Authors note: Hey guys this if my first fic I’ve ever made so its gonna be a little bad. Also there are NO s4 spoilers! there’s gonna be lots of typos in this so I’m very sorry. Enjoy!

You and Steve have been friends since you were 3 and have been attached to the hip ever since. You were there for him when he was crying on your shoulder telling you about him and Nancy’s breakup, cleaning his wounds every time he got into a fight, and helping him and Dustin crack the Russian code.

You never thought Steve would remotely have any feelings for you after Nancy. So when you two were up in your bedroom studying for a test you guys have tomorrow you were surprised to hear any of these words come out of his mouth.

“y/n, can we talk?” Steve says nervously, keeping his eyes on the flashcards you and him were using to study for the test.

You look up and stare at him confused. Is everything okay? you thought. “yeah, what is it”

Steve pauses for a long time and keeps staring at the flashcards. Which makes you more confused and worried. “Steve, are you okay? You seem a bit out of it”

“y/n I don’t know how to say this” Steve says, finally looking up at you.

“Omg please don’t tell me you're proposing” You joked. But he doesn’t laugh. Which makes you worry even more.

“y/n, I’m in love with you. I’ve been in love with you since I saw you on the playground by yourself. I started dating Nancy because I thought that maybe being with her would get you out of my mind, but it didn’t. Its okay if you don't love me back. I’ll just lea-”

You cut him off with a kiss

“Steve ‘the hair’ Harrington. You have no idea how long I wanted to hear that from you”

Steve smiles and continues to kiss you.

“St-st-steve, wh-what about studying” you say in between kisses. Steve removes his lips for yours and starts kissing down your neck

“Fuck studying I just wanna keep kissing you.”
