sounded like, from what he’d been given, that Marcus kinda got the shit end of the stick. Max was starting to see that Chase probably got those types of ends more than his persona of perfection revealed. “If anybody ever tried to do something bad to you, I’m gonna have your back. I’m shitty sometimes. I do mean stuff. I don’t always prove to be the best sort of human, but… You’re a good person, despite how annoying you can be and I’m still probably gonna let you down and give you shit, but… I honestly do have your back,” Max said.
Chase sighed, “My back is fine. Can we please just finish this up?” Max got back to work, but he heard Chase mumble, “I’m not gonna be fooled again.”
.
All three of them were looking at what they knew to be EVERYTHING that could possibly have been left behind, while the other agencies went through the waters and the islands to double and triple check. Androids were surveilling them, to ensure that nobody planted anything, though Chase at this point trusted the androids about as much as he’d trusted the bionic army.
Max rarely trusted anybody, but he was trying not to waiver in his faith in Charlotte.
Charlotte was simply defeated and trying to think. “If I have to spend the rest of my life preventing it, I will.” She looked at a chip that was more advanced than her work, but definitely carried her signature and held her emblem. The robots from the future… The ones that would revolt and enslave humanity? They were connected to her work. She threw the chip across the lab in frustration and stormed out.
Max and Chase waited. They looked at each other and Max wondered, “What do you think?”
“I think that it’s the androids. I think that they have autonomy and that humanity won’t allow harmony and that they will rise up against them after they’ve gotten tired of being oppressed. What I will never believe is that Charlotte is responsible. She wanted to do right for someone. It wouldn’t be her fault that they betray her.” He fumed and groaned, “Androids never should have been created.”
Max scoffed, “We could say the same thing about bionics! And how do we know that it isn’t something that a human tried to do? They always try to harm anybody different, especially if they read as more powerful. It could be one of the thousands of geniuses we’ve sought out over the past few weeks, or one of the… of her trusted employees…” Max tugged his hair a little and said, “Whoever it is… We’ve got to stop them. This can’t be the legacy forged for Charlotte’s good deeds.”
“I agree with that,” Chase said, and he meant it. He summoned the chip to himself and said, “I’m going to use every skill that I have to try to find a link to someone or something that answers these questions. But first, we’ve gotta make sure our woman is okay.”  He set it down and Max nodded his head. They found Charlotte near the Man Copter, hugging Mika and sending her away, for her own safety. Mika was crying and begging her not to do this, but Charlotte was definitely in a mode right now. There was no way she could let whatever was happening tarnish this bright young girl that she loved and cared so much for.
“I won’t leave you out. I’m sharing everything with you. I just want you out of range until we figure out who tried to attack the place, okay?”
“Okay,” Mika said, ugly crying and nodding. She added, “But as soon as it’s safe, I come back, right?”
“At the very instant!” Charlotte told her.
“Okay.” She waved at Max and Chase, who she saw watching, then strapped herself in.
“She’s going to one of my safehouses with the twins and their nanny, and will be working remotely. She felt like I was punishing her for this.” Charlotte shook her head. “Listen… I need some physical gratification now. I’m sorry if that seems toxic or foolish, especially considering how things are going at the moment, but I have to have release. I have to feel something primal and satisfactory. So… I’m going to head to Dystopia  for a little bit, but I’ll keep contact with you.”
“Dystopia? What’s in Dystopia that will give you what you need that you can’t have here?” Chase wondered.
“Her boyfriends,” Max said, sadly.
Charlotte wiped her face, “I just… Need to connect and I need it ASAP. I’m sorry…”
“Don’t be. We understand,” Max said. She could tell that he was furious, despite his words, but everyone knew that Henry and Jasper were where her home is and she did love Max and Chase, but they didn’t know how to handle everything she was currently experiencing. Plus, she owed the Defenders an apology, for questioning her, when it turned out that despite the fact that the idea came from a sensitive place, the worries were valid.
“We’ll come too,” Chase said. “We’ll stay out of the way, but I don’t think that the three of us should have that much distance between us right now. We need to stick together.”
“I agree,” Max said.
“Yeah. Of course, if you two still are in it with me.”
“Charlotte, you may not realize this yet, but… Max and I are yours, too.” Chase said. He had blurted it out, and didn’t want to follow it up, but he meant it, and fortunately, Max didn’t argue with him. “So, to Dystopia, I guess.”
“I’ll show you around while they’re having their reunion. You only ever got to visit during crises, right?” Max said, relaxing a little as he turned to Chase, feeling closer to him right now than Charlotte, after this no matter how unintentional, but all too familiar form of rejection from her.
“Yeah.”
“I have some roots in Dystopia. We’ll have a Max’s World Day Out, yeah?” Chase didn’t want to do that at all, but he shrugged his shoulders in surrender, anyway. “To Dystopia,” Max said and wrapped an arm around Chase’s shoulder, walking him away from Charlotte. She gave them a smile, and for a moment, felt like maybe she didn’t need to visit Dystopia and see the guys… But then again, that little moment of complete comfort elsewhere? Well… She’d at least owe it to Henry and Jasper to let them know that maybe her heart had moved on...

uh oh! I just looked up imps to see what the various DnD wikis of the internet had to say about them, and in Forgotten Realms lore:
[their] job was to assist and corrupt mortals whom their masters wanted groomed to the side of evil
which is uhh... a little reminiscent of Hieronymous transferring Fitzroy to the villain track, isn’t it?
of course, I could just be paranoid, and Travis might not be adhering to this particular piece of imp lore, but the “Fitzroy gets groomed into being the big bad” theory has me extremely on edge and the more I think about it, the more afraid I am for our Thunderman
