VAMPIREKIN TIPS

Hey fellow vamps! Here is a list of tips that give me euphoria but absolutely feel free to modify these to your liking. Vampires can have any style and vibe so remember to do what feels right for you!

Eat foods with blood in them or rare beef! Blood sausage and blood pudding, to name a few! Here’s a wiki for more options: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blood_as_food

Drink red drinks: energy drinks, hibiscus tea, pomegranate juice, cranberry juice, etc

Enjoy the feeling of biting into ripe fruit - so easy, very satisfying… I feel like it’s alike to fangs on skin

Wear black cloaks / clothes / gothic wear / gothic lolita fashion / etc etc

Keep a journal all about your vampirekin. Decorate it and such! I use this as a bullet journal and it’s mainly in use at night.

Music! Make some vampiric playlists for yourself. I recommend classical and organ music

Look after your skin! “Vampire skin”

Get and light some red candles, black candles or, even better, bleeding candles. Bleeding candles can be found on Etsy or Amazon!

Exploring decades of history and researching about historical accounts of vampires

Play A Thousand Year Old Vampire! An amazing tabletop journaling solo DnD game where you play as a vampire and write a journal for them. I can’t explain to you how euphoric this is… just amazing.

Vampire DnD in general is euphoric to me (putting this here incase folks can’t afford the precious game!) Look on https://itch.io for free solo DnD and other indie games!

Read vampire stories, watch vampire movies!

Wear fake fangs and get some fake blood for comfort <3

Create a Pinterest board based on your vampirekin

Decorate your room with gothic items! Interior design goes a long way - for example, I keep a few Halloween decorations up that are bat and vampire related!

If you’re spiritual, get vampire / gothic tarot decks!

Painting with acrylics- paint done pomegranates, I don’t know why, very euphoric.

Buy a coffin made to be a bed! Of course, if that isn’t available to you then make your bed coffin-esc. You can do this with getting gothic bed sheets, arranging some cute bat plushies, having a veil over your bed etc… which reminds me-

Buy bat plushies!

Go out safely at night and gaze at the moon when she’s out. Appreciate the silence and beauty of the night.

If you are able to do so, pull an all nighter. Please don’t do this if you have responsibilities the next day, are chronically disabled (aka you can’t stay up all night for your own health), etc.

Get your nails done! Coffin shaped or nice and pointy! Look on Pinterest for some design inspo

Try out some vampiric makeup, get creative!

Research the different kinds of vampires!

Research the differences and overlap between IRL Vampire/Modern Vampire and Vampirekin

Take gothic photos with vampiric vibes. Filters, editing, soft light and outfits can help

Find community! Vampirekin spaces online and tags can really help feel like you are a part of a collective community and less alone

RED LEDS! Very useful for me and very comforting - I have bat shaped LEDs

Go on Victorian house tours or explore Victorian-like houses! Gothic houses are very pretty from the outside but the inside is even more astonishing! If you can’t go in person, watch a YouTube video!

If you’re a vamp who isn’t keen on sunlight, stay in the shade, get sunglasses, get a gothic sun umbrella and wear sunscreen!

Create picrews of your vampirekin self

Enjoy cathedrals, cemeteries and graveyards at dusk/night. Just enjoy the liminal energy and calming space.

Go to abandoned churches!

Get athames/ritual knifes. I’m a practitioner so I use it in my ritual work but honestly you can get it for the vibes!

Write love letters to yourself, vampires are confident - self love 2023 <3

Get lovely silver candle holders

Gift yourself a dried flower bouquet <3 Dried roses look and smell amazing!

Get red bath bombs! Bathe in a soothing red bath 🫶🏾

Get chew stim toys if you have biting stims or urges

If you have a garden, get night blooming flowers! A lovely lil nocturnal garden

If you have bats around then watch them at night! We only have a few where I live but it’s a delight to see them fly about.

Study tips: do so by candle light, annotate everything, red/pink highlighter, important notes in red pen

~ Why he calls her “Rose?” and not “Eve?”

Azusa calls Christine “Rose” mainly because of her scent of roses. But he has also said that the Red Rose in general reminds him of her.

Quotes is from a short Fanfic I wrote.

Azusa: “… I was… walking in the garden… and I picked up this… red rose for you...”

Caressing her cheek, he looks at her with so much love in his eyes.

Azusa: “You are… just… like this rose… You’re pretty… like this rose… you smell nice… like this rose … your skin is soft… like the…rose petals… and your blood… is the same color… like this rose…”

Christine: “Rose? Why are you calling me “Rose?” When my name is Christine.”

He moves closer to her, runs his fingers through her hair, and strokes it. While caressing her arm with his other hand.

Azusa: “Your scent… is so good… and your skin… is so soft… like rose petals… you remind me of a beautiful red rose… The name suits you…”

“So nice... my own... little rose...”

Azusa likes to give roses to Christine as gifts, he also loves to place roses and other flowers on her hair. To him, she looks adorable. Later on in their story he also bought her a Red Rose hair clip. (The Red Rose in her hair that you see her wear in most of her arts, that's the clip he bought her) ☺️ Azusa also knows how to make Flower Crowns but he will only do those on special occasions.

Azusa and Christine both like going to the Garden a lot. They love taking walks together, holding hands, and enjoying the beautiful view of the different colors of the roses.

Roses are a huge symbol of their relationship.

The reason he doesn't call her “Eve” is because Yui Komori is in my story. She is the only true Eve. I did not want to replace Yui with Christine for the Eve Tittle. So I came up with another plan instead. Yui in this story her Diaboy choice is Ayato. (They are my favorite Ship) 🤭

Yui and Christine become good friends and you will see lots of interactions between them in the story.

So there is no reason for Azusa to call Christine “Eve” when she's not Eve.

Karlheinz has a different plan for Christine. He personally chose her. But I won't reveal that plan yet because it's a huge spoiler and a big character change. I'll probably reveal that plan in Maniac.

More information about their canon story and Ryoutei Academy. This will all be in another separate post.

~ Past Relationship ~ ⚠️

Before Azusa, Christine had a 4-year relationship with a guy from her hometown. His name is Mark. He was her first love.

Their first two years together was fantastic, and she was madly in love with him. But in their third year together everything changed. Mark started to be cold, he became verbally abusive to her. It was so bad to the point she started to believe his words. Making her feel worthless. They had lots of heated bad arguments. One time out of anger he almost raped her. He didn't succeed because someone knocked on his apartment door.

They continued this terrible relationship.

Christine even though she was unhappy she still loved him and tried to make it work. But nothing was good enough for Mark and he still continued to treat her like garbage.

One day he told her that he had been seeing someone new for a while now and that he wanted to start a serious relationship with that woman. He ends the relationship with Christine.

The fact that he was cheating behind her back, that he ended it first and moved on with someone else like she was nothing.

That broke her.

Hello- hi- I'm sorry for so little updates but hey, new stuff for things you check my page for-

I have been working on the rottmnt thing don't worry for whoever wanted to see that, but this post is mainly for something else

And that something else is Psychonauts, that's right, I collaborated with @doodle17 to make a Psychonauts au called Welcome new campers! (Also tw for mentions of abuse and murder)

This au is a future au that mixes bits of doodle's own future au and new characters, but unlike that au it mainly focuses on the kids over at Whispering rock and the new interns which I can tell you a bit about now and give some picrew visuals (or at least the closest I can to how they look and I'll try to find the links to the ones I used and add them later, but I wanna get this out first)

First: Sora Elliott Zanotto

Sora is one of the older campers coming in at the age of 14, he used to live with his father who normally abused him and his mother before she was murdered by him and he got away with it over lack of evidence and he bribed the jury. During the time he still lived with his father he used camp as a way to escape his home for a few months where he learned how to use pyrokinesis before ending up getting adopted by Lili. He dresses like a gay little emo (cuz that's what he is) and he hates most people cuz trust issues, but will warm up to you if you start talking about music or bands he likes. He has a bit of medical knowledge cuz he would try to help his mother whenever he could when she was alive, including stitches and bandaging up wounds, he can even do a minor surgery if he's asked to.

Second we have the twins: Callie and Milo Tucker

Callie and Milo are some of the younger campers at the age of 9. They're little balls of chaos who love to mess with people and cause mischief. Callie love to levitate out of people's reach and throw water balloons at them while Milo (who can see the dead) just loves to throw people away with telekinesis so he can talk with his ghost friends alone, he really only let's Lili, Milla or D'art get close. These two have older sister that will be talked about later and two parents who have a hard time dealing with them most days. Their clothes match most of the time and they love it, makes them feel special to one another. But yeah, they're chaotic, they're cute, and I love them.

Third: Marshall Watts

He's one of the only non psychics on this roster, being one of two. He's an intern who's just there to help with paperwork. Not too much is known about him other than that he's a psychic fan boy. He's also Sora's partner that Raz doesn't really like for whatever reason.

Next is is the start of doodle's little friends and I love them: Margo Teef

(Note: I copy and pasted all of this from a convo doodle and I had) He was raised by his non-psychic grandparents after his mom left when he was a baby and his father was nowhere to be found. Other than that, he's had an okay life, other than the fact he couldn't afford a way to get to and participate at camp which made him really sad. It ended up in him actually sneaking into the camp and running into his hero Raz! (But he had no idea it was raz at first) his personality is pretty simple. He's kind of shy, but always up for an adventure, as well as being super nerdy lol. If you bring up something about comics or the Psychonauts he'll start rambling for hours put of nowhere.

And next: Natalie Fealt

She's a punk girl who isn't afraid to tell you how things are. She lived with her dads and still kinda misses them now that she lives in the dorms at the motherlobe. She interns under Adam but is a little upset that she didn't get Lizzie or Lili as her mentor, but Adam is nice enough.

Now we have one of my favorite little goobers: Shirley Adams

She's very strange and very loveable in my eyes. She normally has a weird fact or two up her sleeves and is never in one place for too long. She mentors under Gisu, and as per Doodle's words (or at least close) will take any chance she can to escape. She'll come back like an hour or two later with bugs in her hair or on the back of a goat or something.

Finishing up: Luca Nein

As his name suggests he's the child of Milla Vodello and Sasha Nein themselves. He's not really an intern, but hangs around them enough to be like one. He's kinda a germaphobe and if you cough near him he'll freak out. He tries his best in what he wants to do and we love him for that.

Alright! This is the basics for the interns+ Luca! I'll have to make a part two for the camp councilors and other adults that are featured in this au but I hope you guys have fun with this! This au is still a work in progress, we still need a solid story to figure out as well as a few other things, and you guys are free to give any suggestions you want!

Okay I info dumped about Milo.... Time to do Liam!

Liam is 20 years old, He has messy shoulder length straight hair that's usually in a ponytail, they have warm brown skin, teal eyes, and his body is pretty average but they're a bit taller then average.

I used a different picrew since the one I used for Milo just wasn't working for him. Also again, it's picrew so it isn't perfect. (The biggest things I'd say are he looks less soft/round)

Liam is a cis gay man, he uses He/they pronouns and masculine terms (like brother, prince, ect).

They are the second Prince of his kingdom. He was kept secret from the public until very recently, because they was born from a affair the Queen had while the King was still alive.

He has no interest in being king, and him and their half brother (the first Prince/heir to the throne) get along well.

Liam loves Milo (romantically and platonically) and asked his Mother to hire Milo as their servant, which did end up happening.

Liam is a bit controlling and obsessive when it comes to his friends (mainly Marilyn and Milo), like he'll use his title of Prince to make them do things.

Nothing too bad, a example is that Milo has to wear light or bright colors because Liam thinks it makes Milo look cute, or that Marilyn isn't allowed to cut her hair shorter then just below her shoulders.

Lore tidbit: He was born in the haven, and always looked up to the collectors like heroes (like many ‘cursed’) but after he became one then went on his first collection he was horrified and wanted to leave with Asier. When he first met Asier however, he just taught him was he was taught! That collectors save people from the cruel outside world! (Outside world??? The fuck?? -Asier having his aha moment) (Btw, collectors, after going to the outside world and collecting aren’t stupid and they realize they’re hurting and kidnapping these people based off their reactions, but yk. They’re indoctrinated. And mainly they would be ‘disposed of’ if they spoke up or tried to leave. They are all jaded and ashamed and fucked up and traumatized). Also he’s afraid of birds.

Lore tidbit: Her father was killed and her little sister Clover was taken by a collector (Callum’s dad Raptor) and she became pretty dedicated (obsessed) with getting her little sister back and fucking up the tower system! She will not be nice to you. She trained the townsfolk to protect themselves against the collectors for a living, because she can and will fuck you up. When she encounters a collector (Wynn) who has never collected before, and therefore believes that they would love to come with you, she realized it’s her chance and is like ‘yeah take me with you’ and enters the tower system with him. (He does not, for a long time, realize that anything was wrong with collecting because of this reaction. Wynn thinks they are friends. They are not.) Magic used on her is converted into energy for herself, making her immune to many direct bodily effects (she cannot have her memory wiped, for example, but like if somebody can create fire it’s still gonna burn the fuck out of her because now it’s fire not magic). She really likes croissants.

Ok so Ive been putting this one off a little bit for a multitude of reasons, most of which are some variant of "god Im so cringe", but I absolutely will ramble about them now that Ive been asked. This will be going under a read more because I go through 5 breakdowns and again am very cringe. I will also be showing each OC through a Picrew because trust me when I say my art is absolutely god awful, but all of them will be sourced.

Ok, so she's basically the main protagonist of my little sector of hell. Her main watch model is the same as Katie's, but she does get upgrades overtime. Overall, she presents herself as a pretty stereotypical nice girl to those she talks to, and also shows a genuine interest in wanting to use her watch and skills to help those around her. Outside of yokai activities, she really enjoys all that she deems to be "cute", like Next HarMEOWny and clothing. She tends to be the most sympathetic of the party, opting to want to help yokai through words and actions as opposed to fighting them.

While a lot of her interests are genuine, some of her mannerisms are put on for those around her. She was very isolated for a lot of her childhood between consistently working parents and just not really being included in social circles, so a lot of her stereotypical cutesy vibes are just as much the only way she knows how to gain attention as much as they are for her own enjoyment. Because of this, she has a really bad tendency to become dependant on her relationships to the yokai around her, thinking that it's her only worth as a person and resultinf in an almost hero complex. So much so she often has a Pepillion on hand for when smiles are much harder to force.

(I KIND of want to add some neurodivergencies onto her, but I want to make sure I understand what Im talkkng about as well as I pretend I do before I actually go through with it)

Despite that, her primary go-to yokai is a Frostina she bonds with early on. She also usually has a Ratelle on hand for fashion-based things.

Her relationships with people are overall really chill, as she's generally nice to people. She is more open with the other watch users and her own friend group, allowing herself to be a bit more silly and goofy around them. The main stand out as of right now is I like to think Kyubi tried to flirt with her at one point as part of his "quest for hearts", and ended up learning what a lesbian is that day.

Hana

Hana's somewhat inspired off of the whole "robot from the future" line of yokai, and is actually a robot herself who was designed to help humans and yokai get along better. While designed to look like a human child, her whole body basically serves as a yokai watch, with her eyes basically acting as lenses that can pinpoint yokai. Because of this, she most often takes on the "navigator" role in more combat based scenarios, basically acting as the player in game. She was pretty much sent to current time as soon as it was confirmed shw was functional, so she has no real memories or way to travel to the time she came from.

Hana's the most carefree and childlike member of the cast, knowing a lot of things logistically but still experiencing them for the first time. Sometimes her curiosity and wonder can actually lead to trouble, but can usually be pulled out of it by others if not herself. She's actually probably the most emotionally well rounded of all of them tbh, mostly just having the occasional "Im not human" crisis and some trauma I'll get to later.

In terms of her yokai team, she mainly gets access to Don-chan who shares in her sometimes endless seeming energy, as well as Komajiro (not for any major reason, I just say so). She also has a Bruff in her team, mainly to act as a somewhat older brother figure who can ward off trouble if needed.

Okay,

This girl is definitely the most subject to change, mostly because I made her core concepts back when I only played up to Yokai Watch 2 and was unaware I'd be submitting myself to Nightmare Lore! She's honestly recieved a ton of edits up to this point as well, my main strategy being "fuck it we ball" every time new lore presents itself to me. The current hurdle I have to pass for peak Blorbo Writing is Forever Friends, which I will watch after the Ensemble Stars interest dies down a little bit and I can actually continue Shadowside.

All that being said, as of writing this post, Mariah is a half human half yokai experiment facilitated by Ancient Enma to further push the "yokai human get along" thing until his ideals eventually shifted. Thus, she is treated as a member of the Enma family even if not related by blood. She is incredibly powerful with a high aptitude for yokai skills, althlough nowhere neae as strong as the man of all time himself. In terms of scaling, she probably is in between Zazel and Enma, though there is a sizable gap between all three of them. Because she was meant to be human, though, overexertion is a serious issie. She can only exert so much power without collapsing without other external circumstances. But with power like that doesn't just come responsibility, but pressure.

In the main group, she's the more collected one of the three, reeling in Catherine and Hana when they get more out of hand. Although, this is not to say that she doesnt get into antics of her own. Given her half yokai status, she doesn't really have much need for a watch, though she isn't above summoming Venoct for a fight. Shw does havw a slightly more human disguise, though it mainly changes her hair and eyes to be black.

Mariah and Enma get along really well, and share a sibling sort of bond. They tend to conversw over food, and she occasionally joins in for the "Enma's Holiday" manga shenanigans. She does end up in major conflicts of interest with Zazel on occasion, thus causing them to butt heads now and then, but they also genuinely care for eachother's well being.

Also I might rename her to be just Mari idk lol

... okay so is now a good time to mention Catherine fucking dies-

I don't really have the specifics planned out, but I do want her to eventually fall to some greater threat. She is remembered lovingly, albeit not much of the front-less her survived. Enough for her to be out of the way by the time the watch is banished. I am admittedly breaking ome of the rules of Shadowside, that being she is very much remembered by everyone.

Anyways, enter Peg, a shut in living in 2040 who ends up coming across the Arcane. Like Catherine, Peg lived most of her life in isolation from overworking parents and hitting bad luxk in social circles, only she copes through using her alone-ness as a shield, going out of her way to avoid letting people in. For most of her life, this has been fine, as she's able to excell in all sorts of random things completely on her own. Yokai, however, are one of the few things you can't go through alone. She actually has the most trouble out of the cast trying to get things done with them, as her abrasive nature ends up pissing off the yokai she tries to talk to if anything. And while Hana and Mariah are clearly traumatized by what happened and trying to work through it, everything Peg learns about Catherine builds a really bad imposter syndrome, and another person's shadow so big it feels impossible to crawl out.

She does get along with Hana the best, who still retains a lot of her wonder in the world, which opens up Peg's eyes somewhat in turn. Where she and Mariah sometimes feel more like work partners, Hana could be much more considered a friend. Im not really familiar enough with the Shadowside yokao to give her a proper team (as I only have the anime to go off of), but if we are ripping canon rules apart further, I think she'd largely have a Wydeawake amd a B3-NK1. I also want to give Hana something kinda similar to the Yokai Watch Ogre but idk Im indecisive lol

I've also been considering the possibility of Cath wandering around as a yokai, but the ideas I've had are more "trauma demon" than anything.

Okay so a lot of her core development has also been largely put on hold in a hellscape of "Crystal needs to watch Forever Friends but hrrng no motivation", but she is alive during tne time period that would take place, which according to the wiki is also when Nathaniel woild havw been a kid. She comes from a largely traditional family who doesn't give her much agency, and often sneaks out at night to do the things she'd really like. She's generally kind and open to the world, but doesn't have a single clue who she is as a person or what she wants to do in life.

I'd LIKE for her to be friends with a significantly younger Mariah (who has weird aging bc yokai growth stuff), but I don't know how possible that is because Enma Bullshit. Her party largely consists of classic yokai, a standout being a Smogling she befriends early on. She has the marble component of the yokai watch zero built into a necklace.
