Hey lovelies. I hope you had a fun Saturday/Sunday wherever you are. I know some of you are already closing out the weekend.
We made it through another day-- and there's all sorts of action going on across all the platforms. I hope you got a chance to have fun, but also to rest.
I know you know this, but even though I do too I often forget it. Rest is so very important. It's so easy to burn out, especially when we're constantly exposed to so much online. I think to myself "oh it's fine I'll just get a few more things done" and then it's suddenly 3 hours later and I've had only 4 hrs sleep in the last 30.
Please please please give yourself self care today.
Go brush your teeth, or take a shower. If you feel like you can do more, brush your hair, or make yourself a nice cup of tea.
Do something for you that makes you relax and feel rested. On your last day of the weekend, make sure to take a few moments to yourself and just remember how awesome you are.
You may not feel like it sometimes, but I can tell you now you truly are Awe-some. You bring so much life and love to this world and you deserve all beautiful things you want.

So, I wanted to make this as an appreciation post for the fandom. Looking at all the reveals we've gotten in the last few days and seeing how much the world of TIG has expanded so quickly, I've been getting a bit nostalgic.
When I joined this fandom, it was August of 2022, barely a month out from the release date of The Final Gambit, the finale of The Inheritance Games. I found out about TIG at a random bookstore on a road trip and I had immediate interest (the hot tub scene sold me so quick). I was also still somewhat new to Tumblr back then but I wanted to see what the hype was here.
Back then, we were still in the Averyjameson vs Averygrayson era even though I'd say things were cooling down a bit. But, that's not my point. The community was getting ready for this; there were chapter reveals, theories, and oh, it was awesome. I was so happy to be part of it. And some of the people who made it a lively place back then are still here, but unfortunately, some have gone quiet. @averysjameson, @guppyclato, @lesbianator3000, @margolovescoffeeandbooks, and @cherryschaos, thank you for making my days back then. I know you may have moved on, but I thank you for the contribution you made at the time.
The only thing I will not miss is the toxicity that Averyjameson and Averygrayson fans plagued this fandom with and divided us so much. We had a lot back then to still savor, why did we have to do that to sour the tag when this series had so much more to offer than just the romantic subplot? There was a mystery at large and so many other characters to love. We only seemed to agree on hating Emily and the old man. Moving on, let's never do that again and if there is another love triangle, let's try being more mature about it. I know we can. If Gray, Avery, and Jamie moved on, so can we.
When we were told of The Brothers Hawthorne back in October 2022 and given those first chapters for the new book, I was over the moon. We were going to finally see the POVs of two favorites; Grayson and Jameson. I was so excited to see from Jamie's perspective, to get a mystery set in London and for him to solve it with Avery; it was an Averyjameson dream. However, come the actual release of the book and I was honestly so disappointed. I'm not sure why it didn't hit the levels it should have but I already said my piece on that and while I still have some disdain for that story, I look fondly at the parts I did love. And funny enough, I told myself Grayson's story will just have to do only because I was feeling sour over Jameson's plot. But low and behold, I loved it! It was deep, funny, interesting, and held my attention as if I was in TIG all over again and it hit more high notes than Jameson's. I may attribute that to the familial connections we see displayed there but it felt more rewarding and even if JLB still had more for Grayson's development, that didn't mean Jameson had to suffer for it. However, I'm hoping that this story here was a fluke and I'm putting my best foot forward in believing that maybe reading Averyjameson through Avery's POV again in Games Untold will give back that familiar feeling I've been missing for two years. I never said I wouldn't try again.
Now, we've entered a new era and this is a third for me; The Grandest Game and Games Untold. During this period, I met @hathorneheiress, my fanfic bestie, and a lot of my current supporters have been with me since TBH. I thank you very much for sticking with me by liking, reblogging, and commenting on my posts. You make my day in the same way I assume my content makes yours. I haven't said that enough and I don't think it will ever be. I'm happy that we're all still here now and going into this new unknown with our theories, headcanons, new characters, and plots. I'm sure it will be a blast. Thank you for giving me that feeling again these last few days; it felt like being with Avery and the gang, running through the House, finding another clue, waiting in anticipation what it reveals.
I hope that this next series is everything we hope for it to be, a new start for Gray, a chance to bond with the new characters we met in The Brothers Hawthorne, and an opportunity to make it feel like the hay days of the first book. I hope that Games Untold lets us relish that feeling with the original cast, to relive the good old days, to meet up with some old friends we haven't seen in a while, and to have that final hurrah that leaves us on the highest of highs in the best way possible. Maybe it'll make it easier to say goodbye to the ways it used to be and embrace the new storytellers but of course, with the way JLB leaves us hanging with every story she gives, who is to say that'll be it?
Thank you to everyone who makes theories, headcanons, fanfics, fanart, and so many other things that leave us wanting more. Thank you to everyone who showers that content with support in the form of likes, comments, and reblogs. Thank you to everyone who has been here from the beginning, in the middle, and now. You all made this a special place. Thank you to everyone who made this community that way and continue to do so every day. I'm happy to be a small part of that. See you in the next post.

Hi, I want to ask is there any reason as to why did you stop making saezuru chapter summary? Because I just want you to know that it always helps me to read your summary like you did in the past to get update with saezuru story before I buy the tankobon. (I always buy the jp tanko and english from June but you know how long the english official translation is published). But I will understand if you are busy or probably got sick and tired with the attitude of some fans in this fandom that makes you uncomfortable to share anything related saezuru.
Hi Anon, thank you for your message. I'm glad you found my summaries useful. I mainly stopped writing them because I'm way busier with work now than I used to be when I started this tumblr. And since I sit at my desk writing all day, I simply prefer to do something else in my free time. Plus, writing the summaries is pretty time-consuming and requires more brain capacity than I usually have left after a day of translating.
I still kept doing it for quite some time because it was fun to celebrate every new chapter with you, but I couldn't even translate a preview page without people reposting it on twitter and elsewhere, so that got pretty annoying after a while and contributed as well, I guess.
Sorry to everyone who genuinely enjoyed my blog. I had a lot of fun sharing my love for Saezuru with you all and made some awesome friends along the way. It's not like I've decided to never post a summary again or anything, but right now I prefer to pour all my energy into my work because I'm getting to translate some of my favorite manga and want to do them justice.
I can promise you, though, that you won't need a summary for chapter 51 because there's almost no text. ;)

Hi! First of all, I just want to say that finding your blog has been such a blessing to someone like me who's been a BTTF and Michael fan since age 8 or 9. I'd had no idea how awesome this fandom had gotten in the few years since I sort of faded out of it (in the sense that I no longer actively wrote fanfiction and so lost touch with some of the people I knew in the fandom). Your blog was like a welcome home gift and I'm so glad you're here!
Since you're such a huge Michael fan, I thought I might drop a recommendation that I'm not sure if you've received before. (But maybe you have?... Idk!) What prompted me to do this was the list of your top 5 Michael's performances - because his performance in The Casualties of War (1989) is definitely up there on my own list! Keep in mind that it's a deeply emotional, scarring movie, so if you're not in the right state of mind, maybe consider watching it at a time when you feel you can handle it. Needless to say, it's one of my favorite movies ever... Even though I've only braced myself to get through it once - I haven't rewatched it because it's so heartbreaking.

Forgot I was following you, welcome back! I saw in the tags of your bender post post you put vampire academy, did you work on old moroi? What were you inspirations? I know in the books it should have been either Russian or Romanian but they decided to go a different route for the culture
I am soooooooo glad you asked!
First, to give some background, I was asked to contribute a language to Vampire Academy by Y. Shireen Razack, whom you might know as a writer on David Schulner's hit medical drama New Amsterdam (note: David Schulner was the show runner of NBC's Emerald City, for which I created two languages!), but whose husband, Anupam Nigam, you may have heard of, because he was a writer on Syfy's Defiance—the show I poured my heart and soul into. Shireen said they were doing a show for the Peacock, and I'm always there for my Defiance family.
This time I had a partner, and so Jessie Sams and I worked to create the Old Moroi language (Aazh Naamori, in the language itself). There was very little to work with from the books, so we basically created as an a priori language that was situated physically in Eastern Europe, meaning that it could borrow from the surrounding languages, and also the languages that those languages borrowed from. There are a number of borrowings from Russian, Bulgarian, Romanian, Latin, Greek, and a few others. We gave them the option of doing a true a posteriori language that would've been a kind of Slavic creole or an original language, and production opted for the original language.
We had to rush a bit, because even though they didn't need the spoken language for a few months when we started working, the art department needed stuff for the written language in like two weeks, so we had to hit the ground running. Ultimately, our goal was to create a super sexy vampire language for a super sexy vampire show, and I personally think we were spot on.
Here's a kind of bullet point list of language features:
Oral and nasal vowels; oral vowels can be long.
Lots of fricatives; very few codas.
SOV word order with a tidy case system. Auxiliaries instead of mass conjugations.
I think the writing system we did is pretty great. Here's what it looks like (nabbing this from my Instagram):
We did a whole ten post thing on Instagram you can see here. Here's an example of the language:
Santazhonga se dulon nari oshi.
"May the Saints guide her home."
You can see "saint" is clearly a borrowing, but then there's other original stuff in there (se is a vocative particle; dulon is "home" in the dative). I think it's a super fun language. It didn't get used a whole lot in the show—or at least not the spoken version—but the written version was everywhere, and it was awesome. (Like, even the mark etched into Mia's hands when she's being punished is the for "water" in our script!) We hope this show runs for a good long time. We love it. I mean...
...how could you not love this show?!

Even now that it’s over, scrolling the notes back to the beginning of your involvement is awesome. You can literally see the excitement as it appeared and it was So fun while it was happening.
You truly carried the entire prowlpaganda move, I’m honestly more sad about your efforts not turning out than I am prowl loosing. I think it could’ve worked if we had bigger blogs on our side, I wish I had had the time to help contribute.
Experience wise though, I don’t think we lost. It was a whole lot of fun and prowl fans got a chance to shout some appreciation for him (and tbh the swerve side might’ve won the vote but. God were they heated. Too tense for half of em to have been havin fun)

That people send hate over op Wild is beyond absurd and completely inappropriate. Tho I will admit it has caused me some frustration in the past. See it’s not when Wild is op that I feel irritated, it’s when Wild is op only because the rest of the cast has been massively nerfed and had all their braincells stolen that I personally get annoyed and click away.
It’s not that Wild shouldn’t be op, he clearly should be, it’s just that he should be a top tier op badass on a whole team of goddess blessed op badasses.
Wild is awesome! There is no reason everyone else needs to be torn down so he can shine. He doesn’t need 8 clever experienced heroes to suddenly become incompetent toddlers who need him to show them which end of a sword to grab to be amazing. I just don’t understand the appeal of any Link being the only Link capable of tying their own boots without assistance.
Bleh I forgot where I was going with this. Oh right answering your question. If your goal is to upset people then it’s not a matter of how great you make your fave it’s more a matter of how many dumps you take on their faves by proxie in the process. Death threats however remain absolutely unacceptable under any circumstances.
Full disclosure not a Wild hater. Sky is my favorite because I somehow I always fall for the nicest of the background characters. For me Wild comes in 4th place after Hyrule and Legend.
Thankfully this won't be an issue as the fic takes place pre-LU, the characters I have to balance with Wild are mostly Zelda and the champions (and pre-calamity Link), and most of the ways that Wild is being op is stuff that is kind of reasonable, though a lot of it is my own personal interpretation.
Anyway, literally no other Link gets the hate that Wild does, and it's made me extremely hesitant to join LU-only spaces because I know how people feel about him. I put a lot of emotional energy into this guy and always feel kind of terrible when people are mean to him. I get if he's not someone's favorite or if they're sick of seeing a lot of content with him when their faves don't get as much attention, but this negative attitude about him makes it super uncomfortable for people who really like him. I've seen so many Wild stans be afraid to write about him or post about him because of how they might be received in the fandom and that is NOT OKAY.
This should be a fun piece of media to add to and interact with and not something that people should feel afraid of contributing to.

End of the Year Survey Summary
Thank you all for all of you who left feedback this year! We’ve had the chance to look through your comments and, with the help of our new volunteer team, have distilled them into some actionable items. Now a community survey is nothing without the community, so here we’ll provide a summary of some responses, hint at some plans for the future, and share your best moments!
Full details under the cut, but in short: One new rec list focused event, many returning events, and look out for a quarterly theme coming near the end of the year.
007 Fest and WIP Wednesday are always at the top of the favorite events list, but it was nice to see some newer events were in the top five as well, like Remix and our Halloween commenting challenge. Both of which we plan on doing again this year.
There wasn’t really a huge consensus on whether you all prefer themes or prompts, so that won’t be changing much. We will keep sprinkling in specific prompt lists throughout the year, but some months will just have a broader theme for you to draw inspiration from.
A few people suggested doing more to encourage rec lists, and we are trialing a new event: Weekend Wonders. Once a month we will give a theme/trope/character and ask that you suggest one fanwork in which it features. We will then do a round-up post of all the recommendations at the end of the weekend. You can see the January one here.
It’s been some time since we had writing workshops and there’s been some requests for these again. We are working on trying to develop something with a simpler format so that it’s easier to host. If you want to help with this, please reach out and let us know!
There’s also some interest in creating a zine, but your mods know nothing of this. If any of you do and would be willing to create a community document of what it involves, please do and share it with us!
Saturday Cafes have been much quieter lately, but we now have a set of prompt questions pinned to the writer’s corner slack channel for anyone to answer and hopefully spark some more discussion with whoever else is around and writing.
We tried doing a year-long theme of Characters of Bond last year and it... well, middling success. You seemed to like the idea even though we sometimes forgot to promote it and many of you were busy. Someone suggested quarterly themes and we really like this idea. We likely won’t start until the end year, but we loved the idea!
You all said you do enjoy our creatively named months even if there’s not a specific prompt to go with it. Which is good, cause we enjoy coming up with silly alliterations. Those won’t be going anywhere.

Definitely Mac making her entry in the 00Q fandom! I’m not an avid fic reader but her work is always so on point I have a hard time not seeing 00Q through her lens anymore.

Getting kidnapped during Fest was pretty cool!Honestly the slack in general has been fun. It's hard to have a place to feel safe in fandom these days.
I absolutely loved Remix! It was such a fun challenge and I loved seeing how my own work was remixed.
During Fest, Team 00 had a spreadsheet for contributions (like lyrics to be inspired by, photos, etc). The absolute chaos as we discovered only two of us knew how to use a spreadsheet was AMAZING (and hilarious).
I loved interacting with the authors and getting to know them through their writing and ongoing works and prompts.
Fest was awesome.
This year was a blast. I worked on 4 longish 00q fics (two of which were based on MI6 Cafe themes). My collaboration with Anya for Harry Potter and the Fucking Audacity was possibly the most fun (and also stressful because it was unplanned and I had other things to work on), but I also enjoyed writing my crossover AU and my NTTD fix it. Basically, toward the end of last year I was worried that I was running out of stories in this fandom, and the themes MI6 Cafe supplied definitely spurred new ideas that kept me excited and creative... even if I only used one or two of them in the year, they kept me busy much of the year. And Fest is always fun, but I particularly enjoyed this year. Seriously love you guys! I feel so fortunate that you maintain this wonderful fandom community and space that feels safe and I can contribute to, but that will survive without me when I get too busy with RL (or FTH) to participate much. Thank you!
I’ve enjoyed the fandom since joining, thanks for the work you do and spaces you keep!
Fest is usually a delight
I very much enjoyed the 007 fun Fest and being able to participate in the smaller, less time consuming challenges. It was the first time I had done something like this and my personal highlight was being able to come up with my very own 4 line poem in a bid to rescue the fic author from the villains team :D
For me it was just joining the fandom. I joined around the start of summer this year and it has been a blast so far. I don't engage in fandom spaces often and to join one that is so supportive and chill in its own way is definitely a highlight.
appreciate everything mods have done! This was a fun year.
Oh goodness: Fest. It was amazing! LOVE all the creativity! And it seems like it created a momentum throughout the year.
There have been so many moments for me, as a new member of the fandom, to be bowled over by the sheer talent and incredible camaraderie. Thank you, thank you, for the welcome and the amazing creative community!

ManaPost 17 [BONUS] - About That...
Hi. It's Y. I don't want to drag this intro for too long, considering personal things will be conversed in today's bonus ManaPost. If you don't want to see that, here's your warning.
WHERE'S PPP!?
As you should know, PPP! was originally created for Ludum Dare 54 back at the tail end of September. I was incredibly sick over the weekend of the event, but I tried my best, and came up with some (albeit subpar) prototype. The team decided we'd just make it a Halloween title, and I took a break until October 20th.
From the start, PPP! was NOT a game we had wanted to make.
I thought I'd be able to adjust and we'd make an amazing game for you to play! Unfortunately, I really don't even want to see PPP! anymore 😭😭
PPP! was a neat game in the context it was originally intended for: Ludum Dare. It would've been nice to release it yesterday, but right now, development is canceled. Apologies from everyone here on the Manapotion team. We didn't want to let you down.
Now, on to the personal bit.
WHAT HAPPENED???
I (still Y) had a "situation" the afternoon of the 27th. I'm not going to get into it here, considering I'd like to keep a (somewhat) professional appearance on our platforms if that's okay.
Usually, I can push through events like what happened the 27th (will herein be referred to as "The 27th" for simplicity). When we wrote and posted ManaPost 16, I thought I'd be able to "lock in" and just get PPP! out of the way. I was starting to feel disappointed in my work though, and that was one of the contributing factors as to why PPP! isn't releasing.
Two days later, on Sunday, the emotions from The 27th just hit me like a train and I honestly didn't want to work on anything. Luckily, I did get to visit most of our team, including a few friends, and it brought my mood up. We had an awesome time 💙
But it didn't improve my motivation!!! I felt like a failure. I don't like to let people down, and in writing this ManaPost for you, I feel like I have. I have my own personal flaws, but I still want to keep up appearances and deliver good stuff! I've been the amateur programmer for our team for three and a half years! I'm only a senior. Sometimes I get caught up in comparison. I hope you can forgive me.
For now, I don't even want to TOUCH Godot!!! PPP! has genuinely drained the life out of me and I want to just take a break.

hello there!! so glad you're enjoying the fruits of my labor <3 target audience reached!
Behrad truly is a funky and awesome dude, and I wouldn't blame you for just skimming the show for all his scenes (bc i've done that more than a few times myself!) and the wiki truly is terrible! so just a few points that I feel like are the necessities are:
The Behrad we see following the s4 finale is from a timeline different from the one established in s3 (in which he dies helping Zari escape). In the new timeline, the Tarazi family never had to go into hiding, and Behrad is the one who joins the Legends during the totem storyline that takes place in season 3.
Zari in the new timeline, on the other hand, grew up as a child celebrity due to the events of the s4 finale, and becomes a superstar, which means Behrad grew up in her shadow.
When he was a kid, there was a reality show made about their family, Kardashians-style, that Behrad hated so much that he refused to take part, and he was replaced by an actor. This spiralled into a lifelong tendency to mask his real feelings and to be the laid-back and unbothered person he appears to be when we first meet him. It also contributed to his stoner habits, using weed as a coping mechanism.
That said, he does love Zari a lot. They just have a lot of unresolved issues that they've avoided talking about, and only confront in season 7.
It would probably take me more time than i'm willing to put in to explain much about him, though my fics probably say a lot of what i think i'd probably end up saying? especially if you're looking for my perspective on him as a character. the behrad tarazi tag on my other blog is probably another place you might find things, both from myself and from other people, though it's a bit of a mess in there! but i do think the best way to learn about him is to watch all of his scenes from s5-onward, as well as zari's scenes too (both versions, imo! z1's version of history is just as crucial to behrad as a character as the post-s4 version). I would especially recommend 6.09 "This is Gus", and 7.09 "Lowest Common Demoninator", as those are i think his biggest episodes and worth watching in their entirety!

Thank you so much for translating all of the Golden Kamuy related content!! As a fellow tsurumigirl myself I'm eternally grateful that you took a lot of your own free time to translate so much content about a series that doesn't even have much traction in the west to begin with and made it widely available on your blog. Also, even though I don't know japanese, it really seems like you did an awesome job at capturing the witty language and humour (especially Satoru Noda's interviews) of the og text. I know it takes a lot of time and effort to do those types of translations so, again, thank you so much for your work! Golden Kamuy is a truly special piece of fiction and I'm glad I got to learn more about it through your translations. Gaining more insight to it all was super nice and those drama CD's were pretty funny too. For what it's worth I trully appreciate your service, it is factually more selfless then any US marine. Even if you don't feel like translating more in the future I loved reading the amount you've done this far. Hopefully we'll get more story involved GK content (besides merch) in the future, a side story involving pre-gold hunt 7th Division (more Ogata/Usami dynamic we didn't get nearly enough of that glorious mess) or a tiny sequel of Shiraishi visiting Sugimoto and Asirpa after a timeskip would definitely be too much to hope for but a girl has her dreams... no problemo 💞 gk having no reach outside jp is specifically what made me translate for it in the first place, or rather seeing a piece of information translated woefully wrong by someone else and being like um i have to fix this. i rarely get passionately invested in anything myself, but when i do i just feel the need to share my love with others, you know? and contributing to making the extra stuff accessible is my way of doing it, so :) i'm glad you think i managed to convey noda's tone!! both english and japanese are foreign languages for me so it's inevitable that some stuff is going to come out stiff and awkward and unnatural, but i genuinely did my best to make all of my texts easy to read! so i'm glad it's noticeable, thank you so much <3
i think that if noda ever releases other material regarding gk i'll give in and translate it like i did all previous times. i see stupid annoying disrespectful people posting my shit on twitter and get mad and go like i'll never do anything for you ingrates again. but it boils over. at the end of the day my love for the series outweighs whatever gripes i have towards its dumbass insufferable poor man's f*ndom, and there's always going to be waaay more people that just read silently than the loud idiots on twitter dot com. so it's all good. i do really love gk a lot
as for the last part idk, in this fast-going vapid profit-obsessed era of endless prequels/sequels/spin-offs/reboots etc i think there's an elegant beauty in a timely, neat ending. the story told what it had to say and wrapped up oldschool style which i think is good... stuff that drags on forever in pursuit of profit has no soul. though of course if noda released any of that i'd read it it just wouldn't be the same. so i'm content 🫶

Rammstein Stadium Tour 4th July 22 (Nijmegen, The Netherlands)
I saw someone on here say ‘please share your Rammstein concert stories’ so I want to contribute to that. At first I wasn’t planning to because mine are boring since I always stand in the back of the crowd. But at the same time, how can I not write about it here!
This was my 4th time seeing them live. I went with my bf who had never in his life been to a concert (or festival in general). I don’t know about other stadium tour experiences but ours had a festival vibe to it. (I will spare you the traffic chaos before and after the show because holy shit!!). I’m a person who likes to stand way in the back because I’m not one for big crowds, let alone stand in the middle of them. I like to have some space.
I don’t know the order of the setlist anymore but I think they started with Armee Der Tristen, followed by Mein Herz Brennt. With that song they had little pauses right before the chorus, which they did twice and they fooled me both times. So Till sang the line ‘mein herz brennt’ and instead of the music continuing, they stopped so everyone headbanged for nothing lmao. I think Zick Zack was next but after that I don’t remember the order. They played Sehnsucht, Link 234, Ich Will, Zeit, Rammstein, Puppe, Mein Teil, Du Hast, Zeig Dich, P*ssy...and more but excuse my memory here. I do remember after the show when we went to get food I heard a girl next to me say ‘I really wanted them to play the big titties’ song. Which made me laugh a bit because I would have loved to see that one too.
I got a little emotional during Ich Will because that was one of the first songs I ever heard from them when I was a 9 year-old girl. And realizing that now I was there as a (almost) 30 year-old woman, them still being my favorite band after all these years, hearing that song and that lyrics, Till asking to show our hands in dutch, that was a moment for me. I felt really thankful to once again be there, even though I’m way at the back and they can’t see me raising my hands, it’s special either way.
My bf said he wanted to ‘dress for the occasion’ but I assured him multiple times that Rammstein’s audience is super diverse and it doesn’t matter what you wear. Which is also something I love about this fanbase and what I notice everytime I go to a Rammstein concert. It doesn’t matter your sex or gender, your age, the way you dress, if you stand still or headbang your ass off. Every fan is respected in their own way. I don’t know if other people feel the same way about that but for me that’s always something that I notice and I love it.
I had a blast and my only ‘critique’ is that I wished it was longer, haha. My bf also really enjoyed the concert even though it’s not really a genre he listens to. He made pictures (which I will post later) and a few videos aswell. I know for sure he made one during Richard’s solo during Rammstein and the awesome firework part during Du Hast. If anyone is interested I could post those on here aswell, let me know!
