A constant thing that I tend to run into irl, whenever I meet a new person who also has an interest in the occult and/or magic, is the immediate assumption that they are more educated or experienced than myself.
It's like- guys, maybe, just maybe, in the era of the internet and information, perhaps we can give people the benefit of the doubt? That they might be educated? At least until they've shown otherwise?
Not every new person you meet is a "baby witch" and, even if they are, not every "baby witch" is looking for help from some random practicioner they just met.

Now I'm thinking about the "Save The Gerudo, Save The World" AU again.
Twinrova kills Nabooru in front of Link, and that's when he finally realizes that all the Sages are dead. They're all dead. He didn't know—his body may be an adult's but he is still a child, he didn't understand, and nobody had the heart to tell him outright in the very limited time they got to meet him after he defeated the monsters that killed them. In Ocarina of Time, in order for a Sage to fully awaken to their power, they have to die.
Link knows that Ganondorf's main motivation, prior to all this, was the safety of his people. He's off the deep end by the time Link is an adult, but it's possible that in the past, seven years ago, there's still enough Gerudo King in there to be swayed.
Navi says this is the worst idea ever. Link says he has to try.
So Link makes the decision to go back in time and offer himself—his allegiance, his Triforce, his life—in exchange for Nabooru's safety. Hero of Time or not, champion of Farore or not, Link is just one person; he knows he can't defeat the monster Ganondorf will eventually become while on his own and crippled with the knowledge that everyone he loves is dead. That isn't the future he's fighting for.
So he turns himself in to the Gerudo. He's brought before Ganondorf—and now he's a child, but he acts like an adult, he carries himself like someone who's been through every bit as much war as Ganondorf has—and makes his offer. Ganondorf can have whatever Link can offer him, if he saves Nabooru.
Ganondorf responds, "...What happened to Nabooru?"
And just like that, the horrible future Link was thrown into against his will is smashed to bits.

@val-of-the-north made an interesting point about Shabriri tbh 🤔 When you kill Gowry (that is apparently a similar entity, just for a different outer god??), he just respawns being like "Okay are you calm? Can we talk now?", but when Shabriri is attacked, he does get hostile!
And like... right, whereas Gowry doesn't have a shortage of vessels, Shabriri presumably (!) has to value his and can't just use random people afflicted by Frenzy. But even if for one reason or another he could not just start using (already conveniently blinded, mind you!) residents of the Mountaintops after losing Yura's body, at the very least, he could calm down if he defeats Tarnished. But he stays aggroed! Despite the whole "I am immortal and the choice I am offering is the only right one, you fool" thing.
Val said it speaks a lot about what kind of person Shabriri is and I honestly agree with this. He gets pissed when his one (1) effort to convince doesn't work out instantly, not willing to wait or further negotiate. Like.. first, his way to scream "MAY CHAOS TAKE THE WORLD!" is more that of a deranged maniac, as opposed to, say, Kale (cut content dialogue) speaking it as sort or desperate mantra for eternal peace and release from existential suffering, breaking the act after a somewhat "reasonable" speech. And then this.
Basically, for a man that was manipulative enough to convince the authorities to bury a whole nation alive as heretics they were not, Shabriri has a REALLY weak capacity for keeping the facade :/ Makes me think that back then, people who saw through his shit tended to "disappear"- since, yeah, bro can't spend one (1) extra effort to convince or wait.
