Arulmozhi Varman had never been this confused in his whole life, it had been ten days since he had seen death face to face, ten days since he had jumped into the ocean to save his Uyir thozha from getting drowned . He had spent those ten days in a semi-conscious state , drifting between nightmares and realities. He clearly remembers the touch of a soft hand on his temple, the whisper of a few words and a lullaby in his ears in between those horrible dreams trying to lessen his pain . Who was that? Was it the Samudra Kumari or was it his akka's dear Thozhi , Kodumbalur ilavarasi?
If it was the latter, what was she doing here in the vihara? Arulmozhii let out a frustrated groan as he tried to remember those words that the mystery girl was whispering in his ears , something along the lines of how she had dedicated her life to him , and how she had belonged to him since the beginning of time.
If that's the Kodambur ilavarasi…. how is he going to break the petal-like heart of that young maiden? How can he tell her that she doesn't belong to him and probably never will?
‘Akka, why did you have to give her high hopes?’ he despaired.
"Arul!"
Arulmozhi looked up to find his dear akka standing in front of the door, her wild hair falling over her temple , her eyes glistening with tears. Arunmolzhi didn't expect to see his sister, the picture of perfection like this. He thought she would come running to him smiling widely, her eyes overflowing with happiness, and tell him how a certain Vanar warrior had been successful in stealing her heart. But there she was , looking like a lost woman, which hurt his heart.
“Akka?”
Something bad had definitely happened. His sister would never look like this, especially after he had just woken up. He knew how much she loved him.
“Kanne, you are up!” she ran to him, cupping his cheeks and kissing his forehead.
"Oh how worried I was, Arul! I felt like I had lost the post precious person, I am so happy that you are fine . Don't ever dare to leave your dear sister like this!"
"I won't , I promise, akka" Arulmozhi smiled as he wiped away his akka's tears."How can I ever leave you, akka? Without your guidance I couldn't do anything in life. I will never leave you, I promise! Now don't cry , I can't bear to see tears in my dear sister's eyes . They don't suit you, akka.”
“Tears are going to be normal for me, thambi,” she whispered, shaking her head.
“What do you mean, Akka?”
“Adhellam thevai illai, kanna, (all that is not necessary, dear one)” she said, sitting next to him. “You tell me, how are you feeling?”
"Much better, but tell me something. Is your Uyir Thozhi here?"
A smile formed on Kundavai's lips by this question, all the sadness and doubts suddenly vanishing from her face. She knew it! Her thambi would never go against her wishes. Vandiyathevan was wrong, she hoped. He doesn't care about that boat girl, romantically, did he? She knew her younger brother and knew he cared for every human being dearly. But how could he care for Samudra Kumari like that, when it is Vanathi who resides in his heart?
" She is , but why do you care, thambi?"
"I d-don’t!" Arunmolzhi answered, covering his face with his hands, knowing he did not sound convincing. He could feel his head threatening to burst.
"I am worried that her being here will only make her hopes high! She will think that I want to marry her, and I don’t want to hurt her."
“She knows you don’t want to marry her,” Kundavai suddenly responded, her tone all too neutral, startling Arulmozhi. “Do not assume things about my thozhi without knowing her. This is not what I taught you, or what Patti did.”
Arulmozhi stared at his sister with wide eyes, wondering what had happened. But he also felt guilt creep in.
Had he judged the Princess too harshly?
Akka was right, he did not know much about her, despite his… Oh, he understood now. He had attempted to ask his Akka about her, and that had fueled his Akka’s desire for him to marry her Thozhi.
“If you don’t want to marry her, fine. I will marry into a Kingdom with two Princes so that one of them can marry Vanathi,” Kundavai responded, still calm. “I will not separate from her.”
“I.. what?”
He was shocked. His Akka.. Vanathi… he suddenly could not shake the image of Vanathi marrying another man, and how awful it made him feel. Even the feeling of the fever had not been so bad.
“Akka, you said you would never leave Chozha Nadu.”
“I won’t, but I will ensure my Vanathi has a happy life, and is also with me,” Kundavai said.
“Is that why you wanted her to marry me?” Arulmozhi did not know why it saddened him.
“No. The best of men can marry only the best of women.”
"And you really believe that Vanathi is the best for me? I know you love her, but how can you think that she is everything I want?"
Kundavai sighed at her brother's words, as if they hurt her head and heart.
" Maybe she is not what you want, but she is everything you need. She fits perfectly with you, she is the water which reflects your light. Her kind heart is the perfect match for your noble one , she will understand you more than anyone. You need someone innocent and pure like her to survive in this world. Vanathi will be the cooling shade in your life after a long day. She will provide you with peace and happiness. Do you know what Jothidar told me about her? He said that Vanathi would give birth to one of the greatest kings of all times and she would marry a man who will one day become the king of the kings! Don't you see how everything matches with you?"
"Then is this the real reason, Akka?” Arunmolzhi inquired in a low voice, unable to keep his hurt completely hidden. "You want me to marry her because of her fortune? Not because of the fact that she will love me?"
" What are you even saying, Arul? It's nothing like that. I want you to marry her because I know that she is perfect for you! I know she is in love with you, and she will help you achieve your goals.”
"What if I want to forge a new path, Akka?"
"Wh..what do you mean?"- Kundavai was taken aback by her brother's sudden declaration. What is happening? Why is Arul suddenly behaving like this? The Arulmolzhi she knows never dared to go against the wishes of his akka, but this…
"I just mean that I am tired of all this akka! I am tired of all the expectations you people have from me , I am tired of this royal life , it suffocates me. The three months that I spent in Eezham, away from the kingdom, away from all the courtly politics, were the three best months of my life . And this makes me believe that maybe I am not meant for all this greatness you talk about, or the throne. Maybe I just want to live a simple life exploring this beautiful world rather than sitting on a throne and dwelling in politics!"
Kundavai sighed, and looked at her brother.
“Why this drastic change, thambi? You are not one to give up on your motherland.So why the sudden change? Was Vanthiyar right? Is it the Samudra Kumari?”
“The Samudra Kumari? Poonkuzhali? What does she have to do with this?”
" The least you can do right now is not lie to me, thambi! I deserve the truth! Are you going to leave us, Kanna? Please tell me you won’t? And what about my Vanathi?”
"I …akka!"
" Ilavarasi!"- Kundavai and Vandiyathevan turned around to find Vandiyathevan standing at the door.
" I am sorry, but the crown prince is here."
Aditha Karikalan knew from the very moment he stepped onto the periphery of the Buddha Vihara that something wasn't right. His suspicion was further confirmed when he came face to face with his siblings. It had been almost a year since he had seen his siblings, one year since the day he came to know about his beloved's marriage to his thatha. He could feel something was going on between his siblings , something that they were purposefully hiding from him. Kundavai's twinkling eyes and Arulmolzhi's morose demeanor clearly hinted in that direction. Even his best friend, Vallavaryan Vandiyathevan, who is known for his charming nature, seems to be sulking around the Vihara all alone. Aditha covered his face in frustration.He may have been a bit busy, but that doesn't mean his siblings have outgrown him? Then why are they not sharing their problems with him? Do they not trust him? Or do they think he is a madman who is incapable of helping them?
The sound of prayer coming from Vihara, interrupted his thoughts.
"No!"- Aditha thought aloud ,
" I may have abandoned my siblings before, but now I am here and I will not let them suffer as long as I am alive."

The Soldiers and all the servants bowed as the regal looking man walked hastily into the anthapuram. His best friend and advisor, who was also his brother-in-law matched his steps side by side beside him and the duo made haste towards a certain chamber.
Raja Raja Chozhan was discussing about Political Matters with his Thozha Vallavarayan Vandiyathevan, when a maid barged in and cried about how his Queen Panchavan Madeviyaar had collapsed near Ponni in the arms of Udaya Pirattiyar. The world seen to zone out as his mind was filled with constant thoughts, his mind reliving his whole life with her till now.
"Thambi!" He heard his elder sister's cry as she ran towards him with his wife Abhimaanavalli in tow. He had recently wed Abhimaanavalli, and the said girl was mingling nicely with family because of the friendly nature everyone had, except she was taking a place in heart of Kundhavai more because of her bubbly nature.
"Akka! Valli! What is it I hear? What happened to my Panchama? Is she fine? Is she hurt anywhere?" He bombared his Akka with questions, reminding her of the time he had got so worked up when he found out that Vanathi fainted because of dehydration as she was doing Nirjala Vratham.
"The Vaidhyar is here Thambi, he is checking Panchama. Vaa, let's see." Kundhavai said and the brother-sister duo rushed inside the private area of Panchamadevi's chambers. Where no one except Royal Family members was allowed without permission.
Thiripuvana Madeviyaar and Loka Madeviyaar sat beside a lying Panchama, the former softly running her palm at her sister-wife's head. Panchama laid unconscious, unknown to the upturn of emotions and chaos she caused.
"Swami! Panchama!" Lokamadevi hastily moved behind a little, making a place for Raja Rajan to sit, his hand immediately getting hold of Panchama's jewelled palm.
"Vaidhyar, what is it? What happened to the Queen?" He asked restlessly, Lokamadevi's palm resting on his shoulder to ease his restlesness.
The Vaidhyar smiled. "Arasae! Looks like Sakthi Amman finally heard the plea of Rani. Congratulations Arase, for your Queen Panchamadevi is going to be a Mother. Yes Arasae, the Queen is pregnant."
Abhimaanavalli squealed in delight, hugging Kundhavai excitedly. She had known very well that Panchamadevi was the only Queen of Raja Rajan who was barren, and she prayed to Durgai Amman to fill her life with more and more happiness.
Which Durgai Amman did.
Thiripuvana Madeviyaar cried happy tears, arms wounding her shoulder from back as she turned to see her other sister-wife Cholamadevi smiling tearfully at her. "Swami, my heart teared up when she cried and pleaded Maa Jagadambika for a child in her barren garden. Finally, Amma heard her plea." She said crying happily.
"Urgh..." Panchama groaned, taking all the attention on herself as she tried sitting up. The Vaidhyar bowed and took his leave, leaving the family bask in happiness. "Akka," Panchama turned to Thiripuvana Madeviyaar. "Did I faint again?" She asked hoarsely, and turned her head to see her beloved husband looking at her with tearful but happy eyes. "Swami? Why are there tears in your eyes?" She asked hastily and he caressed her forehead gently.
"Panchama, here, have this water first. We can talk later." He said and made her drink water. "Now tell me, did I faint?" She asked gulping the rest of water.
"Panchama, you did, and it's a good news." Loka Madeviyaar smiled, wiping the tear that fell from her eye. "What is it Akka? What did that Vaidhyar said? What happened to me?" Panchama asked, Raja Rajan immediately holding her palm.
"Panchama, Kanne, you are going to be a mother. Yes, the Vaidhyar confirmed that you are pregnant!" Thiripuvana Madeviyaar told her and Panchama's eyes widened.
"What- but- how..?" Panchama was too flabbergasted. At first, the Vaidhyar broke her heart by saying she was barren, what happened now? Could it be the miracle of all the penance??
As of reading her thoughts Thiripuvana Madeviyaar nodded. "Yes Kanne, your harsh penance finally was fruitful." She said kissed Panchama's forehead.
"Akka! I am going to tell about this to the Kids. They will be so excited!" Abhimaanavalli said with a happy clap.
"Valli, you seem more happy than her." Raja Rajan teased his newly wed wife with an amused glance, her turning bashful at the comment. "Arasare, how can I not? I have been praying to Durgaiyamman for Akka's happiness ever since I set foot in Thanjai as your Rani. Finally, Akka is graced with the beauty of Motherhood." Abhimaanavalli replied, her voice not holding any sort of resentment but pure love and devotion of her Akka and sister-wife.
Which was one of the best traits he liked in her, thus he took her as his wife rather than her sister.
"Vanathi, Sakti, Abhimaana, why don't we all leave and tell others?" Kundhavai, who was silently celebrating Panchama's pregnancy and thanking Uma Maheshwara again anf again suggested and the other three Queens of Raja Rajan immediately nodded, shuffling out eith Vandiyadevan in tow.
"Panchama..." Raja Rajan kissed her forehead. "You made me the happieat person on the earth." He said tearfully kissing her forehead, Panchama's own eyes tearing up at the news. "You don't know how much I suffered while you cried to sleep for not being able to give me a child. How much I prayed Shiva to fulfill all your wishes. See, he did." He said and Panchama burst into tears followed by him.
"Swami, the love of Madhuranthakan, Araiyan, Kundavai and Mathevadhigal overpowered the sadness of me being barren. I am so happy that they will finally have amother playmate. Madhu and Araiyan will finally get one more sword fighter or Kundavai and Mathevadhigal will get a doll to dress up." Panchama sniffed with a happy smile.
Raja Rajan laughed. "What did you think of names?" He asked suddenly.
Panchama was in thoughts. Then out of nowhere, a small smile bloomed at her face. "Adithya Varman— if boy and if girl, we will think." She said and gauged his reaction, which contorted into a pained look and then a smile. He didn't said anything but hugged her.
Months later, Panchamadevi gave birth to a very healthy boy, and he was named after the elder brother of Raja Rajan, Adithya Karikalan.
Note:- Adithya Karikalan's birth name is said to be "Parthivendra Aaditha Varman".

Neutrality and Reunions (Komala Chapter 2)
Kundavai had come running when she heard that the Pazhuvur Ilaya Rani had gone to Vanathi’s chambers, out of the protective instincts she nurtured for the Princess of the Irukkavel clan. But she also knew that Vanathi can hold her own against Nandini, no matter what anyone may think.
Kundavai had walked in for Nandini’s stutter, her heart swelling with pride at her uyir thozhi’s gentleness and her genuinely kind nature.
She saw Vanathi turn to get water, and Nandini stopped her.
“No need, Ilavarasi. I need to go,” Nandini stood up, though looking visibly shaken, an expression Kundavai had not expected to see on her. What had her dearest friend said that had shaken Nandinit to this extent? “Lest Ilaya Piratti finds out that I have been here in your chambers.”
Kundava knew that it was time she announced her presence.
“I am already here, Ilaya Rani.”
She walked into the room as it descended into complete silence, noting once again with pride that Vanathi looked as regal and lovely as she always did. Her darling would never conspire, and she kept proving it over and over.
“Pazhuvur Ilaya Raani.”
“Ilaya Piratti.”
The two Moons, the two powers, stood opposite each other, staring at one another calmly and with a smile on their faces, deadly ones. Vanathi watched this silently, thankful to both Sembian Madevi and Kundavai for their influence in her life, teaching her to act as she would if needed, to foil those who were different and alike.
“Is there a reason I am finding you coming to my thozhi’s room?” Kundavai, as protective as ever of Vanathi, the latter feeling the same happiness she did, every time Kundavai defended her to anyone, considering Vanathi her own.
“When one sees themselves in another, one prefers to try to help them, Ilaya Piratti,” Nandini responded, her poise as elegant as her beauty was.
“Sees themselves in another?” Kundavai seemed to clearly understand, and stared back hard. “Is there a comparison?”
“Only broken hearts can heal each other.”
Kundavai’s strength seemed to have sapped, and she sighed. She had always felt guilty for the havoc she had caused in her elder brother’s life, though she was also very stuck on the future of the Chozha dynasty, and would not apologize for putting it first.
“If two are of the same mind, then it is only fair to accept that both did their best in the situations they were in, and the hurt caused is something that shames them greatly, though they do not show it.”
Nandini nodded, staring back as impassively as Kundavai was as well. Both seemed to have arrived at a consensus, for they turned at once to Vanathi, who looked at both with wide eyes, wondering what she had inadvertently gotten herself into.

Arulmozhi galloped on the horse, not wanting to make things harder at present. Vanthiyathevan joined him at the same speed, both rushing towards Kanchi, where Arulmozhi hoped his elder brother would be present. He needed Aditha to join him in Thanjai, and he knew he could convince his elder brother, where even his elder sister was not able to.
“Ilavarase,” Vanthiyathevan said, though he had no problem keeping up with Arulmozhi even then. His Anna had really chosen the right groom for his Akka, it seemed.
“Tell me, thozha,” Arulmozhi smiled, slowing down his horse to pause and listen to Vanthiyathevan’s words.
“Will the Pattathu Ilavarasar come?” he did sound doubtful, though his eyes held complete faith in Arulmozhi, causing the latter to smile.
“Anna will definitely come, nanba. I have complete faith in my ability to convince him to return to Thanjai,” smiled Arulmozhi. “Anna will listen to me.”
“I have no doubts about your ability, Ponniyin Selvare. It is just that I have often heard Karikalar proclaiming that he will not return to Thanjai at present…” Vanthiyathevan faltered, not knowing if he should bring up the topic.
“Due to the Pazhuvur Ilaya Rani?” Arulmozhi said. “Do no worry, Vanthiyare. I have ways of convincing my Anna. Onward to Kanchi!”
With a smile, he and Vanthiyathevan continued racing, though Arulmozhi kept seeing the face of Vanathi that the Oomai Rani had drawn, and kept turning over possibilities of how she can change the future of the Chozhas.

“Patta,” Arulmozhi embraced his grandfather tightly, whose eyes held tears of joy and reunion, like he had finally seen the Sun he had longed to.
“Kanne, nee inge eppadi? Vallavarayan unnai azhaithuvandhuvittane? (My dear, how are you here? Did Vallavarayan bring you here once and for all?)” asked Malayaman, still admiring his dear grandson with delight.
“Patta, something has come up. I wanted to meet Anna and request him to come to Thanjai with me,” Arulmozhi said respectfully, though he still stayed in his grandfather’s embrace.
“Enna nadandhadhu Kanne?(What happened, child?)”
“Patta!” Aditha’s voice interrupted Arulmozhi’s reply, the latter light up even brighter at the sound of his elder brother’s voice.
“What is this I hear about my thambi in Kanchi?”
“That is because I am here, Anna!” called out Arulmozhi, running in the direction of Aditha’s voice, whose footsteps were also heard.
“Mozhi? My little Sun? Is that you?”
“Anna!”
Arulmozhi and Aditha embraced, both incredibly emotional due to the reunion, happy and content for a short while.

27. Do you have playlists for your wip? What are some of the songs in it?
Well, not playlists, per se, but there are some songs that play in my mind when I write most Mahabharata fiction I do. These are: The Parthasya Dhananjaya StarBharat OST theme, the Arjun/Panchali and Arjun/Subhadra theme from the same OST, the Drona theme and the shloka ‘Guru Brahma, Guru Vishnu...’ from the same OST again.
Apart from them, Satham Illatha Thanimai, especially the line ‘Parthiban thodutha villuai kaetaen’ (Translation: I asked for Parthiban’s (Arjun’s) bow) I love that line, I repeat that line over and over.
Oh, and Arjunar Villu (The Bow of Arjun) is a song that’s always a pick me up! Karam Ki Talwar and Samay from Arjun the Warrior Prince are also two songs that feature often in my head.
28. Do you need background noise to write? If so, what do you listen to?
Apart from music, I don’t favour background noise. But some or the other music keeps playing in my laptop or my phone nearly all day, I need music to study, to write, for anything. A lot of that music that repeats, I’ve already mentioned. Apart from them, songs like Abhi Mujh Mein Kahin from Agneepath and Unkoodave Porakkanum feature a lot, songs that are about platonic relationships. Innum Enna Thozha is a song that I listen for motivation sometimes.

But it's hard for me to recommend you any film cuz in India, there're many languages and film industries...
And sadly I only watch movies of a few.
So I'll just recommend that you might like, from the languages that I watch
So here we go..
Thozha (tamil) or oopiri (telugu) yeah it's made in different languages. Is a feel good film for me that I'd watch any time... And it might even teach you lessons it's just beautiful
96 (tamil) this is also made in a few more other languages but this is the first one is a story in which this person meets his love from schooldays and gets nostalgic yeah smth like that but it's beautiful
Imaikka nodigal (tamil)-thriller
Dhuruvangal padhinaru (tamil) - thriller (this whole story revolves around only 16 characters and its worth watching.)
Premam (malayalam) - it's a love story which is just beautiful!
Theri (tamil) - because I just love it
Thuppaki (tamil) - idk if you can understand this but it is very interesting!
And last but not the least Nanban (tamil) or 3 idiots (hindi) - I love this film too!.
I'm sorry if I gave you a lot but this is so little from my favorites .. And a lot these are musicals so please deal with that and if you aren't comfortable with one one language, almost all of these movies are available in another language
