what's your process for making comics ? how do you plan them out ? the panels ? the dialogue ? do you plan it all out in advance or is it more spontaneous

sometimes if the comic requires a lot of dialogue, i make the transcript first. (and it helps because once i get to the step of actually putting in the dialogue to the comic, i make improvements along the way)

usually the process of paneling it is... very mixed. im not an expert in comic making and there are honestly better rain world artists out there who do much better in that field (trying to not compare myself to them is a mental struggle i really fucking hate but it does help me strive to work better and study how they do it(pansear i swear to god stop looking at the NUMBERS)). ive actually been one to make comics and story telling for quite a while but not much a full length big comic series.

when i make anthro au comics, i usually have the "ok this is what i want to go" in my head. since a majority of them are sketched, i dont really worry about how itll layout. i just need to get the idea out of my head. sometimes i think really hard on a scene and think to myself "ok this part is really dramatic and important so i must make it bigger than the rest". sometimes it is for comedic effect like in helm where there is an entire page dedicated to the lizard exploding over a jpeg, sometimes its for scenic feels (like echoes showing themselves upon the characters and making foreboding(though also strange) dialogue), and other times its when the character is saying something or doing something incredibly crucial like whatever saint was doing to arti in heretic.

sometimes id do it without dividers (which is actually easier for me personally). sometimes id do it experimentally like with the ghost arti and zombie hunter comic.

i suppose what i prioritize more is to tell a story rather than to tell the story in flair, so its best to not entirely heed to my advice if you want stylized-looking comics. it probably doesnt help that i might have some sort of attention deficiency because its difficult for me to get back on a project thats stored away for another.

some of the really great rw comic artists i can think on the top of my head are:

@lynxmisnomer who has a really great ongoing series called The Curse of Metropolis and has made a really cool comic of Monk and Survivor

@ninten-draw who makes really colorful stylized comics about certain rain world characters including the ones you wouldn't think of and nails on the story-telling without words

@lyss-butterscotch who puts a lot of effort to her gijinka au stuff (if you ask me which of her comics is my favorite- come on. you already know the answer based on who's writing this LOL)

@snailfen for having cutesy and detailed comics (i read ruff and ruff like garfield comics- they're not as frequent but i get this unexplainable feeling of happiness whenever i see it)

lovebrush chronciles is an otome game deisgbed by team/company I AM ACTUALLY NOT SURE DESPITE YOU SEEING IT EVRRYTIME YOU ENTER THE GAME HOLD ON neteaze games (passion of gamers) and it is about altnerate universes, time fuckery, and school life.

the game begins introducing itself as a regular otome school life sim (my condolences to the fans who fell for william first sight only to find out hes not an actual love interest trust me i see u i feel u) but then WHAM BAM!! just when u thougut ur girl best friend was lookin kinda cute she gets X_x in this summon circle and you jump in to save her only to find out youre now in a royal cage surrounded by people that needa sacrifice you to save themselves from their own doom. oh and youre not in your own world anumore good luck have fun

so now here goes the different plots and paths with the love interests. the way i playrd it was as they introduced it, which was ayn aklaid lars claerence. no cael route yet which rips me apart every night. the love interests seem to have consistent values throughout most universes despite all of their diferet upbringings which i find pretty cool considering schoollife and royaltylife are two completely drastic diferent things, and also i nejoy how mc is written with more character and an amazing design to match the rest of the beautifully drawn cast

on that topic the art is GORGEOUS. i have never seen such beautiful detailed art in a game before and i assure you it will not disappoijnt. the graphics and smoothness of the game are especially a great touch. THERES A MINI STORY FOR EACH CARD BTW SR AND UP ITS SO GOOD becasenit feels as if the creatoes actually put care and give a shit into whar theyre writing and drawing and even in little events the absolute quality and depth of the cast shines theough its just i cannot express how much you need to play tjis game if you like dating sims ITS FREE TOO??,×*#&@ IMSO SAD WHY ID OBEYEME GETTING SM ATTENTION WHEN THIS IS SITTJNGHERE HUH dont get me wrong i too was in that hole but trust me brother there is only one man worth it there and obeyeme sure as hell isnt gonna do it justice with its 200+ chapter peobably plotline

she's fast though, rushing from the living room to your bedroom, sometimes stop a bit to look at the tv, making sure she's not missing out on any good part of the show.

"you're mean", sowoen said, noticing your laughing form when she finish with the task you gave her, her face turn into a small pout as she walk over to you, helping you bring all the bowls down.

"you're too cute", your head lower down to give sowoen a kiss on her forehead before you pull away and crouch down to put the last bowl of food on the floor.

a soft hue of red show on sowoen face as she crouch down to pet one of your cat, going back to her quiet self as you chuckle softly at her reaction.

sowoen is quiet, she prefer to be by herself, reminding you of a cat,

and you yourself know how much you love cats.

Thoughts on kangaskhan?

Fun fact: Judging by some internal ID numbers and the behind-the-scenes lists we have, Kangaskhan may have been the second Pokemon ever created (Rhydon being the first).

This more "kaiju"-esq look, very common among early Gen 1 Pokemon, is one of my favorite things about Kangaskhan. It would have been super easy to just make it a regular kangaroo and call it day, but instead it's closer to a bipedal pouched dinosaur than anything, which is far more interesting.

My other favorite thing about Kangaskhan is that it's allowed to look powerful despite the motherly theme. A Pokemon that carries around a kid is one thing, but a Pokemon that will snap your spine like a glowstick if you so much as look at their kid wrong is another. And despite this, she's still super loving towards her kid:

In terms of the design itself, like I said, I like the almost dinosaur-esq look a lot. The yellow accents and the kid being blue draws attention to the pouch, the most important part of the design, and that plate on the head works nicely with the shape of the eyes.

The only thing I don't like are those random extruded blocks on the body. It looks like it's been greebled just to add detail for no reason, and I really don't think it's needed. The spines on the back are fine, as are the "shoulder pads", but the other parts feel like they could've been dropped. I also question the ears being yellow--as it makes them feel a bit disconnected from the body--and wonder if the back spikes should've been yellow instead, but that's a minor point.

And Mega Kangaskhan is perfect. Sometimes less is more, and having all of the energy from mega evolution to the baby so it can hop out and fight alongside mom is brilliant conceptually without being overdesigned.

I also like the minor lore confirmation here. While it's always been implied that young Kangaskhan gradually change appearance to match their mom (not the only Pokemont to do this--Vulpix also does, for example, though this is the only time we see it visually represented in the games), Mega Kangaskhan confirms it and even shows the baby starting to get the same eyes and extrusions as mom has.

My only nitpick is that the extrusions around the belly are particularly unpleasant due to the way it breaks apart the underbelly markings, and doesn't make sense anyway because mom doesn't have any greebling there anyway. That's it though.

Also, side note: While not that big of a deal, it is strange we never got the baby as its own pre-evo. Sure, you would technically have it evolve with a child out of nowhere, but it's not like that makes any less sense than it hatching fully grown with a child (sometimes you just have to accept non-canon gameplay mechanics and move on). I just find it funny that someone looked at Gen 1 and went "you know which Pokemon here needs a pre-evo? Jigglypuff.

But anyway, as a whole, Kangaskhan has a pretty solid design and a very unique (and heartwarming) theme. It also has one of the best mega evolutions we ever got, period. Way to go, funky kangaroos.

Your outfit design on the mci is so good!! Do you have any tips for how you put them together, picking colors, ect?

i’ve been putting off answering this because i know id ramble for about a thousand words because designing characters is my favorite part of the character making process + i spent almost a year refining the mci designs. BUT i’ll try to be cohesive and to-the-point about the tips and pointers i held myself to while designing the characters

info starts under the cut just in case ppl don’t care

1: keep the time period and age range of your character(s) in mind.

athazagora, or at least the part where the children originated from, is in 1985. knowing this, i wouldn’t use clothes in my designs that weren’t around/weren’t as popular, as that would make the date and clothes meaningless and out of date.

considering a character’s age is important, too, as styles and the “maturity” (for a lack of a better word) of said styles evolve with the character. for example, gabriel, a 5 year old boy, would not be wearing the more alternative, dark, and overall mature-type clothing that jeremy, a 14 year old punk, would be wearing.

adding on to that, it is also important to consider the personality of your character while designing them. unless you are specifically going for a misdirective character design (like that one bear from toy story. sorry he’s the best example), having characters wear stuff that doesn’t compliment their personality makes them confusing (in my opinion).

2: use a color palette that is easily identifiable and pleasing.

what is pleasing to look at and what is identifiable is subjective, i know, but this entire thing is subjective so…………….//Yeah

anyways. i’d say to always stick to 5 colors at the least, and 10 at the most. over 10 base colors in a design makes it hard to remember, and if you can’t even remember the design of your own character, who will?

secondly, a character’s color palette also has to reflect their personality. sorry. i’m gonna use gabriel and jeremy again because i designed them with a juxtaposition in their traits and designs in mind:

jeremy, a punk kid who is timid and sad, has a color pallete consisting of mostly grayscale and red. these colors, especially when compared to the other colorful cast of characters in athazagora, clearly set him apart as a character that is not like the others.

gabriel, on the other hand, is a bouncy 5 year old who is very happy all the time. this is represented through the minimal use of dark colors in his pallete. he even includes some sun buttons on his overalls, which usually signifies that something is bright and cheerful. this contrasts jeremy’s skull, which usually represents sadness and gloom.

but color palletes are nothing without proper implementation. to really utilize a color pallete, you need to create designs that catch, and keep, somebodys attention. I’ll use gabe as an example AGAIN because he’s my favorite design

on the left is his design from july of last year. it uses mostly the same colors as his current design (the shorter one on the right), but it is oversimplified and unappealing. he looks like a background character in mlp. in the current design, still using the same colors (as stated before), there is more contrast and patterns; the black stripe against the blue, yellow, and white; the horizontal stripes of his shirt against the vertical ones of his overalls; these little details require a viewer to actually look at the design to fully understand it.

3: (the final tip unless i think of any more) design what you like to draw.

there is little to no point in making shit you hate drawing. and i’m not talking tedious, if you genuinely do not like to draw something, don’t. you control your art experience, and you’re just fucking yourself over if you force yourself to make stuff you don’t enjoy.

for example, i really like overalls. i love designing them, customizing them, and that is why they are on most of the missing kids designs. i draw what i like to see.

32) Do you listen to music when you write or does music inspire you? If so, which band or genre of music does it for you?

i listen to SO MUCH MUSIC!!!!! it depends on what im wrting tbh but i just queue up a bunch of songs in my liked playlist and write and write until it ends or im no longer on that flow. and well my music taste is an absolute mess so there isnt any one definitive band or genre that does it for me (i only pay attention Sometimes) but i suppose artists like mitski and queen would be a decent summary of my taste 😅

50) How did you get into reading and/or writing fanfiction?

gravity falls, no stop. the first one that ever piqued my interest was versability (originally on ff.net me thinks) and god damn it HOOKED ME!!!! gravity falls was already getting me up but wow that just got me SO MUCH HIGHER. i have a few authors i started binge reading like thesnadger and pinesinthewoods, i started extracting fics from reccs from tumblr artists, soon discovered ao3, and never looked back. and as for writing fic,,,,, well frankly it was the search for the cure’s original form that got me GOING!!!! it originally had crappy ocs as the forefronters but i soon changed that lmao (im definitely not saying theyre bad in general, just those… no) and i wrote So Much For It on my notes app. i didnt realize i culd actually show people until way later, in which i did, and realized that it could actually be better. thats why i reversed back to part one, made the story a part two, scapped the ocs, and…now we’re here. i still love it and gravity falls, i dont really show it here anymore. i really should, man. i need to write for them again!!!! it still excites me!!!! and the prose that im weaving now,,,, id DEMOLISH THE GAME!!!!!!! :)

honestly i think just showing you my favorted ao3 tags will paint a very detailed picture. here:

though i suppose if i had to pick one here…god its between time loop and presumed dead (and grief/moruning but idk if thats a trope so much as it is a theme). MMMMMMMM. mmmmm. just YES. the psychological affects of both being a time loop and thinking someone you love is dead but they arent actually are DELICIOUS!!!!!!!!!! they are a MUST HAVE. i daydream constantly, but i havent written time loop yet because while i love it, i havent hadthe motive to write such a thing myself. reading is chill ✊ and presumed dead well i try to throw it is as much as i can, the most recent ive used being a west end town and my favorite being that one kid from jersey ! i need to do more of these fr. its just so GOOD!!!!!!

okay. its finally time for the brainwashing discussing of the fic ! i can tell you alllll about that story and it will be my pleasure sonny 🫡 its a very long story. but short verison in case you dont want to go on: its a Titanic epic . april 1912. iceberg. ive read a few that are AMAZING, but i wanted to write one that catered it allll to Me. it has lesbians, heaven sucking ass, flood parallels, and a king of the world AND draw me like one of your french girls scene. very nice 🔥

okay now its time for the long story. so a super super long time ago for a post i cant even remember (i really wanna find it 😭😭) i for someone reason went on a tangent about the titanic. i had just read this fic called sinking into the sea which was tbh VERY GOOD (and i would read it again fr fr ) but at the time, i was kinda bummed that aziraphale and crowley never actually Interacted when i had expected. aziraphale didnt even know crowley was there!!! it left me feeling melancholy, and realizing that all of the titanic fics ive ate up to that point didnt HIT hit the spot (i didnt find this after this realization, but again, theyre not even on the boat 🤧) so i was feeling a bit incomplete. i started ranting and ranting it was a wholeee wall of a text of what I would do with a titanic story and i realized oh wait i can Do Something with this because i haev free will and actual (somewhat) coherent skill. pepper jumped on the wagon, REALLY REALLY encouraged which i cant thank enough for, and….we’re here. its brewing. i had a very large interest in the titanic for a long time before this tbh, so being able to insert it into The Interest just JUMPSTARTED my brain and it still does to this day. now for the plot….

its 2020, a year after the apocalypse (no pandemic). anathema, newt, brian, crowley, and aziraphale have been assigned to plan adam’s 12th birthday party—they shenanigan, as you do. on the day of the party (adam’s birthday) anathema and newt find a chest in jasmine cottage’s attic full of titanic relics, including a pack of polaroid photos (handheld cameras did indeed exist in 1912, i checked !) which kinda might sort of have a photo of aziraphale and crowley!?!?! it was sent to them about six months before. but after the whole Second Volume fiasco, anathema just sort of wrote it off in that way and Hid It. but newt was curious, he found it, and god it was writtent his way wasnt it. (well, not by the nutter they were thinking of actually). anathema confronts them about itsoon after, and they all sit down to hear the story of the titanic in a sort of rose dawson beat. then its 1912—50ish years since the holy water incident and almost a century since the resurrectionists disaster. aziraphale has been assigned to take this trip to new york for Some Reason (we found out why later) and happened to invite crowley to come along to attempt to make amends after Allat (he really does feel bad, but he will NOT do the holy water thing yet </3) shit occurs, but history atlarge will not be rewritten. it does change their story, though. adding a sprinkle of interest in the device family line. agnes prophec(y)(ies), dancing on deck under the stars, playing cards with humans and winning by a Lot, aziraphale’s artistic skills are put to use at one point—ughghgufhits just so DEAR TO ME!!!!! and of course the conflict will come later, especially considering the religious connections to the titanic sinking—“not even God can sink this ship” type conversation 🥰 aziraphale can and will be made uncomfortable. its for the character development dont worry about it. i even have a playlist for this fic (it sorted by the way the tone shifts thru the story, some songs are silly but they had to stay). pep has also made some song covers to some of the songs that ive heavily connected to the fic and I REALLY FUCKING LIKED. LIKE A LOT. THEYRE AMAZING YOU SHOULD LISTEN IF YOU WANT TO!!!!

the point of all this is that i like titanic fics and im trying to throw my hat in the ring even if its just for me and my friend 🔥🔥 because while others have fed me, i havent seen ones that have documented like Every Single Day on the titanic that aziraphale and crowley would theoretically have as well as developing aziraphale and crowley’s relationship while taking into account whats happened before (insert the story into a part of the timeline seamlessly i think thats how i’d describe) AS WELL AS connecting the reason why the titanic was such a freak tragedy and how the world is not fucking fair instead of just “oh whoops the thing sank 😞” i want NITTY GRITTY DETAIL!!!!!! I WANT GUILT!!!!!!! I WANT CHAOS!!!!!!!! I WANT TALKING ABOUT GOD!!!!!!! I WANT AZIRAPHALE IN A MENTAL CRISIS!!!!! I WANT CROWLEY JUST WANTING TO FUCKING LIVE FUCKING PEACEFULLY!!!!!!! I WANT LESBIANS!!!!!! i need to get on this,,,, so much to do. i love it all and TY FOR THE ASK!!!!

hiii!! your artstyle is SO COOL to me- as in sometimes i'll just stare at some of your pieces because theyre all so great. i was wondering if you were comfortable sharing your process when it comes to art?? i'd love to see how you do things!

Hi!! I'm sorry this took so long to answer, I hope you still find it useful. It means a ton to me that you enjoy my art so much! <3 It's easy to feel discouraged by the Invisible Hand of Internet Engagement, so I really appreciate your ask.

General thoughts (NOT rules, just things I consider or do a lot):

Things that appear one solid color irl can be broken down into multiple colors through artistic interpretation. I see a lot of beginner artists paint trees as solid green, when there's a lot of yellows, blues, and browns in there! A FANTASTIC example of this is jadenvargen, whose color use is masterful and I can only aspire to emulate one day.

Base colors are not saturated; saturation is reserved for pops of color and details

Shadows are purples, blues, and greens

Reference is your best friend!!!

So the nitty gritty for those who want to see: with digital art there's two main avenues I take. The first one is lineart, and the second is painterly. All IDs are in alt text.

My process for lineart pieces:

I always start off with a sketch; for this example I'm using one of my pieces from @/mylittlefusions (that isn't actually posted yet but will be later today) - a Grogar and Trixie MLP G4 fusion. I like to fiddle with brush selections until I get the effect I want, and then go slow on the lineart to make sure it's how I want it, so this can be time consuming!

I've been trying for distinct shapes; I hate when my art gets muddled, I feel like the end piece is less impactful when I don't put in the right amount of contrast and distinctive silhouettes. Just something I've been thinking about and trying to improve.

Then I add base colors, going for slightly desaturated colors. I like to use saturated/bright tones to contrast or draw attention to something. I put the base-base colors down in one layer and then add details as a mask layer:

Then comes shading!! I'm a big fan of a multiply layer set to cool tones like blue, so I usually start there. If I think it needs to be different I can change it later. In this instance, I filled the whole canvas in the shading color as a mask over the base colors, and then erased where needed. Now that the shading is done, I often go back and color the lineart :)

Last but not least is my favorite part, painting on top! The extent to which I do this depends on what I think is needed, but I usually at least paint on top of the multiply shading to add some nuance, i.e. the greener bits on the background limbs. Here I added bright magic outlines to pop from the more desaturated character.

My more painterly style is a different story though! I use the same thoughts about color and shading, but I usually forgo multiply layers entirely and just do colors by eye. I still do a sketch, usually. Here is an example using my Lae'zel / Shadowheart piece.

The sketch is a disaster zone lol - but I painted below it using base tones, again desaturated. Once I feel I don't need the sketch anymore, I keep painting, making a new layer when I feel like being cautious about a change I'm making.

After I feel that I've got base colors down, it's time to get more contrast in using darker and/or more saturated colors! Then, like with my lineart process, I paint more details on top of everything else - reflections, jewelry, body hair, etc. I try to communicate shadow and distance with purples and blues, but I'm still working on it.

Another example real quick, where i did my typical lineart process base work and then painted on top of the shadow layer and the entire piece as a whole:

20 asks with a liiiiitle bit of FNAF lore/hints 😂

So with Bonnie, yeah a lot of his memory leading up to his “accident” has been lost. Presumably due to damage taken to his head. Id say he lost about 2 weeks worth of memory? which is why he doesn’t remember Monty getting damaged or the details of his own accident.. but he does remember Foxy getting banned and how business suffered because of it.

As for Vanny and if she plays a role? And what Bonnie’s “accident” and Foxy’s “incident” actually was? Well, I’d love to tell ya,, but that’d spoil the story! 😅 But don’t worry, there is an explanation for this. For once I actually thought ahead and filled in a lot of the story! Which is why I’m so excited to jump into my next comic XD

I mean.. aaaa I dunno! I like drawing different aspects of different characters. I like drawing DJMM’s big arms and hands, but I also like drawing Freddy’s face and Monty’s tail.. hmm, but drawing Bonnie’s legs is fun too..

I’d say at the moment.? Maybe overall I like drawing Bonnie. Drawing all the squiggly wires poking out and getting creative with his hand gestures and poses considering he’s missing most of his limbs--

That picture was half a joke but also half hinting at a potential future comic.

I have not, and for one specific reason. Transformers Animated fans are gonna hate me for this 😅 ---

So a while back I watched all of the bayverse transformers movies and thought “Yo, these are awesome! I should totally watch a transformers show!” So I went online and looked up all the transformers shows and one I found was Transformers Animated.

But here’s the thing, I knew that it was kind’a popular.? Like I’ve seen a lot of fanart of it so I thought it would be a good one to watch.. but MAN I could NOT get over that art style.

I REAAAALLLY didn’t like the art style of the show. I didn’t like the way the characters were shaped. Optimus’s legs, Ratchet’s beer belly and booty shorts- Bumble bees entire head and the Optimus’s LIPS--

Anyway. So judging a book by its cover I tossed the show aside and watched Transformers Prime instead because I liked the art style of that one more... ;- -

When I was first designing my Sona I thought the head looked cool but the rest of the body was kind’a plain.. so I wanted to add something.

At the time my hands were covered in band-aids due to excessive hand washing and cat scratches, XD So I thought “Hey! Bandaged hands would look cool!” So I gave my Sona bandaged hands and just called em “artist hands”

collaboration spotlight — Twenty One Pilots mashup by Kurt Hugo Schneider & VoicePlay

VoicePlay fans sometimes joke that the sounds these guys can make are so incredible as to be inhuman. This production took that assertion one step further. Kurt had them record their vocal parts as they normally would, then he sampled and remixed those voices to create something very cool. The result is more electronic than their usual sound, but there's no denying that it's an innovative twist.

This is a video I rarely watch just once, since it can be a lot of fun to pay close attention to what each guy is doing individually and how they all fit together.

Trivia:

This video racked up a million views in just three weeks!

The audio track is exclusively available through VoicePlay's Patreon.

Like so many of VoicePlay's prosthetic makeup effects, the coaxial plugs that turn the guys into input / output devices were created by Andy Wright at Makeup & Creative Arts in Orlando.

I'm not sure if they intended for there to be narrative significance to the placement of the plugs, but having Layne and Geoff's near their vocal chords, Eli's in his noggin near the parts of the brain that handle analytical tasks like reading and math, and Earl's near the Superman tattoo on his muscular arm all seem potentially symbolic.

A fan was inspired to draw fanart of the guys a couple months later, which they very much enjoyed.

VoicePlay had released their own full version of "Ride" earlier in the year as an installment in their PartWork series.

Layne and Tony had created a much sillier music video for "Heathens", featuring the Sanderson sisters from Hocus Pocus, as their Halloween offering from PattyCake Productions the month before.

The guys (including J.None) collaborated with Kurt again almost a year later for a rendition of "Waving Through A Window" from Dear Evan Hansen that was released in January 2018.

Hmmm idk if i have any fave color combos or color palettes, pink is my fav color so ones with it are maybe more likely to catch my eye, but i like all color palettes id say :]

⋆｡ﾟ☁︎｡⋆｡ﾟ☾ ﾟ｡⋆ nemu actually met you through a chance encounter in a mock rap battle during the tdd era as audience members. it was your personality that drew her in, but she was actually surprised by how blunt you were, but if she were being honest, your humor makes her laugh a lot. your relationship means the world to her, especially since she made sure that samatoki didn't interfere as much as possible. she loves her brother, but he can get carried away when it comes to her. nemu's definitely the one who ended up liking you first, but she's unsure on how to express this to you. as a partner, nemu is very, very sweet. she's scared of messing anything up, so she carefully plans everything in advance. when she finds out that you like cats, she actually comes forward with the idea of adopting a cat together with you! it became your bonding activity, with two of nemu's favorites in the entire world: the cat and of course, you. she has your favorite boba order/s memorized and likes to surprise you with getting some. nemu's the encouraging type, so expect a lot of comforting words from her. she's also the type who likes bringing you out to shop, whether it's for your art materials or for clothes, nemu likes hearing your inputs on the items you buy (or consider buying) and takes note of them so she can surprise you with them in the future.

ID LOVE LOVE TO TALK A BIT ABOUT THE BACKSTORIES its just so violently long and theres so much to take in im gonna just [as shortly as i can] explain everything :333333

THIS IS TORA AND GARRA [not their actual form but their dragon form is annoying to draw and not finalised in the design], they're not only siblings but gods!! the most important gods in my oc stories and they basically control the fabric of reality too LAWL!! they have multiple galaxies and universes they take care of and in each one of those there's guardians who protect either a specific galaxy or just a specific planet.

there are also demi-gods as well who are either created by the gods or picked out from naturally born places. the demigods take care of specific duties [mountains, oceans.. or even topics like love, rage.. or prophecies] so that the gods dont have too much on their plate

then theres guardians who protect specific parts of planets, guardians are a bit different and can vary from importance and size. like one of the protagonists friends is a guardian [tyler] and hes just a lil dragon who protects a large forest near her backyard some guardians can be protectors of entire countries as well! it really depends on who created the guardian. demi gods can also create guardians and guardians can take human appearances too :3

ANYWAYS, the protagonist is Rose! shes a huge book nerd and loves to learn more about all that mythical and creature stuff. she used to be a lot into D&D and that's where she met her boyfriend Tony. shes super into all that stuff and wants to learn more and more everyday. shes hoping to get a job in the future that specifically scavenge ancient mythical relics.

she eventually finds Tyler! who is a guardian obviously. he is kind of like a big dog basically. in a fight with a shadow [we will get to that soon] he lost his memory and more importantly that he is a guardian. he obviously sticks with rose and they become besties!

rose tries to find out where tyler is from and how he got there and why he was in such a bad state. and her and her friends try to find someone with answers

the first antagonist is summer, who is the opposite of rose and hates guardians, mythical creatures and specifically Garra. and she tries to capture tyler and other guardians to get Garra's attention the most important antagonist [who comes near the end] is Jimmy! my favorite guy he is absolutely bonkers and also hates Garra but also Tora speaking of jimmy he is a shadow! i wont get into too much detail of what specifically they are and where shadows come from but they all come from a pocket dimension Tora made after an accident reaaaally long ago.

the story gets darker and more specifically about mental health and how it affects relationships and how badly it can affect your surroundings! [points at garra violently hard]

You knock on Aaron’s door but don't wait for an answer, instead just opening it. You recognize the brunette sitting in front of him from one of the times the team has hung out after a case at a bar, Agent Kate Callahan. You send her a friendly smile before focusing your attention on Aaron, “Sorry for the interruption.”

Aaron waves you off with a smile of his own, introducing the woman again, “This is Agent Kate Callahan. She’ll be joining the team”

“Hi, nice to see you again. Garcia will be very happy to already know you're nice.” You give a small laugh, before going back to business, “He’s at it again in Bakersfield.”

Aaron nods, “I’ll be right there.”

You walk to the conferences room, both agents following behind you. You take a seat as Aaron introduces Kate to the team, before he takes his seat next to yours, listening to Garcia give the details to the case.

“The M.E. thinks the victims were alive for 48 hours while he disarticulates.” Reid scrunches his eyebrows as he looks over the file.

“So, that means the unsub’s sexual gratification comes from cutting.” Kate theorizes.

You nod, “He wouldn't go to these extremes id he were merely discarding the limbs.”

“Exactly.” Reid agrees with you, “He obviously enjoys the ritual. It’s some kind of torture.”

“So if it isn't about easy disposal, the limbs could be his trophies.” Derek theorizes.

“He’ll need preserving agents and isolation.” Aaron says, looking up from his file, “Garcia, come up with a list of suppliers in southern California. We’ll cross that with a geographical profile when we have it.”

You look over to her, “Keywords Sodium Dioxide and Silicate.”

Garcia smiles at you, “You are the best. Thank you.”

Reid sends you a mock glare, you just smiling at him. It’s become a sort of game between the two of you to see who can do more “brainiac” (Dereck’s words) things on a case, you obviously getting a jump start for this one. It’s fun and keeps the both of you on your toes.

Everyone gathers their things and leaves the room, heading to the jet.

You and Rossi are driving to one of the houses where they have preserving agents, making small talk as you go.

“So,” Rossi’s voice changes, which is never a good sign, “When are you and Aaron going to come clean about your relationship?”

You stay silent, not really having an answer for him. It doesn't bother you that he asked, and it wouldn't bother you if the team found out, but it is nice to not have them teasing you, which they will do the second something is confirmed. You and Aaron kept it quite at first, wanting to see where this was truly going, but its been about 7 months now, and you don’t see it ending anytime soon. You know Aaron feels the same way.

“Don’t know what you mean.” You stay looking down at your phone.

“Uh-uh.” Rossi shakes his finger at you, “You can’t pull that crap on me, I know relationships. Hell, I know work relationships. Aaron also can’t lie to me.”

That draws a laugh, making you look at the man, “Guess that makes two of us.”

“So?” He questions again.

You sigh, resting your head on back on the seat, “You’re all profilers. I’m surprised no ones said anything yet.”

“They have their suspicions.” Rossi confirms.

“Really?” You look over at him.

Rossi nods, “Especially after the Texas case. Aaron didn't leave you side after you went down.”

“Yeah.” You chuckle, “Guess thats pretty obvious.”

The rides quite for a few minutes, until Rossi speaks up again, “You’re good for him. Everyone can see that.”

“Mmm.” You hum, “He’s good for me too.”

No one says anything else as you pull into the drive way, the both of you getting out to knock on the door. A middle aged man answers, immediately, you don’t like his vibe, “What can I do for you, officers?”

“Agents.” You tell him, both of you holding up your badges, “FBI.”

“Oh.” He looks at your badge before looking at you, “My apologies. You must have worked extra hard to get that badge.”

“We all did.” You tell him, sharing a look with Rossi.

Yeah, don’t like this guy.

“You buy large quantities of preservatives.” Rossi states.

The man stumbles, “Um.. Is that a question?”

Rossi shakes his head once, “May we take a look at your supply?”

“Uh,uh, Why?” The man asks, nervously, “Is uh… Is there something that’s tainted.”

“No sir.”

“Is it a threat to me or my family?”

“No.”

“Well, then I'm sorry, but that is my private property and for you to come into my home, you're gonna need a search warrant.” He looks between both of you.

You study him, “Shoot.” shaking your head, “Knew we forgot something.”

“Well, I have to help my son with his homework.”

“Afternoon.” He tell him as he closes the door. You turn to Rossi, both of you with an eyebrow raised, “When we arrest that guy do you mind if I do the honors?”

“We might have to have to flip for it.”

A few hours later you and the rest of the team are staking out where one of the limbs were found. You see a car pull up and recognize that is was that same man.

The team quietly closes in, you making the move for contact, tapping on the window with your gun, “You’re on private property, so we have probable cause to search your vehicle.”

“Get out of the car.” Aaron orders him.

Kate, who is beside you, looks down at the passenger seat, “Oh. We got one.”

“Let’s pop the trunk.”

Aaron restrains him as you, Kate, and JJ look in the trunk, where you find two more legs.

Knew this guy was a creep.

You're laying on Aaron’s hotel bed as he does his night time routine in the bathroom, listening to you complain about Frank, the man you arrested.

“You should have heard him Aaron.” You scoff, putting on a fake voice to mimic the man, “You must have worked extra hard for that badge. Why? Because I’m a woman? Or because I’m young? Maybe it’s both. Maybe it’s because of how I look.” You sigh has Aaron makes his way into the room, shutting off the bathroom light, “I hate being undermined, but I hate it when it comes from creeps like him, more.”

Aaron chuckles softly, crawling into bed beside you and pulling you to lay on his chest, “I know. You shouldn't have to prove to anyone that you're a good agent.”

You look up at him, chin resting on his chest, “Rossi asked about us today.”

“Did he?” Aaron raises a brow, “Doesn’t surprise me. He’s been making comments about me and you before we even started dating.”

You shrug, “Well, I would say he’s not good at his job if he didn’t pick up on something.” You sigh again, resting your head back on his chest and cuddling into him more.

“Whats wrong?” He asks you, his hand soothing up and down your back.

“It’s just— is that what everyone is going to think of me? When they find out about us? Are they just going to think I got my job—“

“Stop.” Aaron commands you softly, cutting you off, “You, are a good agent. That’s how you have gotten to where you are. Nothing else.”

“I know that.” You look back up to his face, “But strangers don't know that.”

Aaron scrunches his eyebrows together, “Are you worried about what strangers think of you?”

You shrug, “Not unless they say something.”

Aaron chuckles, shaking his head at you, “If they say something, I’ll deal with them.”

“How very noble of you.” You close your eyes, ready to sleep away the agitation of the day. You feel Aaron lean over to turn off the beside lap, lean down to kiss the top of your head, and then mumble to you, “Goodnight love.”

You send Kate a tired, but friendly smile as she passes you in the hallway headed out of Aaron’s office. You knock on the open door, watching him look up at the folder on his desk to you.

“You headed out?” He questions.

You nod your head, walking into his office but not sitting down, “Yeah. Dropped off my report with Garcia so she can finalize the media outlet portion, she said shed give it to you tomorrow.”

“Alright.” He sends a soft smile, “I’m almost done here, just finishing up. Do you want to come to mine tonight?”

“You should have a night alone with Jack.” You smile.

“Okay.” He says, looking at you softy. He sends you a confused look when you don't move to leave.

“You should follow your own advice.” You gesture with your head to the file he has open, having overheard what he told Kate.

Aaron sighs, “Easier said than done.”

You nod your head a few times, studying him. You look behind you briefly to make sure no one was coming around, before leaning down to kiss his cheek, stepping towards the door to leave. You turn to him when you're at the door, “Call me later tonight when you cant sleep, okay? We’ll look over the file together.”

He sends you the soft look again, a more lively smile coming onto his face, one full of genuine thankfulness, “Thank you. Drive safe.”

You nod once more, tapping the door paneling twice, before walking out of the office.

The case might be closed on paper, but you know what Aaron and Kate are both thinking. Something doesn't feel right, and this case feels far from over.
