Who is the emperor at the time? If the sister gets set up with the upper class, does she ever meet the brother again? Do they know the other person is missing/ time travelled? Are they even sent back to the same time, or do they miss each other by decades (or longer)? Do they live their lives there with their gay roman lovers, or do they go back to their original time? Is it like Narnia where they live their lives, get time travelled back, and boom now they have all the experience and the memories but they're just as young as the day they left? What jobs could the total loser (affectionate) boy dude guy get when he is Barely Figuring It Out? Are you going for a more shenanigans filled comedy vibe, or Serious Time Travel/historical fiction Drama, or heartfelt something or other?

(sue me for staying in my comfort zone!!) but tbh it’s all tbd and i have a nasty habit of switching around timelines in my stories just to further confuse myself. <3 i think they DO eventually reunite. maybe it takes like. a year or so but i wouldn’t want to keep them apart forever and ever… i think they’re also in the same timeline but somehow got separated post time travel or something? brass tacks have not been sorted yet. as for endings! honestly im open to all of that tbh, i think i might go with it that in the end they’re like “oh maybe we will just live here cause we’ve already dealt with enough without like. trying to find a way back? and we’ve created this life and now we have someone we’re in love with so maybe it would be easiest just to stay” but i also like to Leave Endings Undecided and write up a bunch of different ones and pick when it’s called for. omg jobs i hadn’t even thought of that… he’s Educated in the modern sense of the word and also like. knows things about history so he could conceivably get a job as like. a shopkeeper or something. maybe he has political ambitions and could care less about the timeline and runs for office or something… maybe he works as a fisherman… as for the vibe!! i am definitely going to try and keep it lighthearted and fun <3 if im going to write a time travel it will make no sense and i won’t examine any implications of time travel <333 im sure i’ll have moments of emotion? i mean you really can’t have a story without that so. maggie rogers - surrender / this has just kinda been a mood all year. like messy and melodramatic and bombastic and honest
lady gaga - the fame monster / got pulled to revisit this, and i'm sorry but she served so fucking hard. this is the deluxe w the fame included btw
ariana grande - dangerous woman / idk i just felt like i needed to revisit it after spending a lot of time away and unfortunately it's still a really good pop album
mitski - the land is inhospitable and so are we / underrated as fuck healing album. easily her best
beabadoobee - beatopia / been revisiting a lot of summer 2022 stuff and this one has held up so well. really good album and great cover

What’s their love languages?
Yumi is 50/50 on Touch and Quality Time. Sure, she’s capable of saying some of the cheesiest cringiest shit, but that’s more of a balm for others who need it. When she needs to express her own love for love’s sake, it’s sex, cuddles, and tagging along on adventures.
Raymond is also split like 60/40 on Quality Time and Words of Affirmation. Is he a mouthy liar? Yes. Does he spend his entire life with verbal walls up wishing they could come down so he could have a gentle and vulnerable chat now and then? Also yes.
Who cooks? Who cleans up? Who’s banned from the kitchen?
Technically they both can cook, but whether they have the time or energy to do so is the issue. Raymond cooks more often, if only to save money. Cleaning is a shared effort with middling success. No picks or bans in the rayumi kitchen so far lol
Who does what chores?
Chores are juggled randomly as their shitty schedules allow. Yumi prefers laundry and hates doing the dishes. Raymond is good for maintenance but won’t organize or tidy shit.
Who is the more romantic one?
They’re both insane in the head romantic for each other but it usually manifests weird
Like Raymond, who’s used to being a caretaker, constantly trying to anticipate her needs and provide for her (but she’s ridiculous and mental so it’s a real head scratcher)
And Yumi expresses her feelings with physical harassment + trying to baby an old man
Baths or showers together? Do they like elaborate ones with bubbles and flower petals?
Showers, they don’t often have time for a bath. Both might secretly fantasize about a cute bubble and flowers bath but their tub is hardly that romantic and neither would want to clean up afterwards xD

Idk if they have “their” song I need to do more research, but I do be having a playlist of songs that describe their relationship :3c

Yumi loves affection anywhere, Raymond is super embarrassed to be seen as a creep in public but he doesn’t have the heart to push Yumi away

Their favorite place is probably the beach though. Inexpensive, local, and they can get crab rangoons :3c
What does a relaxing night in look like for them?
They enjoy a good couch snuggle, Raymond likes to read and Yumi will watch TV or play video games. Night does NOT end before they have ridiculous sicko mode sex

Mostly just by being there for each other through the awful shit. I can’t say more honestly xD I’m writing a fic about this dw

God no, but Yumi does love saying cringey shit just to embarrass/frustrate Raymond. He takes it well honestly xD

Their dream home is just a house that’s been paid off!! But they’re not financially there honestly, between the costs of running the mortuary and the costs of all the extra demon hunting shit, plus costs of keeping three people in the basement, Raymond doesn’t have much money. Yumi has debts and a weed habit and she likes to leech off Raymond lmao
Who would propose? What would their wedding be like?
My god, I don’t think they’re getting married o_o
Neither of them are too keen on the logistic and public aspects of marriage, and the ties that end up binding them are much more tangible than whatever a ceremony and some rings could offer.
Yumi does propose as a joke with anything vaguely ring-shaped though.
What is something they can never agree on? How do they meet in the middle?
They differ quite a lot on matters of faith. Raymond is obviously not a faithful Christian but he has a few holdover beliefs that he hasn’t really considered. What other beliefs he’s collected from research and travel he takes seriously, and he considers them evidence of his growth as a person.
Yumi hates organized religion, believes religion and most belief systems are based in control not truth, and strongly disagrees with the notion of there being one omnipotent god.
Some of Raymond’s beliefs strike her as archaic or simplistic. Raymond thinks Yumi could stand to be a little more thoughtful and less dismissive.
They respect each other as individuals more than they need their religious/sociological beliefs to interfere though.
