Find it very interesting that some of the same people who claim they're "proship aligned" and acknowledge that sex-negativity is bad are also the same ones who think that Hazbin Hotel is problematic for "romanticizing/fetishizing drugs and trafficking"
not liking it is one thing but "this thing is problematic and bad and the author is a horrible person because the story romanticizes this thing I don't like" always has been, and always will be, anti rhetoric.

really do love one piece's stance on gods, where it's both "there is no such thing as gods, no such thing as an absolute authority which has the right to decide the freedom of others, and those who tout themselves as such are still people you can fight against, and as long as the future is fought for it can be won" and "gods ARE real but exist not as a tangible force or being but as the love and hope of the world brought about by human connections and the struggle to pursue your dreams and freedom in a vast ocean and under a beautiful sky is the inherited will of these gods who yearned for the freedom of the world"

stacy is sooo interesting because she's in love with house but knows that they will never ever be able to have a healthy, stable, sane relationship because they're too similar so. she finds house-lite instead and marries him and. essentially moves on with her life! and is successful in this because she's a moderately well-adjusted person!
wilson, in contrast, never manages to escape the inevitable, in spite of his best efforts to find a house-lite of his very own, because he's an absolute fucking freak and ends up glued to house to the bitter. bitter end
#yeah im too sleepy to revise this. UNFILTERED posting wooahh#some may b shocked but i do actually read thru most of my posts several times to make sure i didnt accidentally write mein kampfe 2#recently ive come to the realization that i am in fact not an incredibly chill person#and that the constant paranoia and fear in which i live my life is actually PROBABLY a symptom of severe anxiety#like damn. ive always known that im pretty prone to depression but ive preetty much always been aware of that#my mom is a chronic depressive so i know the symptoms i know the signs i have a pretty good arsenal of healthy coping mechanisms#UNFORTUNATELY mommy's mental health problems did not help her not abuse me as a child#so i ended up being a terribly anxious kid who was constantly being screamed at and told i was overreacting (because i was. because i had#a severe anxiety problem that was making me react irrationally.) to everything all the time#which is you know. it is VERY difficult to deal with a mental health problem when you arent aware you have a problem!#its incredible how much. better. my life has gotten since i figured this out and started actively trying to work out what triggers it#and being able to like. realize 'oookay. there is an Issue here and it needs to be overcome'#instead of just beating on myself constantly for not being able to do things without feeling sick or getting breathing problems!#anyways. trauma dumping in tags is over now!#house md#hilson#greg house#james wilson#stacy warner

an excerpt of chapter 3 of "the courage of stars" :3c
“I’m glad you’re back,” she says earnestly, and Kon believes her. “I missed you.”
That comes as a bit of a surprise. Kon cocks his head to the side. “You did?” He blinks. “I mean—that sounded mean. I meant, like—you know, we barely got the chance to hang out, before… you know. I died.”
Kara lets out a slow breath. “Kon, I barely have anyone left. And you’re family.” She looks a little hurt, a little uncertain. “I mean… I thought you—if you don’t feel that way about me, that’s—”
“No no no, I do, I do!” Kon hastily reassures her. “I just—I guess I didn’t realize, um…” He rubs the back of his neck awkwardly. It’s a habit he picked up from Pa. That thought hurts, so he quickly pushes it away. “Aw, man, there’s like, no good way to phrase this. Uh…”
Kara laughs, at least. Score. “It’s okay. Just say it.”
Kon rakes his hand through his hair. “Okay, fine. It’s been—kind of a lot? Coming back and, y’know. Seeing that me dying, like… impacted people.”
Kara reels back with a look of shock. “What?! Of course it impacted people! You died, Kon! Everyone who cares about you—you’ve lost people before, haven’t you? You know it hurts!”
Kon winces. “See, this is what I meant about not knowing how to put it.” He chews at his lower lip for a moment, staring out at the horizon. Kara’s hand tightens over his. “I do know it hurts. I do. I just—I got this weird disconnect in my head, about it being different when it’s me.”
Because he was made to die. He was made to die saving the world, and he did. That was his purpose… or at least, he really thought it was. But after how badly his success—his death— tore apart so many people he loves, he can’t quite reconcile the thought.
There’s a tiny voice in his head that says maybe Kal was right. Maybe it really is that simple—he’s here just to live. But it’s hard to let go of a truth he’s known his whole life, especially for a new one that sounds way too good to be true.
Kara softens next to him. The wind blows her hair into her eyes, and she tosses her head, scrunching up her face.
“I guess that makes sense,” she says, squeezing his hand. “…You wanna know something, though?”
“What?”
She lets go of his hand to dig through one of the pockets on her skirt and pulls out a glasses case. She opens it, turns it around to show him, and ducks her head a little shyly. “I’ve been wearing these, in my civilian identity.”
Kon blinks down at the glasses. They’re a familiar oval shape, with simple silver wire frames. His breath catches in his throat. “Are those…”
“Yours,” Kara confirms, her voice so soft the wind almost drowns it out.

There are two things involving Shockwave and Elita-1 I’d really love to see in a transformers series (they are not compatible):
1. Them being absolutely enemies. Elita and Shockwave hate each other. They got like 4 billion years of extra war between them and they cannot stand even the sight of one another. Optimus and Megatron wish they hated each other as much as Shockwave and Elita do. They should get to be silly, terrible rivals at least once, please <3
2. Shockwave and Elita-1 ending the war on Cybertron and for a more crack version of this getting together too. Genuinely I’d be so into a series where like Optimus and Megatron establish communication back with Cybertron and the war is just over. Even funnier the war is over and their respective romantic partners are now married

Atla live action 😐
#thats my honest reaction 😐#to be fair ive only seen 20 minutes of the s1 finale bc my parents are watching it but. mmmmm kinda mid#like. the casting is definitely an improvement since the last time they tried a live action but it feels like the writing falls flat#or maybe im being harsh bc ive only heard negative criticism on it beforehand. but fr anytime u bring up the original its already#good and not just because its the original. so much fucking detail went into it to the point of someone noticing azula wielding mai's knive#to how well thought out irohs character is used as a way of uniting the cast especially as zukos foil#i heard that sokkas sexism was toned down and i have to agree that feels like a cheap move. like i get WHY they think it would be better#but its not about how that reflects on real world its about how it affects the story. sokka starts out as a misogynistic asshole because#it makes it that much more impactful when he changes. toning that down makes it flatter and makes his character development weak#and someone pointed out they didnt even make him wear the kyoshi warrior uniform and i know it feels like such a small detail but#come on man. they did that in the original because not only does it help him really walk in their shoes - wearing 'feminine' clothing and#makeup and having suki explain its significance but it also ties in with the shows theme of harmony and intersectionality#i was also disappointed when they had the fire sages explain how the water tribe draws power from the moon because in the original it was#IROH who explained it to aang and everyone else BECAUSE we as the audience is under the impression hes with the 'bad guys'#and it builds up to how he learned from the other nations which reconciles his past as a war general and his character overall#AND its an excellent starting point for the cast and audience to understand how the nations arent as closed off as you would think#plus you would think its only fire nation doing propaganda but they expanded on that with earth kingdom censorship and it WORKS#a lot of things in the live action also feel arbitrary like. they gave momo a near death experience for 5 minutes for no reason#im firmly on the stance of bringing back filler moments instead of putting major events right after each other so that u give your#audience a sense of time passing and to really absorb the story. but i think thats more like shock value than filler and yeah its a small#thing to gripe about but those things build up and its really annoying. the thing abt avatar filler moments is that however small#its at least meaningful. hell even the beach episode emphasizes how isolated zuko and his friends are as child soldiers#i also swore to never watch the first live action since it was that bad but i really liked the stylized tattoos they used for aang#anyway. those arejust my thoughts. im not gonna watch the rest because im a ride or die for the original aftr growing up and#rewatching it at least 20 times as a kid. but theres definitely room for improvement and i wish ppl wouldnt take it as 'better' just cuz#netflix is adapting it. i wouldve killed for them to just reanimate the entire avatar series and touch NOTHING ELSE no redub#no changes to the story. just reanimate the thing and leave the rest alone and youd make easy money just the same#ALSO its very jarring not hearing jack desena and dante basco voicing sokka and zuko cause their voices were the most recognizable to me#i get that its because its live action but im allowed to feel a little sad abt that. and uncle irohs accent was really soothing#yapping

only going "rape and torture are bad" when people defend Palestinians is pretty fucking scummy, speaking as someone who knows more than the average person on this site does about torture, and hates it real bad and knows a lot of people repeat torture apologia because it's deeply pervasive in modern culture

All of y'all pretending like heterosexual women are the only ones who experience misogyny, or experience the most misogyny, are not (just) being homophobic, you're being misogynistic.
You're denying women's sex based oppression is real or it's severity. So maybe sit down and shut up and realize that we are still women despite the fact that we are not sleeping with men. You have the ability to make the choice not to sleep with men too. It's not an inaction unique to homosexuals.
I will spread any feminist praxis I want, and if it's insulting for me to reiterate the ideals we preach in these spaces because I'm a homosexual then you can go ahead and be insulted. SSA women have just as much claim to these spaces as you do because we are women and these spaces are for fighting misogyny, which we all experience. It's not just for tackling the misogyny y'all are uncomfortable with, it's for tackling all of it. Get with the program, ladies.

(This is light-hearted whinging but) WHERE are my minor character enjoyers in the Baldur’s Gate fandom?!?! Where are my fellow obsessed-with-Astarion’s-siblings?? Where are the Gandrel fans? The analyzers of Vellioth’s character? And so forth! I can’t be the only one here who sees a character with one line of dialogue and goes “it’s free real estate”! Reveal yourselves!

I go by she/her because that's what I'm used to, but gender isn't really something that important or meaningful to me personally. I use they/them when referring to myself, but I have no problem with others using any other pronouns (though I'm not used to neopronouns, so perhaps not those).
this could probably be referred to as agender.
which means...
I am a 𝗤𝗨𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗨𝗣𝗟𝗘 𝗔 𝗕𝗔𝗧𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗬
