How could Crowley not fall in love with Aziraphale in that very first moment?

He has disobeyed God, and that rebellion is fascinating. Both have defied established rules; Aziraphale is questioning divine authority.

There is comparibility in moral doubt. Both show doubts and questions about the morality of the actions they witnessed in Eden, and they will continue to question (killing children, exhuming corpses, the shades of gray), but in that first moment, Aziraphale's ability to start questioning and considering alternatives is piquing Crowley's curiosity. Isn't he the origin of free will, after all?

How curious if I were doing evil and you were doing good. The discussion about good and evil, as well as the possibility of roles reversing, is a source of interest towards Aziraphale. Moral ambiguity is always fertile ground.

Oh, compassion. Giving the sword to Adam and Eve is a gesture that can only impress and move you, even if you're a demon. Besides, it's something that somehow humanizes Aziraphale. And if you add bravery and cleverness to it... it's not a small feat to deceive the Almighty.

The desire for the unattainable. The angel represents something forbidden and out of reach, which could intensify the demon's desire for him, as what cannot be had becomes more desirable.

The secret history. An angel and a demon share a secret about the lie concerning a sword. And to this secret, other secrets will be added throughout their story.

The rain and the storm. You know, VABOOM!
